Memelord Zapier integrationAutomate Memelord with Zapier.

The Memelord Zapier integration gives you 0 triggers, 3 actions and 0 searches. Memelord never starts a Zap on its own: another app fires, then Memelord makes a meme, a meme video, or fetches a finished video job. Here is what each step costs and where it trips.

Overview

What the Memelord Zapier integration actually does

The Memelord Zapier integration lets a Zap, the automation you build on Zapier, ask Memelord to produce memes for you. Memelord is a meme editor aimed at marketers who post memes, with AI help to write, edit and animate them. On Zapier it only works as the doing part: something else has to kick things off.

Three results you can get out of it, each tied to a real step. A meme drafted from a single line of text: AI Meme Generation takes a prompt (the subject of the meme) and makes the image. A short meme video built on trending formats: AI Meme Video takes a topic or idea and starts the render. And the finished video itself: Get Video Job picks up a video job by its Job ID once it has been rendered.

Picture a spreadsheet where each new row holds a meme subject. The Zap hands that text to Memelord as the prompt, so nobody copies it across by hand.

Now the part the app page leaves out. Memelord has no trigger, so nothing that happens inside Memelord can start a Zap: no new meme, no finished video, nothing. It has no search step either, so a Zap cannot look up an existing meme there. And the integration does not publish anywhere by itself: posting the result means another app's action, which makes the Zap longer and paid.

Vocabulary

Zapier words, in one minute

Seven terms come back all over this page. Each gets one plain line here, then it is used as is.

Zap
The automation itself: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Memelord has none, so the trigger always comes from another app.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that makes, sends or fetches something for you, like a Memelord meme.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those, nothing else.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer, at an interval set by your plan. An instant one is reported by its app the moment the event happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Memelord Zap costs you

Memelord is not a premium app, so it runs on the free plan. The trigger never costs a task, and checking for new data is free however often it happens.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps of two steps each
  • Premium appNo, Memelord works on the free plan
  • Cost per runOne task per Memelord action that succeeds
  • Filter or second actionMakes the Zap multi-step, paid plan needed

Each Memelord action that succeeds counts as one task; one that fails is not counted. A Zap that makes a video and then fetches it burns two tasks per run. That pair also makes the Zap multi-step, so the free plan, capped at a trigger plus one action, will not hold it. Filters cost the same way: a Zap that screens ideas before AI Meme Generation is multi-step too. The interval grid below only concerns the other app's trigger, and only if that trigger is a polling one.

Connect

Connect your Memelord account

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

From your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Memelord account linked once, then reused by every step that calls Memelord.

  2. 02

    Find Memelord

Type Memelord in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results, then click Add connection. You need a Memelord account before this step, Zapier only links the one you already have.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

A new tab opens on Memelord. Sign in there and allow Zapier to use the account. From then on, every Memelord step in your Zaps can pick that connection.

First Zap

Your first Memelord Zap, step by step

GoalEach new row of your spreadsheet becomes a Memelord meme drafted from that row's text.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap in the editor. It needs two steps here: the event that starts it, from your sheet, and the Memelord action that follows. Two steps fit the free plan.

  2. 02

    Pick the trigger

Choose your spreadsheet app and its new-row event, then connect that account. Memelord cannot be the trigger, so this card always belongs to another tool.

  3. 03

    Test the trigger

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so pick a real row with text in it to map from.

  4. 04

    Add the Memelord action

Add a step, choose Memelord, then AI Meme Generation. Map the column that holds the subject into Prompt, the only required field. Set the NSFW option to the tone your brand accepts.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test the action and read what Memelord sends back before going further. When it looks right, publish the Zap to switch it on. Rows added before that moment stay untouched.

Actions

The 3 Memelord actions

Memelord gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

AI Meme Generation

Action

In Zapier“Makes AI meme based on prompt”

Turns a line of text into a meme image: you give the subject, Memelord's AI writes and builds the meme around it.

When to use it
you collect joke ideas somewhere and want a first draft for each one without opening the editor.
Watch out
Prompt is required, and a separate yes-or-no option decides whether spicier memes are allowed, so set it on purpose rather than leaving it to chance.
2

AI Meme Video

Action

In Zapier“Makes a meme video using trending memes”

Starts a short meme video built on trending meme formats, from a topic or idea you pass in as the prompt.

When to use it
your channel favors video and you want each new idea to kick off a render on its own.
Watch out
this step launches the render; picking up the finished video is the job of Get Video Job, which is a second action and makes the Zap multi-step.
3

Get Video Job

Action

In Zapier“Polling get a video job after its rendered”

Fetches a video job by its ID once Memelord has rendered it, so later steps can use the result.

When to use it
after AI Meme Video, when the next step needs the finished video rather than the request that started it.
Watch out
Job ID is required and, per the field itself, comes from the video editor. Whether an earlier step hands it back is something to check at the test before you map it.
When it breaks

When a Memelord Zap breaks

Zapier ties no help article to Memelord and lists no limit of its own. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap, with a Memelord flavor.

Four cases are worth knowing before you switch the Zap on. If a run fails and you cannot tell why, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • Old ideas are not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is published. Ideas already sitting in your sheet never become memes unless you move them through some other way.
  • A Zap that feeds itself

A Zap that writes back where its own trigger looks can set itself off again and again. Writing results into the sheet that starts the Zap is the risky pattern here.
  • A bulk import gets held back

Paste hundreds of ideas at once and the trigger may return a huge batch. Zapier's flood protection can hold such a batch back instead of making all those memes.
  • The same row twice? No

On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of what it has already seen, so the same new row does not start the Zap a second time.

FAQ

Memelord Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the Memelord Zapier integration free?
Yes, as long as the Zap stays at two steps. Memelord is not a premium app, so it works on Zapier's free plan, which gives 100 tasks a month and as many Zaps as you like, each limited to one trigger and one action. A Zap that makes a video and then fetches it has two actions, so it needs a paid plan. The same goes for any Zap where a filter screens ideas before they reach Memelord.
02How many tasks does a Memelord Zap use?
One task for each Memelord action that succeeds, and nothing else. The trigger from the other app costs nothing, and the checks Zapier runs to spot new items are free too. A generation step that fails is not counted. So a Zap with AI Meme Generation alone uses one task per meme, while a video Zap that pairs AI Meme Video with Get Video Job uses two per idea, which drains a 100-task month twice as fast.
03Does Memelord on Zapier run in real time?
That depends entirely on the other app, because Memelord has no trigger. The Zap starts on an event somewhere else, and that trigger is either instant, reported by its app straight away, or polling, checked on a timer. A polling trigger is checked every 15 minutes on the free plan, every 2 on Professional, and every minute on Team and Enterprise. Look for the lightning bolt in the editor: it marks an instant trigger.
04What does it take to connect Memelord to Zapier?
A Memelord account, then a few clicks in Zapier. Open the Apps page, click + Add connection, search Memelord, click Add connection, then sign in to Memelord in the tab that opens and grant access. If the Zap touches anything you do not own yourself, the account also needs read or write access to it. The connection is made once and every Memelord step reuses it afterwards, in any Zap you build.
05How do you get the finished video out of AI Meme Video?
With a second action, Get Video Job. AI Meme Video starts the render from your topic; Get Video Job then fetches the video job by its Job ID once it is rendered. The Job ID is required, and the field only says it comes from the video editor: check at the test whether the AI Meme Video step returns one you can map. Two actions make the Zap multi-step, which means a paid plan and two tasks per run.
06What if the Memelord step you want is not on Zapier?
Then the editor will not offer it. Open the Memelord page on Zapier: it shows the current list of what the app can do there. Today that means three actions, no trigger and no search, so a Zap cannot start from something that happens inside Memelord, nor look up an existing meme. Check whether one of the three actions covers the need, and test any workaround on a real idea before you build on it.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Memelord?
Pick by what you need, not by brand. On Zapier, Memelord gives three actions that run on the free plan, as long as the Zap stays at two steps; the moment you chain video creation and retrieval, you are on a paid plan. If your budget hinges on many multi-step runs, compare how each tool counts a run and whether it offers Memelord at all before you commit. Then estimate how many ideas you push through each month.
