Linguin AI Zapier integrationAutomate Linguin AI with Zapier.
Linguin AI Zapier integration: 0 triggers, 2 actions, 0 searches. Linguin AI tells you which language a text is written in. On Zapier it never starts anything itself: another app passes it the text, Linguin AI names the language, and the next step acts on it.

What the Linguin AI Zapier integration does
With the Linguin AI Zapier integration, a Zap (one automation you set up once on Zapier) hands a text to Linguin AI and gets back its language. Linguin AI has no trigger, the event that starts a Zap, so the text always comes from another app first. Linguin AI is used as an action: the step that does the work once the Zap runs.
Three things you can get out of it. Incoming emails tagged with their language: Detect Language reads the body and returns the language, so the next step can route the message to whoever reads it. A language column filled in a spreadsheet, row after row, with the same action. And a whole list checked in one step with Bulk Detect Languages, when a single record carries several texts and you want each one identified.
The detail that saves rework: Detect Language expects one text. To check several different texts, the field itself points you to Bulk Detect Languages, so pick the right action before mapping anything.
What Zapier does not do here: it cannot watch Linguin AI for anything, since there is no trigger, and it cannot look anything up in it, since there is no search. Linguin AI answers one question, which language, and that is all. If you are still weighing Zapier itself, our Zapier review is the place to start.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words from the editor, in ordinary English.
- Zap
- One automation on Zapier: a trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts a Zap. Linguin AI has none, so another app always plays that part.
- Action
- The step that does something once the Zap is running. Both Linguin AI operations are actions that return a language.
- Task
- What Zapier counts on your plan: one action that completes successfully. An action that fails is not counted.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier asks the source app for new items on a timer. Instant: the app tells Zapier the moment something happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived matches your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Linguin AI account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that calls Linguin AI in any Zap.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action is enough to make one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a Linguin AI Zap really costs
The trigger is free, and each detection that goes through is one task.
- Trigger0 tasks
- Each successful detection1 task
- Action that fails0 tasks
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2 steps per Zap
Zapier bills tasks, and a task is an action that succeeds. Watching for new items costs nothing, and a failed action is not counted. Linguin AI is not reserved to paid plans, so it runs on the free plan: 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps. The free plan stops at two steps, though. Detect the language, then route or store the text, is two actions: that Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan, as does any filter on the language. The grid below only applies if the app that sends the text uses a polling trigger; Linguin AI has none, and an instant trigger skips it whatever your plan.
Connect Linguin AI to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box. You need a Linguin AI account first: Zapier only links an account that already exists.
- 02
Pick Linguin AI
Type Linguin AI in the search box, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Linguin AI side, and that is where the actual sign-in happens.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Linguin AI in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection then shows up in your list, and every Linguin AI step of every Zap can reuse it.
Your first Zap: tag the language of incoming emails
GoalEvery new email goes through Linguin AI, a filter checks the language it got, and the ones that pass are logged in a spreadsheet row.
- 01
Build: start from your inbox
Create a Zap and pick your email app as the trigger, with its new-email event. Linguin AI cannot be the first step, so the text has to come from somewhere else.
- 02
Test the trigger on a real email
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent emails of the connected account, so you map fields from a real message instead of a guess.
- 03
Add Detect Language
Add Detect Language from Linguin AI and map the email body into Input. Test it once to see the language it returns for that message.
- 04
Add the filter, then the row
Add a filter: the field is the language Linguin AI returned, then pick a rule and a value. After it, a spreadsheet step writes the email and its language into a new row.
- 05
Test each step, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back, then click Publish to switch the Zap on. With a filter and two actions, this Zap needs a paid plan.
Linguin AI actions on Zapier
Linguin AI gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Bulk Detect Languages
ActionIn Zapier“Detects the language of a list of given inputs”
Takes a list of texts in one go and returns the language of each, so a record that carries several passages gets all of them identified in a single step.
Detect Language
ActionIn Zapier“Detects the language of a given input”
Reads one piece of text and hands back the language it is written in, ready for a filter or the next action to use.
When a Linguin AI Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Linguin AI, so the traps come from how Zapier itself works.
Four cases come back again and again once a detection step sits in the middle of a Zap. None is specific to Linguin AI, and each one costs tasks or leaves texts unchecked. If a Zap stops for a reason you cannot place, head to Zapier troubleshooting.
Old emails are never checked
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Texts already in your inbox or sheet get no language; moving that backlog is a separate job.The Zap that feeds itself
If the last step writes the language back into the place the trigger watches, each write can start the Zap again, and every loop burns another task.A bulk import gets held back
After an import or a migration, the trigger app can return a huge batch at once. Zapier's flood protection can hold it back rather than send every text through. No double detection
On a polling trigger, Zapier remembers the items it has already seen, so the same email or row does not start the Zap a second time.
