Overview

What the Lennd Zapier integration does for your events

Lennd is a platform for festivals and live events that handles requests and approvals for passes, meals, inventory and the like. Connected to Zapier, it becomes the starting point of an automation: something happens in Lennd, and Zapier copies it into the tool your team already reads.

Three results people usually build first. A running log of arrivals: New Checkin drops every check-in into a spreadsheet that people without a Lennd login can read. A request inbox: New Form Submission sends each answer to a form into a shared channel or a task list, where someone picks it up. A sales trail: New Order and New Transaction copy what was ordered or paid into a file kept outside Lennd.

Now the part the official page leaves out. Lennd only speaks on Zapier, it never listens. There is no action and no search, so no Zap can create, update or look up anything inside Lennd. Every automation here goes one way, out of Lennd. If you hoped to push approvals or inventory changes back into the platform, this integration cannot do it, and you would have to handle that inside Lennd itself.

The four triggers are all polling triggers, so there is always a short wait between the event and the Zap (the cost block gives the grid). If you are weighing other platforms for the same job, see our n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier comparisons.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here is what each one means in plain terms.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something in another tool on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completed successfully, and your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer, Zapier asks the app for new items. An instant trigger is pushed by the app the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the data that arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Connection
Your Lennd account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap and every step that needs Lennd.
Cost

What a Lennd Zap really costs

Lennd is not a premium app, so it runs from the free plan. What you pay for is the work done after the trigger, never the trigger.

  • Premium appNo, works on the free plan
  • Tasks on the free plan100 per month
  • Cost of a Lennd trigger0 tasks
  • Steps allowed on the free plan2 (one trigger, one action)

The Lennd trigger costs nothing, however often Zapier checks. Each action that succeeds in the other tool is one task, and an action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. With Lennd as a trigger only, the free plan covers any flow that ends in one action.

Connect

Connect your Lennd account to Zapier

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. You need a Lennd account first, plus access to the events you want the Zap to watch if someone else runs them.

  2. 02

    Pick Lennd and add it

Type Lennd in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Lennd side, where the rest of it happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in to Lennd in that tab and allow Zapier to reach the account. The connection then shows up in your list, ready for every Lennd Zap you build later.

First Zap

Your first Zap: new check-ins logged in a spreadsheet

GoalEach time an attendee checks in at your event, add a row to a spreadsheet, but only for the check-ins that match a value you choose.

  1. 01

    Build: choose the trigger

Create a Zap, pick Lennd as the app and New Checkin as the event. Select your Lennd connection, then the event you want to watch in the required box.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent check-ins of the account, so you pick a real one and map fields from actual data instead of guesses.

  3. 03

    Add the filter

Click the plus icon, add Filter, then fill the three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value. A text rule only works on text, so pick the rule that matches the field.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet action

Add the action in your spreadsheet tool and map the check-in fields to its columns. Test the step and open the sheet to check that the row really arrived.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. Because of the filter this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan. Without the filter, the same Zap fits the free plan.

Triggers

The 4 Lennd triggers

4 events start a Zap when something happens in Lennd. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New Checkin

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new checkin is created.”

Starts the Zap whenever someone is checked in on an event you picked, and hands over that check-in so the next step can record or announce it.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
you want arrivals listed in a shared sheet that colleagues can read without logging into Lennd.
Watch out
the event box is required, so the connected account must be able to see the event before the trigger can be set.
2

New Form Submission

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new form submission is done.”

Fires on each answer sent through a Lennd form and passes the answers along, which turns a form into the front door of a request queue.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
requests for passes or meals arrive through a form and you want each one posted where the approver already works.
Watch out
you must pick both the event and the form, so the connected account needs access to that specific form.
3

New Order

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new order is created.”

Reacts to a fresh order in Lennd and gives the following steps its details, so an order never stays visible to one person only.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
the team handling inventory wants a line per order in its own list, without exporting from Lennd by hand.
Watch out
besides the event, you choose item types, and the Zap only starts when the order holds at least one of them.
4

New Transaction

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new transaction is made.”

Picks up each new transaction made in Lennd and carries it to another tool, which leaves a record of each transaction outside the platform.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
you keep a spreadsheet of transactions and want each new one added without copying it by hand.
Watch out
the event and the item types are both required, so a transaction on an item type you left out never starts the Zap.
When it breaks

When a Lennd Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to Lennd, so what follows are the general limits that hit any Lennd Zap.

None of these show up as an error the day you build the Zap. They surface later, when someone notices a missing row. If you are stuck on one, open our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Past check-ins are never picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Check-ins or orders recorded before that stay in Lennd, and moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A bulk import gets held back

If a large batch of orders or check-ins lands at once, for example after an import, Zapier's flood protection can hold the trigger back instead of running every item.
  • The same item does not run twice

On a polling trigger Zapier remembers what it has already seen. An item it has already handled will not start the Zap a second time.
  • A loop burns your tasks

A Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches sets itself off again and again. No Zap can write into Lennd, so a Lennd trigger cannot loop on itself: the risk only exists in Zaps that start from another tool.

FAQ

Lennd Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the Lennd Zapier integration free?
Yes, as long as the Zap stays at two steps. Lennd is not a premium app, so the free plan accepts it, with 100 tasks a month and Zaps made of one trigger and one action. The Lennd trigger itself never costs anything. The moment you add a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and you need a paid plan. For a single flow such as check-ins into a sheet, the free plan is enough to start.
02How many tasks does a Lennd Zap use?
One task per action that completes in the other tool, and nothing for the Lennd side. Zapier never bills the trigger, nor the checks it runs to look for new check-ins or orders. A Zap that sends each new order to one spreadsheet uses one task per order. If the action fails, the task is not counted. With three actions after the trigger, each successful one counts on its own, so the same order would cost three tasks.
03Does Lennd send data to Zapier in real time?
No. All four Lennd triggers are polling triggers: Zapier asks Lennd for new items on a timer. On the free plan that check runs every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2 minutes, and on Team and Enterprise every minute. The type depends on how Lennd built its side and cannot be switched in the editor. On paid plans you can also run a check by hand from the editor when you want to see a fresh item now.
04What does it take to connect Lennd to Zapier?
A Lennd account and access to the events the Zap will watch. Open Apps in Zapier, click + Add connection, search for Lennd, then sign in and grant access in the tab that opens. Every trigger asks for an event in a required box, so if the account cannot see that event, the list stays empty. For forms, orders and transactions you also need access to the form or the item types you will select.
05Why does a Lennd order Zap ignore some orders?
Because New Order only starts when the order contains at least one of the item types you selected. Any order made only of other item types is skipped without warning. The same logic applies to New Transaction, which also asks for item types. Open the trigger, review the item types box and add the ones you left out, then test again. Orders placed before the change will not come back, since a Zap never picks up past items.
06What if the Lennd operation you need is not there?
Then Zapier cannot do it for Lennd today. The integration only offers four triggers: no action can write into Lennd and no search can look something up there. Updating a request, approving a pass or changing stock has to happen inside Lennd. What Zapier can do is carry the four events out to other tools, where their own actions and searches take over. If the missing piece is on the other side, check that app's operations instead.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Lennd?
It depends on your criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier, Lennd offers four polling triggers that work from the free plan. If you need to write back into Lennd, no Zapier operation does it, so compare what the other platforms list for the same app before choosing, and check whether the steps you plan after the trigger still fit the free plan. Hosting, price per run and how much control you want over each step are the other criteria to weigh.
