What you can automate

What can the Salesforge Make integration do for your outreach?

The Salesforge Make integration links your Salesforge account to Make so that what happens in your email campaigns can start a scenario, the automation you build in Make as a chain of modules. A module is one brick of that chain. Here, 9 of them watch your campaigns and 1 updates the label of a thread.

Route interested prospects faster. Watch positive reply picks up the answers flagged as positive, and Update a Thread Label tags the conversation so your team knows which thread to open first. The same trigger can feed a CRM or a chat tool with a module from another app.

Keep your lists clean. Watch email bounce and Watch contact unsubscribed tell you which addresses should stop receiving anything. Send them to a spreadsheet or to the tool that holds your contacts, and nobody on the team has to check by hand. The Airtable Make integration is one place to store them.

Spot engagement before the reply. Watch email opened and Watch link clicked show which prospects read your message or visited your link, so a rep can follow up while the topic is still fresh.

What Make does not do here: the Make documentation does not state the trigger type, but the names and the absence of a webhook step point to 9 scheduled triggers: Make checks Salesforge on the scenario's schedule instead of hearing about events the moment they happen. There is only one action, and no Make an API Call module to reach the rest of the Salesforge API. The Make documentation for this app is also flagged as AI-generated, so check anything critical against Salesforge itself.

Connect

How do you connect Salesforge to Make?

  1. 01

Copy your API key in Salesforge

You need an active Salesforge account. Open the Settings page, go to the API or API Access section, and copy the API key shown on screen. Keep it at hand for the next step.

  2. 02

Add a Salesforge module and create the connection

In your Make scenario, add any Salesforge module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Salesforge account linked to Make once, then reused by every Salesforge module. The Connection name field is optional.

  3. 03

    Paste the key and save

Paste the API key you copied, or follow the instructions Make shows on screen, then confirm. Once the connection works, Make can list what it reads from your account when you fill the module fields.

First scenario

Your first scenario: tag every positive reply

GoalWhen a prospect answers positively in Salesforge, Make updates the label of that thread so it stands out for your team.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + in the middle of the canvas to add the first module.

  2. 02

    Pick Watch positive reply

Search for Salesforge, choose Watch positive reply and select your connection, or click Create a connection if this is your first Salesforge module.

  3. 03

    Add Update a Thread Label

Click the + on the right of the trigger and add Update a Thread Label. Map the thread from the trigger's output and choose the label from what Make lists.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once. Make runs the scenario one time and shows each bundle, the item passed from one module to the next, here one reply. Check that the right thread got its label.

  5. 05

Set the schedule and switch it on

Open the clock on the first module: a new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default, and 15 minutes is also the shortest interval on the Free plan. Then switch the scenario on.

Triggers

The 9 Salesforge triggers and when to pick each

9 modules start a scenario when something happens in Salesforge. A scheduled trigger is checked by Make on the scenario's schedule; an instant one is called by Salesforge as soon as it happens.

Salesforge1Watch contact unsubscribed

Watch contact unsubscribed

triggerIn the docs only

Hands you every contact who unsubscribed from your Salesforge emails, so the opt-out can travel to the other tools that still hold that person.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks the app on the scenario's schedule. On the Free plan the shortest gap between two checks is 15 minutes.
When to use it
your contacts also live in a CRM or a newsletter tool, and an unsubscribe in Salesforge has to be respected everywhere.
Watch out
the scenario only syncs the opt-out if the next module actually updates the other tool, so test it with Run once on a real unsubscribe.
Salesforge2Watch email bounce

Watch email bounce

triggerIn the docs only

Brings each bounced email back into Make, which gives you a clean list of addresses that did not receive your message.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks the app on the scenario's schedule rather than being alerted by Salesforge.
When to use it
you want bad addresses flagged in your sheet or CRM as soon as the next check runs, instead of finding them during a manual review.
Watch out
each bounce that reaches the scenario costs at least one operation, the unit Make counts on your plan, for every module it passes through.
Salesforge3Watch email opened

Watch email opened

triggerIn the docs only

Tells your scenario when a prospect opened one of your Salesforge emails, which is often the first sign of interest you get.

How it fires
scheduled, Make looks for new opens each time the scenario runs on its schedule.
When to use it
a rep wants a nudge in a chat tool or a task in the CRM when a key account opens the message.
Watch out
opens can add up quickly on a large campaign, and every one becomes a bundle that uses operations. Add a filter in Make so only the accounts you care about go further.
Salesforge4Watch email replied

Watch email replied

triggerIn the docs only

Collects every reply to your Salesforge emails, whatever its tone, so no answer sits unnoticed in an inbox.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks Salesforge for new replies on the scenario's schedule.
When to use it
you want all replies logged in one place, for instance a sheet the whole sales team reads, before anyone sorts them.
Watch out
if you only care about interested prospects, Watch positive reply is the narrower choice. Using both in the same flow would bring the same answer in twice.
Salesforge5Watch email sent

Watch email sent

triggerIn the docs only

Gives you a trace of each email Salesforge sends, useful when another tool has to know that a prospect has been contacted.

How it fires
scheduled, Make picks up the new sends each time the scenario runs.
When to use it
you keep an activity history in your CRM and want each outreach email to appear on the contact's record.
Watch out
this is the trigger with the most traffic on an active campaign, so each send becomes a bundle and uses operations. Check your plan before turning it on across every campaign.
Salesforge6Watch label changed

Watch label changed

triggerIn the docs only

Reacts when the label of a thread changes in Salesforge, which turns your own sorting into a signal other tools can follow.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks for label changes on the scenario's schedule.
When to use it
your reps tag threads by stage, and a new stage should update the deal in the CRM or alert a manager.
Watch out
Update a Thread Label also changes labels. If a scenario starting from this trigger updates a label too, it can pick up its own change on the next run, so keep those two in separate scenarios.
Salesforge8Watch negative reply

Watch negative reply

triggerIn the docs only

Isolates the replies flagged as negative, so a clear no can close the loop in your other tools instead of lingering as an open lead.

How it fires
scheduled, Make looks for new negative replies each time the scenario runs.
When to use it
a prospect declines and you want the deal marked as lost, or the contact moved out of your active pipeline.
Watch out
the positive or negative flag comes from Salesforge, not from Make, so run a few tests with Run once and read what arrives before you let it close deals.
Salesforge9Watch positive reply

Watch positive reply

triggerIn the docs only

Brings you the replies Salesforge flags as positive, which are usually the conversations worth answering first.

How it fires
scheduled, Make checks the app on the scenario's schedule, so a reply shows up at the next check rather than the second it lands.
When to use it
you want interested prospects handed to a rep, posted in a team channel or tagged with Update a Thread Label.
Watch out
on the Free plan the shortest interval is 15 minutes. A paid plan lowers it to 1 minute if speed matters for hot leads.
Modules

The Salesforge action

Salesforge gives you 1 module. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Salesforge1

Update a Thread Label

ActionIn the docs only

Changes the label of a Salesforge thread from Make, so the sorting your team relies on happens without anyone opening the inbox.

When to use it
right after a trigger such as Watch positive reply, to mark the conversation as hot or move it to the next stage.
Watch out
the module needs to know which thread to update, so map it from the trigger rather than typing it by hand.

FAQ

Salesforge and Make: frequent questions

01Is the Salesforge Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Salesforge is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run and files up to 5 MB. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Usage is counted in operations each month. You still need an active Salesforge account, which follows Salesforge's own pricing.
02What do you need to connect Salesforge to Make?
An active Salesforge account and its API key. In Salesforge, open the Settings page, go to the API or API Access section and copy the key. In Make, add a Salesforge module, click Create a connection, give it a name if you like and paste the key. The connection is then reused by all 10 Salesforge modules, so you only do this once per account. If the key is refused, copy it again from the API section before anything else.
03Do the Salesforge triggers in Make fire instantly?
Most likely not. The Make documentation does not label their type, but everything points to 9 scheduled triggers: Make checks Salesforge on the scenario's schedule and picks up whatever happened since the last check. A new scenario checks every 15 minutes by default, which is also the shortest interval on the Free plan. Paid plans go down to 1 minute. If a module ever shows the lightning badge in the editor, Make will ask you to click Create a webhook first. Plan for that gap when you design follow-ups.
04What if a Salesforge module you need is missing in Make?
It depends on what you need. Make offers 9 triggers and a single action, Update a Thread Label, and this app has no Make an API Call module to reach the rest of the Salesforge API. If your case goes beyond reading events and changing labels, send the data to another app that has the module you need, or ask our team to look at the setup. Also note that the Make documentation for Salesforge is flagged as AI-generated, so confirm key details with Salesforge.
05Should you use Make or n8n for Salesforge?
It depends on your criteria. On Make, Salesforge comes with 10 modules focused on campaign events, a connection by API key and a Free plan to start. Check whether those modules cover your case before comparing anything else. The same app may also exist as an n8n node, so look at what each tool offers for Salesforge today, and at how comfortable your team feels in each editor. The comparison page linked above goes through the criteria without picking a winner for you.
