Levitate Zapier integrationAutomate Levitate with Zapier.
The Levitate Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 3 actions and 0 searches. Levitate never starts a Zap: another app does, and Levitate receives the data. It runs on the free plan. Below: what each action does, what it costs, and where it trips.

What the Levitate Zapier integration actually does
Levitate is a relationship platform: communication tools, success specialists and AI meant to keep long-term relationships alive. The Zapier integration only writes into it. Another app starts each Zap, and Levitate receives a contact, a donation or a policy, created or updated from that data.
Three results worth building first. Donations recorded as they arrive: a form or another tool starts the Zap, and Create a Donation logs the donor's name, email and amount in Levitate. One contact list across two systems: Create or Update Levitate Contact keeps each person in Levitate in step with the system of record, matched on its own ID. Policies that mirror the source: Create/Update a Policy creates the policy in Levitate or refreshes it when the source changes.
What Zapier does not do here matters as much. Levitate has no trigger, so nothing that happens inside Levitate can start a Zap: no new contact, no reply, no change. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot look up a contact in Levitate before writing. Every step relies on the IDs and values the other app carries, so the quality of your Levitate data is the quality of that source.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back all along this page. Here they are, in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. Levitate has none, so the trigger always comes from another app you connect.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes something for you, like a donation recorded in Levitate.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of tasks.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier checks an app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier itself. It depends on the trigger app here.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Levitate account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that writes to Levitate.
What it really costs you
Levitate is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The trigger of the other app never costs a task, and neither do Zapier's checks.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on free2 steps: one trigger, one action
- Premium appNo, Levitate works on free
Only an action that succeeds is billed: each contact, donation or policy written to Levitate is one task, and an action that fails is not counted. In a Zap with several actions, every success counts on its own, so three actions use three times what one does. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. If the trigger app polls, its check interval follows the grid below.
Connect Levitate to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. In the dialog that opens, type Levitate in the search box and pick it from the results.
- 02
Sign in to Levitate
Click Add connection. A tab opens on Levitate: sign in with the account the Zap should write contacts, donations or policies into. You need a Levitate account before you start.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to access the account. The connection is saved once, then every Levitate step of every Zap reuses it. Anything you do not own yourself needs write rights on your side first.
Your first Zap: record each donation from your form
GoalEach new submission of your donation form becomes a donation in Levitate, with the donor's name, email and amount.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap, pick your form tool as the app that starts the Zap, and choose its new submission event. Connect the form account if it is not linked yet.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test so Zapier brings back recent submissions. Pick one that has a name, an email and an amount filled in: you will map from it.
- 03
Add a filter on a paid plan
With Filter, set a field, a rule and a value so only the submissions you want reach Levitate. This makes the Zap multi-step; on free, leave it out.
- 04
Add Create a Donation
Pick Levitate, then Create a Donation, and your Levitate connection. Map Donor Name, Donor Email and Donation Amount, all required.
- 05
Test the action
Run the action test and read what Levitate sends back. A successful test writes a real donation, so check it in Levitate afterwards.
- 06
Publish
Click Publish. Each new submission now becomes a donation in Levitate; submissions sent before publishing are not picked up.
The 3 Levitate actions
Levitate gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

When a Levitate Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Levitate and lists no app-specific limit. What trips people up are Zapier's general rules, applied to the trigger app.
Three of them hit this integration directly. When a Zap misbehaves, check these before blaming the connection, and keep the Zapier troubleshooting page at hand.
The backlog stays where it is
A Zap reacts only to what happens after you publish it. Donations, contacts or policies that existed before never reach Levitate; moving them is a separate job.A bulk import gets held back
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it instead of writing everything.Nothing is sent twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice and Levitate does not get a duplicate.
