MagicSlides Zapier integrationAutomate MagicSlides with Zapier.
The MagicSlides Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. It never starts a Zap by itself: another app hands over a topic or a block of text, and MagicSlides turns it into a full PPT presentation.

What the MagicSlides Zapier integration does for you
MagicSlides uses AI to build presentations from a topic or from text you give it, in over 100 languages. Connecting it to Zapier means a deck can be produced as the next step of something that happens elsewhere, instead of someone copying the text into MagicSlides by hand.
The single action, Create Presentation, covers three kinds of result. A deck on request: someone fills in a form with a topic, and a PPT presentation on that topic is created. A deck from your own words: a block of text stored in another tool becomes the raw material instead of a short topic. A deck with visuals: two optional settings, Image For Each Slide and Use Google Image, decide whether pictures are added to the slides.
Now the limits. MagicSlides has no trigger on Zapier, so it cannot start a Zap or tell you when something changes on its side. It has no search either, so there is no way to find a presentation made earlier. Every Zap starts in another app that carries the topic or the text, and Create Presentation is the only thing MagicSlides does in it.
If you are still weighing the tool, see our Zapier review and our Make vs Zapier comparison. We have no MagicSlides page for n8n or Make at this point.
Zapier vocabulary, in plain words
Seven words come back on every Zapier page. Here they are once, so the rest reads easily.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something on your behalf.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completes successfully. Your plan is a count of these.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer for new items. An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it needs a paid plan.
What a MagicSlides Zap really costs
MagicSlides is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and each presentation created is one.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan stepsOne trigger and one action
- Premium appNo, MagicSlides runs on the free plan
- Failed actionNot counted against your plan
The trigger from the other app never costs a task, and neither do Zapier's checks for new data. Create Presentation counts once each time it succeeds; a run that fails is not counted. A form that starts the Zap and MagicSlides that builds the deck is one trigger and one action, so it fits the free plan. Send that deck on by email and the second action makes it a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. Since MagicSlides has no trigger, the interval grid below only concerns the other app's trigger, when that trigger is a polling one.
Connect your MagicSlides account in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a MagicSlides account first, since Zapier only links an account that already exists.
- 02
Pick MagicSlides
Type MagicSlides in the search box of the dialog that appears, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the MagicSlides side.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to MagicSlides in that tab and grant Zapier access to your account. The connection is saved once, and every Zap step that uses MagicSlides reuses it from then on.
Your first Zap: a presentation for every request
GoalWhen someone submits your request form with a topic, MagicSlides creates a presentation on it and the result is emailed back.
- 01
Start with the form
Build the Zap with your form app as the trigger. MagicSlides cannot start a Zap, so the form submission is what sets everything in motion.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent submissions of the connected account. Pick one where the topic question is really filled in.
- 03
Add Create Presentation
Add MagicSlides as the action and choose Create Presentation. Map the form's topic answer into Topic, the only required field of the step.
- 04
Decide on images
Set the two optional choices, Image For Each Slide and Use Google Image, to match how you want the slides to look. Leave them empty if text alone is enough.
- 05
Email the result
Add your email tool and map what MagicSlides returned into the message. This second action makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 06
Test, then publish
Test each step once and open the presentation that came back from MagicSlides. When it looks right, publish the Zap to switch it on.
The MagicSlides action
MagicSlides gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

When a MagicSlides Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to MagicSlides, so the known failure points are the ones every Zap shares.
Most of them start in the app that triggers the Zap rather than in MagicSlides. If a Zap still puzzles you, see our Zapier troubleshooting page.
Old requests are ignored
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Topics already sitting in your form or sheet are not turned into decks; that backlog is a separate job.The Zap keeps setting itself off
If a step after MagicSlides writes into the same sheet the trigger watches, each new row starts the Zap again and creates deck after deck, task after task.A bulk import gets held back
When the trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import of topics for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.No duplicate decks on polling
When the trigger app is polled, Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same request does not create the same presentation twice.
