Leadzen.ai Zapier integrationAutomate Leadzen.ai with Zapier.
The Leadzen.ai Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers, 2 actions and 1 search. Leadzen.ai finds emails and phone numbers from a LinkedIn profile URL; Zapier carries each unlock to your other tools. It is not a premium app, so the free plan covers it.

What the Leadzen.ai Zapier integration is good for
It connects Leadzen.ai, a service that reveals contact details from a LinkedIn profile URL, to the rest of your tools through Zapier, with no code. You build a Zap (an automation: one starting event, then the steps that follow) and it runs each time the event happens.
Three results are within reach. A running list of revealed emails: New Email Unlock picks up each email you unlock and drops it into a spreadsheet, so nobody copies addresses by hand. The same for phone numbers: New Phone Unlock passes every unlocked number to wherever your team calls from. Unlocks started from elsewhere: Unlock Email Details and Unlock Phone Details ask Leadzen.ai for the details using what earlier steps carry, and Simple Search finds a record by name first.
Now the limits. Both triggers are polling ones, so nothing arrives the second it happens: on the free plan Zapier checks every 15 minutes. There is no action to delete or edit an unlock. Zapier's app page documents no required field and no quota for this app, so test each step on a real record before trusting it. And unlocks made before the Zap was published are never picked up.
If those limits weigh on your plan, see our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons.
Zapier terms in plain words
Eight words show up on this page. Here is each one in a single line.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or changes something in an app for you.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan's quota is a count of those.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer: it asks the app for new items at a fixed interval and keeps only the unseen ones.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the steps after it can reuse what it found.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter, a search or a second action makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Leadzen.ai Zap costs in Zapier tasks
Zapier bills completed actions only. The two Leadzen.ai triggers cost nothing, and neither do Zapier's regular checks for new unlocks.
- Triggers and checks0 tasks
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2-step Zaps
- Paid plan neededNo, unless you add a search or filter
Each Unlock Email Details or Unlock Phone Details that goes through counts as one task; a failed one does not. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps. Add Simple Search or a filter and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Both triggers are polling, so the grid below applies: the interval sets how long an unlock can wait before your Zap sees it. On paid plans the interval can be changed and a check run by hand.
Connect your Leadzen.ai account in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need an existing Leadzen.ai account, plus access to anything on it you do not own and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Choose Leadzen.ai
Type Leadzen.ai in the search box of the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Leadzen.ai side so you can sign in to your account.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Leadzen.ai in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then appears in your list and every Leadzen.ai step of every Zap reuses it.
Your first Leadzen.ai Zap
GoalKeep a spreadsheet of every email you unlock in Leadzen.ai, but only the ones that pass your condition.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap, choose Leadzen.ai and New Email Unlock. It is a polling trigger, so Zapier checks for new unlocks on the interval of your plan.
- 02
Test it on real unlocks
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent unlocks of the connected account, which shows you exactly which fields Leadzen.ai sends.
- 03
Add a filter
From the plus icon, add Filter and set its three boxes: the field to check, the rule, the value. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet row
Pick your spreadsheet tool and the event that adds a row. Map the unlocked email and the other details from the trigger into your columns.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the row step once and look at what it wrote. If the columns line up with what you expected, click Publish to switch the Zap on.
The 2 Leadzen.ai triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Leadzen.ai. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Email Unlock
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new emailunlock is created.”
Starts your Zap each time a new email unlock appears in your Leadzen.ai account, and hands the unlocked address to the next steps. It turns a one-off lookup into a record that lives in your other tools.
New Phone Unlock
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new phone unlock is created.”
Reacts to each new phone unlock created in Leadzen.ai and passes the number along, so it reaches the place where calls actually get made. Useful when phone numbers are the scarce part of your prospect list.
The 2 Leadzen.ai actions
Leadzen.ai gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Unlock Email Details
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new unlockemaildetails, probably with input from previous steps.”
Asks Leadzen.ai to unlock email details from inside a Zap, using what the earlier steps carry, so you no longer start each lookup by hand in the app.
Unlock Phone Details
ActionIn Zapier“Creates a new Unlock Phone Details, probably with input from previous steps.”
Requests the phone details of a contact from Leadzen.ai as a step of your Zap, fed by the data earlier steps bring in, and returns them for the steps that follow.
The Leadzen.ai search
1 search step looks for data that already exists in Leadzen.ai, so a later step can use it.
A search step finds a record that already exists so the steps after it can use it. In the editor, it sits at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not clear-cut.
Simple Search
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a simplesearch based on name.”
Looks up an existing Leadzen.ai record from a name and hands what it found to the next steps. That is how a Zap that started elsewhere picks up Leadzen.ai data it did not carry.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and skips the steps that relied on it. Switched on, the Zap continues empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?On apps that offer it, this box turns a search into find-or-create. Leadzen.ai has no such variant, so Simple Search never creates anything.
- If multiple search results are found?Three options when several records match: keep the first one, the default, stop the Zap, or pass every match on at once.
When a Leadzen.ai Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Leadzen.ai and documents no limit specific to it. What breaks comes from the way Zapier itself works.
Four cases cover most of the surprises. When one shows up, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Earlier unlocks never appear
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is published. Unlocks already in Leadzen.ai stay out; moving that history is a separate job.The Zap that feeds itself
A Zap that writes into what its own trigger watches starts again and again. Starting on an unlock and unlocking in the same Zap is the risky pattern.A large batch gets held back
If the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk run of unlocks, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.A slow start on the free plan
Both triggers are polling. On the free plan, Zapier checks every 15 minutes, so a delay after an unlock is expected, not an error.
