Overview

What the Leadsrush Zapier integration does for you

Leadsrush is a lead generation tool: it finds the email addresses behind a company and checks whether an address is valid. On Zapier, it can start an automation when a new prospect lead or prospect company is added, and its searches can find or verify emails inside a Zap started by another app.

Three results people go for. A prospect list that keeps itself current: New Prospect Lead sends each new lead to a sheet or table the moment Leadsrush adds it. Only checked addresses downstream: when a step of your Zap carries an email address, Verify Email checks it first, so the tool that receives it gets the verdict alongside. Emails for a company, found on demand: when another tool hands your Zap a domain, Domain Search pulls the addresses Leadsrush knows for it.

What Zapier does not do here. Leadsrush has no actions on Zapier: a Zap cannot add a prospect, edit one or delete one inside Leadsrush. The three searches only read. And a search always sits in the middle of a Zap, so any Zap that uses one is multi-step, which rules out the free plan.

The upside: both triggers are instant, so new prospects reach your Zap without waiting for a timed check, whatever plan you are on. For a broader look at the platform, see the Zapier review, or the Make vs Zapier comparison if you are still choosing.

Vocabulary

Zapier terms, quickly

Eight words run through this page. Each one in a single line.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and reacts to nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action completed successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
Polling: Zapier asks the app for new items on a timer. Instant: the app tells Zapier itself the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the data that arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the steps that follow can use what it found.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A search, a filter or a second action makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Leadsrush Zap costs

Leadsrush is not a premium app, so its triggers work on the free plan. Its searches are another story.

  • Premium appNo
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
  • Trigger cost0 tasks
  • Using a searchMulti-step Zap, paid plan

The trigger never costs a task. Each action that succeeds after it counts as one, and an action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but every Zap is limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A Leadsrush trigger followed by one step in another app fits. The moment you add Verify Email or any other search, the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns polling triggers only; both Leadsrush triggers are instant.

Connect

Link your Leadsrush account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Start from Apps

In Zapier, open Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Leadsrush account linked once, then reused by every Zap that calls Leadsrush later on.

  2. 02

    Choose Leadsrush

Search for Leadsrush in the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. A separate browser tab then opens on the Leadsrush side, where the rest of the connection happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Leadsrush in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. You need a Leadsrush account of your own, plus access to anything you do not own that the Zap should read.

First Zap

Your first Leadsrush Zap

GoalCheck each new prospect lead's email before it reaches your spreadsheet

  1. 01

    Build: the trigger

Create a Zap, pick Leadsrush as the starting app and New Prospect Lead as the event, then select your Leadsrush connection.

  2. 02

    Test on a real lead

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent prospect leads in your account, so you map fields on real data rather than a guess.

  3. 03

    Add the verification

Click the plus icon, open the Action event list and pick Verify Email under SEARCH. Its one required field is Email: look for the lead's address in the trigger test and map it there. If the test shows no address, this Zap cannot work.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet

Add your spreadsheet as the action, choose the event that adds a row, and map the lead along with the verification result. Test it once.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch it on. With a search in the middle, this Zap is multi-step, so it runs on a paid plan only, never on the free one.

Triggers

Leadsrush triggers

2 events start a Zap when something happens in Leadsrush, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

New Prospect Company

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new prospect company added.”

Starts the Zap when a new prospect company is added in Leadsrush, and hands that company to the next step so it can be stored or looked into further.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
you track target companies in another tool and each new one in Leadsrush should show up there without a manual export.
Watch out
companies added before the Zap was published never come through; only additions from that moment on count.
2

New Prospect Lead

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new prospect lead added.”

Fires each time a new prospect lead is added in Leadsrush, carrying that person into the Zap so the following steps can check, store or share it.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
new leads should reach the people who follow them up at once, not after someone remembers to look.
Watch out
after a large batch of additions, Zapier's flood protection can hold part of the wave back.
Searches

Leadsrush searches

3 search steps look for data that already exists in Leadsrush, so a later step can use it.

A search step reads what Leadsrush knows and hands the result to the next steps. In the editor, the three searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Leadsrush offers no find-or-create variant: nothing can be created in Leadsrush from a Zap.

3

Verify Email

Search

In Zapier“Verify an Email”

Checks one email address with Leadsrush and returns the verdict, so the next step knows what it is dealing with.

When to use it
before an address goes into a list or a sending tool, to keep bad ones out.
Watch out
the email field is required; if the earlier step has no address, the search has nothing to check.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
On its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there, and the steps that depend on it are skipped. Switch it on and the Zap carries on empty-handed.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
This box turns a search into a find-or-create. No Leadsrush search offers it, since Leadsrush has no action to create the missing item.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or pass all of them on at once.
When it breaks

When a Leadsrush Zap breaks

Zapier ties no help article to Leadsrush, so these are the general failures any Zap can hit. They are also the ones people notice first.

Hardly any of them shows a clear error. The Zap simply goes quiet, stops halfway or runs more than planned. If yours still misbehaves after these checks, the Zapier troubleshooting page goes further.

  • Earlier prospects never arrive

A Zap reacts only to what happens after you switch it on. Leads and companies already in Leadsrush stay there; moving them is a separate job.
  • A search finds nothing

On its default setting, a search that comes back empty stops the Zap at that step, so the spreadsheet row is never written.
  • A big batch held back

When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.
  • The Zap that restarts itself

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches sets itself off again and again, and eats through your task count fast.

FAQ

Leadsrush Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the Leadsrush Zapier integration free?
Partly. Leadsrush is not a premium app, so a Zap with a Leadsrush trigger and one action in another app runs on the free plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps. The three Leadsrush searches are a different matter: a search always sits between other steps, which makes the Zap multi-step, and multi-step Zaps need a paid plan. No price is quoted here, because plan prices move too often to be worth publishing.
02How many tasks does a Leadsrush Zap use?
One task for every action that succeeds, and none for the trigger. A Zap that writes each new prospect lead into a spreadsheet spends one task per lead. Actions that fail are not counted, and waiting for Leadsrush to report a new lead costs nothing. Keep in mind that a few apps and a few actions take more than one task when they complete, so check the count on the receiving side as well.
03Does Leadsrush send prospects to Zapier in real time?
Yes. Both Leadsrush triggers, New Prospect Company and New Prospect Lead, are instant: Leadsrush tells Zapier the moment a prospect is added, and the Zap starts straight away. The interval grid of the plans does not apply, so the free plan gets the same speed as the others here. That behaviour comes from Leadsrush's own setup and cannot be changed in the editor, where these Zaps carry a lightning bolt.
04What does it take to connect Leadsrush to Zapier?
A Leadsrush account of your own, and access to anything owned by someone else that the Zap should read. In Zapier, open Apps, click + Add connection, search for Leadsrush and confirm with Add connection, then sign in to Leadsrush in the tab that opens and grant access. That single connection then serves every Leadsrush trigger and search in all your Zaps, so there is nothing to repeat when you build the next one.
05Why does People Search keep failing?
Most often because one of its three required inputs is missing. People Search needs a first name, a last name and a domain, each in its own field. If the step before it only carries a full name in one field, or no domain at all, the search has nothing to work with. When it then finds no one, the default setting stops the Zap at that point; switching on the no-results option lets the Zap carry on instead.
06What if the Leadsrush action you need does not exist?
Then this integration cannot do it as things stand. Leadsrush offers no actions on Zapier at all: there are two triggers that report new prospects and three searches that read data, nothing that writes into Leadsrush. A filter or another app's step can reshape what happens around those, but cannot add a Leadsrush action. Anything that must create or change data in Leadsrush needs another route or a request to Leadsrush.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Leadsrush?
It comes down to your criteria rather than a ranking. Zapier is quick to set up and the instant triggers react straight away even on the free plan. The trade-off appears with the searches: using one makes every Zap multi-step, so verification or lookups push you onto a paid plan and add to the task count. Make and n8n structure and bill multi-step flows differently, so compare them on your volume and the steps you need.
