What the AgentIzzy Zapier integration does for you
AgentIzzy answers the phone around the clock, 24/7, and notes who called and who left their details. The Zapier side is one-way: Zapier picks up those calls and leads and pushes them somewhere else. A Zap is the automation you build there, one starting event followed by the steps that run each time it happens.
Three outcomes cover most setups. A lead list that fills itself: a roofing contractor sends every New Lead to a shared sheet, so the morning quote round starts from a list nobody typed. A call log the office can read: a dental practice routes each New Call into its team chat, which tells the front desk the agent handled something overnight. A follow-up that is not forgotten: a driving school pushes leads into its CRM, where a salesperson calls back.
Now the part the app page does not spell out. AgentIzzy has no actions and no searches on Zapier. A Zap cannot ask the agent to place a call, update a lead or look up a past caller; data only flows out of AgentIzzy, never back in. Both triggers also work on a timer, so nothing arrives the second the phone hangs up.
If you are weighing other tools for the same job, the n8n vs Zapier comparison is one place to start, and the Zapier review is another.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words you will meet in the editor, in plain English.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it, here a new call or a new lead in AgentIzzy.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One action completed successfully counts as one task, and your plan is a monthly count of those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer. It asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only what it has not seen yet.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier the moment the event happens. AgentIzzy has none of these today.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Connection
- Your AgentIzzy account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that needs it, so you sign in a single time.
What an AgentIzzy Zap really costs
AgentIzzy is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Trigger checksFree of charge
- Free plan limitOne trigger plus one action
- Premium appNo
The trigger never costs a task, and neither do the checks Zapier runs to look for new calls. You pay only when the next step completes: one sheet row, one message, one task. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and checks every 15 minutes, but it only builds two-step Zaps. Add a filter, a second action or a search and the Zap becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.
Connect AgentIzzy to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need an AgentIzzy account before you start, since Zapier does not create one for you.
- 02
Find AgentIzzy
Type AgentIzzy in the dialog that appears, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the AgentIzzy side, ready for your login.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to AgentIzzy in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. If the account belongs to someone else, ask for read access first, before you connect.
Your first AgentIzzy Zap: leads into a sheet
GoalEvery lead AgentIzzy captures that passes your filter lands as a new row in a shared Google Sheets file, ready for the next callback round.
- 01
Create the Zap
Click to build a new Zap from your dashboard. The filter makes it a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan or the free trial.
- 02
Pick AgentIzzy and New Lead
Choose AgentIzzy as the starting app, then
New Leadas the event, and select the AgentIzzy connection you made a moment ago. - 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads from your account, so you map the next step on a real one instead of a blank.
- 04
Add the filter and the sheet
Add a Filter step from the plus icon and set the field, the rule and the value. Then add Google Sheets, pick the file and map the lead details into the columns.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action once and open the sheet to check the new row landed. When it looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on.
AgentIzzy triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in AgentIzzy. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Call
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when AgentIzzy receives a new phone call.”
Starts the Zap each time the AI agent picks up a phone call on your number, whether or not the caller left details. It is the broader of the two events, so it also covers calls that never turn into a lead.
New Lead
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when AgentIzzy captures a new lead from a phone call.”
Fires when AgentIzzy turns a phone conversation into a lead, meaning the caller became a prospect worth following up. This narrower event skips the calls that went nowhere, which keeps your task count lower than New Call.
When an AgentIzzy Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to AgentIzzy, so the traps below are the general ones that hit any polling app.
Most broken AgentIzzy Zaps come down to timing or volume, not to the connection. For a guided fix, the Zapier troubleshooting page walks through the usual suspects.
Old calls never come through
A Zap only reacts to calls and leads that arrive after it is switched on. Anything AgentIzzy logged before stays there, and moving it is a separate job.The Zap keeps setting itself off
A Zap that writes back into the place its own trigger watches starts itself again and again, and burns through the task count very quickly.A sudden batch is held back
After a bulk import or migration, a trigger that returns a huge pile at once can be held back by Zapier's flood protection instead of running. Each item fires once
Zapier remembers what it has already seen on a polling trigger, so the same lead does not start the Zap twice, even across several checks.
