Magileads Zapier integrationAutomate Magileads with Zapier.
The Magileads Zapier integration offers 0 triggers, 3 actions and 0 searches. Magileads never starts the automation: another app does, then Zapier writes the contact into a list, a blacklist or the unsubscribers of your Magileads account.

What the Magileads Zapier integration actually does
It lets a Zap, the automation you build on Zapier, feed your Magileads account with contacts that come from somewhere else. Something happens in another app, and Zapier carries the person into Magileads for you. Magileads sits at the end of the chain, never at the start, because Zapier lists no event from it.
Three results come out of it. A prospect list that fills itself: every new person caught elsewhere lands in the right Magileads contact list through Add Contact to Contact List, and an existing contact gets updated instead of duplicated. A blacklist kept in step: Add Contact to Blacklist files a contact into the blacklist you pick, so nobody you excluded slips back into a campaign. An opt-out register that does not depend on memory: Add to Unsubscribers records an email, a domain, a SIREN or SIRET number, a NAF code, a LinkedIn link or a company name against your organization.
Now what Zapier does not do here. It cannot react to anything inside Magileads, since there is no trigger: a reply, a new contact or a finished campaign will never start a Zap. It cannot look a contact up either, because there is no search. And no action removes a contact from a list or launches a campaign. If one of those is the job, see our Magileads Make integration page and our Make vs Zapier comparison.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every Zapier page. Here they are in plain English, once.
- Zap
- One automation: a starting event in one app, followed by one or more steps that run each time that event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. With Magileads it always lives in another app, since Magileads offers none.
- Action
- The step that does the work once the Zap has started. All three Magileads operations are actions that write a contact.
- Task
- What Zapier bills you for: one action that completed successfully. Your plan allowance is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant one is reported by its app the moment the event occurs.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and quietly stops it otherwise.
- Connection
- Your Magileads account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that writes into Magileads.
What the Magileads Zapier integration really costs
Magileads is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. The bill counts tasks, and only the Magileads action produces one.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps
- BilledEach Magileads action that succeeds
- Not billedThe trigger, the checks, failed actions
The trigger in the other app costs nothing, however often Zapier checks it. Each Magileads action that goes through counts one task; one that fails counts nothing. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: add a filter or a second action and you need a paid plan. The interval grid below concerns the polling trigger of the app that starts the Zap, never Magileads, which has no trigger of its own.
Connect Magileads to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. You need a Magileads account first, plus write access on any list or blacklist that someone else owns.
- 02
Pick Magileads
Type Magileads in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new browser tab then opens on the Magileads side for the sign-in.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Magileads in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection now appears on the Apps page and every Zap can reuse it without asking again.
Your first Zap: new form entry to a Magileads contact list
GoalEvery person who fills in your form joins a Magileads contact list, ready for a campaign.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap. Choose your form tool as the app that starts it and its new-entry event as the trigger. Zapier will watch that event once the Zap is on.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the trigger test. Zapier fetches the three most recent entries of the connected form, so you map fields on a real submission, not on a blank example.
- 03
Add the Magileads action
Add a step, pick Magileads, then Add Contact to Contact List. Paste the Contact List ID and map the form answers into the contact fields.
- 04
Test the action
Run the action once and open Magileads to check the contact landed in the right list. If something is off, fix the Contact List ID and run it again.
- 05
Publish
Click publish to switch the Zap on. From now on each new entry in the form becomes a Magileads contact, without anyone copying it over.
The 3 Magileads actions
Magileads gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Add Contact to Blacklist
ActionIn Zapier“Imports a contact into a specified blacklist. If the contact already exists, it will be updated.”
Files a contact into one specific Magileads blacklist, picked by its ID. A contact Magileads already knows is updated in place, so running it twice does no harm.
Add Contact to Contact List
ActionIn Zapier“Imports a contact into a specified contact list. If the contact already exists, it will be updated.”
Drops a person into the Magileads contact list you name by its ID. If that person is already in Magileads, the record gets refreshed rather than copied a second time.
Add to Unsubscribers
ActionIn Zapier“Add unsubscriber to an organization using various data types (email, domain, SIREN, etc.).”
Registers an opt-out at organization level. One Value field takes an email, a domain, a SIREN or SIRET number, a NAF code, a LinkedIn link or a company name.
When the Magileads Zap breaks
Zapier ties no help article to Magileads, so the known failure points are the general ones.
None of them shows up as an alarm on day one. They surface later, when a list looks short or the task count jumps. To chase them, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Old contacts are not imported
A Zap only reacts to events that happen after you switch it on. The people already sitting in your form or sheet stay there; moving them is a separate job.A loop that eats tasks
If a Zap writes into the very place its own trigger watches, it sets itself off again and again and drains the task count fast. Keep source and destination apart.A bulk import gets held back
When the starting app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back instead of sending them all through. The same contact twice
On a polling trigger Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so one item does not start the Zap twice. If a contact shows up twice, look at the source first.
