Addo Sign Zapier integrationAutomate Addo Sign with Zapier.
The Addo Sign Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 1 action, and 0 searches. One side starts a signing from another app, the other side picks up the signed files once a transaction is done. It works on the free plan, with a few limits worth knowing first.

What the Addo Sign Zapier integration actually does
Addo Sign is a document signing service. Plugging it into Zapier means two things, and only two: sending a document out for signature without opening Addo Sign, and catching the signed files once Zapier, on one of its regular checks, sees that a transaction has closed. Everything else still happens inside Addo Sign itself.
Three results people usually build. A signed contract archive: Download Files From Completed Transactions fires once a signing is done and the files can be fetched, and the next step drops them into a storage app, so nobody chases the PDF by hand. A signing kicked off from a sales tool: a quote saved as a PDF in another app feeds Initiate Signing, which builds the signing from one of your templates and sends it to the right recipient. A closing loop for an HR team: the offer letter goes out through Initiate Signing, then the completed files come back through the trigger and land in the new hire's folder.
What Zapier does not do here: there is no search step for Addo Sign, so a Zap cannot look up an existing signing or a recipient. There is no instant trigger either. The single trigger is checked on a timer, so a signed document can sit for a while before the Zap reacts. And only one action exists: no reminder, no cancel, no status update from Zapier.
If you are weighing the tool itself before wiring anything, the Zapier review covers the platform as a whole, and Make vs Zapier compares the two side by side, criterion by criterion.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on this page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for it.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
- Task
- What Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer by Zapier. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived matches your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Addo Sign account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches Addo Sign.
What an Addo Sign Zap really costs
Addo Sign is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan. The bill is counted in tasks, not in Zaps.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- Trigger checksFree of charge, whatever the plan
- Failed actionNot counted
The trigger never costs a task, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to look for completed signings. Only an action that goes through is counted: a Zap that archives each signed file through one action uses one task per completed transaction. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and checks every 15 minutes, but it stops at two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
Connect your Addo Sign account to Zapier
- 01
Open the connections page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You only need an Addo Sign account here, plus access to any signing or template you do not own and want the Zap to use.
- 02
Find Addo Sign
Type Addo Sign in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the list, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Addo Sign side of the handshake.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in with your Addo Sign credentials in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then shows up in your list and every future Addo Sign step can reuse it.
Your first Zap: file every signed document automatically
GoalEach time a signing is completed in Addo Sign, its files are uploaded to a Google Drive folder.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap and pick Addo Sign as the app that starts it, with Download Files From Completed Transactions as the event. Choose your Addo Sign connection.
- 02
Set up the proxy
The trigger asks for an active proxy. Create it with your Addo Sign login if it does not exist yet, then come back to the step.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the account, so pick a real completed signing to build on.
- 04
Add the upload
Add Google Drive with Upload File as the action, choose the folder, and map the file coming from Addo Sign into the file field.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action once and check the signed file actually landed in the right folder. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on.
The Addo Sign trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Addo Sign. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
Download Files From Completed Transactions
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a signing is completed and files are ready for download.”
This one wakes your Zap when a signing reaches the end and its documents are ready to fetch. The signed files travel on to the next step, so you can store, forward or log them without opening Addo Sign.
The Addo Sign action
Addo Sign gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Initiate Signing
ActionIn Zapier“Initiates a signing in Addo Sign”
Sends a PDF out for signature from another app: you name the signing, pick a template, attach the file and set the recipient's name and email.
When an Addo Sign Zap breaks
Addo Sign has no Zapier help article of its own and no published rate limit. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap.
Four situations account for most surprises with this trigger and this action. Each one is avoidable once you know it exists. If a Zap still misbehaves, the Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the usual checks.
Old signings never show up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Transactions completed before you published it stay where they are, and moving them is a separate job.The Zap keeps restarting itself
A Zap that writes back into the very place its own trigger watches sets itself off again and again, and burns through the task count fast.A big batch is held back
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge pile at once, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back. The same signing never fires twice
Zapier remembers what it already saw on a polling trigger, so a completed transaction starts the Zap once. That is by design, not a bug.
