Maybe* Zapier integrationAutomate Maybe* with Zapier.
The Maybe* Zapier integration gives you 1 trigger, 1 action and 0 searches. The trigger is instant, the app is not a paid-only app, and a two-step Zap runs on the free plan. Here is what each step asks for, what it costs and where it trips.

What the Maybe* Zapier integration actually does
Maybe* is a social media tool built to listen to customers, answer them and benchmark the results. The Zapier side is small: one trigger that picks up a conversation, one action that creates one. Zapier is the bridge that moves that conversation to or from your other apps without you copying it by hand.
Three outcomes cover most of what you can build. A conversation log outside Maybe*. Pull Conversation starts the Zap and the next step writes the conversation into a sheet or a notes tool you already use. Conversations created from somewhere else. Push Conversation takes text that arrived in another app, a form answer for example, and creates the conversation in Maybe* with its channel, author, body and publication date. A filtered handover. Put a filter between the two apps so only the conversations from one social channel go on (that third step makes it a paid-plan Zap).
What Zapier does not do here matters as much. There is no search step for Maybe*, so a Zap cannot look up an existing conversation before writing. There is no update or delete action either: the integration reads and creates, nothing else. And the trigger starts the Zap only for what happens after you switch it on. If you want a second opinion on the tool itself, see our Zapier review.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Eight words you will meet in the editor, each in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it and does nothing else until it comes.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you in an app.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completed successfully, and your plan counts those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists in an app so later steps can use it. Maybe* has none on Zapier.
- Connection
- Your Maybe* account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step of every Zap that touches Maybe*.
What a Maybe* Zap really costs
The trigger never costs anything. Only an action that completes is counted as a task.
- TriggerFree, never counted
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, two-step Zaps only
- Maybe* on the free planYes, not a paid-only app
A Zap built on Pull Conversation costs nothing while it waits: Zapier bills the action that follows, once per success. An action that does not go through is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. Add a filter, a second action or a search and it becomes a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. The grid below is how often Zapier checks a polling trigger on each plan; it does not apply to the instant trigger of this app.
Connect Maybe* to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box: type Maybe* and pick it from the list of apps that comes up.
- 02
Sign in to Maybe*
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on Maybe*: sign in with the account the Zap should work with. You need an account on the app, plus access to anything you do not own and want the Zap to touch.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier to use the account. The connection then appears on the Apps page and every Maybe* step of every Zap can reuse it, so you only do this once per account.
Your first Maybe* Zap: one channel, logged in a sheet
GoalConversations picked up by Pull Conversation are checked by a filter, and the ones that pass become a new row in your spreadsheet.
- 01
Create the Zap
From the Zapier dashboard, start a new Zap. Pick Maybe* as the first app and
Pull Conversationas the trigger, then choose your connection. - 02
Set and test the trigger
Fill in the Conversation Name and the Social Channel, both required. Run the test and look at what comes back before you map anything.
- 03
Add a filter
Click the plus icon, add a Filter and fill its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule and the value. This third step makes the Zap a paid-plan Zap.
- 04
Add the spreadsheet step
Add your spreadsheet as the action, pick the sheet, then map each column to a value the trigger handed over during the test.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test the action once and check the new row. Then click Publish: the Zap is on and reacts only to conversations that arrive from now on.
The Maybe* trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Maybe*, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Pull Conversation
Instant triggerIn Zapier“To get a conversation from maybe*.”
Starts your Zap with a conversation from Maybe*, so whatever comes next can store it, forward it or count it outside the tool. You set the Conversation Name and the Social Channel it should look at.
The Maybe* action
Maybe* gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Push Conversation
ActionIn Zapier“Create a Conversation”
Creates a conversation in Maybe* from data another app sent, with its channel, author, body and publication date.
When a Maybe* Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Maybe* and lists no rate limit for it, so the traps below are the general ones that apply to any Zap.
Most problems show up in the first days, when old data, loops or a big import meet a freshly published Zap. When a run fails and you cannot see why, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Nothing from before the Zap
A Zap reacts only to what happens after you switch it on. Conversations that already existed are not picked up; moving that backlog is a separate job.A Zap that restarts itself
A Zap that writes where its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again. Pulling and pushing conversations in the same account is a case to test carefully.A huge batch held back
After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger can suddenly return a large batch. Zapier's flood protection can hold that batch back instead of running it all.A failed action costs nothing
An action that does not go through is not counted against your plan. The flip side: nothing was created in Maybe*, so check the run before assuming it worked.
