Overview

What the MightyCall Call Center Zapier integration does for you

MightyCall Call Center is a MightyCall cloud phone system, listed on Zapier as an app of its own. Linking it to Zapier lets each call, as it appears, connects or ends, start an automation that looks up data, sends a text or feeds your other tools. You set it up once as a Zap, the automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.

A call record in a spreadsheet. Call Completed passes the Call ID to Find Call Data, and the details of each finished call land as a row in your spreadsheet.

A text after the call. Send Message sends a text from one of your business numbers to the contact number you map from the call, so the follow-up goes out without anyone typing it.

Every caller tied to a contact. Find or Create Contact looks up the phone number and, with the creation box ticked, adds the contact when it is missing.

What Zapier does not do here matters as much. No action places a call, and nothing deletes a contact or a message. Send Message only works from business numbers registered for messaging, not from every number on the account. The triggers cover calls that appear, connect and end, nothing else; everything beyond that stays in the app.

Vocabulary

Zapier words, in one minute

Eight words come back throughout this page. Each one in plain terms.

Zap
The automation itself: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event shows up.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something in an app on your behalf.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action that your Zap completed successfully; your plan counts those.
Instant trigger
A trigger the app reports by itself the moment the event happens. All three triggers of this app work that way.
Polling trigger
A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items at a fixed interval. This app has none of them.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, so the steps after it can use what it found.
Cost

What a MightyCall Call Center Zap really costs

A call that starts your Zap costs nothing. The trigger never uses a task; only the actions that complete do.

  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps of two steps each
  • TriggerNever billed
  • Failed actionNot counted against the plan
  • On the free planYes, not reserved for paid plans

Each successful action counts as one task, so every text sent with Send Message counts once, and an action that fails is not counted. A Zap with three actions uses three times more than a one-action Zap. The app is not reserved for paid plans, so the free plan works within its two-step limit. Add a search such as Find Call Data, a filter or a second action, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below is Zapier's general one; it does not apply to this app's three triggers, which are all instant.

Connect

Connect your MightyCall Call Center account in three moves

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In your Zapier account, open the Apps page and click + Add connection. You need a MightyCall Call Center account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

  2. 02

    Pick the app

Type MightyCall Call Center in the search box of the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens, and that is where you sign in.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to the app in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once, then reused by every step of this app, triggers, actions and searches alike.

First Zap

Your first Zap: every finished call, with its details, in a sheet

GoalWhen a call ends, fetch its details with Find Call Data and add them as a row in your spreadsheet.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, pick MightyCall Call Center as the app that starts it and Call Completed as the event, choose your connection, then set the required Call Direction.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent calls of the connected account. Pick a real one and find its Call ID among the fields.

  3. 03

    Add Find Call Data

Add the search Find Call Data and map the Call ID from the trigger into its required field. With a search in it, this Zap is multi-step and needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the spreadsheet step

Add the action of your spreadsheet tool that creates a row, then map the call details returned by the search into the columns you want.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back before going further. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. Calls that ended before that moment are not picked up.

Triggers

MightyCall Call Center triggers on Zapier

3 events start a Zap when something happens in MightyCall Call Center, and 3 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Call Completed

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new call is finished.”

Starts your Zap once a call is over. Everything that belongs after a conversation, logging it, texting the caller, fetching the full details, waits for the end of the call and works on the finished call.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
for any step that only makes sense once the line is free, such as a follow-up text with Send Message.
Watch out
the required Call Direction field filters calls by direction, so a Zap set on one direction skips the others; choose it on purpose.
2

New Call

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new call appears.”

Reacts when a new call appears in the app. Of the three triggers, it is the one tied to the appearance of a call rather than to its connection or its end.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when the team should hear about each new call, with a message in their chat tool.
Watch out
it also requires a Call Direction; which details come with it is something to read at test before mapping.
3

New Connected Call

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Works when a new call is connected”

Fires when a new call is connected in the app. Pick it when the connection of a call, rather than its appearance or its end, is the moment that matters to your process.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan
When to use it
when only connected calls should count, for example in a record kept in a spreadsheet.
Watch out
Call Direction is required here too; set it before testing.
Actions

MightyCall Call Center actions on Zapier

MightyCall Call Center gives you 2 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

List Phone Numbers

Action

In Zapier“List all phone numbers”

Lists all the phone numbers of your account, so a later step can work with them. What exactly comes back is something only the test of this step shows you, so read it before mapping anything.

When to use it
when a Zap needs the numbers of the account before it decides what to do next.
Watch out
each successful run counts as a task like any other action.
2

Send Message

Action

In Zapier“Send a new text message”

Sends a new text message from one of your business numbers to a contact number. Both are required: the Business number, picked among the numbers registered for messaging, and the Contact number, mapped from an earlier step such as the call trigger when it carries one.

When to use it
for a text that follows a call or an event in another app.
Watch out
a number not registered for messaging will not appear in the Business number list.
Searches

MightyCall Call Center searches on Zapier

2 search steps look for data that already exists in MightyCall Call Center, so a later step can use it.

A search step looks up something that already exists and hands it to the steps that follow. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the action event list, under their own heading. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not a clean single match.

1

Find Call Data

Search

In Zapier“Find Call Data (CallID required)”

Looks up one call from its Call ID, a required field, and passes the call's details to the next steps. The field's own help text says each call notification the app sends carries this unique identifier: find it in the trigger test, then map it here.

When to use it
right after a call trigger, when later steps need more than the trigger brought.
Watch out
with no Call ID mapped, there is nothing to search for.
2

Find or Create Contact

SearchFind or create

In Zapier“Find existing contact or Create a new one.”

Finds a contact by its Phone Number, a required field. The editor may show it twice: as a plain search and as its find-or-create variant, which is the same search with the creation box ticked, not an extra operation.

When to use it
to tie each call or text to a contact, created on the spot if needed.
Watch out
whether the number must match exactly is decided by the app; compare at test.

The three settings every search exposes

  1. Successful if no search results are found?
Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and the steps that depend on it are skipped. Switched on, the Zap goes on without a result.
  2. Create X if it doesn't exist yet?
Ticking this box turns the search into a find-or-create: it stops offering the setting above and asks for the fields needed to create the missing item.
  3. If multiple search results are found?
Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one, which is the default, stop the Zap, or pass all of them on at once.
When it breaks

When a MightyCall Call Center Zap breaks

Zapier links no help article to this app and states no limit of its own for it. What breaks is what breaks on any Zap, plus one rule from the app's fields.

The four cases below cover the usual suspects for a Zap built on a call trigger. If yours stops for another reason, open our Zapier troubleshooting page.

  • Past calls never come through

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Calls that ended before stay in the app; moving that history elsewhere is a separate job.
  • A Zap that keeps restarting itself

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through your task count quickly.
  • A big batch held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of running every item.
  • No number to send from

Send Message only offers business numbers registered for messaging. If none of yours is, the required Business number field has nothing to pick.

FAQ

MightyCall Call Center Zapier integration: questions people ask

01Is the MightyCall Call Center Zapier integration free?
Yes, it runs on the free plan. MightyCall Call Center is not one of the apps Zapier keeps for paid plans, so its triggers, actions and searches are open to a free account. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. Call Completed followed by Send Message fits. Add Find Call Data, a filter or a second action, and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a MightyCall Call Center Zap use?
One task per action that completes, nothing for the trigger. A call that starts the Zap is free, so a Zap that sends one text per finished call uses one task per call. Send Message and List Phone Numbers each count once per successful run. An action that fails is not counted against your plan. A few apps and actions take more than one task when they complete, so run the Zap on a test call before counting on a figure.
03Does MightyCall Call Center reach Zapier instantly?
Yes. All three triggers, Call Completed, New Call and New Connected Call, are instant: the app reports each event to Zapier itself, so the Zap starts right away. That is true on every plan, the free one included, because the interval grid only concerns polling triggers. The editor marks a Zap built on an instant trigger with a lightning bolt. The type is set by the app and cannot be changed in the editor.
04What does it take to connect MightyCall Call Center to Zapier?
A MightyCall Call Center account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. From the Apps page of your Zapier account, click + Add connection, search for the app, click Add connection, then sign in in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. The saved connection serves every step of this app in every Zap. If you plan to send texts, check your messaging numbers first.
05Why is a business number missing from Send Message?
Because Send Message only offers business numbers that are registered for messaging. Its Business number field is required, and the list it shows leaves out numbers without that registration. If the number you expect is not there, the fix happens on the MightyCall side, not in Zapier: the number has to be registered for messaging first. The Contact number, the other required field, is the recipient: map it from the call that triggered the Zap if the trigger test shows a number there.
06What if the MightyCall Call Center operation you want is not there?
Then it is not available through this integration, and no editor setting will add it. The current list is the one on the app's page on the Zapier site: today three triggers, two actions and two searches. Placing a call or deleting a contact is not on it. Check that page before designing a Zap around a step, and keep the missing part as manual work in MightyCall Call Center.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for MightyCall Call Center?
Use criteria, not a ranking. Coverage first: check that each tool offers the call triggers, texts and searches your process needs. Then billing: on Zapier each successful action is a task, so count calls per month times actions per call. Then shape: on Zapier a search, a filter or a second action already makes the Zap multi-step and paid. Last, maintenance: choose the editor the person running the process is comfortable with.
