What you can automate

What can the Shufflrr Make integration do for you?

The Shufflrr Make integration links your Shufflrr library to Make, a no-code tool where you build a scenario: the automation you set up, a chain of modules that runs on a schedule or when another app calls it. Each module is one brick, here an action or a search on your Shufflrr folders and files.

A clean library without manual filing. When a deck is finished in another tool, Upload a File drops it into the right Shufflrr folder, and Move a File into a Folder puts it where the sales team expects it.

A folder per new account. A deal closes in your CRM, Create a Folder opens the space for that client, and Update a Folder renames it if the account name changes later.

An inventory you can share. List Root Folders and Get a Folders Tree return the structure of your library, which you can pass to a spreadsheet or a report module of another app.

Know the limits before you start: Make itself marks the Shufflrr documentation as limited, because too little public information exists about the app. Module names are all you get, with no field reference and no troubleshooting list. And Shufflrr has no trigger, so a scenario starts from a schedule or from another app. If you are still weighing tools, the n8n vs Make comparison and the Make pricing page help you choose, and the Make training takes you further.

Connect

How do you connect Shufflrr to Make?

  1. 01

    Add a Shufflrr module

In your scenario, add any Shufflrr module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Shufflrr account linked to Make once, then reused by every Shufflrr module you add later.

  2. 02

    Name the connection

Give the connection a clear name if you like, such as the workspace it points to. This step is optional, but it saves guesswork the day you manage more than one Shufflrr account in Make.

  3. 03

    Authorize and save

Approve access on the Shufflrr page that opens, or paste the key Shufflrr gives you, depending on what the window asks for. Then click Save and Make shows the connection as ready to use.

First scenario

Your first scenario with Shufflrr

GoalWhen a new file shows up in another app, Make uploads it to Shufflrr so your team finds it in the shared library.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario, then click the big + in the editor. This is where the first module goes.

  2. 02

Pick where the file comes from

Shufflrr has no trigger, so start with the app that holds the file, for example a storage or email tool. Search it by name, choose its module and click Create a connection.

  3. 03

    Add Upload a File

Click the + on the right of that module, search Shufflrr and choose Upload a File. Once connected, Make lists the folders it can read. Map the file from the first module.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once. Make runs the scenario one time and shows the bundles each module received: a bundle is one item, here one file. Check that it landed in Shufflrr.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Open the clock on the first module. A new scenario runs every 15 minutes by default, the shortest interval on the Free plan. Then switch the scenario on.

Modules

What each Shufflrr module does

Shufflrr gives you 15 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Shufflrr1

Create a Folder

ActionIn the docs only

Adds a new folder to your Shufflrr library from a scenario. Each project or client then gets its own space as soon as it exists in another tool, and nobody has to click through the app to set it up.

When to use it
right after a deal is marked won in your CRM, to open the folder for that account's decks.
Watch out
the documentation says nothing about duplicate names, so check with Get a Folder or List Root Folders before creating.
Shufflrr2

Delete a File

ActionIn the docs only

Removes one file from Shufflrr for you, which keeps retired or outdated material out of your team's hands without a manual cleanup session.

When to use it
when a product is discontinued in your catalog tool and its sales sheet should disappear from the library.
Watch out
treat it as permanent. Make does not document a restore, so run the scenario with Run once on a test file first.
Shufflrr3

Delete a Folder

ActionIn the docs only

Clears a whole folder out of your library in one step, useful when a campaign or a client space has served its purpose and should no longer show up for the team.

When to use it
when a project is closed in your project tool and its Shufflrr space is no longer needed.
Watch out
the documentation does not say what happens to the files inside, so empty or check the folder first with List Folder Contents.
Shufflrr4

Download a File

ActionIn the docs only

Brings a Shufflrr file into your scenario as data, so the next module can attach it to an email, send it to a storage app or pass it to another tool.

When to use it
when a prospect asks for a brochure through a form and you want the approved version sent automatically.
Watch out
on the Free plan, Make handles files up to 5 MB, so large presentations may need a paid plan.
Shufflrr5

Get a File

ActionIn the docs only

Fetches the details Shufflrr holds on one file you already identified, so later modules can reuse them in a message, a log or a decision in your flow.

When to use it
after List Files, when you want the full record of the one file you care about before acting on it.
Watch out
Make does not document which details come back; run it once and read the bundle to see what you can map.
Shufflrr6

Get a Folder

ActionIn the docs only

Returns the information on a single Shufflrr folder, which lets your scenario confirm the folder is there and reuse its details before uploading or moving anything into it.

When to use it
before Upload a File, to check that the destination for a client's material really exists.
Watch out
you need to point it at a folder first, so pair it with List Root Folders when the folder is not fixed.
Shufflrr7

Get a Folders Tree

ActionIn the docs only

Hands you the folder structure of your library in one pass, a quick way to see how content is organized without opening Shufflrr and expanding every branch.

When to use it
when you want to write that structure into a spreadsheet for an audit of the library.
Watch out
the output format is not documented, so test with Run once and look at the bundle before mapping it downstream.
Shufflrr8

List Files

SearchIn the docs only

Searches your Shufflrr files and passes each match on as its own bundle, so the modules after it can process every file one by one.

When to use it
when you need to find the decks to review, move or send in a later step.
Watch out
a search can return zero, one or many bundles, and each module after it runs once per bundle, which counts as an operation on your plan.
Shufflrr9

List Folder Contents

SearchIn the docs only

Shows what sits inside one folder, returned item by item, so your scenario can act on everything a client or campaign folder holds.

When to use it
before archiving a project, to move or download every file it contains.
Watch out
an empty folder returns no bundle, so the modules after it simply do not run; that is normal, not an error.
Shufflrr10

List Root Folders

SearchIn the docs only

Returns the top-level folders of your Shufflrr library, which gives your scenario a starting point when it needs to pick a destination or walk the library from the top.

When to use it
when a scenario must find the right department folder before creating a subfolder with Create a Folder.
Watch out
it only covers the first level; for the full hierarchy, Get a Folders Tree is the better fit.
Shufflrr11

Make an API Call

ActionIn the docs only

Lets you reach any endpoint of the Shufflrr API from your scenario, reusing the same connection, which covers whatever the other Shufflrr modules leave out.

When to use it
when you need an operation on Shufflrr that no listed module offers.
Watch out
Make has no documentation of the Shufflrr API, so you rely on what Shufflrr publishes about its own endpoints.
Shufflrr12

Move a File into a Folder

ActionIn the docs only

Relocates a file to another folder so it ends up exactly where your team looks for it, without anyone dragging it across the library.

When to use it
when a deck gets approved in your review tool and should leave the drafts folder for the published one.
Watch out
you need both the file and the target folder; use List Files and Get a Folder earlier in the flow to supply them.
Shufflrr13

Update a File

ActionIn the docs only

Changes an existing Shufflrr file record from your scenario, so the library stays in line with what changed in another tool instead of drifting apart.

When to use it
when a product name changes in your catalog and the matching file needs to follow.
Watch out
Make does not document which properties you can change; open the module after connecting to see the fields it actually offers.
Shufflrr14

Update a Folder

ActionIn the docs only

Edits an existing folder, so its label keeps matching the client, product or campaign it holds, even when names change in the tools around Shufflrr.

When to use it
when an account is renamed in your CRM and its folder in Shufflrr should carry the new name.
Watch out
pick the folder by a stable reference from Get a Folder, not by name, since the name is what you are changing.
Shufflrr15

Upload a File

ActionIn the docs only

Puts a file produced elsewhere into your Shufflrr library, so finished material reaches the team's shared space as soon as the scenario runs.

When to use it
when a designer exports a final deck in a storage app and it should appear in Shufflrr for sales.
Watch out
the file must come from an earlier module, and on the Free plan Make handles files up to 5 MB.

FAQ

Shufflrr and Make: common questions

01Is the Shufflrr Make integration free?
Yes, Shufflrr is a standard app in Make, so its modules are available from the Free plan. The Free plan has its own limits: 2 active scenarios, at least 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution at most per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) bring the interval down to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Usage is counted in operations: one module running on one bundle.
02What do you need to connect Shufflrr to Make?
A Shufflrr account and a Make account are enough to start; the Make documentation lists no other prerequisite. You add a Shufflrr module, click Create a connection, optionally give it a name, then approve access on the Shufflrr page or paste the key Shufflrr provides, and save. The connection is created once and every Shufflrr module in your scenarios reuses it. As the documentation is limited, test it with Run once on one module.
03Can Shufflrr start a Make scenario in real time?
No, Shufflrr has no trigger module in Make, scheduled or instant, so it cannot start a scenario by itself. You have two ways to begin anyway. Put a trigger from another app first, such as a storage or CRM app, and add the Shufflrr modules after it. Or start on a Shufflrr search such as List Files and let the schedule run it: every 15 minutes by default, down to 1 minute on paid plans.
04What if the Shufflrr module you need is missing in Make?
Use Make an API Call. It reaches any endpoint of the Shufflrr API with the connection you already set up, so you can cover what the 15 listed modules leave out. Keep in mind that Make currently marks its Shufflrr documentation as limited, with no field reference and no troubleshooting notes, so the details of each endpoint come from Shufflrr's own documentation. If the app still does not fit, a scenario can pass the data to another app.
05Make or n8n for Shufflrr?
It depends on the tool you already run. On Make, Shufflrr comes with 15 modules covering folders, files and searches, plus Make an API Call for the rest, and it works from the Free plan. Many apps also have an n8n node, so check whether one exists for Shufflrr before choosing. Compare the two on what matters to you: which modules your flow needs and which platform your team already knows. Neither is ranked above the other here.
