0CodeKit Zapier integrationAutomate 0CodeKit with Zapier.

The 0CodeKit Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 133 actions and 1 search. It is a toolbox: PDF work, image edits, data checks, AI text tools and code. It never starts a Zap itself, so another app always goes first.

Overview

What the 0CodeKit Zapier integration does in practice

Zapier links apps together without code. The 0CodeKit Zapier integration adds a box of utility steps to those links: it converts, checks, generates and reshapes what another app sends, then hands the result to the next step. It does all of that as actions, and it has no event of its own to start anything.

Three kinds of result cover the bulk of the catalogue.

Documents that build themselves. Create a PDF From HTML, Merge PDF Files and Watermark an Image Into PDF File turn data from your CRM or billing tool into a finished PDF, then Encrypt PDF locks it before it leaves.

Data you can trust before it spreads. Verify an Email and Correct It, Validate Phone Number and Verify IBAN catch bad entries at the door, so the sales team and the finance team are not the ones cleaning up later.

Text and images read for you. Too Long to Read shortens a long email, Detect Text in a Picture With OCR AI reads a photographed receipt, and Remove Background From Image cleans a product shot.

What Zapier does not do here: 0CodeKit has no trigger, so it never notices anything on its own. The Zap always starts in another tool (a form, a CRM, a mailbox) and 0CodeKit only works on what that tool passes along. Many steps also need a file at a public address, which the starting app has to provide.

The same toolbox exists on another platform: the 0CodeKit Make integration covers it on Make, and n8n vs Zapier sets the two tools side by side.

Vocabulary

The Zapier words in one minute

Seven words return on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run each time that event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. 0CodeKit offers none, so it comes from another app.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or converts something for you. Every 0CodeKit step except one is an action.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that finished successfully, and the allowance of your plan is a count of those.
Polling or instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the next steps can use what it found.
Cost

What a 0CodeKit Zap really costs

Zapier bills tasks, and only actions that go through are counted.

  • TriggerFree, never billed
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Premium appNo

The trigger of the starting app never costs a task, and neither does Zapier checking for new data. Each 0CodeKit action that succeeds counts once, and one that fails is not billed. 0CodeKit is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan: 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, and a polling check every 15 minutes. The catch is the size of a free Zap: one trigger and one action. Chain two 0CodeKit actions, or add a filter or a search, and you have a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.

Connect

Connect 0CodeKit to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your 0CodeKit account linked once, then reused by every step that calls it.

  2. 02

    Find 0CodeKit

Type 0CodeKit in the search box of the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. You need an existing 0CodeKit account at this point, since Zapier links an account rather than creating one.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Sign in to 0CodeKit in the tab that opens, then grant Zapier access to the account. From then on, any 0CodeKit step in any of your Zaps can use this connection.

First Zap

Your first Zap: keep personal inboxes out of the sales pipeline

GoalEach new form submission is checked, and only business email addresses go on.

  1. 01

    Build the Zap

Click Build to start a Zap. 0CodeKit has no trigger, so pick your form tool and its new submission event as the starting point.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent submissions of the connected account, so you can map the next step on a real one rather than a blank.

  3. 03

    Add the 0CodeKit action

Add an action, pick 0CodeKit and If Free Email, then map the email field from the form into the Email box. Test this step and read what comes back.

  4. 04

    Add the filter

Add a Filter step and set it so only addresses from company domains pass. The filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. From now on, every new submission is checked by 0CodeKit before anything else happens to it in your sales pipeline.

Actions

The 133 0CodeKit actions

0CodeKit gives you 133 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Advanced Switch

Action

In Zapier“Switch a key against a JSON”

Matches a key against a JSON mapping you write once and returns the value attached to that key, like a lookup table.

When to use it
status codes from one tool need translating into the labels another tool expects, for example open into active.
Watch out
External, Key and JSON are all required, and you can insert several keys.
2

AI Advanced OCR

Action

In Zapier“Extracts text and specific data from documents with OCR support, streamlining specialized workflows.”

Reads documents with OCR and can also pull out specific data through a chosen processing workflow, not just raw text.

When to use it
an expense team wants totals and dates read straight from photographed receipts rather than retyped.
Watch out
with the OCR or OCR With Handwriting workflows, only the OCR result type works.
3

Execute Asynchronous Python Code

Action

In Zapier“Execute Python code asynchronously. Action will be executed almost immediately but code will remain executing in the background to be sent to the specified webhook once it is finished.”

Starts Python code in the background: the step itself finishes almost at once, and the result is sent to an address you specify when the code is done.

When to use it
a long script, such as processing a big file, would otherwise hold up the Zap.
Watch out
the result does not come back to this Zap, it goes to the address you set.
4

Read Barcode

Action

In Zapier“Reads a QR Code”

Reads a barcode from the link of its image and returns the value it holds. The official description says it reads a QR Code, but the step asks for a barcode type.

When to use it
a stock count app photographs product codes and needs the numbers as text.
Watch out
Barcode type is required, so you need to know which kind of barcode you scan.
5

Create Barcode

Action

In Zapier“Creates a custom barcode”

Builds a barcode from your data, in the image format you choose, with the value printed underneath if you tick Display Value.

When to use it
a small retailer prints shelf labels for products that arrive without a barcode.
Watch out
Data and Barcode Image Format are both required.
6

Generate Bar Chart

Action

In Zapier“Build customized bar-charts with your data”

Builds a bar chart from your values and labels, ready to drop into a report or a message.

When to use it
a sales lead wants the deals per rep drawn as a chart in the weekly team digest.
Watch out
Labels need exactly the same length as the Data list, and Get As Url returns a temporary link only.
7

Convert PDF to Base 64

Action

In Zapier“Takes a PDF file as a buffer or URL and returns a buffer with base64”

Takes a PDF, as a link or as file data, and returns it encoded as text: a version of the file that fits in a text field.

When to use it
an older internal system only accepts documents pasted as encoded text inside a form field.
Watch out
it only goes one way: it encodes the PDF into text, it does not rebuild a PDF from text.
8

Blur Image

Action

In Zapier“Blur Image with Sigma value”

Softens an image with a sigma value: the higher it is, the blurrier the picture.

When to use it
a course platform shows a blurred preview of each worksheet until the learner has paid.
Watch out
the step blurs the whole picture, so it does not target one area on its own.
9

BMI Calculator

Action

In Zapier“Check if you are”

Calculates a body mass index from a height in centimetres and a weight in kilograms, then returns the result.

When to use it
a coaching business logs the index of each new client right after the intake form so the coach sees it first.
Watch out
both Height and Weight are required, and the units are fixed: centimetres and kilograms only.
10

Validate Phone Number

Action

In Zapier“Validate the given phone number.”

Checks that a phone number holds up, whether it was typed with an international prefix or without one.

When to use it
a delivery service wants bad numbers caught at checkout rather than when the driver is already at the door.
Watch out
the field accepts formats such as (+81) 090-1234-5678 or 090-1234-5678, so clean extra text out of it first.
11

Calculate the Distance Between Adresses

Action

In Zapier“Calculates the geodistance between two addresses or geopoints.”

Calculates the distance between two addresses, or between two geographic points, and hands back the result.

When to use it
a moving company prices each quote on the distance between the old home and the new one.
Watch out
Starting Point and End Point are both required, so the form has to collect both places.
12

Check Content Policy

Action

In Zapier“Checking Content Policy of a Text”

Screens a piece of text against a content policy and reports whether it raises a flag, so the Zap can hold back what should not go live.

When to use it
comments posted on a community forum get screened before they appear on the public thread.
Watch out
Text is the only required field, so send the comment as written, without your own notes around it.
13

Check User Execution Status

Action

In Zapier“Check How Many Executions Left in Users Account.”

Checks how many executions are left on the 0CodeKit account, with no field to fill in.

When to use it
an operations lead wants a warning before the account runs dry and Zaps start failing.
Watch out
the step reports what is left, so pair it with a filter if you want an alert only when it is low.
14

Check Async Python Code Task Status

Action

In Zapier“This endpoint can be used to check the status of scheduled code executions created by using the Asynchronous Python Code endpoint.”

Reports the status of a background Python run launched with Execute Asynchronous Python Code.

When to use it
a later Zap needs to know whether a long script has finished before it moves on.
Watch out
the Task ID returned by the background run is required, so store it when the run starts.
15

Compare Strings

Action

In Zapier“Compare Strings”

Puts two strings side by side and returns how they relate, which gives a filter something clear to test.

When to use it
a CRM import checks whether the email typed in a form matches the one already on file before it overwrites anything.
Watch out
First String and Second String are both required.
16

Compress PDF

Action

In Zapier“Compress PDF by URL”

Shrinks a PDF, reached through its link, so it weighs less. You choose whether the lighter version comes back as a link or as file content.

When to use it
a heavy brochure must go out as an email attachment and the mail tool refuses large files.
Watch out
Get As URL is required here, so set it on purpose.
17

Contains String

Action

In Zapier“Contains String”

Looks inside a text for a keyword and reports whether it is there, so the next steps can act on it.

When to use it
support emails that mention a refund should be flagged for the billing team before anyone else opens them.
Watch out
Text and Keyword are both required.
18

Convert Currencies

Action

In Zapier“Converts a currency into another.”

Converts an amount from one currency into another and returns the converted figure to the following steps.

When to use it
a reseller buys stock abroad and wants every purchase logged in its home currency in the bookkeeping sheet.
Watch out
Amount, Source Currency and Target Currency are all required, so a missing currency code stops the step.
19

Convert Docx to PDF

Action

In Zapier“Convert Docx file to PDF”

Takes a Word document and hands back the same content as a PDF. Tick Get As URL and you receive a link instead of the raw file data.

When to use it
an operations manager drafts contracts in Word, but clients must only ever receive a PDF they cannot edit.
Watch out
the Buffer field wants the file content itself, so the earlier step has to pass the file, not just its name.
20

Convert Image

Action

In Zapier“Convert Image Type”

Changes an image from one file format to another, the one you pick under Output Format.

When to use it
an online catalogue only takes one format while suppliers send photos in whatever their camera produced.
Watch out
Return As URL is optional here, so decide whether the next step expects a link or a file.
21

Convert PDF to Image

Action

In Zapier“Convert PDF to Image”

Turns the pages of a PDF into image files. Pictures are easier to preview in chat tools or to post on a website than a full document.

When to use it
a marketing team wants a thumbnail of the first page of every white paper it publishes.
Watch out
no field shows as required, so test it once on a real file before you rely on it.
22

Create a Global Variable

Action

In Zapier“Create and store a global variable online”

Creates and stores a global variable online: a named value saved in 0CodeKit that other Zaps can read.

When to use it
several Zaps need one shared value, such as the version of the current price list, without each holding its own copy.
Watch out
Variable Name and Value are both required.
23

Create JSON Bin

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new bin for storing JSON data”

Creates a new bin inside 0CodeKit, a small storage box for JSON data that later steps or other Zaps can read back.

When to use it
a Zap keeps settings such as the current discount rate in one place, so several Zaps read the same value.
Watch out
Input Field Type is required, so decide up front how the data will be typed in.
24

Create PDF

Action

In Zapier“Create an empty PDF File.”

Starts a blank PDF file inside the Zap, with nothing on its pages yet. Later 0CodeKit steps can then draw text, place an image or add pages onto it.

When to use it
a packing slip or a certificate has to be built from scratch, piece by piece, by the steps that follow.
Watch out
on its own the result is an empty document, so plan the drawing steps before you publish.
25

Create a QR Code

Action

In Zapier“Generate a QR Code from data that you provide”

Generates a QR code from the data you feed it, such as a link or a reference number.

When to use it
every event ticket needs a unique QR code that staff scan at the door.
Watch out
Data is the only required field, so whatever it contains is exactly what the code will hold.
26

Create a Shortened URL

Action

In Zapier“Shorten your URL using 1SaaS”

Shortens a long link into a compact one, so it fits where space is tight.

When to use it
an SMS campaign needs short links that do not eat half of the message.
Watch out
the Destination URL is required, and it is the long address the short link will send people to.
27

Decrypt a Ciphertext

Action

In Zapier“Decrypts a ciphertext with a selected method.”

Decrypts a ciphertext back into readable text, using the same method and secret key that locked it.

When to use it
a value encrypted by an earlier Zap must be read again before it goes into a contract.
Watch out
Cipher text, Secret Key and Crypto Type are required, and they must match the ones used to encrypt.
28

Encrypt a Message

Action

In Zapier“Encrypts a message with a selected method.”

Encrypts a message with the method you select and a secret key, so only someone holding that key can read it.

When to use it
a sensitive note has to travel through other tools without being readable on the way.
Watch out
Message to encrypt, Secret Key and Crypto Type are all required, and losing the key means losing the message.
29

Convert CSV Into Array

Action

In Zapier“Convert CSV into Array Format”

Turns CSV text into an array, a plain list of rows that later steps can go through one by one.

When to use it
a supplier stock file arrives as CSV and only some of its rows matter for the next update.
Watch out
Skip First Row, Delimiter and CSV are all required, so state clearly whether the first row holds headers.
30

Convert CSV Into JSON

Action

In Zapier“Convert CSV into JSON Format”

Converts CSV text into JSON, a structured format that other steps read easily.

When to use it
an export from an old tool arrives as CSV and the next app wants structured records.
Watch out
No Header, Output, Delimiter and CSV are all required.
31

Delete a Global Variable

Action

In Zapier“Delete a global variable online”

Deletes a stored global variable, picked by its ID rather than its name.

When to use it
an old value has no further use and should not confuse the Zaps built later on the same account.
Watch out
it asks for the Variable ID, so list the variables first if you only know the name.
32

Delete JSON Bin

Action

In Zapier“Deletes a JSON Bin”

Removes a JSON bin, identified by its ID, from 0CodeKit storage once it no longer serves.

When to use it
temporary data gathered for a finished campaign should not linger next to the bins still in use.
Watch out
the Bin ID is the only required field, so make sure the Zap passes the right one.
33

Delete a Shortened URL

Action

In Zapier“Delete a shortened URL”

Deletes a short link you created, so it stops leading anywhere.

When to use it
the link of an expired promotion should stop working once the offer is over.
Watch out
the Shortened URL Identifier is required, so keep the identifier returned when the link was created.
34

Get Time Period Details

Action

In Zapier“Set up a period of time between two dates, and get some details, for example the amount of weekdays comprehended per each month of the period.”

Gives details about a time period between a start date and a number of days, such as weekdays per month.

When to use it
a staffing agency calculates working days across a contract.
Watch out
Start date and Duration in days are both required.
35

Detect Adult Content With AI

Action

In Zapier“Detecting Adult Content with AI”

Checks an image with AI and flags adult content before it goes anywhere public.

When to use it
a community site lets members upload profile pictures and wants a check before they appear.
Watch out
the image URL must be public, otherwise the AI cannot look at it.
36

Detect Brand With AI

Action

In Zapier“Detecting Brand with AI”

Spots brands shown in a picture with AI and returns what it recognised.

When to use it
a sponsorship team counts how often partner logos show up in event photos.
Watch out
a public image link is required, as on every vision action of this app.
37

Detect Color With AI

Action

In Zapier“Detecting Color from Image with AI”

Reads the colours of an image with AI, useful when products are sorted or tagged by colour.

When to use it
a fashion reseller tags each listing with its main colour so buyers can filter.
Watch out
the image has to sit at a public address.
38

Detect Faces With AI

Action

In Zapier“Detecting Faces with AI from Image”

Finds the faces in a picture with AI and tells you what it detected.

When to use it
an ID photo check rejects uploads that show no face or several people.
Watch out
the image link must be public for the AI to reach it.
39

Generate Doughnut Chart

Action

In Zapier“Build customized doughnut-charts from your data”

Turns your values into a doughnut chart, a ring split into shares of a whole.

When to use it
a finance team shows how monthly spend splits between departments in one image.
Watch out
Labels and Data need the same length, and the link from Get As Url is temporary.
40

Download File

Action

In Zapier“Download a file”

Downloads a stored file from its ID, so the file content can travel to the next step.

When to use it
a contract kept in storage must be attached to an email a later step sends to the client.
Watch out
the File ID is required, so keep the ID returned when the file was uploaded.
41

Draw PDF Text

Action

In Zapier“Insert text into a PDF.”

Writes text onto an existing PDF. The field for the file link is labelled Pfd Url in the editor, typo included.

When to use it
each certificate of a training course needs the attendee name stamped on a template designed once.
Watch out
two different actions carry this same name in the list; this one inserts text, the other lays a watermark.
42

Draw PDF Image

Action

In Zapier“Insert an image into a PDF.”

Places an image inside a PDF file, for example a stamp, a signature scan or a logo. The image is fetched from its own link.

When to use it
approved purchase orders should carry the scanned signature of the manager before they leave the building.
Watch out
Image Url is the image to draw, not the PDF, so map the two links carefully.
43

Edit PDF Info Metadata

Action

In Zapier“Edit Medadata of Pdf File”

Rewrites the info metadata of a PDF, the hidden properties such as title or author that file browsers display.

When to use it
every report leaving a consultancy should carry the firm as author rather than the name of whoever exported it.
Watch out
the only required field is the Url of the PDF to edit, so decide in advance which properties you overwrite.
44

Detect Email Sender

Action

In Zapier“Detect Sender of the Email”

Works out who really sent an email by reading its subject and its body, which helps when a message reaches you through someone else.

When to use it
forwarded emails hide the original sender, yet the sales team still wants the lead logged under the right person.
Watch out
both Email Subject and Email Body are required, so a step that only passes the subject will not run.
45

Get Text Entities With NLP AI

Action

In Zapier“Detects entities in a text with natural language processing AI.”

Finds the entities in a text, such as people, places or organisations, with natural language processing AI.

When to use it
a press monitoring flow tags each article with the companies it mentions.
Watch out
only the Text to analyse field is required.
46

Expand Shortened URL

Action

In Zapier“Get the full URL from a shortened one”

Reveals the full address hidden behind a shortened link, so the next steps work with the real destination.

When to use it
a brand team reviews links shared by partners on social media and wants to see where each one really points.
Watch out
Short URL is required, and it must be the shortened link itself, not the page it leads to.
47

Extract Contact Information From Text

Action

In Zapier“Use this action to extract contact details from a given text. For example: addresses, names and phone numbers”

Spots contact details in a block of text, such as addresses, names and phone numbers.

When to use it
email signatures should become clean contact records without copying them line by line.
Watch out
Text is the only required field, so pass the raw message as it is.
48

AI Extract Customizable Information From Text

Action

In Zapier“Use this action to flexibly extract precise information from text according to your needs.”

Pulls precise pieces of information out of a text with AI, following the fields and descriptions you define yourself.

When to use it
a recruiter wants salary, start date and location lifted from free-form applications.
Watch out
Field Name and Description lists must hold the same number of items.
49

Extract Thumbnail From Url

Action

In Zapier“Extract Thumbnail from Url”

Pulls the thumbnail image out of a link, ready to reuse in a card or a post.

When to use it
a curation newsletter shows a preview picture next to every link it shares.
Watch out
the Url field is the only input, so the page behind it has to expose a thumbnail.
50

Embed Factur-X/Zugferd XML Into a PDF File

Action

In Zapier“Embedded existing XML Invoice into a PDF File.”

Embeds an existing Factur-X or Zugferd XML invoice into a PDF, so a single file carries both the readable invoice and its structured data.

When to use it
a German or French customer asks for e-invoices that their accounting software can read without retyping.
Watch out
the XML field takes the XML content itself, and the Url must point to the PDF it goes into.
51

Validate a Factur-X/Zugferd PDF File

Action

In Zapier“Validated Factur-X/Zugferd XML invoice according to the specification (level EN16931).”

Checks a Factur-X or Zugferd PDF against the specification and reports whether the embedded invoice holds up.

When to use it
invoices from a new billing tool should be tested before the first batch reaches a client.
Watch out
the step only needs the Url of the PDF, so run it as the last check after any embedding step.
52

Flip Image

Action

In Zapier“Flipping Image by Axis”

Mirrors an image along the X or the Y axis, so left becomes right or top becomes bottom.

When to use it
a selfie camera saves reversed text on badges and signs, and the image needs straightening before printing.
Watch out
only the X and Y axis values are accepted in the Axis field.
53

AI Fuzzy Text Matcher

Action

In Zapier“Find the best match for your text from a list of options using AI. Even if the wording is different, the AI will understand and return the closest match.”

Finds the closest match for a text in a list of options with AI, even when the wording differs.

When to use it
company names typed by hand in a form need matching to the official list in your billing tool.
Watch out
the Field Name field is where the list of candidates goes, despite its label.
54

Gender Detection

Action

In Zapier“Get the gender of a first name”

Guesses the gender most often associated with a first name.

When to use it
a mailing team wants to adapt greetings in a language where they change with gender.
Watch out
a first name alone is a guess, not a fact, so keep a neutral fallback.
55

Generate Color

Action

In Zapier“Generate Random Color”

Produces a random colour with no input, which gives each new item its own visual tag.

When to use it
each new project created in a planning tool gets its own colour so the board stays readable.
Watch out
there is nothing to fill in, so two items can still land on similar colours.
56

Generate Image

Action

In Zapier“Generating Image using AI”

Creates images from a written prompt with AI, between 1 and 10 per run, in one of three fixed square sizes.

When to use it
a blog team wants a draft illustration for every new article title.
Watch out
the Size field only takes the three sizes it lists, nothing custom.
57

Generate Javascript Code

Action

In Zapier“Generating Javascript Code using AI”

Produces JavaScript code with AI, starting from a plain description of the task.

When to use it
a marketer wants a small snippet drafted for a landing page and a developer checks it afterwards.
Watch out
Prompt is the only required field, and the code it returns is a draft, not a tested script.
58

Generate Python Code

Action

In Zapier“Generating Python Code using AI”

Writes Python code with AI from a prompt that describes what the code should do.

When to use it
a data analyst wants a first draft of a cleaning script to review before running it.
Watch out
Prompt is required, and generated code should be read by a person before it runs anywhere.
59

Get Calender Week

Action

In Zapier“Get info about a calendar week”

Returns details about a calendar week, such as which week of the year a date belongs to.

When to use it
a production team names its planning files by week number so everyone finds the current one quickly.
Watch out
the step shows no required field, so check the output on a test run before you build on it.
60

Get Exif Data From Image URL

Action

In Zapier“Get Exif Data from Image URL”

Reads the Exif data of an image from its link: the hidden details a camera writes into each photo.

When to use it
an insurance claims desk wants to know when and with what device a damage photo was taken.
Watch out
URL is the only required field, so the image has to sit at a reachable address.
61

Get a Global Variable

Action

In Zapier“Read a global variable online”

Reads back the value of a global variable stored online, found by its name.

When to use it
a Zap needs a value that another Zap saved earlier, for instance the reference of the active promotion.
Watch out
Variable Name is required and must match the stored name.
62

Extract Single or Multiple HTML Elements

Action

In Zapier“This action can be used to extract one or more HTML elements from a website's URL or HTML string.”

Extracts one or several HTML elements from a web address or an HTML string. Set Multiple results? to true for every match.

When to use it
a market watcher pulls product prices from a supplier page that offers no export.
Watch out
by default only the first matching element comes back.
63

Get Logo of a Website

Action

In Zapier“Get Logo of a Website”

Finds the logo of a website from its address and returns it.

When to use it
a CRM shows company logos on every new account card, and nobody wants to hunt them by hand.
Watch out
the URL field is required, so the step needs the address of the website.
64

Get Current Month

Action

In Zapier“Get current month”

Returns the current month without asking for any input, which saves a formatting step when a name needs a date.

When to use it
monthly invoices or reports have to carry the month in their file name so they sort properly in a shared folder.
Watch out
there is nothing to fill in, so the answer depends only on the moment the Zap runs.
65

Get PDF Info Metadata

Action

In Zapier“Get Information of Metadata in PDF”

Reads the info metadata stored inside a PDF and returns it to the Zap, so later steps can sort or label the file.

When to use it
an archive process files incoming documents by their declared title instead of the random name of the attachment.
Watch out
the PDF field accepts either a public link or the file content as a buffer string.
66

Hash

Action

In Zapier“Hash some text.”

Hashes a piece of text with a secret key and the hash type you choose, producing a fingerprint of that text.

When to use it
a team needs to compare customer emails across tools without passing the emails themselves around.
Watch out
Message, Secret Key and Hash Type are all required, and the same inputs always give the same fingerprint.
67

Holidays Checker

Action

In Zapier“Check if the day is a public holiday.”

Finds out whether a day is a public holiday in a given country, using the year and an ISO 3166-2 country code.

When to use it
a delivery business avoids promising dispatch on a bank holiday.
Watch out
both Year and Country Code are required, for example 2040 and US.
68

Get Image From HTML

Action

In Zapier“This action can be used to get a picture from an html. Either as code or from a URL.”

Captures a picture from HTML, either code you supply or a live web page. Options cover the full page, dark mode and disabling animations.

When to use it
a growth team keeps a weekly screenshot record of a competitor pricing page.
Watch out
Get As Url is the only required field, but the dark mode only applies when the site offers one.
69

Create a PDF From HTML

Action

In Zapier“Convert HTML to a PDF file”

Turns a block of HTML code into a finished PDF. Optional switches set the page in landscape and print the background images of the markup.

When to use it
your CRM hands over a deal and you want a branded quote document generated from an HTML template you already keep.
Watch out
the HTML Code field expects single quotes, or double quotes that are escaped, otherwise the markup breaks.
70

IP to GEO (City)

Action

In Zapier“Gets the geolocation of an IP address.”

Finds the city behind an IP address, the number that identifies a connection on the internet.

When to use it
a SaaS team adds the city of each new trial user to the CRM record to route the lead to the right region.
Watch out
the IP Address field is required, and the city it returns is that of the connection, not always of the person.
71

If Free Email

Action

In Zapier“Check if email is free”

Tells you whether an address belongs to a free email provider rather than to a company domain, a quick way to sort leads.

When to use it
a B2B sales team splits inbound leads between business addresses and personal inboxes before assigning them.
Watch out
Email is the only required field, and the answer says nothing about whether the address actually works.
72

Run JavaScript Code

Action

In Zapier“Run JavaScript code (.js) via the API.”

Executes JavaScript code that you paste into the step, through the API, and returns what it produces.

When to use it
a value needs custom formatting, such as rebuilding an order reference from three fields.
Watch out
the Javascript Code field is required, and nothing runs if it is empty.
73

JSON Web Token Decode

Action

In Zapier“Decoding JSON Web Token”

Decodes a JSON Web Token so the data packed inside it becomes readable by the next steps.

When to use it
a link clicked by a customer carries a token, and the Zap needs the customer reference inside it.
Watch out
the Token field is required, and it must hold the full token.
74

Create JSON Web Token

Action

In Zapier“This action can be used to encrypt a JWT”

Creates a JSON Web Token, a signed string that carries data another system can trust.

When to use it
a member area expects a signed token in the link it sends to each new subscriber.
Watch out
the Data field is required, and it holds what the token will carry.
75

Get the Language of a Text

Action

In Zapier“Helps you to detect the mood of a text using natural language processing AI.”

Detects which language a text is written in, using natural language processing AI.

When to use it
support tickets get routed to the right team based on the language the customer writes in.
Watch out
the official description talks about mood, but the field asks for the text whose language you want.
76

Generate Line Chart

Action

In Zapier“Build customized line-charts”

Draws a line chart from your data series, the natural choice for a trend over time.

When to use it
a support manager tracks open tickets day by day and shares the curve with the team.
Watch out
Data and Labels must match in length, or the chart will not line up.
77

List All Saved Files

Action

In Zapier“List all the saved files”

Lists every file saved in 0CodeKit storage, a full inventory the following steps can sort through.

When to use it
an admin wants a regular check of stored files to spot what can be cleaned up.
Watch out
there is no field to fill in, so the list always covers the whole storage.
78

List All Global Variables

Action

In Zapier“Get all the stored global variables”

Returns every global variable stored on the account in one go.

When to use it
an admin wants an overview of every stored variable before cleaning up the ones no Zap uses anymore.
Watch out
there is no field to fill in, so the step always returns the full set.
79

Look Up VAT Rates

Action

In Zapier“Look up VAT rates”

Looks up the VAT rates that apply in a country, starting from its country code, and returns them to the Zap.

When to use it
a shop shipping across Europe needs the right rate applied on each invoice according to where the buyer lives.
Watch out
Country Code is required, so the earlier step must provide the code, not the full country name.
80

Merge PDF Files

Action

In Zapier“Merge multiple PDF files into a single one.”

Joins several PDF files into a single document, in the order you list them. You also choose which pages of each file go into the result.

When to use it
an accountant needs the invoice, the delivery note and the signed order bundled into one PDF per customer.
Watch out
the Pages entries follow the order of the File Urls list, and every file must sit at a public address.
81

Generate Mock User Data

Action

In Zapier“Use this endpoint to generate up to 1000 random user entities”

Generates up to 1000 random user records, with optional emails, usernames, avatars, passwords, birthdays, addresses, phone numbers and balances.

When to use it
a team testing a CRM import wants a full set of fake users before touching real contacts.
Watch out
Amount is required and sets how many users come back in the list.
82

Get the Mood of a Text With NLP AI

Action

In Zapier“Helps you to detect the mood of a text using natural language processing AI.”

Reads the mood of a text with natural language processing AI.

When to use it
a customer success team flags unhappy feedback for a call back before the next renewal.
Watch out
short replies such as ok or thanks carry little mood to read.
83

MSG to JSON

Action

In Zapier“Converts a MSG file to JSON”

Converts an Outlook MSG file, reached through its link, into structured data that later steps can read field by field.

When to use it
a legal team archives emails saved as MSG files and wants their content searchable in its document base.
Watch out
the URL of the MSG file is required, so the file has to be stored somewhere reachable first.
84

Nation ISO Matchdown

Action

In Zapier“Switch either ISO to Nation or Nation to ISO Alpha3166 Code”

Switches between a country name and its ISO 3166 code, in either direction.

When to use it
one tool stores countries as names and another wants codes, so records must be translated between them.
Watch out
no field shows as required, so test once on a real record before relying on it.
85

Detect Text in a Picture With OCR AI

Action

In Zapier“Detects the text in a picture using Optical Character Recognition AI.”

Reads the text inside a picture with optical character recognition AI and hands it to the next steps.

When to use it
business cards photographed at a trade show should end up as text instead of image files.
Watch out
this one reads images; for PDF files, PDF Text Recognition (OCR) is the matching step.
86

Split First and Last Name

Action

In Zapier“Splits a given string of potential names into its first name and last name.”

Breaks a full name into a first name and a last name, two separate values you can map into different fields.

When to use it
an event platform exports attendees with a single name field, while the newsletter tool asks for two.
Watch out
the Name field is required, and names with several parts may not split the way a person would.
87

Overlay Two Images

Action

In Zapier“Overlay two images”

Places a front image over a back image at one of five spots: center, top-left, top-right, bottom-left or bottom-right.

When to use it
a social media team stamps its logo in the corner of every visual before posting.
Watch out
all four fields are required, including Position and Return As Url.
88

Get the PDF Page Count

Action

In Zapier“Gets the page count from a PDF file.”

Counts how many pages a PDF holds and passes that figure to the next steps.

When to use it
a print-on-demand business prices each order by page count, so the number has to be known before the quote goes out.
Watch out
File Type is required, so set it before you test the step.
89

Decrypt PDF

Action

In Zapier“Decrypt the encrypted Pdf File.”

Opens a password-protected PDF and returns an unlocked copy that later steps can read, split or stamp.

When to use it
a bank sends statements as locked PDFs and the bookkeeping tool needs plain files to import.
Watch out
without the right password in the Password field the step has nothing to unlock.
90

Encrypt PDF

Action

In Zapier“This module encrypts a PDF”

Locks a PDF behind a user password, the key someone must type to open it.

When to use it
payslips leave an HR department by email and each one has to be protected before it is sent.
Watch out
the Url points to the PDF to protect and User Password is required, so keep that password somewhere your team can find it.
91

Markdown to PDF

Action

In Zapier“This module allows you to create html or Markdown content written with your own unique CSS Styling to Pdf.”

Renders Markdown or HTML, styled with your own CSS, into a PDF file. It suits text that already lives in plain Markdown, such as notes or release logs.

When to use it
a product team writes changelogs in Markdown and wants a clean PDF copy for customers without opening a word processor.
Watch out
the Markdown/Html String field is the only required input, so the styling has to travel inside it.
92

Add PDF Pages

Action

In Zapier“This module allows you to add Pdf Pages to an existing Pdf File.”

Appends pages to a PDF that already exists, working from the link of that file. The original document stays the base of the result.

When to use it
a standard terms-and-conditions page has to follow every quote that leaves the sales team.
Watch out
the Url field points to the PDF being edited, and that link must be reachable from outside.
93

Remove PDF Pages

Action

In Zapier“This module removes pages of the PDF File.”

Drops the pages you name from a PDF and keeps the rest. Ranges such as 1-5 work, and ^1 stands for the last page.

When to use it
a supplier always sends a cover sheet and an advertising page that nobody in accounts needs to archive.
Watch out
the page numbering starts at 1 for the first page, so double-check the range before you publish.
94

Resize PDF Pages

Action

In Zapier“This module resize pages of Pdf Files.”

Gives chosen pages of a PDF a new width and height, measured in points. The rest of the file keeps its size.

When to use it
a print shop requires every page at one fixed format before the job goes to the press.
Watch out
Width and Height are in points, not millimetres or pixels, so convert your target size first.
95

Rotate PDF Pages

Action

In Zapier“This module rotates the selected Pdf pages of a PDF file.”

Turns the selected pages of a PDF by the rotation value you set. You can target one page, a range, or a stretch ending on the last page.

When to use it
scanned delivery notes arrive sideways and the warehouse wants them upright before anyone reads them.
Watch out
Url, Rotate and Pages are all required, so a missing range stops the step.
96

PDF Text Recognition (OCR)

Action

In Zapier“Recognize text in pdf file”

Runs optical character recognition on a PDF and returns the text it reads, including from scanned pages that hold only pictures of words.

When to use it
a property manager receives scanned leases and wants their text searchable in a database.
Watch out
the Pdf URL has to be public, otherwise the recognition never sees the file.
97

Get the Context of a Picture With AI

Action

In Zapier“Detects what is on a picture with AI.”

Describes what is on a picture with AI, so a Zap can tag or route images by their content.

When to use it
a photo library team wants keywords on every new upload without reviewing each image by hand.
Watch out
the Image URL must be public.
98

Run Python Code

Action

In Zapier“Run Python code (.py) via the API.”

Runs Python code that you write in the step, through the API, when no ready-made action does what you need.

When to use it
a pricing rule mixes several fields in a way no single action covers, so a few lines of code do it.
Watch out
Python Code is required, and the imports go inside the same field as the rest of the code.
99

Get a Random City

Action

In Zapier“Get a random city from the planet earth.”

Picks a random city somewhere on earth and returns it to the Zap, with no field to fill in.

When to use it
a demo database for a sales presentation needs varied locations so the map does not look empty.
Watch out
the city is random every run, so do not expect the same answer twice.
100

Generate a Random Name

Action

In Zapier“Generates a random name.”

Generates a random name with no input at all, handy for filling test records with something that looks real.

When to use it
a developer testing a new form wants plausible names in the test entries rather than test1 and test2.
Watch out
there is nothing to fill in, and the name is invented, so never mix it with real customer data.
101

Generate a Random Number

Action

In Zapier“Generates a random number between the defined range and type.”

Draws a random number between a start and an end you set, either whole or decimal.

When to use it
a raffle at a trade show draws one winning ticket number among the tickets handed out.
Watch out
decimals always come back with two digits after the dot, and both range ends are included.
102

Generate a Random String

Action

In Zapier“Generates a random string of personalized lenght and characters.”

Builds a random string of characters, with the length and the type of characters you choose.

When to use it
each gift voucher sold online needs a unique code the shop can check at checkout.
Watch out
Type and Length are both required, and randomness alone does not guarantee a code was never used before.
103

Read a QR Code From URL

Action

In Zapier“Read QR Code data from a URL”

Reads the data stored in a QR code from the link of its image.

When to use it
returned parcels carry a QR label and the warehouse wants the order reference read automatically.
Watch out
the Image URL is required, so the picture of the code has to be online.
104

AI Redact Sensitive Information From PDF

Action

In Zapier“An AI-Driven Endpoint that automatically detects and redacts specific words, numbers, or sensitive information based on your preferences.”

Uses AI to spot and black out the words, numbers or details you describe as sensitive in a PDF.

When to use it
case files shared with an outside expert must hide client names and account numbers first.
Watch out
the Context prompt decides what counts as sensitive, so a vague description gives a vague redaction.
105

Remove Background From Image

Action

In Zapier“Removes the background of a picture by using AI.”

Strips the background from a picture with AI and keeps the subject.

When to use it
an online shop wants product shots on a clean background without a designer cutting each one out.
Watch out
the step shows no required field for this action, so test it once on a real image before publishing.
106

Resize Image

Action

In Zapier“Resizing Image with custom Width and Heigth”

Gives an image a new width and height. The field label reads Heigth in the editor, so look for that spelling.

When to use it
product shots for a marketplace must all share the exact same dimensions before upload.
Watch out
Return As URL is required on this action, unlike on Convert Image.
107

Retrieve Credits

Action

In Zapier“Retrieve User Credits”

Retrieves the credits left on the 0CodeKit account, a reading of the balance before heavy runs.

When to use it
a team about to process a large batch of documents checks the balance first.
Watch out
there is no field to fill in, so the answer always concerns the connected account.
108

Rotate Image

Action

In Zapier“Rotating Image by Angle”

Turns a picture by the angle you set and hands the result back, as a link if you ask for one.

When to use it
phone photos from field technicians often arrive sideways in the ticket system.
Watch out
URL, Angle and Return As URL are all required, so fill all three.
109

Schedule a Webhook Execution

Action

In Zapier“Create a scheduled webhook execution”

Schedules a call to an address you choose, with the data you set, to run later according to the interval options.

When to use it
a follow-up message has to go out some time after a sign-up, through a tool that listens at an address.
Watch out
Webhook URL, Data and Interval Options are all required.
110

Sharpen Image

Action

In Zapier“Sharpen Image with Sigma value”

Brings out edges and detail in a picture that looks slightly soft.

When to use it
photos taken by delivery drivers as proof of drop-off are hard to read once compressed by the phone.
Watch out
Return As URL is required, so tell the step how the result should travel on.
111

Split PDF File

Action

In Zapier“Split a PDF file into multiple files”

Cuts one PDF file into several smaller files. Each part can then feed its own step further down the Zap.

When to use it
a scanner drops one long batch of forms as a single PDF and each form needs to be filed separately.
Watch out
the File Type field is required, so set it before the first test.
112

Delete File by ID.

Action

In Zapier“Deletes a certain File by ID in the 0-Codekit Storage.”

Deletes one file, picked by its ID, from 0CodeKit storage.

When to use it
files from client projects that have closed need removing so storage only holds live work.
Watch out
the step shows no required field for this action, so test it on a throwaway file before relying on it.
113

Extract String From Text

Action

In Zapier“Extract string between two words from a text”

Grabs the string sitting between two words of a text. Turn Greedy on and the start and end words are kept too.

When to use it
order confirmations always put the order number between the same two words.
Watch out
Starting Word, End word and Text are all required.
114

Convert Timezone

Action

In Zapier“Convert timezones around the globe”

Converts a time from one timezone into another, so each person sees the slot in their own local time.

When to use it
a distributed team books calls across continents and every invitee needs the right hour in the confirmation.
Watch out
Time, Timezone and Desired Timezone are all required, so the source timezone cannot be guessed.
115

Too Long to Read

Action

In Zapier“Summarize a text”

Summarises a long text into something short enough to read at a glance. The editor names it Too Long to Read.

When to use it
long customer emails land in a shared inbox and the team wants a short version next to each one.
Watch out
Text is the only required input, so trim signatures and quoted replies first.
116

Check Rate Limit

Action

In Zapier“This module allows to create a rate limit for incoming request in order to manage traffic.”

Sets up a rate limit on incoming requests, a traffic light that lets one request through, then makes the next wait.

When to use it
a form can be submitted in bursts and the tool behind it must not be flooded.
Watch out
the Interval is the minimum number of seconds between two allowed requests, and Name identifies the route.
117

Transcribe

Action

In Zapier“Transcribe Audio File”

Turns an audio file into written text, working from the link of the recording.

When to use it
voicemails left on a sales line should appear as text in the CRM.
Watch out
the URL field is required, so the recording must be online.
118

Translate a Text

Action

In Zapier“Gets the translation of a text or multiple sentences.”

Rewrites a text, or a handful of sentences, in the target language you pick, and passes the translated version to the following steps.

When to use it
product reviews come in from several countries while the product team only reads English, so each review is translated before it reaches their board.
Watch out
Target Language and Text are both required, so map the language from a fixed choice rather than leaving it blank.
119

Update JSON Bin

Action

In Zapier“Updates a JSON Bin”

Rewrites the content of a JSON bin that already exists, so the stored data stays current.

When to use it
a status stored in a bin, such as the last order handled, needs refreshing after each run of the Zap.
Watch out
Bin ID and Input Field Type are both required, so keep the ID returned when the bin was created.
120

Update a Shortened URL

Action

In Zapier“Update a shortened URL”

Changes where an existing short link points, without changing the short link itself.

When to use it
a link printed on flyers has to lead to a new landing page once the first offer ends.
Watch out
Shortened URL Identifier and New Destination URL are both required.
121

Upload File

Action

In Zapier“Upload a file online”

Uploads a file to 0CodeKit storage online, where later steps or other Zaps can reach it again.

When to use it
a generated PDF needs a home in storage before a later step sends its link to a client.
Watch out
the step shows no required field, so check the setup on a test run before you publish.
122

Upload Temporary File

Action

In Zapier“Upload a temporary file”

Sends a file to temporary storage, a short stop for a file that only has to exist for the next steps.

When to use it
an image produced mid-Zap only needs to live long enough for the following step to fetch it.
Watch out
temporary is the point, so do not rely on this file as your archive.
123

Get Available IP Address

Action

In Zapier“Retrieves a list of available IP addresses, including Virtual IP, Outbound IP, and Additional Outbound IP addresses.”

Retrieves the list of available IP addresses: virtual, outbound and additional outbound.

When to use it
a client firewall only lets known addresses in, so the IT team needs the list to allow them.
Watch out
nothing to fill in, and the list is that of the service, not of your own network.
124

Parse UTM Parameters From URL

Action

In Zapier“Retrieve the UTM parameters from a URL”

Reads the UTM parameters out of a link, the small tags added to a URL that say which campaign sent a visitor.

When to use it
a marketing team logs the campaign behind every demo request so it can tell which ads bring meetings.
Watch out
the URL to analyse is required.
125

Verify an Email and Correct It

Action

In Zapier“Validates an email address matching it with standards and eventually corrects it.”

Checks an email address against the standards and corrects it when it can.

When to use it
a webinar sign-up form collects typos like gmial and you want them fixed before the reminder goes out.
Watch out
the Email Address field is required.
126

Validate Geolocation

Action

In Zapier“Validating Geo Location”

Validates a geographic location from a written address, so the Zap knows whether that place can be found.

When to use it
a home services company checks each customer address before it books a technician for the visit.
Watch out
Address is the only required field.
127

Verify VAT ID

Action

In Zapier“Checks if VAT number and its ID is valid.”

Checks whether a VAT number and its ID are valid, so a company buyer can be invoiced the right way.

When to use it
an online store selling to other businesses wants each VAT number checked before it issues an invoice without tax.
Watch out
the step shows no required field here, so run one test with a real number before you publish.
128

Verify BIC

Action

In Zapier“Verifies a banking BIC.”

Verifies a banking BIC, the code that identifies a bank.

When to use it
a supplier onboarding form asks for bank details and finance wants each BIC checked on entry.
Watch out
the bic field is required, written in lowercase in the editor.
129

Verify a Domain

Action

In Zapier“Verifies a top-level- or subdomain.”

Verifies a domain name, whether it is a top-level domain or a subdomain, and returns the outcome.

When to use it
a SaaS signup flow wants to know that the company website typed into the form really exists before a salesperson calls.
Watch out
the Domain field is required, so pass the domain itself.
130

Verify IBAN

Action

In Zapier“Verifies a European banking-IBAN.”

Verifies a European bank IBAN and tells the Zap whether it holds up, before money is ever sent to it.

When to use it
a payroll team onboarding new staff wants each bank account checked before the first salary transfer is prepared.
Watch out
it only covers European IBANs, so accounts from other regions need another check.
131

Watermark an Image Into PDF File

Action

In Zapier“Modify a PDF to add a semi-transparent watermark image, with customizable parameters without obscuring content.”

Adds a faint image watermark, such as a logo, over a PDF while keeping the content readable. Repeat tiles it across the range you set.

When to use it
an architect sends plans for review and wants the studio logo on each sheet to discourage reuse.
Watch out
the step takes two links, the PDF in Url and the logo in Image Url, and both must be public.
132

Draw PDF Text

Action

In Zapier“Modify a PDF to add a semi-transparent watermark text, with customizable parameters without obscuring content..”

Lays a semi-transparent line of text over a PDF without hiding what is underneath. The Repeat option spreads it across the chosen pages.

When to use it
drafts shared with a client must say DRAFT across every page until the final version is signed.
Watch out
it shows up as Draw PDF Text in the list, exactly like the plain text insert, so check the description before you pick.
133

Weekend Checker

Action

In Zapier“Check if a Day is Weekend or Working Day.”

Says whether a given date falls on a weekend or on a working day, so the Zap can wait or carry on.

When to use it
a support team only sends satisfaction surveys on business days, when someone is around to answer replies.
Watch out
the Date field is required, so map a real date from the step before.
Searches

The 0CodeKit search

1 search step looks for data that already exists in 0CodeKit, so a later step can use it.

A search step sits under its own SEARCH heading at the bottom of the Action event list. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not a single clean match.

1

Get JSON Bin

SearchFind or create

In Zapier“Get a JSON bin by ID”

Fetches the content of a JSON bin from its ID, so the steps that follow can reuse data an earlier Zap stored there.

When to use it
a pricing Zap reads the current discount table kept in a bin before it builds a quote.
Watch out
the editor also lists Create JSON Bin under the same key: that line is this search with the create option ticked, not a separate operation, and it creates the bin when none is found.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there, and the steps that relied on it are skipped. Switch it on and the Zap carries on empty-handed.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
Ticking it turns the search into a find-or-create. The setting above disappears, and the step asks for the fields it needs to create the missing item.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out: keep the first match, which is the default, stop the Zap, or pass all the matches on at once.
When it breaks

When a 0CodeKit Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to 0CodeKit, so the known failure points are the general ones of any Zap.

Four cases are worth knowing before you publish. When one of them hits anyway, the Zapier troubleshooting guide is the place to start.

  • Nothing from before the Zap

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Files and records that already existed are not picked up, and moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A Zap that feeds itself

If the Zap writes into the very place its trigger watches, for example a folder of PDFs it also produces, it sets itself off again and again and burns tasks fast.
  • A sudden flood held back

After a bulk import or a migration, the starting app can return a huge batch at once. Zapier flood protection may hold those items back.
  • The same item never runs twice

On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so one item does not start the Zap twice.

FAQ

0CodeKit Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the 0CodeKit Zapier integration free?
Yes, within the free plan. 0CodeKit is not a premium app, so its steps are open without paying Zapier. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap holds two steps: one trigger from another app and one 0CodeKit action. As soon as you chain two actions, add a filter or add the search, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. Any limits of your 0CodeKit account itself are a separate matter set by 0CodeKit.
02How many tasks does a 0CodeKit Zap use?
One task per 0CodeKit action that succeeds, each time the Zap runs. The trigger from the starting app costs nothing, and Zapier checking for new data costs nothing either. An action that fails is not counted against the plan. A Zap that converts a document, then compresses it, then encrypts it uses three tasks per run, three times what a single action uses. A few apps and a few actions take more than one task, so keep an eye on the task count after the first runs.
03Does a 0CodeKit Zap run in real time?
It depends on the app that starts it, because 0CodeKit has no trigger of its own. If that app offers an instant trigger, it reports the event to Zapier the moment it happens, on any plan. If the trigger is a polling one, Zapier checks on a timer: every 15 minutes on the free plan, every 2 minutes on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. The 0CodeKit steps then run as soon as the Zap reaches them.
04What does it take to connect 0CodeKit to Zapier?
An existing 0CodeKit account and a Zapier account. From the Apps page in Zapier, you add a connection, search 0CodeKit, sign in in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. The connection is then reused by every 0CodeKit step in every Zap. If the Zap touches files or data that someone else owns, the account also needs read or write access to them. Many actions also need files reachable at a public address.
05Why does a 0CodeKit image or PDF step fail to read the file?
Usually because the file is not at a public address. The vision actions, such as Detect Faces With AI or Get the Context of a Picture With AI, state that the image URL must be public, and PDF Text Recognition (OCR) says the same for its PDF. A link that needs a login, or a file in a private folder, cannot be reached. Store the file somewhere reachable, then map that link into the step.
06What if the 0CodeKit action you need does not exist?
Look at the code steps first. Run Python Code and Run JavaScript Code execute code you write inside the Zap, which covers a calculation or a format that none of the 133 actions handles. Generate Python Code and Generate Javascript Code can draft that code with AI from a description, though a person should read it before it runs. If the need sits on the starting side instead, remember that 0CodeKit has no trigger: the event has to come from another app.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for 0CodeKit?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. On Zapier, 0CodeKit brings 133 actions and 1 search, works on the free plan, and every successful action counts as one task. The deciding questions are how many steps your scenarios need, since the free Zapier plan stops at two, how your team prefers to build, and how each platform bills a run with many steps. Compare those three points on your own volumes before choosing.
