Overview

What the Moserbus Zapier integration really does

Moserbus is a cloud CRM built around leads, email marketing and reporting for real estate teams. Linked to Zapier, it becomes part of a Zap: an automation with one starting event and one or more steps after it. Something happens in Moserbus, and Zapier carries it into your other tools, or the other way round.

Three results worth building. A progress alert: when a borrower's stage moves (Update Stage), the right person gets an email from your mail tool. A deal sent on demand: you push a deal from Moserbus (Add Deal (Manual Push)) and it lands as a row in a shared sheet. Deals that arrive from outside: a form or another tool feeds Create or Update Deal, so nobody retypes the record.

What Zapier does not do here. Five triggers carry Manual Push in their name: they start only when someone pushes the record by hand from Moserbus, not every time a deal, partner or task is created or edited. Only Update Stage and Update Status follow changes on their own. The app also has no search step, so a Zap cannot look up an existing deal, partner or task before writing. On the writing side, run each Create or Update action once at test and look at what it records in Moserbus before you publish.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary, in one minute

Seven words come back all through this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for that event and nothing else.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you in an app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully; the count on your plan is a count of those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer. An instant trigger is reported by the app itself the moment the event happens, as on Moserbus.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action makes it one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What a Moserbus Zap really costs

Moserbus is not a premium app on Zapier (an app reserved for paid plans), so it runs on the free plan. Everything is counted in tasks.

  • Premium appNo, available on the free plan
  • Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited two-step Zaps
  • TriggerNever costs a task
  • Instant triggersAll 8, interval grid not applied

The trigger never costs a task. Each action that succeeds counts as one, so a Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap uses, and an action that fails is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger, one action. A filter or a second action makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Zapier publishes an interval grid for polling triggers, shown below; it does not apply to Moserbus, whose eight triggers are all instant and start the Zap right away on any plan.

Connect

Connect Moserbus to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your Apps page

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your Moserbus account linked once, then reused by every step that talks to Moserbus.

  2. 02

    Find Moserbus

Type Moserbus in the search box of the dialog, select it in the results, then click Add connection. A new tab opens on the Moserbus sign-in screen, where the next step happens.

  3. 03

    Sign in and allow access

Log in to Moserbus in that tab and grant Zapier access to the account. You need an account on Moserbus, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.

First Zap

Your first Moserbus Zap: email the team when a stage moves

GoalWhen a borrower's stage changes in Moserbus, check that it matches the condition you choose, then send an email from your mail tool to the person you choose.

  1. 01

Create the Zap and pick the trigger

Start a new Zap, choose Moserbus as the app and Update Stage as the trigger event, then select the Moserbus connection you added earlier.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account. Pick a real one, so the next steps are mapped on actual data.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

Add a Filter step from the plus icon and set its three boxes: the field to look at, the rule, the value to compare. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add the email

Add your email tool with its send action. Map the recipient, subject and body from the trigger data, and check at test which fields actually arrive.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Run each step once and read what came back before going further. When the output looks right, publish the Zap to switch it on for the next stage changes.

Triggers

Moserbus triggers on Zapier

8 events start a Zap when something happens in Moserbus, and 8 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Add Deal (Manual Push)

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually push from Moserbus.”

Starts your Zap when you push a deal by hand from Moserbus. Nothing happens on its own: the Zap waits for that push, then receives the deal and hands it to the next step.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
you want to choose, deal by deal, which ones go to a partner tool or a shared sheet.
Watch out
creating a deal in Moserbus is not enough; if nobody pushes it, the Zap never runs.
2

Add Partner (Manual Push)

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually push from Moserbus.”

Fires when a partner is pushed by hand from Moserbus. The partner record then travels through the Zap to whatever comes next, a contact list, a sheet or an email.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a new partner should be copied into your mailing tool once you decide they are ready.
Watch out
the push is a human gesture; plan who does it, or partners will stay in Moserbus only.
3

Add Task (Manual Push)

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually push from Moserbus.”

Reacts when you push a task from Moserbus by hand. The task arrives in the Zap and can become a calendar entry, a message or a line in another to-do tool.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
some follow-ups need to show up in a team calendar, and you pick which ones.
Watch out
tasks created in Moserbus without a push stay invisible to the Zap.
4

Update Deal (Manual Push)

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually push from Moserbus.”

Runs when you push an updated deal from Moserbus. It is the companion of Add Deal (Manual Push): same gesture, but for a deal you have edited.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
after a deal changes, you want to send the new version to a sheet or another tool on your own signal.
Watch out
editing the deal does not start the Zap; the update has to be pushed.
5

Update Partner (Manual Push)

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually update from Moserbus.”

Fires when you push a partner update by hand from Moserbus. The edited partner reaches the Zap, ready to refresh a copy kept elsewhere.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a partner's details change and the copy in your email tool should follow, once you confirm it.
Watch out
without a push after the edit, the outside copy keeps the old details.
6

Update Stage

Instant trigger

In Zapier“This trigger fires whenever a borrower's stage changes, keeping you updated on their progress. Perfect for staying on top of important status updates!”

Follows a borrower through your pipeline: each time their stage changes in Moserbus, the Zap starts with that borrower. No push is needed here.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a colleague should hear about each step forward in a file.
Watch out
every stage change starts the Zap, so add a filter if only some stages matter; that needs a paid plan.
7

Update Status

Instant trigger

In Zapier“This trigger fires whenever a borrower's status changes, keeping you updated on their progress. Perfect for staying on top of important status updates!”

Watches the status of a borrower rather than the stage. When that status changes in Moserbus, the Zap starts on its own, without any push.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a status change should update a reporting sheet or trigger a message to your team.
Watch out
stage and status are two separate triggers; check at test which field your team actually moves.
8

Update Task (Manual Push)

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually Update from Moserbus.”

Starts the Zap when a task update is pushed by hand from Moserbus. The edited task lands in the Zap, ready to correct a copy held in another tool.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
a rescheduled follow-up must move in a shared calendar too, on your signal.
Watch out
rescheduling the task in Moserbus is not the event; nothing reaches Zapier until the update is pushed.
Actions

Moserbus actions on Zapier

Moserbus gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Create or Update Deal

Action

In Zapier“It will create or update a deal in moserbus.”

Writes a deal into Moserbus, either as a new one or as an update of an existing one, from data the Zap carries. It is how deals captured elsewhere reach your CRM without retyping.

When to use it
a web form collects a new inquiry that should become a Moserbus deal.
Watch out
run it once at test and look at the deal it leaves in Moserbus before you publish.
2

Create or Update Partner

Action

In Zapier“Triggers when you manually updated from Moserbus.”

Sends partner details into Moserbus; as its name says, it creates or updates a partner. The official description on Zapier reads like a trigger, so trust the form you see in the editor.

When to use it
a partner signs up through another tool and must exist in Moserbus.
Watch out
check at test what Moserbus records before publishing.
3

Create or Update Task

Action

In Zapier“It will create or update a task in moserbus.”

Puts a task into Moserbus, new or updated, with what the earlier steps hand over. A follow-up decided in another tool then shows up where your team works.

When to use it
a calendar booking or a form reply should leave a to-do in Moserbus.
Watch out
there is no search step, so the Zap cannot look up a task before writing; look at the result of the test in Moserbus.
When it breaks

When a Moserbus Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Moserbus, so the cases below are the general Zapier limits that apply to it.

Three general cases are worth knowing before you publish. For anything else, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • Earlier records are not picked up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Deals, partners or tasks pushed before that stay out; moving the backlog is a separate job.
  • A Zap that restarts itself

A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can set itself off again and again, and burn through your task count.
  • A big batch gets held back

When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, for example after a bulk import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold those items back.

FAQ

Moserbus Zapier integration: common questions

01Is the Moserbus Zapier integration free?
Yes, you can use it on the free plan, because Moserbus is not a premium app on Zapier. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, each limited to two steps: one trigger and one action. The stage alert above, with a filter in the middle, has three steps and needs a paid plan. Since every Moserbus trigger is instant, the free plan does not slow the start of your Zaps: the polling interval simply does not apply to them.
02How many tasks does a Moserbus Zap use?
One task for each action that succeeds, and nothing for the trigger. A Zap that copies each pushed deal into a sheet uses one task per push. Add an email after the sheet and every push costs two. A three-action Zap would cost three tasks on every push. An action that fails is not counted against your monthly plan either. The trigger stays free however many pushes or status changes reach Zapier, so the bill only follows the actions that go through.
03Does Moserbus trigger Zaps in real time?
Yes, all eight triggers are instant: Moserbus tells Zapier the moment the event happens, so the Zap starts right away on any plan. The catch is what the event is. For Update Stage and Update Status, it is the change itself. For the five Manual Push triggers, it is someone pushing the record by hand from Moserbus. No push, no event, so nothing reaches Zapier. A Zap built on an instant trigger shows a lightning bolt in the editor, which is a quick way to confirm it.
04What does it take to connect Moserbus to Zapier?
An account on Moserbus, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch. The connection is made once from the Apps page of Zapier: click + Add connection, search Moserbus, click Add connection, then sign in to Moserbus in the tab that opens and grant access. Every Moserbus step of every Zap then reuses that same connection, so there is nothing to set up twice when you build the next Zap.
05Why does Add Deal (Manual Push) not start the Zap?
Because creating the deal is not the event. Add Deal (Manual Push) fires when someone pushes the deal by hand from Moserbus, and the same goes for the partner and task triggers with Manual Push in their name. Publish the Zap first, then push a deal from Moserbus and check that the next steps receive it. A push made before the Zap was switched on is not picked up later, so the first real test only counts once the Zap is published.
06What if the Moserbus operation is not on the list?
Then the Zapier app cannot do it today. The Moserbus page on Zapier shows the current list of triggers and actions, so check it before you build. With 8 triggers and 3 actions, there is no trigger on deal or task creation without a push, and no search step to look up a record. In that case, check what Make or n8n offer for Moserbus, or rethink the flow around the operations that exist, for example by pushing records by hand when they are ready.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Moserbus?
Pick on criteria, not on a ranking. On Zapier you get 11 ready operations for Moserbus, all eight triggers instant, so the polling interval of your plan does not apply to them. Billing follows successful actions, so long Zaps cost more per run. On Make or n8n, first check that a Moserbus app exists with the event you need, then compare who will maintain the workflow and how each tool bills a run.
