LaunchLemonade Zapier integrationAutomate LaunchLemonade with Zapier.

The LaunchLemonade Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger and 2 actions, and no search step. The trigger spots each newly onboarded client, and the two actions start one of your AI assistants, then fetch what it answered.

Overview

What the LaunchLemonade Zapier integration does

LaunchLemonade lets you build modular stores of AI apps, made of assistants you configure. Plugged into Zapier, it does two things: it tells your other tools when a new client is onboarded on your page, and it lets them start one of your assistants and collect its answer.

Three results come out of these three operations. First, a new client handed to your other tools: New Client Onboarded starts a Zap for each new client on your page, for instance to add them to a CRM or to an email sequence, the two uses LaunchLemonade itself suggests. Second, an assistant started from outside: Run an Assistant launches one of your existing assistants from any event Zapier can see. Third, an answer brought back into the Zap: Get Assistant Response retrieves the assistant's message so a later step can use it.

One detail to know before anything else: the only trigger works by polling. Zapier checks LaunchLemonade on a timer, every 15 minutes on the free plan, so a new client is not picked up the second they arrive.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no search step, no action that creates or edits an assistant, and no trigger other than the new client one. And getting an answer takes two actions, so a Zap that runs an assistant and then reads its reply is already a multi-step Zap. If you are comparing tools for this kind of flow, see our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier pages.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words cover the page. Explained once here, they come back without a reminder.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier keeps watching for it.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or launches something for you.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan allowance counts those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself as the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a LaunchLemonade Zap really costs

LaunchLemonade is open to the free plan. Zapier bills in tasks, and only actions that succeed are counted.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
  • Zap length on Free2 steps: one trigger, one action
  • Trigger and checks0 task
  • LaunchLemonade trigger1 polling, 0 instant

The trigger never costs a task, and the regular checks Zapier runs on LaunchLemonade cost nothing either, however often they happen. An action that fails is not counted. Each successful action counts on its own: running an assistant and then fetching its answer uses two tasks per new client. The free plan stops at two steps, so that pair of actions needs a paid plan. On the free plan the trigger is checked every 15 minutes; on Professional, every 2 minutes; on Team and Enterprise, every minute.

Connect

Connect your LaunchLemonade account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In Zapier, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a LaunchLemonade account, plus access to any assistant you do not own but want the Zap to run.

  2. 02

    Pick LaunchLemonade

Type LaunchLemonade in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens on the LaunchLemonade side, where you sign in.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to LaunchLemonade in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection is stored once, and every LaunchLemonade step of every Zap you build reuses it.

First Zap

Your first LaunchLemonade Zap

GoalFor each newly onboarded client, run one of your assistants and bring its answer back into the Zap.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, choose LaunchLemonade as the app that starts it and New Client Onboarded as the event, then pick your connection.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent onboarded clients so you can work on a real one. No client yet means nothing to map.

  3. 03

    Run the assistant

Add Run an Assistant and paste the Assistant ID taken from Developer Settings. That ID is the only way the action knows which assistant to start.

  4. 04

    Fetch the answer

Add Get Assistant Response and map the Response ID returned by the previous step. The assistant's message is then available to anything you add after.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once, read what came back, then click Publish. With two actions this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.

Triggers

The LaunchLemonade trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in LaunchLemonade. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Client Onboarded

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new client is onboarded to your page. You can use this trigger to set up additional email sequences or add it to your CRM.”

Starts the Zap each time a new client is onboarded to your LaunchLemonade page. It is the only door from LaunchLemonade into your other tools, and the details of that client become available to every step that follows.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one.
When to use it
when a new client should land in your CRM or start an email sequence without anyone copying their details by hand.
Watch out
clients onboarded before the Zap was published are never picked up. Zapier remembers the ones it has already seen, so the same client does not start the Zap twice.
Actions

The 2 LaunchLemonade actions

LaunchLemonade gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Get Assistant Response

Action

In Zapier“Use this Action to retrieve the message from an Assistant”

Retrieves the message an assistant produced, so a later step can send it, store it or post it elsewhere.

When to use it
right after Run an Assistant, whenever the assistant's answer is the whole point of the Zap.
Watch out
it needs the Response ID returned by Run an Assistant. On its own, without that earlier step, it has nothing to fetch.
2

Run an Assistant

Action

In Zapier“Kick off an existing Assistant from your LaunchLemonade account.”

Kicks off one of the assistants already set up in your LaunchLemonade account, from any event Zapier can see.

When to use it
when something happening elsewhere, a new client for example, should put one of your assistants to work.
Watch out
the Assistant ID is mandatory and only shows once Developer Mode is on in the assistant's settings.
When it breaks

When a LaunchLemonade Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article and no rate limit specific to LaunchLemonade. What breaks is what breaks on every polling Zap, plus the link between the two actions.

  • Nothing from before the Zap

A Zap only reacts to clients onboarded after it is switched on. Clients who were already there never come through; moving them is a separate job.
  • A delay that is not a bug

The trigger works by polling: on the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a new client can take that long to start the Zap.
  • No Response ID, no answer

Get Assistant Response needs the Response ID from Run an Assistant. Map it from that step, or the action has nothing to retrieve and fails.
  • Bulk arrivals held back

A trigger that suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, can be held back by Zapier's flood protection.

FAQ

LaunchLemonade Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the LaunchLemonade Zapier integration free?
Yes, within the limits of the free plan. LaunchLemonade is not a premium app, so it works with 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you like. The catch is length: the free plan builds Zaps of two steps only, one trigger and one action. A Zap that runs an assistant and then fetches its answer has two actions, so it needs a paid plan. Prices are not quoted here because Zapier changes them often.
02How many tasks does a LaunchLemonade Zap use?
One per successful action, on each run. The trigger costs nothing, and neither do the checks Zapier makes on LaunchLemonade, however frequent. A Zap that only runs an assistant uses one task per new client. A Zap that runs it and then retrieves the answer uses two. An action that fails is not counted, so a missing Response ID costs you a failed step, not a task. Count your actions before you publish.
03Does the LaunchLemonade trigger work in real time?
No. New Client Onboarded is a polling trigger: Zapier goes and checks LaunchLemonade on a timer. The interval depends on the plan, every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional, every minute on Team and Enterprise. The type is set by the app itself and cannot be switched to instant from the editor. On paid plans, a check can also be run by hand from the editor, which helps while you are testing.
04What does it take to connect LaunchLemonade to Zapier?
A LaunchLemonade account, plus access to any assistant you do not own but want to run. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, choose LaunchLemonade, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. The connection is saved once and then reused by every Zap you build. To run an assistant, you will also need its Assistant ID, which appears once Developer Mode is switched on in the assistant's settings.
05Where is the Assistant ID that Run an Assistant asks for?
In the assistant's own settings, but not right away. First switch on Developer Mode in the settings of the assistant. The ID then appears in Developer Settings, inside the Assistants tab. Copy it into the Assistant ID field of Run an Assistant. Without that ID the action cannot know which assistant to start, and the field is mandatory, so no Zap can run an assistant until that ID is filled in. Paste it once; the Zap reuses it on every run.
06What if the LaunchLemonade operation you want is not on Zapier?
Then this integration does not offer it. Zapier lists 1 trigger and 2 actions for LaunchLemonade: no search step, nothing to create or edit an assistant, and no trigger other than a newly onboarded client. Sometimes chaining the two actions covers the need: Run an Assistant starts the work, Get Assistant Response brings the result back, and any later step can use it. If not, the operation is simply missing from Zapier for now, and no Zap setting can add it.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for LaunchLemonade?
It depends on criteria, not on a winner. Zapier is available today with 1 polling trigger and 2 actions, and its free plan covers a two-step Zap. For Make or n8n, first check whether they offer a LaunchLemonade integration at all, then how each run is billed, how often a trigger is checked, and how many steps you need before a paid plan kicks in. Compare those points on your own case before you commit to one tool.
