Leadpages Zapier integrationAutomate Leadpages with Zapier.

The Leadpages Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. Leadpages starts Zaps, it never receives them: each form submitted on a page can feed any other tool. Here is how that trigger works, what it costs and where it trips up.

Overview

What the Leadpages Zapier integration actually does

Leadpages is a builder for landing pages, sign-up forms and other pages meant to convert visitors. On Zapier it has a single job: telling other tools that a visitor just filled in a form on one of your pages. Every submission can then go wherever your team actually works.

Three results come out of it. First, a running log of every submission: New Form Submission starts the Zap and a spreadsheet step adds one row per visitor, so the whole team reads the same list. Second, a sorted inflow: on a paid plan, a filter right after the trigger lets only the submissions that meet your condition go through, and the rest stop there. Third, no waiting, even on the free plan: the trigger is instant, so each submission leaves Leadpages as soon as the visitor sends it.

Now what Zapier does not do here. There is no Leadpages action: a Zap cannot create a page, edit a form or write anything back into Leadpages. There is no search either, so a Zap cannot look up an earlier submission. The integration is one-way, from Leadpages to the rest of your tools.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for it.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One action that completes successfully is one task, and your plan is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself, the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Leadpages Zap really costs

The Leadpages trigger never costs a task. You pay for what the Zap does next: one task per action that succeeds, and nothing for one that fails.

  • TriggerCosts nothing, ever
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, 2-step Zaps
  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan

Leadpages is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan: 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but two steps per Zap (one trigger, one action). One submission sent to one tool fits that exactly. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Each successful action counts on its own, so a submission sent to three tools uses three tasks. The trigger is instant, so the polling grid below does not slow it down.

Connect

Connect your Leadpages account in 3 steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Leadpages account linked once, then reused by every Leadpages step.

  2. 02

    Find Leadpages

Type Leadpages in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens on the Leadpages side.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Leadpages in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. You need a Leadpages account, plus read or write rights on anything you do not own and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Zap: keep only the submissions that matter

GoalEach Leadpages form submission that passes your condition becomes a row in your team spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, choose Leadpages as the app that starts it and New Form Submission as the event. Pick the connection you set up earlier.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent submissions of your account, so you map the next steps on a real one rather than on placeholders.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then fill three boxes: the field to look at, the rule and the value. A text rule only works on text, a number rule on numbers.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet step

Add your spreadsheet as the action and map the form fields into its columns. With three steps, this Zap needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back. When the row looks right, click Publish: the next submission goes through right away.

Triggers

Leadpages trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Leadpages, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Form Submission

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a visitor submits a form on a Leadpages page.”

Starts your Zap each time a visitor fills in and sends a form on one of your Leadpages pages, and hands what they typed to the steps that follow.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
whenever a sign-up on a page should reach a spreadsheet, a mailing tool or a team inbox without anyone copying it by hand.
Watch out
it only sees submissions sent after the Zap is published; earlier ones stay in Leadpages.
When it breaks

When a Leadpages Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Leadpages, so the cases below are the general traps, the ones that hit a Zap built on this trigger.

None of them shows during the test. They appear once real visitors start sending forms. If one bites, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Past submissions are never sent

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Forms sent before publishing stay in Leadpages and never reach the next tool.
  • A filter that never passes

Filter rules are typed: a text rule only works on text, a number rule on numbers. Picking the wrong one is why a filter never lets anything through.
  • A sudden flood gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch at once, Zapier's flood protection can hold the Zap back, after a bulk import or a migration for instance.
  • The free plan stops at two steps

Adding a filter or a second tool after the trigger makes the Zap multi-step. On the free plan, it cannot be published that way.

FAQ

Leadpages and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Leadpages Zapier integration free?
Yes, for two-step Zaps. Leadpages is not a premium app, so the free plan accepts it, with 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The free plan builds one trigger and one action: a submission sent to a single tool fits that shape exactly. Adding a filter or a second tool makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. No price is quoted here, because plan pricing changes too often to stay accurate.
02How many tasks does a Leadpages Zap use?
One task for each action that completes after a submission, and nothing for the trigger. If a visitor's form goes to one spreadsheet, that is one task per submission. If the same submission feeds three tools, that is three tasks, since every successful action counts on its own. A filter that stops the Zap means the actions after it never run, so nothing is billed for them. An action that fails is not counted either.
03Does Leadpages send form submissions to Zapier in real time?
Yes. New Form Submission is an instant trigger: Leadpages tells Zapier the moment a visitor sends a form, and the Zap starts straight away. The polling interval tied to your plan, every 15 minutes on the free one, does not apply to it. In the editor, a Zap built on an instant trigger shows a lightning bolt. That makes the free plan a good fit here: immediate runs, with no faster interval to pay for.
04What do you need to connect Leadpages to Zapier?
A Leadpages account, plus read or write rights on anything you do not own but want the Zap to touch. The connection is made from the Apps page of your Zapier account: add a connection, search Leadpages, sign in to it in the tab that opens, then grant Zapier access. Every Leadpages step then reuses that same connection, so you only set it up once per account, however many Zaps you build.
05Can a Zap send data back into Leadpages?
No. Leadpages offers no action on Zapier, so no step can create, change or delete anything in it. The integration only works one way: a visitor submits a form, Leadpages tells Zapier, and the next steps happen in other tools. If your process needs something written into Leadpages, it has to happen inside Leadpages itself. Plan your Zaps so Leadpages is always the starting point, never a destination, and pick the receiving tools with that in mind.
06What if the Leadpages operation you need is not there?
Then Zapier cannot do it for this app today. Leadpages offers a single trigger, New Form Submission, and nothing else: no action, no search, no other event. The editor only shows what Leadpages has published to Zapier, and a missing option cannot be added from your side, whatever your plan. In practice, Leadpages is always where a Zap starts, and every other move happens in the tools that come after it.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Leadpages?
It depends on your criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, Leadpages brings one instant trigger, which works on the free plan as long as each Zap stays at two steps. The deciding points are elsewhere: how many submissions you expect each month, whether you need conditions and branches, who will maintain the flows, and whether self-hosting matters to you. Weigh those against your own setup, and the forms you actually run, before choosing.
