What you can automate

What can the InforUMobile Make integration do for you?

The InforUMobile Make integration lets a Make scenario (the automation you build in Make, a chain of steps) act inside your InforUMobile account: send an SMS, a WhatsApp template, a voice call or a newsletter, and keep your contact groups tidy. You pick the step that starts it, Make does the rest.

A welcome text for every new sign-up. When someone fills in a form in another app, Add Contact to Group files them in the right InforUMobile group, then Send SMS greets them. No copy and paste between tools.

Clean opt-outs across tools. A customer asks your support desk to stop messages: Contact Unsubscribe records it in InforUMobile. If they change their mind, Reactivate Unsubscribe brings them back.

A campaign launched by an event. A new product goes live in your shop, and Send Newsletter Campaign, Send IVR Campaign or Start Automation takes it from there.

Two limits to know. InforUMobile has no trigger in Make, so a scenario always starts from another app or from a schedule. And Make's documentation for this app is marked as limited: it lists the modules by name without describing their fields, so the notes below stay close to those names and ask you to check the rest with Run once. If you are new to the editor, the Make training covers the basics. The same app often has an n8n node too; the n8n vs Make comparison helps you choose, and Make pricing explains how operations are counted.

Connect

How do you connect InforUMobile to Make?

  1. 01

    Add an InforUMobile module

In your scenario, click the +, search for InforUMobile and pick any of its modules, for example Send SMS. Then click Create a connection. A connection is your InforUMobile account linked to Make once and reused by every InforUMobile module.

  2. 02

    Name it and authorize

Give the connection a name if you like, useful when you run more than one account. Then either authorize Make on the InforUMobile page that opens, or paste the key InforUMobile gives you, depending on what the window asks for.

  3. 03

    Save and reuse

Click Save. From now on, every InforUMobile module in any scenario can pick this connection from the list, so you never repeat these steps for a second module.

First scenario

Build your first scenario with InforUMobile

GoalWhen a new contact arrives from another app, Make adds them to an InforUMobile group and sends them an SMS.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

Open the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. Pick the app where your new contacts appear first, such as your form tool, and its module.

  2. 02

    Add Add Contact to Group

Click the + on the right of the first module, search InforUMobile and choose Add Contact to Group. Select your connection, then fill the fields by mapping data from the form.

  3. 03

    Chain Send SMS

Add one more module: Send SMS. Map the phone number from the first step and write the text. Each contact is a bundle, one item passing from module to module.

  4. 04

    Test with Run once

Click Run once and submit a test entry with your own number. Open each module to read the bundles it received and check the SMS actually reached your phone.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default) and switch the scenario on. Each module run on one bundle is an operation, the unit Make counts on your plan.

Modules

What each InforUMobile module does in Make

InforUMobile gives you 13 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

InforUMobile1

Add Contact to Group

ActionIn the docs only

Puts a contact into one of your InforUMobile groups, so the people coming from your forms or your CRM land in the list you actually send to.

When to use it
right after a sign-up in another app, before any message goes out to that group.
Watch out
the documentation does not describe its fields, so run it once with a test contact and check the group in InforUMobile.
InforUMobile2

Contact Unsubscribe

ActionIn the docs only

Marks a contact as unsubscribed in InforUMobile, which keeps an opt-out given anywhere else, say to your support team, from being ignored by your next campaign.

When to use it
a customer replies "stop" by email or tells an agent they want no more messages.
Watch out
treat it as a real decision; the way back is the separate Reactivate Unsubscribe module.
InforUMobile3

Create and Send Newsletter

ActionIn the docs only

Builds a newsletter and sends it in the same step, so content written elsewhere reaches your subscribers without opening InforUMobile at all.

When to use it
the content lives in another tool, a new blog post or a product sheet, and you want it mailed once it is published.
Watch out
the send happens in the same run, so test with Run once on a small test group first.
InforUMobile4

New Lead From Chatbot

ActionIn the docs only

Records a lead coming from a chatbot conversation in InforUMobile, so a visitor who left a phone number in a chat can join your follow-up messages.

When to use it
your chatbot tool hands a new conversation to Make and you want that person in InforUMobile.
Watch out
despite its name, it is listed as an action, not a trigger, so it cannot start a scenario on its own.
InforUMobile5

New Lead from Landing Page

ActionIn the docs only

Registers a landing page lead in InforUMobile, which lets sign-ups collected on a page built with another tool feed your SMS or email lists.

When to use it
a landing page tool sends each new submission to Make and you want the lead in InforUMobile without an export.
Watch out
like its chatbot sibling, it acts on a lead; another app has to bring that lead into the scenario first.
InforUMobile6

Reactivate Unsubscribe

ActionIn the docs only

Brings an unsubscribed contact back to active in InforUMobile, so someone who opted back in can receive your messages again.

When to use it
a customer ticks the consent box again on a form or asks your team to be put back on the list.
Watch out
only run it on a fresh, explicit opt-in; feeding it a whole list by mistake would undo the choices people made.
InforUMobile7

Remove Contact from Group

ActionIn the docs only

Takes a contact out of one InforUMobile group while the contact stays in your account, handy when someone moves from prospect to customer.

When to use it
a deal closes in your CRM and the person should stop getting the prospect sequence.
Watch out
this is not an unsubscribe; the contact can still receive messages sent to other groups. Use Contact Unsubscribe for that.
InforUMobile8

Send IVR Campaign

ActionIn the docs only

Launches an IVR campaign, IVR meaning interactive voice response, the automated phone call, so a whole audience hears your message instead of reading it.

When to use it
a message works better spoken, such as a reminder for customers who rarely open texts.
Watch out
one wrong run can call a whole audience, so place it after a filter and test on your own number first.
InforUMobile9

Send IVR Message

ActionIn the docs only

Places a single automated voice message to one number, a spoken version of a one-to-one notification.

When to use it
one person needs a call, for example when an appointment is booked in another app and a voice confirmation suits them better.
Watch out
each bundle means one call; if the previous module returns several contacts, each of them gets called.
InforUMobile10

Send Newsletter Campaign

ActionIn the docs only

Sends a newsletter campaign from InforUMobile, which lets an event elsewhere decide when your mailing leaves.

When to use it
the campaign is ready in InforUMobile and you want a signal from another app, a product going live or a price drop, to send it.
Watch out
pick this one over Create and Send Newsletter when the content already exists; the other also builds it.
InforUMobile11

Send SMS

ActionIn the docs only

Sends a text message through your InforUMobile account, with content you map from the earlier steps: a first name, an order number, a date.

When to use it
an order ships, a booking is confirmed, a form comes in, and the person should hear about it on their phone.
Watch out
one bundle, one SMS; add a filter before it if the step above can return many contacts.
InforUMobile12

Send Whatsapp Template Message

ActionIn the docs only

Sends a WhatsApp message built on a template, so your customers get the update in WhatsApp, with wording you prepared in advance.

When to use it
a shop order changes status and you want the update in WhatsApp rather than a plain SMS.
Watch out
as the name says, it works from a template; have that template ready before you build the scenario, then check it with Run once.
InforUMobile13

Start Automation

ActionIn the docs only

Starts an automation you already set up inside InforUMobile, so Make can kick off a whole sequence instead of one message.

When to use it
the follow-up logic already lives in InforUMobile and only the starting signal comes from another app, such as a new customer in your CRM.
Watch out
keep the steps in one place; rebuilding the same sequence in Make as well leads to double messages.

FAQ

InforUMobile and Make: common questions

01Is the InforUMobile Make integration free?
Yes, on Make's side. InforUMobile is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, at least 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute, remove the cap on active scenarios and allow 40 minutes per run. Each module run counts as an operation on your monthly credits. Make never states a price for InforUMobile itself: check that with InforUMobile.
02What do you need to connect InforUMobile to Make?
An InforUMobile account and a Make account. Make's documentation gives no prerequisites and no specific connection steps for this app, so you follow the usual path: add an InforUMobile module, click Create a connection, name it if you like, then authorize Make on the InforUMobile page or paste the key InforUMobile provides, and click Save. The connection is then shared by all 13 modules. If the window asks for a key you cannot find, look in your InforUMobile account settings.
03Can an InforUMobile event start a Make scenario?
No, not directly. All 13 InforUMobile modules are actions, and none of them is a trigger, so InforUMobile cannot tell Make that something happened. A scenario starts elsewhere: with a trigger from another app, like a form, a shop or a CRM, or on a schedule set on the first module, every 15 minutes by default. The two lead modules, New Lead From Chatbot and New Lead from Landing Page, are actions as well; they need another app to bring the lead into the scenario first.
04What if an InforUMobile module is missing in Make?
It depends on what you need. The InforUMobile app has no Make an API Call module, so you cannot reach the rest of the InforUMobile API from Make with it. Make's documentation for the app is also marked as limited, with modules listed by name only. If a task falls outside the 13 modules, check whether another app in your scenario can cover that part, or ask the team behind this page to look at the case with you.
05Make or n8n for InforUMobile?
It depends on where the rest of your automations live. On Make, InforUMobile comes with 13 ready modules for SMS, WhatsApp templates, IVR calls, newsletters and contact groups, and the whole setup happens in the visual editor. The same app often has an n8n node too, so check that the actions you need exist there before you move. Make and n8n are not ranked here: the right pick is the tool where your other automations already run and where the modules you need exist.
