What the Logistia Route Planner Zapier integration actually does
Logistia Route Planner is a last mile tool: you load orders, it builds optimized routes for your drivers. The Zapier integration links it to the rest of your tools, in both directions. Logistia can start an automation when an order or a route changes, and another app can push an order into Logistia without anyone retyping it.
Three results come up again and again. First, an order log that keeps itself up to date: New Order, Edit Order and Delete Order each feed a row somewhere else, so the office sees the same list as the planner. Second, a heads-up the moment a route exists: Route Generated tells the person waiting on the plan that it is ready. Third, orders that arrive from outside: an order form or a shop sends its details to Create or Update Order, which adds the order or updates it when the Id or the Order Number already exists.
The delivery side follows the same idea. ETA Order Update, Order Delivered and Delivery Proof Added let another tool react when the plan moves or the drop is done.
What Zapier does not do here: there is no search step for Logistia, so a Zap cannot look up an existing order before acting, and there is only one action. Nothing deletes an order, nothing generates a route on request. If that matters, compare the options in n8n vs Zapier and Make vs Zapier before you build.
Zapier words, in plain English
Seven words cover everything on this page. Read them once, the rest follows.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully; your plan counts those.
- Instant vs polling
- An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Logistia account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to Logistia.
What a Logistia Zap really costs
Logistia Route Planner is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. The trigger never costs a task: only an action that succeeds is counted.
- Premium appNo, free plan works
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Trigger cost0 tasks
- Instant triggers7 out of 7
The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only: one trigger, one action. Add a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. An action that fails is not counted, and waiting for Logistia events costs nothing. The interval grid below applies to polling triggers only; all seven Logistia triggers are instant, so it never slows any of them down.
Connect your Logistia account in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. You need a Logistia account first, plus access to any orders you do not own and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find Logistia Route Planner
Type the app name in the dialog, pick Logistia Route Planner from the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the Logistia side for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Logistia in that tab and allow Zapier to use the account. The connection then shows on the Apps page, ready for every Zap you build with Logistia.
Your first Zap: a live order log
GoalEvery new Logistia order lands as a row in your spreadsheet, but only the ones that pass the condition you set.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap in Zapier. Pick Logistia Route Planner as the trigger app, then New Order as the event that starts the Zap.
- 02
Pick your connection
Choose the Logistia connection you added earlier. Since the trigger is instant, Logistia will warn Zapier itself each time an order is created.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent orders of the account, so you map the next steps on a real one rather than an empty shape.
- 04
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, add Filter, then set the field to look at, the rule and the value. A filter makes this a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Add the row and publish
Add your spreadsheet step, map the order fields into the columns, test it, then click Publish. Only orders created from now on will show up.
Logistia Route Planner triggers
7 events start a Zap when something happens in Logistia Route Planner, and 7 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new order is created.”
Starts the Zap as soon as an order is created in Logistia, whether someone typed it or another tool sent it. The order details then travel to the next step, ready to copy into a log, a message or a billing tool.
Delete Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a order is deleted.”
Fires when an order disappears from Logistia. It is the only way for another tool to learn that a stop was dropped, since nothing else in this integration reports removals.
Delivery Proof Added
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new delivery proof is added.”
Reacts when a driver attaches a delivery proof to an order. This is the closest thing to a signed receipt the integration offers, and it arrives as its own event rather than as a status change.
Edit Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a order is edited.”
Fires whenever an existing order is changed in Logistia. Use it when a copy of the order lives somewhere else and must not drift from the original after an address fix or a new date.
ETA Order Update
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a order eta is modified.”
Starts when the estimated arrival time of an order moves. A late van or a reshuffled route changes the ETA, and this trigger hands the new time to whatever step comes next.
Order Delivered
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a order delivery status is changed”
Fires when the delivery status of an order changes. In practice it is the signal that a stop has been handled, and the cue for anything that should happen once the parcel is out of the van.
Route Generated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new route is generated.”
Fires when Logistia finishes building a new route. This is the moment the plan of the day exists, and the event carries it to the next step so the drivers and the office are not waiting on a screen refresh.
Logistia Route Planner action
Logistia Route Planner gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Create or Update Order
ActionIn Zapier“Place a new order to Logistia or update one using Id or Order Number”
Places a new order in Logistia, or updates one when you give it an existing Id or Order Number. One action covers both cases, so the Zap does not need to know in advance whether the order exists.
When a Logistia Zap breaks
Zapier publishes no help article for this app, and no app-specific limit is on record. The traps below come from how every Zap behaves.
Most failures are not bugs: the Zap does exactly what it was told, at a moment nobody expected. For other cases, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Old orders never show up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Orders already in Logistia stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.The Zap keeps firing itself
Edit Order plus Create or Update Order on the same order is a loop: the update is an edit, which starts the Zap again and burns tasks.A bulk import goes quiet
When a huge batch of orders arrives at once after an import, Zapier's flood protection can hold the batch back instead of running each one.An order is rejected
Create or Update Order stops when a required field is empty. The failed attempt costs no task, but the order is still missing in Logistia.
