Eden AI Zapier integrationAutomate Eden AI with Zapier.

The Eden AI Zapier integration gives you 42 actions, 0 triggers and 0 searches. Eden AI never starts a workflow by itself: another tool fires it, then Eden AI reads, writes, translates or checks the text, image, audio or document it receives.

Overview

What the Eden AI Zapier integration actually does

Eden AI bundles many AI engines behind one account, so you call them without wiring each provider yourself. On Zapier, that bundle becomes a toolbox of actions: something happens in another app, and Eden AI processes the content that came with it. You pick the job (summarize, parse, transcribe, detect) and map what the earlier step carried.

Three results come up again and again. A clean record from a messy file: Invoice Parser, Receipt Parser or Resume Parser turn a PDF or a photo into structured data. A label on every incoming message: Analyze Sentiments in Text returns positive, negative or neutral, and Topic Extraction says what the message is about. A new asset from a short brief: Generate Text, Image Generation or Generate Audio From Text produce a draft, a visual or a voice track.

Now the part the app page leaves out. Eden AI has no trigger on Zapier, so it can never be the first step: your Zap has to start in another tool. It has no search step either, so nothing looks up an earlier result for you. And the longest jobs (multi-page OCR, audio transcription, document redaction) come as two actions, one that launches and one that fetches the result. Two actions in one Zap means a multi-step Zap, which the free plan does not build.

The same app is also covered on Make, in our Eden AI Make integration page, and the platform choice itself is laid out in Make vs Zapier.

Vocabulary

Zapier words you will meet on this page

Seven terms, one line each. Once explained here, they come back without a reminder.

Zap
The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, followed by one or more actions that run each time that event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event. Eden AI offers none.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or processes something for you. All 42 Eden AI operations are actions.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The number printed on your plan counts exactly those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the data that arrived meets your condition, and stops the run otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What an Eden AI Zap costs you in Zapier tasks

Zapier counts tasks, and only on actions. With Eden AI, every step on the app side is an action, so every successful call counts.

  • Trigger0 tasks, always
  • Each successful Eden AI action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps: one trigger, one action
  • Eden AI on FreeYes, not reserved for paid plans

The trigger in the other app is free, and so is every check Zapier runs to look for new items. Each Eden AI action that succeeds uses one task; one that fails costs nothing. A few apps and actions take more than one task, so keep an eye on the counter. Eden AI is not an app Zapier reserves for paid plans: it works on Free. But Free builds two-step Zaps only, and any launch-then-fetch pair, filter or second action makes the Zap multi-step.

Connect

Connect your Eden AI account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Eden AI account linked once, then reused by every step that calls Eden AI. Before you start, check that you have an Eden AI account.

  2. 02

    Find Eden AI and confirm

Type Eden AI in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. Zapier opens a new tab where Eden AI asks you to sign in.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Eden AI in that tab and let Zapier use the account. If the files you plan to process belong to someone else, make sure you can read them: the Zap only reaches what your access already covers.

First Zap

Your first Zap: flag angry tickets and summarize them

GoalEvery new helpdesk ticket gets a sentiment score, and only negative ones get a short summary for the team lead.

  1. 01

    Build: pick the starting event

Create a Zap and choose your helpdesk as the trigger app, with its new-ticket event. Eden AI cannot fill this slot, since it has no trigger of its own.

  2. 02

    Add Analyze Sentiments in Text

Add Eden AI as the action, pick Analyze Sentiments in Text and map the ticket body into the Text field. That is the only required box.

  3. 03

Add a filter on the result

From the plus icon, add Filter and set three boxes: the sentiment field, a text rule, and the value negative. A number rule on text never passes.

  4. 04

    Add Summarize Text

Add a second Eden AI action, Summarize Text. Fill Providers, Language and Text, mapping the ticket body again. This filter plus second action make a multi-step Zap, so a paid plan is needed.

  5. 05

    Test, then Publish

Test each step once and read what came back. The trigger test pulls the three most recent tickets, so you map on a real one. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Actions

The 42 Eden AI actions, grouped by job

Eden AI gives you 42 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

AI Generated Content Detection

Action

In Zapier“The AI Detection API is a tool designed to determine whether a given text was generated by an artificial intelligence chatbot, or a Language Model (LLM).”

Checks whether a text was likely written by a chatbot or a language model.

When to use it
a content agency screens freelance submissions before they reach the editor.
Watch out
treat the answer as a signal for a human to review, not as a verdict on its own.
2

Translate Text

Action

In Zapier“Translates a text into another language using rules, statics or ML technics.”

Turns a text into another language. Only the Text box is required to run it.

When to use it
a marketplace receives seller messages in several languages and wants them in English for the ops team.
Watch out
pair it with Detect Language of Text and a filter if you only want foreign messages translated.
3

AutoML Classification

Action

In Zapier“Identifies the type of the picture based on your data”

Sorts a picture into a category based on a model you trained on your own data.

When to use it
a quality control team trained a model on defect photos and wants every new shot classified.
Watch out
the Project ID box needs an existing AutoML project on your Eden AI account.
4

Remove the Background of an Image

Action

In Zapier“Eliminate the backdrop of a photo, leaving behind only the main subject.”

Cuts out the main subject of a photo and drops everything behind it.

When to use it
an online shop uploads raw product shots and wants clean cutouts for the catalog.
Watch out
the File box needs the image URL from an earlier step.
5

Chat

Action

In Zapier“generate human-like responses to various inputs and queries.”

Sends one message to a conversational model and hands back a human-sounding reply. The single required box is Text.

When to use it
a lead fills in a contact form and you want a first draft reply waiting in your inbox.
Watch out
Text is the only required box, so whatever the reply should take into account has to be mapped into it.
6

Extract Custom Entities in Text

Action

In Zapier“Extracts custom entities that are specified in the request.”

Lets you decide which kinds of items to pull out of a text, such as a job title or a country, and shows Eden AI a few examples first.

When to use it
a legal team wants contract parties and governing law spotted in every new agreement.
Watch out
Entities needs at least two items, and Examples is required too.
7

Get Document Redaction Results

Action

In Zapier“Get the results of the document redaction process.”

Collects the output of a redaction job, using the public id from the launch step.

When to use it
immediately after Document Redaction Launch in the same Zap.
Watch out
the Public id is the only required box, and it comes from Document Redaction Launch.
8

Document Redaction Launch

Action

In Zapier“Launch an anonymization of sensitive data in a document.”

Starts hiding sensitive data inside a document. A second action picks up the redacted file.

When to use it
an HR team shares employee files with an outside auditor.
Watch out
Providers and File are required, and the launch alone does not hand you the result.
9

Document Translation

Action

In Zapier“Translate your document into any language you want.”

Translates a whole document rather than a block of text, into the language you choose.

When to use it
a procurement team gets supplier terms in another language and needs a version to read.
Watch out
no required box is documented for this action, so read what the editor asks before you map anything.
10

Identify Emotions Expressed in Text

Action

In Zapier“Examines the provided text and recognizes a range of emotional expression from joy to sadness and more.”

Goes one level deeper than sentiment: it spots the emotions in a text, from joy to sadness and beyond.

When to use it
a community manager sorts survey comments by the feeling behind them, not just good or bad.
Watch out
only the Text box is required, so map the exact passage you want read, not the whole record.
11

Explicit Content Detection

Action

In Zapier“Detects adult explicit content in images, that is generally inappropriate for people under the age of 18 and includes nudity, sexual activity and pornography ...”

Checks an image for adult content that is generally unsuitable for people under 18.

When to use it
a marketplace screens photos uploaded with new listings.
Watch out
it works on images through a link, not on text; use Moderate Text for words.
12

Face Compare

Action

In Zapier“Compare two faces and determine if they are the same person.”

Takes two pictures of faces and tells you whether they show the same person.

When to use it
a coworking space matches a member's selfie with the photo on file at signup.
Watch out
File 1 and File 2 are both required, each as a link to an image.
13

Face Detection

Action

In Zapier“Identifies human faces in digital images: position, sex, age, smile, glasses, etc.”

Locates human faces in an image and describes traits such as position, age, smile or glasses.

When to use it
a photo studio sorts shots with people from product-only images.
Watch out
these are personal attributes, so check your own privacy rules before storing them.
14

Financial Parser

Action

In Zapier“Extracts structured informations in financial documents.”

Pulls structured information out of financial documents in general, beyond invoices and receipts.

When to use it
an accountant receives mixed financial paperwork and wants one action to read all of it.
Watch out
the File box needs a link to the file, not the file itself.
15

Identity Parser

Action

In Zapier“Extracts structured informations in identity documents (passports, identity cards, driver license, etc.).”

Reads identity documents such as passports, ID cards and driving licenses, and returns their details as fields.

When to use it
a car rental desk checks customer documents sent during online booking.
Watch out
the Language box is required, and only PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG files go through.
16

Anonymize Image

Action

In Zapier“Anonymizes an image by removing faces, license plates, etc.”

Removes what identifies people in an image, such as faces and license plates.

When to use it
a real estate agency publishes street photos and has to remove faces and license plates first.
Watch out
File takes a link, so the image must be reachable by URL.
17

Image Generation

Action

In Zapier“Generate compelling images based on a given text prompt.”

Turns a written description into a picture. The more detailed the Text box, the closer the result gets to what you had in mind.

When to use it
a blog editor publishes a draft and wants a header visual proposed from its title.
Watch out
you must pick at least one provider in the Providers box before the first test can run.
18

Invoice Parser

Action

In Zapier“Extracts structured informations in invoices.”

Reads an invoice file and returns its contents as structured data instead of a flat picture.

When to use it
a bookkeeper wants supplier invoices dropped in a shared folder logged without retyping.
Watch out
files must be PDF, JPG, JPEG or PNG, and you can list several providers separated by commas.
19

Extract Keywords in Text

Action

In Zapier“Extracts the most important words and expressions in a text.”

Pulls out the words and phrases that carry the most weight in a text.

When to use it
an SEO writer drops interview transcripts into a folder and wants the key terms listed for each one.
Watch out
the Language box is required, so tell Eden AI which language the text is written in.
20

Landmark Detection

Action

In Zapier“Detects landmarks in an image.”

Recognizes well-known places and monuments in a photo.

When to use it
a travel blog tags reader-submitted photos with the place they show.
Watch out
the File box wants a link to the image, so a step that only carries the file itself leaves this action with nothing to read.
21

Detect Language of Text

Action

In Zapier“Detects language of text.”

Tells you which language a piece of text is written in, so the next step knows what to do with it.

When to use it
an international support desk routes each ticket to the agent who speaks that language.
Watch out
the Providers box is required even for this simple check.
22

LLM Chatbot

Action

In Zapier“generate human-like responses to various inputs and queries.”

Gives you finer control than Chat: you choose the model by name and pass a whole conversation as a list of roles and messages.

When to use it
a sales assistant needs replies that follow a set script with prior turns included.
Watch out
the Messages box expects JSON formatting, and the Model box needs an exact model name such as gpt-4o.
23

Logo Detection

Action

In Zapier“Detects logos in an image.”

Spots brand logos in an image.

When to use it
a sponsorship manager checks event photos to confirm that partner logos actually appear.
Watch out
the File box wants the image URL, so the previous step must give you a link.
24

Extract Named Entities in Text

Action

In Zapier“Identifies named entities in a text and classifies them into predefined categories.”

Finds the names of people, places, companies and other standard categories inside a text, and tags each one.

When to use it
a recruiter wants company names pulled out of cover letters before logging them.
Watch out
the categories are predefined, so for your own labels use the custom version below.
25

Detect Object in Image

Action

In Zapier“Identifies and locates objects in an image.”

Finds the objects in a picture and says where each one sits.

When to use it
a warehouse team photographs incoming pallets and wants a list of what is on each one.
Watch out
Providers and File are both required, and File takes a link.
26

Extract Text in Image

Action

In Zapier“Extracts text from images with OCR.”

Reads the text printed in an image, the classic OCR job, and hands it back as plain text.

When to use it
field technicians photograph equipment labels and the office wants the serial text captured.
Watch out
for multi-page PDFs, use the launch and fetch pair below rather than this one.
27

Get Multiple Pages Data Extraction Results

Action

In Zapier“Get Data Extraction results from your multiple pages with ID from "Extract Data from Multiple Pages" module.”

Collects what the multi-page extraction produced, using the public id the launch step gave you.

When to use it
right after Extract Data From Multiple Pages Documents, in the same Zap.
Watch out
the help text of its Public id box mentions the audio transcription step; map the id from the multi-page launch instead.
28

Extract Data From Multiple Pages Documents

Action

In Zapier“Extract Text data from multiple pages PDFs.”

Starts text extraction on a PDF with several pages. It launches the job; a second action collects the result.

When to use it
a property manager receives long signed leases and needs their text searchable.
Watch out
pairing it with the fetch action makes a multi-step Zap, so plan on a paid plan.
29

Question Answer

Action

In Zapier“the Question Answering generates an answer to the question based on the information present in the image.”

Answers a question from what an image shows, not from text.

When to use it
an insurance desk asks whether a damage photo shows a vehicle or a building.
Watch out
the image goes in the File box as a link, and Providers is required too.
30

Receipt Parser

Action

In Zapier“Extracts structured informations in receipts.”

Handles the smaller sibling of an invoice: shop and restaurant receipts, turned into structured fields.

When to use it
sales reps photograph their expense receipts and finance wants them captured on arrival.
Watch out
only PDF, JPG, JPEG and PNG are accepted; any other format needs converting first.
31

Resume Parser

Action

In Zapier“Extracts structured informations in resumes.”

Turns a candidate resume into structured information you can store and sort.

When to use it
a hiring manager wants every application from the careers page logged in the same format.
Watch out
Providers is required and accepts several names separated by commas, such as amazon, google, microsoft.
32

Analyze Sentiments in Text

Action

In Zapier“Identifies general sentiment of a text and returns positive, negative or neutral.”

Reads a message and labels its overall tone as positive, negative or neutral.

When to use it
a customer success team wants unhappy tickets raised before anyone reads the queue.
Watch out
when you filter on this result, use a text rule, since the label comes back as a word.
33

Get Audio Transcription

Action

In Zapier“Get transcription with ID from "Transcript Audio File into Text" module”

Fetches the finished transcript, using the public id returned by the transcription launch.

When to use it
as the step right after Transcript Audio File Into Text.
Watch out
launch plus fetch is two actions, so two tasks per recording and a multi-step Zap.
34

Transcript Audio File Into Text

Action

In Zapier“Transcripts spoken words from an audio into text using speech-to-text.”

Launches the transcription of an audio file into text. The result comes from a separate action.

When to use it
a sales team records discovery calls and wants written notes for each one.
Watch out
Providers, Language and File are all required, and several providers can be listed with commas.
35

Spell Check

Action

In Zapier“Analyzes the inputted text by and compares it to a dictionary of correctly spelled words to identify any spelling errors or grammatical mistakes.”

Compares a text against correct spelling and grammar and flags what looks wrong.

When to use it
a product team proofreads release notes before they go to the changelog.
Watch out
the Language box takes a language code, not a full language name.
36

Anonymize Text

Action

In Zapier“Anonymizes a Text by removing names, addresses, etc.”

Strips personal details such as names and addresses out of a text.

When to use it
a research team shares customer feedback with a vendor without exposing who wrote it.
Watch out
three boxes are required (Providers, Language, Text); map the language of the text, since it is one of them.
37

Generate Text

Action

In Zapier“Generates text based on a prompt given in input.”

Writes new text from the prompt you pass in, through the provider you pick in the Providers box.

When to use it
a new product lands in your catalog and needs a first product description for the marketing team to edit.
Watch out
Providers is mandatory, so decide which engine writes before you test.
38

Moderate Text

Action

In Zapier“Moderate a text by detecting explicit content.”

Screens a text for explicit content before it goes any further.

When to use it
a community forum checks new comments before they are shown publicly.
Watch out
Providers, Language and Text are required, so map the language even if it is always the same.
39

Summarize Text

Action

In Zapier“Extracts the most important sentences from a text in order to create a smaller version of the text.”

Keeps the most important sentences of a text and drops the rest, giving you a shorter version.

When to use it
a team lead wants a short digest of every long ticket instead of the full thread.
Watch out
it selects existing sentences rather than rewriting, so the summary keeps the original wording.
40

Generate Audio From Text

Action

In Zapier“Converts normal language text into speech.”

Reads a text aloud and produces a voice track, with a male or female voice set in the Voice box.

When to use it
a podcast producer wants an audio version of each written newsletter.
Watch out
four boxes are required here (Providers, Language, Text, Voice), more than most text actions.
41

Topic Extraction

Action

In Zapier“Extracts general topics in text.”

Says what a text is about in broad themes rather than single words.

When to use it
inbound partnership requests need routing to the right person based on their subject.
Watch out
Providers, Language and Text are all required, so a missing language stops the step.
42

Video Question Answering

Action

In Zapier“Answer questions based on the content of a video.”

Asks a question about a video and gets an answer drawn from its content.

When to use it
a training team checks whether each uploaded tutorial covers the safety step.
Watch out
both File (a link to the video) and Question are required.
When it breaks

When an Eden AI Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Eden AI, so the risks below are the general ones, applied to how this app works.

Most surprises come from the trigger side, since Eden AI depends on another tool to start. The rest come from file links and the launch-then-fetch pairs. If a Zap stalls anyway, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next stop.

  • Old files are never processed

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Invoices already in the folder stay untouched; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A Zap that keeps firing itself

If the Eden AI result is written back where the trigger watches, each write starts the Zap again and burns through your task count fast.
  • Bulk imports held back

A trigger that suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, can be held back by Zapier's flood protection.
  • No duplicates on polling

On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same file does not start the Zap twice.
  • File fields want a link

Every File box asks for a URL. If the previous step carries the file but no link to it, the Eden AI step has nothing to read.
  • Launch without fetch

OCR on multiple pages, transcription and redaction need a launch and a get action, linked by the public id. Skip the second and you have no result.

FAQ

Eden AI Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Eden AI Zapier integration free?
Yes, on the Zapier side. Eden AI is not an app Zapier keeps for paid plans, so it works on the Free plan, which gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The catch is the shape of the Zap: Free only builds two steps, one trigger and one action. As soon as you add a filter, a second action or a launch-then-fetch pair, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan.
02How many Zapier tasks does an Eden AI Zap use?
One task per Eden AI action that succeeds, and nothing for the trigger in the other app. A Zap that runs Analyze Sentiments in Text once per ticket uses one task per ticket. A Zap that launches a transcription and then fetches it uses two. An action that fails is not counted. Checking for new items costs nothing either, however often Zapier looks. Some apps and actions take more than one task, so watch the counter in your first days.
03Does Eden AI run in real time in Zapier?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, because Eden AI has no trigger of its own. If that app offers an instant trigger, Zapier hears about the event straight away whatever your plan. If it uses a polling trigger, Zapier checks on a timer: every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. Once triggered, the Eden AI action runs as the next step.
04What does it take to connect Eden AI to Zapier?
An Eden AI account, and access to any file you want the Zap to touch if you do not own it. The connection itself happens from the Apps page of Zapier: click + Add connection, search for Eden AI, confirm, then sign in to Eden AI in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. Some actions need more on your account, such as an existing AutoML project for AutoML Classification.
05Why does Eden AI have two actions for transcription and multi-page OCR?
Because those jobs are split into a launch and a fetch. Transcript Audio File Into Text starts the work and Get Audio Transcription collects it, using the public id from the first step. The same pattern applies to multi-page extraction and to document redaction. Both actions sit in one Zap, which makes it multi-step, so these jobs need a paid Zapier plan and use two tasks for every file you send.
06What if the Eden AI action you need is not on the list?
Check the 42 actions first, since Zapier's labels do not always use the everyday term: OCR is Extract Text in Image, resume parsing is Resume Parser, and background cleanup is Remove the Background of an Image. If the job is truly missing, Zapier offers no Eden AI trigger or search to fall back on. The practical route is to combine an existing action with a filter or a second action, keeping in mind that both make the Zap multi-step and need a paid plan.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Eden AI?
Decide on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, check three things: Eden AI only offers actions, so another tool must start each Zap; the free plan stops at two steps; and long jobs need a launch and a fetch, so a paid plan. Then compare how each platform handles your own starting app, the number of steps your workflow needs, the budget you set and how your team prefers to build.
