What the net2rent Zapier integration does for you
The net2rent Zapier integration links your vacation rental management software to the rest of your tools. A booking that is confirmed, cancelled or checked in online, a budget, a contact or a payment starts an automation, and Zapier carries the details on. In the other direction, a Zap can create contacts, tasks and payments in net2rent, or confirm and cancel bookings.
A to-do for every confirmed stay. Booking Confirmed followed by Create Task puts a task in net2rent each time a booking is confirmed, so the preparation of the stay is never left to memory.
A team that hears about online check-ins. Booking CheckinOnline tells Zapier when a guest has completed online check-in, and the next step can post it wherever your team looks.
Payments logged outside net2rent. Payment Created/Updated sends each new or changed payment to the table where you follow cash in.
What Zapier does not do here: none of the six triggers fires on the creation of a booking: they cover bookings that are confirmed, cancelled or checked in online. The three searches look up a booking or a budget by its ID and a contact, and a Zap that uses one becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. A Zap does not go back over bookings made before you publish it. If you are comparing tools for the same job, open our Make vs Zapier or n8n vs Zapier comparison.
Zapier words in one minute
Eight terms come back on this page. Here they are, once, in plain words.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it, here a booking, budget, contact or payment event.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, such as a new task in net2rent.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts those.
- Instant vs polling trigger
- An instant trigger is reported by the app as it happens; a polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. All net2rent triggers are instant.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets the condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that looks up something that already exists in an app, such as a net2rent contact, so later steps can use what it found.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What a net2rent Zap really costs
net2rent is not a premium app, so it works from the free plan. The trigger never costs a task: only a completed action is billed.
- Free plan100 tasks a month
- Zaps on the free planUnlimited, two steps each
- Premium appNo
- net2rent triggers6 instant, 0 polling
Every action that succeeds counts on its own, so a Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap does. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter, a second action or any of the three searches makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan. The interval grid below is Zapier's for polling triggers; it does not apply to net2rent, whose six triggers are all instant.
Connect net2rent to Zapier in 3 steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, open Apps and click + Add connection. You need a net2rent account, plus read or write access on anything you do not own yourself and want the Zap to touch.
- 02
Find net2rent
Type net2rent in the search box of the dialog, pick it from the results and click Add connection. A new browser tab opens on the net2rent sign-in screen.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to net2rent in that tab, then grant Zapier access to the account. The connection is saved once and reused by every step of your Zaps that calls net2rent.
Your first Zap: a task for each confirmed booking, and a heads-up
GoalWhen a booking is confirmed in net2rent, create a preparation task in net2rent and post a message to your team chat.
- 01
Create the Zap
Start a new Zap, pick net2rent as the app that starts it and Booking Confirmed as the event, then choose the connection you made earlier.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you map the next steps on a real confirmed booking.
- 03
Add the task
Add the action Create Task. Summary is the one required field: write a short label and map in what you need from the booking, after checking at test which details it carries.
- 04
Post to the team
Add your team chat as the third step and map the task summary into the message. With three steps this is a multi-step Zap, so it needs a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step once and read what came back. When the task and the message look right, click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.
The 6 net2rent triggers
6 events start a Zap when something happens in net2rent, and 6 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
Booking Cancelled
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a booking is cancelled.”
Starts your Zap each time a booking is cancelled in net2rent, so the people who prepare the stay hear about it without checking the calendar.
Booking CheckinOnline
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a guest do checkin online.”
Reacts when a guest completes online check-in for a booking. It is the clearest sign that an arrival is getting close and that the guest has done their part.
Booking Confirmed
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a booking is confirmed.”
Goes off when a booking moves to confirmed. This is the moment a stay becomes real for the team, which makes it the natural start for preparation work.
Budget Created/Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a budget is created or updated.”
Fires both when a budget is created and when an existing one changes, so a revised quote is not missed.
Contact Created/Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a contact is created or updated.”
Runs when a contact is added to net2rent and again when one is edited. Your other tools can then hold the same version of each contact.
Payment Created/Updated
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a payment is created or updated.”
Catches every payment recorded on a booking, and every change made to one afterwards. Money coming in becomes something other tools can follow.
The 6 net2rent actions
net2rent gives you 6 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

The 3 net2rent searches
3 search steps look for data that already exists in net2rent, so a later step can use it.
A search step looks up something that already exists in net2rent and hands it to the steps that follow. In the editor, searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list under SEARCH. Any search makes the Zap multi-step. Three settings decide what happens when the result is not clean.
Find Booking
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a Booking in net2rent”
Looks up a booking from its Id, the required field, and passes its details to the next steps.
Find Budget
SearchIn Zapier“Finds a Budget in net2rent”
Retrieves a budget from its Id, which is required, so a later step can use what the budget holds.
Find Contact
SearchFind or createIn Zapier“Finds a Contact in net2rent”
Finds a net2rent contact so a later step can attach something to it. The editor also lists Find or Create Contact: it is this same search with the create box ticked, not another operation.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found?Left on its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap and skips the steps that relied on it. Switched on, the Zap carries on empty-handed.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet?Ticking it turns the search into a find-or-create: the setting above disappears and the step asks for the fields needed to create the missing item.
- If multiple search results are found?Three ways out when several items match: keep the first one (the default), stop the Zap, or hand all of them on at once.
When a net2rent Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article of its own to net2rent. What goes wrong comes from Zapier's general rules.
The three cases below apply to any Zap built on these triggers and actions. For a step that stops on an error, see our Zapier troubleshooting guide.
Earlier bookings are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Bookings, budgets and payments already in net2rent stay where they are; moving them is a separate job.A Zap that sets itself off
A Zap that writes into the very place its own trigger watches can start itself again and again and burn through your tasks. Check where each step writes.A sudden flood of events
When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a bulk import or a migration for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold those runs back.
