Kundenschreiber Zapier integrationAutomate Kundenschreiber with Zapier.
The Kundenschreiber Zapier integration gives you 2 actions, 0 triggers and 0 searches. It only works one way: another app starts the Zap, and Kundenschreiber mails a handwritten letter or creates a fresh QR code inside one of your campaigns.

What the Kundenschreiber Zapier integration actually does
Kundenschreiber produces personalized letters that look written by hand. Hooked to Zapier, it becomes the last step of an automation: something happens in another tool, and Kundenschreiber either posts a letter to an address or generates a QR code in an existing campaign. It never starts anything on its own.
Three results people build with it. First, a thank-you letter that leaves on its own: a new customer lands in your sheet or shop, and Send Letter mails them a note built from one of your templates. Second, a QR code per contact: Create QR-Code makes a unique code inside a campaign and points it at a page of your choice, a review page for example, so each recipient gets their own link. Third, the two together: create the code first, then send the letter in the same Zap, which makes it a multi-step Zap on a paid plan.
Now the honest part. Zapier offers no trigger for this app, so Kundenschreiber cannot tell another tool that a letter went out or that a code was scanned. There is no search either: a Zap cannot look up a sender, a template or a past letter. Everything you pick (the sender address, the template, the campaign) has to exist in your Kundenschreiber account before the Zap runs.
If you are weighing tools before you commit, the Make vs Zapier comparison is worth a read before you commit, and so is our Zapier review.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Kundenschreiber has none, so another app plays this role.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you, like mailing a letter.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance is a count of these.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it everywhere else.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something already stored in an app so later steps can use it. Kundenschreiber offers none.
What a Kundenschreiber Zap really costs
Kundenschreiber is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan Zap sizeTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
- BilledEach successful action, never the trigger
The trigger from your other app never costs a task, and neither does Zapier checking for new data. Each Kundenschreiber action that succeeds counts as one task; one that fails is not billed. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action, so creating a QR code and then sending a letter in the same Zap needs a paid plan. A filter that sends letters only to some contacts does too. If your trigger is a polling one, the free plan checks every 15 minutes.
Connect Kundenschreiber to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Kundenschreiber account linked once, then reused by every Zap that needs it.
- 02
Pick Kundenschreiber
Type Kundenschreiber in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Kundenschreiber sign-in page.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to your Kundenschreiber account in that tab and grant Zapier access. You need an account of your own, plus access to anything you did not create yourself but want the Zap to use.
Your first Zap: a handwritten thank-you for each new customer
GoalEvery time a row lands in your customer sheet, Kundenschreiber mails a letter to that person.
- 01
Start from the other app
Create a Zap and pick the app that starts it, here a spreadsheet where new customers arrive. Kundenschreiber has no trigger, so the first step always comes from somewhere else.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent rows of the connected account, so you map fields on a real customer rather than a blank.
- 03
Add Send Letter
Add Kundenschreiber as the action and choose Send Letter. Pick the sender and the template, then map street, postal code and city from the row.
- 04
Guard the addresses
A filter that skips rows without a postal code avoids wasted letters. It makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan; on the free plan, drop it and keep the sheet clean instead.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action once and check what came back, then click Publish. Only rows added after that moment will send a letter.
Kundenschreiber actions on Zapier

When a Kundenschreiber Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Kundenschreiber, so the traps below are the ones every Zap shares, applied to letters and codes.
Most problems come from the app that starts the Zap rather than from Kundenschreiber itself. If your case is not listed, our Zapier troubleshooting page is the next place to look.
No backlog
A Zap reacts only to what happens after you publish it. Customers already in your sheet get no letter; sending to them is a separate job.Missing address fields
Street, postal code and city are required by Send Letter. A source row with an empty field stops the step instead of sending a half-addressed letter.Bulk imports held back
If your trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back rather than mail everyone.Same row, one letter
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice and does not send a second letter.
