Lucidya Zapier integrationAutomate Lucidya with Zapier.
The Lucidya Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. That one trigger, simply called Lucidya, starts your Zap each time Lucidya generates an alert notification, and the next step carries it to the tool your team already reads.

What the Lucidya Zapier integration does for you
Lucidya is a customer experience analytics platform: it reads large volumes of digital conversations and turns them into insight about your customers. On Zapier it only speaks outward. Its single trigger fires when Lucidya produces an alert notification, and every step after it belongs to another app.
Three outcomes cover most of what people build. An alert nobody misses: the Lucidya trigger feeds a message into your team chat, so the people who should react see it where they already work. A running alert log: the same trigger adds a row to your spreadsheet, which gives you a history to review later (one trigger, one action, so it fits the free plan). A follow-up someone owns: the alert opens a ticket or a task in the tool your team works from, with the alert details mapped into it.
Now the limits. Zapier cannot write anything back into Lucidya: there are no actions, so a Zap never creates, updates or closes an alert there. There are no searches either, so a Zap cannot look up an older alert. The trigger also asks for an Alert_ID, a required field that tells it which alert to listen to. And alerts produced before the Zap was switched on are not replayed.

Zapier words in one minute
Seven words come back on every Zapier page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it. Lucidya offers exactly one.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. With Lucidya, it always lives in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One action that completes successfully is one task, and your plan counts nothing else.
- Polling vs instant
- Zapier checks a polling trigger on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a Lucidya Zap costs in tasks
The Lucidya trigger never costs a task, however many alerts it receives. Only the actions after it count, one task each time one succeeds. Lucidya is not a premium app, so the free plan accepts it.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- Trigger cost0 tasks
- Trigger typeInstant
The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps: one trigger, one action. Alert to chat message fits that. Add a filter, or a second action such as a spreadsheet row next to the message, and the Zap turns multi-step, which needs a paid plan; that version spends two tasks per alert. A failed action is not counted. The grid below shows how often Zapier checks polling triggers on each plan; it does not apply to the Lucidya trigger, which is instant.
Connect Lucidya to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Lucidya account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that needs it.
- 02
Find Lucidya
Type Lucidya in the search box of the dialog, pick it, then click Add connection. You need a Lucidya account, plus access to the alerts you want the Zap to follow if someone else owns them.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
A tab opens on Lucidya. Sign in with your account and grant Zapier access. The new connection then shows up in the trigger step, ready to be picked from the list.
Your first Zap: the right alerts, straight into chat
GoalEach Lucidya alert notification that meets your condition is posted to your team chat channel.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap in the Zapier editor. Choose Lucidya as the app that starts it, pick the Lucidya event, then select the connection you just added.
- 02
Set the alert and test
Enter the Alert_ID and the Verification Key, then run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items from your account; pick a real alert for mapping.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon and add Filter. Fill in the field to look at, the rule and the value. Use a text rule on text and a number rule on numbers, or it never passes.
- 04
Add the chat action
Add your team chat app as the action, choose the event that sends a message, pick the channel, then map the alert details from the trigger into the message text.
- 05
Test and publish
Test the action and read the message in the channel. If it looks right, click Publish. With the filter this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
The Lucidya trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Lucidya, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Lucidya
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new Alert Notification is generated, whether it is on an hourly or instant basis.”
Starts your Zap whenever Lucidya generates a new alert notification for the alert you picked, whether that alert is set to hourly or instant on the Lucidya side. The details of the alert then flow to the next step, ready to map into a message, a row or a ticket.
When a Lucidya Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Lucidya and records no limit of its own for it. What goes wrong is what goes wrong on any Zap, plus the setup of the trigger.
Three cases come up, each with a plain fix. For anything else, start with Zapier troubleshooting.
The Verification Key breaks the rule
Alert_ID and Verification Key are both required. A key shorter than 10 characters, longer than 100, or with symbols, accents or spaces breaks that rule, so fix the key before anything else.Older alerts never arrive
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Alerts generated before that stay in Lucidya; moving that history is a separate job.A burst of alerts gets held back
If a sudden wave of notifications reaches Zapier at once, its flood protection can hold the batch back instead of running every alert through the Zap.
