Overview

What the MASLERO Zapier integration actually does

MASLERO is a CRM platform meant to tidy up your business processes and take in data from many sources. On Zapier it offers a single action, Create Lead: another app starts the Zap, and MASLERO receives the new lead at the end. Nothing in MASLERO can start a Zap.

Three outcomes, all built on the same action. Form answers that land in the CRM: your form tool starts the Zap and Create Lead files each person who filled it in, so nobody copies names from an inbox into the CRM. A spreadsheet that feeds the pipeline: a new row in a shared sheet, added by a colleague or by another tool, becomes a lead without anyone opening MASLERO. Only the leads worth keeping: put a filter between the source and Create Lead, and the Zap goes on only when the field you pick matches your rule.

What Zapier does not do here: there is no MASLERO trigger, so a change inside MASLERO cannot set anything off in your other tools. There is no search step either, which means a Zap cannot check whether a lead already exists before creating it, and no action updates or deletes a lead. The integration runs in one direction only, into MASLERO.

Vocabulary

Zapier words, in plain English

Seven terms carry this page. Each one, once.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts the Zap. MASLERO has none, so the trigger always comes from another app, a form or a sheet for instance.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Create Lead is one.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully; your plan counts those.
Polling or instant
A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by its app at once. That depends on the source app.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes one, and that needs a paid plan.
Cost

What MASLERO on Zapier costs you

MASLERO is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. Zapier bills in tasks, and only successful actions count.

  • Trigger (other app)0 task
  • Each lead created1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, Zaps of two steps
  • Premium appNo

Whatever starts the Zap costs nothing. Each lead that Create Lead files successfully costs one task; a failed attempt is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps of two steps each, which is exactly one source and one Create Lead. Add a filter and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below applies to the trigger of the source app when that trigger is a polling one; MASLERO itself has no trigger.

Connect

Connect MASLERO to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

Have your MASLERO account ready. In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your MASLERO account linked once, then reused by every Zap that uses it.

  2. 02

    Pick MASLERO

Type MASLERO in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the MASLERO side, where the rest of the setup happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to MASLERO in that tab and grant Zapier access. If the leads should land in an account you do not own, get write rights on it first, since Zapier can only do what your login can do.

First Zap

Your first Zap: form answers into MASLERO

GoalEach new answer to your form is filed in MASLERO as a lead, with no copy and paste.

  1. 01

    Pick the source

Create a Zap and choose your form tool as the app that starts it, with the event for a new response. Since MASLERO has no trigger, the Zap always opens on another app.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map real answers, not invented ones.

  3. 03

    Add Create Lead

Click the plus icon, choose MASLERO and Create Lead, then your connection. Map each answer to the lead field it belongs in; check on the test which fields the step offers.

  4. 04

    Tell the team

Add a message step in your chat tool with the name of the new lead, so someone follows up. This second action makes the Zap multi-step and needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each step once and read what came back, both in MASLERO and in your chat tool. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Actions

The MASLERO action

MASLERO gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create Lead

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new lead in the MASLERO system.”

Files a new lead in MASLERO from whatever the earlier steps of the Zap carried, a form answer, a row or a message.

When to use it
contacts reach you outside MASLERO and you want each of them in the CRM without retyping.
Watch out
no search can check for duplicates first, so check on a test what happens when the same person arrives twice. Use a contact you control.
When it breaks

When the MASLERO Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to MASLERO and no app-specific limit is on record, so the known traps are the general ones, seen from the source side.

  • Past contacts are never picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Answers and rows that already exist stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.
  • A Zap that sets itself off

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again, and burns through tasks. Keep the source and the output apart.
  • A sudden flood held back

If the source trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import into your sheet for instance, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.
  • The same row, only once

On a polling source, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same item does not start the Zap twice. That protects against repeats, not against two genuine entries for one person.

FAQ

MASLERO Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the MASLERO Zapier integration free?
Yes, on Zapier's side. MASLERO is not a premium app, so the free plan can use it, with 100 tasks a month and an unlimited number of Zaps. Each free Zap is capped at two steps: one trigger and one action. A form answer sent to Create Lead fits that exactly. Add a filter, or a second action such as a message to your team, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan or the free trial.
02How many tasks does a MASLERO Zap use?
One per lead created successfully, and nothing for the trigger. A form answer that starts your Zap costs nothing in itself; the Create Lead step that follows costs one task when it works. If the Zap also posts a message to your team, that run costs two, because each successful action counts on its own. A failed action is not counted against your plan. A few apps and actions take more than one task, so read the count on your first test runs.
03How does a MASLERO Zap start without a trigger?
On a trigger from another app. MASLERO only offers an action, so every Zap opens on your form tool, your spreadsheet or any other source that has a trigger. How fast it starts depends on that source: an instant trigger fires at once on every plan, while a polling trigger is checked at an interval set by your plan, from every 15 minutes on Free to every minute on Team and Enterprise. Check the source app's own page.
04What does it take to connect MASLERO to Zapier?
A MASLERO account with the right to add leads to it. From the Apps page of Zapier, click + Add connection, search MASLERO, sign in to MASLERO in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. The connection is made once and reused by every Zap. If the leads must land in an account that someone else owns, ask for write rights first, because Zapier can only do what your login can do. You will also need a connection for the source app.
05Can MASLERO avoid creating duplicate leads?
Not from Zapier alone. The integration has no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing lead before calling Create Lead. If the same person fills in your form twice, both answers start the Zap. What you can do is narrow the source: a filter that lets through only the answers you want, or a source that already keeps one row per person. Whether MASLERO merges duplicates on its side is something to check on a test.
06What if the MASLERO operation you need is missing?
Then Zapier does not offer it for MASLERO today. The full list is one action, Create Lead: no trigger, no search, no update and no deletion. If you need MASLERO to set something off elsewhere, Zapier cannot do it with this integration. Changing a lead after it is created is not something a Zap can do here. Before building anything bigger, check that Create Lead accepts the fields your source carries.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for MASLERO?
Compare on criteria, not on a ranking. Coverage: on Zapier, MASLERO offers a single action, so first check whether another tool lists MASLERO and with what. Speed: here it depends entirely on the source app's trigger, instant or polling. Billing: Zapier counts one task per lead created, plus one per extra action. For a one-way flow of leads, set the expected number of leads per month against each tool's way of counting.
