What the MeetingKing Zapier integration actually does
The MeetingKing Zapier integration does one thing: when a task is created in MeetingKing, Zapier hears about it and passes it to another app. There is a single trigger, New Task, and no action or search. MeetingKing is where the Zap starts; everything else happens in the tools you connect after it.
New tasks in your task manager. New Task followed by a task manager step copies each task created in MeetingKing into the tool where people already track their work.
A list of follow-ups in a spreadsheet. The same trigger can add a row per new task, which gives a plain list anyone can sort or share.
A heads-up in a team channel. Send each new task as a message, so the person concerned sees it without opening MeetingKing.
What Zapier does not do for MeetingKing: it does not see task updates, completions or deletions, only creations. It does not carry the files or tags attached to a task; the trigger description says so. And it cannot write anything into MeetingKing: no action creates a meeting, an agenda item or a task there. If the plan needs any of that, this integration stops short, and the flow has to be designed around new tasks only.

Zapier words, in plain English
Seven terms come back on this page. Here is each one in a sentence.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event occurs.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap, here a new task in MeetingKing. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it to happen.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in another app here.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. Different from a MeetingKing task, despite the name.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier itself when the event happens. New Task is instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a MeetingKing Zap really costs
New Task never costs a Zapier task, however many MeetingKing tasks get created. You pay for each action that works in the app that follows.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
- Premium appNo, MeetingKing works on the free plan
- MeetingKing trigger1, instant
A failed action is not counted, and a Zap with three actions spends three tasks per run. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each capped at two steps: New Task and one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. MeetingKing is not a premium app. The interval grid below applies to polling triggers; it does not apply to New Task, which is instant.
Connect MeetingKing to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open Apps and add a connection
In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a MeetingKing account, plus access to anything in it you do not own yourself but want the Zap to see.
- 02
Pick MeetingKing
Type MeetingKing in the search box of the dialog and select it from the results. Then click Add connection: a new browser tab opens on the MeetingKing sign-in page.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to MeetingKing in that tab, then grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is stored once, and every Zap that starts from MeetingKing reuses it.
Your first MeetingKing Zap: new tasks into your task manager
GoalEach new MeetingKing task that passes your condition becomes a task in your task manager, with the details the trigger carries.
- 01
Create the Zap and pick the trigger
Create a new Zap, choose MeetingKing as the app that starts it and New Task as the event. Select your MeetingKing connection, or add it as described above.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map on a real MeetingKing task and see what it carries.
- 03
Add the filter
Click the plus icon, add Filter, and fill the three boxes: field, rule, value. A text rule only works on text. The Zap is now multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the task manager step
Add your task manager as the action and map the MeetingKing task details into its fields. Files and tags will not be there, so do not plan a field for them.
- 05
Test, then publish
Run each step once and read what came back. When the task looks right, click Publish to switch the Zap on. Tasks created before that are not copied.
The MeetingKing trigger on Zapier
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in MeetingKing, and one of them is instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Task
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new task is created (Does not support files or tags).”
Starts a Zap each time a task is created in MeetingKing: one new task, one run. The next step receives that new task, without its files or tags.
When a MeetingKing Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to MeetingKing and the source lists no limit specific to it, beyond the missing files and tags. What breaks comes from how Zapier works in general.
Four cases to know before the first publish. If a Zap misbehaves later, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Earlier tasks are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Tasks created before that stay in MeetingKing, and moving that backlog is a separate job.Files and tags stay behind
The New Task trigger does not support files or tags. A step that expects an attachment or a tag from MeetingKing will find nothing to map.A sudden flood
When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold that batch back.A loop through other apps
A Zap that writes into the place its own trigger watches can restart itself and burn tasks. MeetingKing has no action, so check the other Zaps in your setup.
