Bannerbite Zapier integrationAutomate Bannerbite with Zapier.

The Bannerbite Zapier integration gives you 3 triggers and 2 actions, with no search step. One trigger fires instantly even on the free plan. The two actions turn a Bannerbite video into rendered media or a shareable form, without opening the app.

Overview

What the Bannerbite Zapier integration actually does for you

Bannerbite is a tool that generates videos automatically. Connecting it to Zapier means an event in Bannerbite, or elsewhere, can start a chain of steps that runs without you. Zapier calls that chain a Zap: one trigger that starts it, then one or more actions that do the work.

Three outcomes cover most of what people build here. First, rendered media on demand: Render Media takes a bite (a Bannerbite video) plus a custom message and produces the image or video for your social posts. Second, a form people can open: Shared Form turns a bite into a shareable video form. Third, a reaction the moment something happens: Bannerbite Webhook starts the Zap as soon as Bannerbite reports the event.

That last point matters more than it looks. Out of 3 triggers, Bannerbite Webhook is the only instant one. It reacts straight away, even on the free plan, while Get All Bites and Get Project wait for the interval of your plan. If speed matters, build around the webhook.

Now the limits. Zapier offers no search step for Bannerbite, so a Zap cannot look up an existing bite by name halfway through. There is no action to delete or edit a project either: the integration reads projects and bites, renders, and shares. Anything else stays in Bannerbite itself.

If you are weighing tools, the Bannerbite Make integration covers the same app on another platform, and for Zapier itself, our Zapier review is the place to start.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary, in one minute

Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here they are, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or renders something for you in an app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, so nothing waits.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Bannerbite Zap really costs

Bannerbite is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The bill is counted in tasks, and only finished actions count.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Zap length on FreeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
  • Premium appNo, Bannerbite works on every plan
  • Trigger costZero tasks, whatever the interval

The trigger never costs a task, however often Zapier checks for new bites or projects. Each Render Media or Shared Form that succeeds costs one task; one that fails costs nothing. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, but only two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Add a second action or a filter and the Zap needs a paid plan. On the polling triggers, the check interval also depends on the plan, as the grid below shows.

Connect

Connect your Bannerbite account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Bannerbite account linked once, then reused by every step that needs it.

  2. 02

    Find Bannerbite

Type Bannerbite in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Bannerbite side, where the sign-in happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Bannerbite in that tab and allow Zapier into the account. You need your own account, plus access to any project you do not own but want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Zap: render and share a bite the moment Bannerbite reports it

GoalWhen Bannerbite fires its webhook, render the media with your message, then create a shareable video form from the same bite.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap and pick Bannerbite as the app that starts it, with Bannerbite Webhook as the event. Choose your connected account.

  2. 02

    Set the trigger

Give the webhook a name, then choose the project and the bite it watches. All three boxes are required, so the Zap will not go further while one is empty.

  3. 03

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from your account, so you map the next steps on a real one instead of a guess.

  4. 04

    Add Render Media

Add an action, pick Render Media, set the type, select the bite and write the custom message for your social posts. Map fields from the trigger where they fit.

  5. 05

    Add Shared Form

Add Shared Form and select the same bite. This second action makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan; on Free, keep only one action.

  6. 06

    Test and publish

Test each action and read what came back. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. From then on, every webhook that ends in a render and a form uses two tasks.

Triggers

Bannerbite triggers

3 events start a Zap when something happens in Bannerbite, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Bannerbite Webhook

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when webhook bannerbite.”

This one starts your Zap as soon as Bannerbite sends its webhook for the bite you picked inside a given project. It is the fastest door into Zapier this app offers.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
any flow where waiting a quarter of an hour would ruin the point, such as posting a fresh render while a campaign is live.
Watch out
it needs a webhook name, a project ID and a bite ID, so that project and that bite must already exist in your Bannerbite account before you set it up.
2

Get All Bites

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when get list bites from project.”

Here Zapier watches the list of bites in one project and starts the Zap for each bite it has not seen before. Older bites already in the project are ignored.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
a team that adds new bites to one campaign project and wants each of them rendered or shared without anyone clicking.
Watch out
the project is a required choice, so one Zap covers one project; a second project means a second Zap.
3

Get Project

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when get list project from your accounts.”

Zapier reads the list of projects in your Bannerbite account and reacts when a project appears that it has not met yet. It works at the level above bites.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
logging every new project somewhere your team already looks, so nobody discovers a campaign late.
Watch out
since Zapier remembers what it has already seen, renaming an existing project will not start the Zap again.
Actions

Bannerbite actions

Bannerbite gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Shared Form

Action

In Zapier“This function will create a shareable video form”

Creates a shareable video form from the bite you select, so what the Zap produces is something people open from a link.

When to use it
giving each new sign-up collected in another app a video form, without building it by hand.
Watch out
the bite is the only required choice, so check it before publishing; a wrong bite puts the wrong video in every form the Zap creates.
2

Render Media

Action

In Zapier“This function will render image or video from your input (data)”

Produces an image or a video from one of your bites, filled with the data the Zap carries. You choose the output type and add the message that goes with your social posts.

When to use it
turning each new entry from another app into a ready-to-post visual.
Watch out
type, bite and custom message are all required, so every run has to supply a message, typed once or mapped from an earlier step.
When it breaks

When a Bannerbite Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Bannerbite, so the failures below are the general ones, applied to this app.

None of these show up as an error at setup. They show up a week later, as a missing render or a task count that melted.

  • Old bites are never picked up

Publishing the Zap draws a line: only bites and projects that appear afterwards count. Everything already in your account stays out, and moving that backlog is a job of its own.
  • The Zap feeds itself

A Zap that writes into the very project Get All Bites watches sets itself off on each new bite. Render Media and Shared Form only render and share, so check any other step you add.
  • A bulk import gets held back

Dropping a large set of bites into a project in one go can make Get All Bites return a huge batch at once, and Zapier's flood protection may hold it back.
  • The same bite does not fire twice

Zapier remembers what a polling trigger has already returned. Editing a bite it has seen will not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

Bannerbite Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the Bannerbite Zapier integration free?
Yes, it works on the free Zapier plan because Bannerbite is not a premium app. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but every Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. As soon as you want two Bannerbite actions in a row, or a filter in the middle, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. Bannerbite itself has its own account terms, which this page does not cover.
02How many tasks does a Bannerbite Zap use?
Each run is billed by the number of Bannerbite actions that succeed, and the trigger is free. Webhook into Render Media means one task per run; chain Shared Form after it and the same run uses two, which also takes the Zap off the free plan. A render that fails is not deducted. Zapier looking for new bites or projects on Get All Bites and Get Project costs nothing either, however often it checks, so a quiet project is free to watch.
03Does Bannerbite on Zapier work in real time?
Only one trigger does: Bannerbite Webhook is instant, so Bannerbite tells Zapier the moment the event happens and the Zap starts at once, on any plan. Get All Bites and Get Project are polling triggers. Zapier checks them on a timer, every 15 minutes on the free plan, every 2 minutes on Professional, and every minute on Team and Enterprise. If speed matters, build on the webhook. The webhook costs no more than the polling ones, either.
04What do you need to connect a Bannerbite account?
A Bannerbite account you can sign in to, and access to any project you do not own but want the Zap to use. The connection itself takes three moves: open Apps in Zapier, click + Add connection and pick Bannerbite, then sign in and grant access in the tab that opens. Create a project and a bite beforehand, because every operation asks you to pick one. Without them, the dropdowns stay empty.
05Why does Bannerbite Webhook ask for a project ID and a bite ID?
Because the trigger is tied to one bite inside one project, and all three of its boxes are required: the webhook name, the project and the bite. If the project or the bite does not exist yet in your account, there is nothing to pick in the list. Set them up in Bannerbite first, then come back to Zapier and the lists will fill in. The same logic applies to Shared Form, which needs a bite.
06What if the Bannerbite operation you want is not on Zapier?
Then it is out of reach on Zapier for now. Bannerbite exposes 3 triggers and 2 actions here: a webhook, two timed readers of projects and bites, a render and a shared form. Editing or deleting a project, or looking up a bite by name, is not part of it. The practical route is to let Zapier render and share, and do the rest inside Bannerbite, or to check the Bannerbite integration on Make for the missing step. What the editor lists is the whole set.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Bannerbite?
It depends on the criterion, not on a winner. Zapier is the quickest to learn and offers an instant webhook trigger here, but anything beyond two steps needs a paid plan. Make lays the scenario out as a diagram you can follow step by step, and Bannerbite is available there as well. n8n fits teams that want to host the tool themselves and accept more setup. Pick the one that matches your budget and your patience for configuration.
