Why connect Luxury Referrals to Zapier
Luxury Referrals is a marketing suite that helps real estate agents bring in leads and keep them organised. Zapier links it to your other tools through a Zap: an automation that starts on one event, then runs one or more steps every time that event happens. The event here is a lead being created.
One trigger, New Lead, does all the work. Three results are worth building on it.
A follow-up that cannot slip. Each new lead opens a task in your task manager so the next call is never left to memory. A single address book. The lead also lands as a contact in your CRM, next to everyone you already work with. A heads-up for the team. A message in your team chat tells colleagues a new lead just came in.
Here is what the integration does not do. Zapier cannot write into Luxury Referrals: there is no action, so no Zap updates a lead, changes its stage or adds a note. There is no search, so a Zap cannot find a lead that already exists. Data leaves Luxury Referrals and never comes back in, and leads created before the Zap is published are not picked up. Zapier also flags the app as beta, which is worth knowing before you rest a key process on it.

The Zapier terms you need, in one minute
Seven words keep coming back below. Here is each one, once, in everyday English.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts a Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and does nothing before it.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in another app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier charges: one action completed successfully. Your plan's allowance is counted in tasks.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items and keeping only those it has not seen before.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports itself, calling Zapier as soon as the event happens. That is how Luxury Referrals works.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only if what arrived meets your condition, and stops it there if not.
- Connection
- Your Luxury Referrals account, linked to Zapier once and reused by every Zap that starts from it.
What it really costs you
The trigger is free. Zapier never charges for listening to Luxury Referrals, however many leads come in. You only pay for the actions your Zap completes in other tools.
- TriggerFree, never counted as a task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps, two steps per Zap
- Premium appNo, available on the free plan
Each action that succeeds counts once: a Zap with three actions uses three times as much as one with a single action, and a failed action is not counted. Luxury Referrals is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan, which allows Zaps of two steps, the trigger and one action. A filter, a search or a second action makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns polling triggers only; the instant Luxury Referrals trigger is not affected by it.
Connect Luxury Referrals to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Go to Apps
From your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. Type Luxury Referrals into the dialog's search and select it. A Luxury Referrals account is required before going further.
- 02
Sign in on Luxury Referrals
Click Add connection. A tab opens on Luxury Referrals: sign in with the account where your leads are created. If some leads belong to a colleague, make sure your account can read them.
- 03
Grant access
Approve the access Zapier requests. The tab closes and the connection shows in your Apps list, reused by every Zap that starts on Luxury Referrals without a fresh sign-in.
Your first Zap: a follow-up task for every lead
GoalWhen a lead is created in Luxury Referrals, open a follow-up task in your task manager so someone calls back.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap from your Zapier account. The editor opens on an empty trigger card, because every Zap begins with the event that starts it.
- 02
Set the trigger and test it
Search Luxury Referrals, pick
New Leadand your connection. Run the test: Zapier fetches the three most recent items of your account so you work on a real lead. - 03
Add the task
Add a step with your task manager and its create-task action. Put the lead's details in the task title and description so whoever picks it up has the context.
- 04
Add the chat message
Add a second action that posts in your team chat. Two actions make the Zap multi-step, so this one requires a paid plan.
- 05
Test and publish
Test each step and check the task and message that came out. When they look right, click Publish: the Zap is live and waits for the next lead.
The Luxury Referrals trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Luxury Referrals, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Lead
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is created.”
Kicks off your Zap as soon as a lead is created in Luxury Referrals. The lead's information travels with it, so the next steps can file it, assign it or announce it without retyping.
When it breaks
Zapier links no help article to Luxury Referrals and records no limit specific to the app. The problems you may hit come from Zapier's general behaviour.
Four cases deserve a look before you publish, since none of them announces itself as a clear error. When a Zap still acts up, the Zapier troubleshooting page is where to go next.
Leads from before stay behind
A Zap only reacts to what happens once it is switched on. Leads created earlier are never picked up, and moving them is a separate job.A mass import is held back
If a huge batch of leads appears at once, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the run back rather than fire for each one.Free plan stops at two steps
A second action, a filter or a search turns the Zap multi-step. On the free plan you can only publish the trigger followed by one action. No self-triggering loop here
A Zap that writes where its own trigger watches restarts itself endlessly. Zapier cannot write into Luxury Referrals, so that loop cannot begin here.
