LeadIQ Zapier integrationAutomate LeadIQ with Zapier.
The LeadIQ Zapier integration holds 1 action, with no trigger and no search. That single action, Find Contact, takes a LinkedIn profile URL from another app and asks LeadIQ for that person's contact data. Here is how to use it well and what it costs.

What the LeadIQ Zapier integration is good for
LeadIQ is a prospecting platform that finds contact data for the people you want to reach. On Zapier it offers one thing: look up a person from their LinkedIn profile URL and return the data LeadIQ holds, so another step can store or use it, all without code.
Because the integration is a single action, every result comes from pairing it with another app. Three patterns come up. First, a prospect list that completes itself: a row with a LinkedIn URL lands in a spreadsheet, Find Contact asks LeadIQ for that person, and the next step writes the answer back. Second, CRM records enriched on arrival: a new contact in your CRM carries a LinkedIn URL, LeadIQ fills in what is missing, and an update step saves it. Third, a form that delivers a usable lead: a visitor leaves their LinkedIn profile, and the Zap fetches the rest before anyone opens the entry.
What Zapier does not do with LeadIQ: there is no trigger, so LeadIQ itself can never start a Zap, and nothing you change inside LeadIQ reaches other tools on its own. There is no search either, and no action to create or update anything in LeadIQ.
The catch for budgets: writing LeadIQ's answer somewhere needs a second action, which makes the Zap multi-step and paid. If you are still choosing a platform, see n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier.
Zapier vocabulary, briefly
Six terms explain the rest of the page.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. LeadIQ has none, so your Zaps always start in another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does once started: the step that fetches, writes or sends something for you, like Find Contact.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan counts these each month.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
What a LeadIQ Zap costs
LeadIQ is not a premium app, so the integration is available on the free Zapier plan.
- Find Contact1 task per successful lookup
- Free plan100 tasks per month
- Free plan Zap size2 steps
- Premium appNo
The trigger in your other app costs nothing. Find Contact counts as one task each time it succeeds, and a failed lookup is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month, but each Zap stops at two steps: a trigger and one action. A Zap that only runs Find Contact fits, but it saves nothing anywhere. Storing the answer in a sheet or CRM takes a second action, so the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan, and uses two tasks per person. LeadIQ has no polling trigger, so interval grids do not concern it directly.
Connect LeadIQ to Zapier
- 01
Open Apps
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your LeadIQ account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that calls Find Contact.
- 02
Pick LeadIQ
Search for LeadIQ in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. A new tab opens on the LeadIQ side so you can sign in with your own account rather than a shared one.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Log in to LeadIQ in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. You need a LeadIQ account, plus access to anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to use.
Your first LeadIQ Zap
GoalEach new row with a LinkedIn URL gets its contact data written back from LeadIQ.
- 01
Start in your spreadsheet
Click Create in Zapier and choose your spreadsheet app with its new-row event. LeadIQ has no trigger, so the Zap always opens in another app.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back up to three recent rows, so pick one that has a LinkedIn profile URL filled in and map from real data.
- 03
Add Find Contact
Add LeadIQ and the
Find Contactaction, select your connection, and map the LinkedIn URL column into the LinkedInUrl field. Test the step and read what LeadIQ returns. - 04
Write the result back
Add your spreadsheet's update-row action and map the data from Find Contact into the right columns. This second action makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish. New rows are enriched from now on; rows that existed before publishing stay as they are unless you process them separately.
LeadIQ action
LeadIQ gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Find Contact
ActionIn Zapier“Search for contact data”
Takes a person's LinkedIn profile URL and asks LeadIQ for the contact data it has on them, which the following steps can store or reuse.
When a LeadIQ Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to LeadIQ and documents no rate limit for it. The issues you will meet are Zapier's general ones.
Three cases explain most problems. When a Zap stops for another reason, see Zapier troubleshooting.
Existing rows are not processed
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Profiles already in your sheet or CRM are not enriched; handling that backlog is a separate job.Writing back can loop
If the Zap starts on updated rows and then updates the same row with LeadIQ data, it sets itself off again and again and burns through tasks fast.Big imports can be held back
Pasting a huge batch of profiles at once can make the trigger return a large batch, and Zapier's flood protection may then hold those runs back.
