LeadCars Zapier integrationAutomate LeadCars with Zapier.

The LeadCars Zapier integration gives you 4 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. Enough to react when a lead comes in, sells or gives GDPR consent, and to push new leads into LeadCars from your other tools. Here is what each piece does and costs.

Overview

What the LeadCars Zapier integration does

LeadCars is a lead management app built for the automotive trade, used in Spain and Portugal. The Zapier integration links it to the rest of your tools: LeadCars can start an automation when something happens to a lead, and other apps can create leads in LeadCars without anyone retyping them.

Three results you can build. First, a sales log that keeps itself: Lead Sold fires when a lead moves to the "Vendido" status, and the Zap writes it wherever you track closed deals. Second, a clean consent list: Contacts RGPD picks up contacts whose GDPR consent was validated, so only those reach your other tool. Third, a lead intake from outside: Create New Lead adds a lead to LeadCars, with its lead type and dealer, each time another app collects one.

The most flexible of the four triggers is New Action: you choose which LeadCars event it listens to, so one trigger covers events the others do not.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no search, so a Zap cannot look up an existing LeadCars lead before creating one, and the only action creates leads. Nothing updates or deletes a lead from Zapier. All four triggers work by polling, so nothing is instant. Before you commit, see our Zapier review and our Make vs Zapier comparison.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back all over this page. Here they are once, in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. LeadCars offers four of them.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Create New Lead is one.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The number on your plan is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your account on an app, linked to Zapier once and then reused by every step that touches that app.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What it really costs

LeadCars is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only actions spend them.

  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
  • Triggers4, all polling, never billed
  • What spends a taskEach action that succeeds

The four LeadCars triggers never cost a task, however often Zapier checks them. Each action that succeeds counts as one task, including Create New Lead; one that fails is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap that needs a paid plan. Since every LeadCars trigger works by polling, your plan also sets how quickly a Zap reacts, as the grid below shows.

Connect

Connect LeadCars to Zapier in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. In the dialog, search for LeadCars by name and pick it from the list of apps shown.

  2. 02

    Sign in to LeadCars

Click Add connection. A tab opens on LeadCars: sign in with the account whose leads the Zap should read or create. You need an account on the app, plus access to any dealer data you do not own yourself.

  3. 03

    Grant access

Allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection then appears on the Apps page, and every LeadCars step in your Zaps reuses it, so you do this once per account.

First Zap

Your first LeadCars Zap

GoalEvery lead that moves to the sold status in LeadCars and passes a filter is added to your spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Pick the trigger

Create a Zap, choose LeadCars as the starting app and Lead Sold as the event, then select the LeadCars connection you made earlier.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent sold leads from the account, so you map fields on a real sold lead rather than on an empty sample.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

From the plus icon, add a Filter step and set its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare with. The Zap becomes multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the action

Add the action of your spreadsheet tool, pick its connection, then map each field of the sold lead into the matching column of the new row.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back before moving on. When the row looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Triggers

LeadCars triggers on Zapier

4 events start a Zap when something happens in LeadCars. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

Contacts RGPD

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Contacts with RGPD validated to LeadCars”

Picks up contacts in LeadCars whose GDPR consent (RGPD in Spanish) has been validated, and hands each one to the next steps. It is the trigger to use when only consenting contacts may travel to another tool.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
feeding another tool that must only hold contacts who said yes.
Watch out
contacts validated before the Zap went live are not sent, so an older consent list has to be moved separately.
2

New Action

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when an action in LeadCars is executed. This zap is the most flexible option to trigger actions. Dispara una acción de Zapier cuando se ejecuta uno de los eventos disponibles en LeadCars (revisa las opciones disponibles).”

Fires when a chosen event is carried out in LeadCars. You pick which event in the step, which makes this the most open of the four triggers: one Zap per event you care about, without waiting for a dedicated trigger.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
when the event you need is not covered by New Lead, Lead Sold or Contacts RGPD.
Watch out
the action to listen to is required, and each Zap watches just the one you picked.
3

New Lead

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is created in LeadCars. Dispara una acción de Zapier cuando se genera un nuevo lead en LeadCars.”

Starts the Zap whenever a new lead appears in LeadCars, whatever its source, and carries its details into the following steps so you can copy it, notify someone or log it elsewhere.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
keeping a second tool up to date with every lead the account receives.
Watch out
never pair it with Create New Lead in the same Zap, or each created lead fires the trigger again and the loop eats your tasks.
4

Lead Sold

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a lead status is set to "Vendido" (sold). Se ejecuta la acción al pasar un lead al estado "Vendido".”

Reacts when a lead's status is switched to "Vendido", the sold status in LeadCars, and passes that closed lead on. It is the cleanest way to mark the end of a sale in another tool.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
logging every lead marked sold in a sheet or alerting the team that a deal closed.
Watch out
it reacts to the status change only, so leads already marked sold before publication never come through.
Actions

The LeadCars action on Zapier

LeadCars gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create New Lead

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new lead in LeadCars' associated account. Crea un nuevo lead en la cuenta de LeadCars a la que se asocie esta integración.”

Adds a lead to the LeadCars account tied to your connection, filled with values from the earlier steps, so a contact captured elsewhere lands straight in LeadCars, with no retyping.

When to use it
whenever another tool collects a prospect who belongs in LeadCars.
Watch out
lead type and dealer are both required; leave one empty and the step will not run.
When it breaks

When it breaks

Zapier ties no help article to LeadCars and no rate limit specific to the app is documented. What breaks here is what breaks on any Zap, with one loop that LeadCars makes easy.

Four situations explain most surprises, and none shows a clear error. Know them before you publish. If a Zap still misbehaves, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • No catch-up on past leads

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Leads, sales or consents recorded before that are never picked up; moving the backlog is a separate job.
  • New Lead plus Create New Lead

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches fires again and again. Creating LeadCars leads from New Lead does exactly that and burns tasks fast.
  • A sudden batch held back

After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger can suddenly return a huge batch, and Zapier's flood protection may hold those items back.
  • No duplicates on polling

On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same lead does not start the Zap twice between two checks.

FAQ

LeadCars Zapier integration: your questions

01Is the LeadCars Zapier integration free?
Yes, LeadCars is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. A Zap that copies each new lead or each sale to one other tool fits inside that. Add a filter or a second action and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. No price is quoted here, because the grids change too often to be worth publishing.
02How many tasks does a LeadCars Zap use?
None for the triggers: Contacts RGPD, New Action, New Lead and Lead Sold never cost a task, however often Zapier checks them. You pay one task for each action that succeeds, Create New Lead included, and nothing for one that fails. In a Zap with several actions, each successful action counts on its own, so a three-action Zap spends three times as much as a one-action Zap for the same number of leads.
03Is LeadCars real time on Zapier?
No. All four LeadCars triggers work by polling: Zapier asks LeadCars for new items at a fixed interval, and that interval depends on your plan. It is every 15 minutes on Free, every 2 minutes on Professional, and every minute on Team and Enterprise. The type is decided by the app and cannot be changed from the editor. On the paid plans, a check can also be run by hand from the editor when you need it sooner.
04What does it take to connect LeadCars to Zapier?
An account on LeadCars, plus access to any data you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. The connection is made once from the Apps page of your Zapier account with + Add connection, then you sign in to LeadCars in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. Every LeadCars step reuses that connection afterwards. Check that the account can see the dealers and lead types you plan to use.
05Why does Create New Lead refuse to run?
Most often because one of its two required fields is empty. Create New Lead needs both a lead type and a dealer, and without either the step stops. Pick them from the lists of the connected account, or map them from an earlier step when the source carries them. If the lists are empty, the account you connected probably cannot see those dealers. Test the step once before publishing and check in LeadCars that the lead arrived.
06What if the LeadCars operation needed is not on Zapier?
Then the integration cannot do it today, though New Action may cover part of the gap. That trigger lets you pick which LeadCars event starts the Zap, so it reaches events the three other triggers do not. On the action side there is only Create New Lead, and there is no search: a Zap cannot look up, update or delete an existing lead. Anything beyond that has to happen in LeadCars itself or through another route.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for LeadCars?
It depends on the criterion that matters to you, not on a ranking. On Zapier, the facts are known: four polling triggers, one action, no premium fee, and two-step Zaps on the free plan. To compare, check whether the other tool offers more LeadCars operations, such as a search or an update, whether its triggers react faster than a polling check, and how it counts usage against your plan. Weigh those three points against the job at hand.
