Overview

What the NMKR Zapier integration actually does

NMKR is a tool for creating and selling NFTs on the Cardano blockchain. Plugging it into Zapier means your NFT project reacts to the rest of your business on its own: a new mint can be logged elsewhere, and an event in another app can create a payment link or send an NFT to a wallet, without anyone copying UIDs by hand.

Three results people usually build first. A mint log: the New NFT Minted trigger watches one project and writes every new mint into a sheet or a CRM, so the team sees sales without opening NMKR Studio. A checkout on demand: Create Payment Link for Random NFT or its one-time sibling produces a link the moment a buyer qualifies, ready to drop into an email. An airdrop that runs itself: Mint and Send Random NFT to Address pushes an NFT to a Cardano wallet as soon as another app hands you the address.

Now the part the official page skips. There is a single trigger, and it only covers new mints: nothing fires on a payment, a new project or an upload. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot look up an NFT or a project by name; it needs the UID already in hand. And every mint action draws on the Mint Coupons of your NMKR Studio account, which Zapier does not top up for you.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.

Zap
The automation you build in Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier sits and waits for that event.
Action
What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or creates something for you in an app.
Task
The unit Zapier bills. One task equals one action your Zap completed successfully, and your plan counts those.
Polling vs instant
A polling trigger is checked on a timer, Zapier asking the app what is new. An instant one is reported by the app the moment it happens.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap that goes beyond one trigger plus one action. A second action or a filter turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
Cost

What an NMKR Zap really costs

NMKR is not a premium app, so it works on the free Zapier plan. What you pay for is tasks, and only some steps use them.

  • Trigger0 tasks
  • Each successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps
  • Premium appNo

Watching for new mints costs nothing, however often Zapier looks: the trigger never uses a task. Each action that succeeds counts as one task, and in a Zap with three actions every success counts on its own, so that Zap eats three times more than a one-action Zap. A failed action is not billed. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only. The moment you add a filter or a second action, the Zap becomes multi-step and you are on a paid plan.

Connect

Connect your NMKR account in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

In Zapier, go to the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A connection is your NMKR account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap that touches NMKR.

  2. 02

    Pick NMKR

Type NMKR in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. You need an existing NMKR account, plus access to any project you do not own but want the Zap to work on.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

A new tab opens on NMKR. Sign in with the account that holds your minting projects and allow Zapier to act on it. Back in Zapier, the connection appears in the list, ready for any step.

First Zap

Your first Zap with NMKR

GoalLog every new mint of a project in a sheet, then email the team.

  1. 01

    Create the Zap

Start a new Zap, choose NMKR as the app that starts it and New NFT Minted as the event. Select the connection you set up a minute ago.

  2. 02

    Set the trigger

Paste the Project UID of the drop you want to watch. Only mints in that project will start the Zap, so one Zap covers one project.

  3. 03

    Test the trigger

Run the test: Zapier brings back the three most recent mints of the project, so you can pick a real one and map its data in the next steps.

  4. 04

    Add the actions

Add the sheet row, then the email, and map the NFT fields between steps. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test each action once and read what came back. When the row and the email look right, click Publish to switch the Zap on.

Triggers

The NMKR trigger

1 event starts a Zap when something happens in NMKR. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.

1

New NFT Minted

Polling trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when a new NFT gets minted in a specified project.”

Starts your Zap each time an NFT is minted inside the project you name. Each mint arrives as its own run, so a sale of five NFTs gives five runs.

How it fires
Zapier goes and looks at regular intervals, and how often depends on your plan: every 15 minutes on the free one
When to use it
you want a sales log, a thank-you email or a Slack ping without opening NMKR Studio after each drop.
Watch out
the Project UID is required, so watching two collections means two Zaps, one per UID.
Actions

The 10 NMKR actions, by intention

NMKR gives you 10 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Check if Address Meets Sale Conditions

Action

In Zapier“Checks if an address is eligible to purchase an NFT from an NFT Minting project”

Tells you whether a given Cardano wallet may buy a given number of NFTs from a project.

When to use it
a whitelist sale, where only holders who qualify should receive a payment link.
Watch out
it only answers the question. Pair it with a filter to stop the Zap for wallets that fail, which makes the Zap multi-step.
2

Check Payment Link Status

Action

In Zapier“Checks if a Payment has already been made and returns information about it.”

Asks NMKR whether a payment through a link has gone through, and returns its details.

When to use it
before you send a welcome pack or unlock a perk, confirm the buyer actually paid.
Watch out
it works from the Payment Transaction UID, so keep that value from the step that created the link.
3

Create One-Time Payment Link for Random NFT

Action

In Zapier“Creates a one-time payment link for a random NFT in a specified NFT Minting project. This link can only be used once.”

Same random checkout as above, except the link dies after one use.

When to use it
each qualified buyer should get a personal link that cannot be forwarded to a whole Discord server.
Watch out
generate it inside the Zap per buyer; a link stored and resent to a second person will not work again.
4

Create Payment Link for Random NFT

Action

In Zapier“Creates a payment link for a random NFT in a specified NFT Minting project.”

Generates a checkout link that sells the buyer a random NFT from the project you point to.

When to use it
mystery drops, where a lead from your form receives a link to buy one piece from the collection without choosing it.
Watch out
unlike the one-time version below, this link is not limited to a single use, so treat it as shareable.
5

Create Payment Link for Specific NFT

Action

In Zapier“Creates a payment link for a specific NFT.”

Builds a payment link for one precise NFT rather than a random pick.

When to use it
a collector reserved a given piece on your site and the link has to point to exactly that one.
Watch out
it needs the NFT UID, not the project UID, and there is no search step to find that UID by name.
6

Create New NFT Minting Project

Action

In Zapier“Creates a new empty NFT Minting Project”

Opens a fresh, empty minting project in NMKR, ready to receive NFTs.

When to use it
a client signs up for a collection and you want the project waiting before the artwork lands.
Watch out
it asks for a name, a policy expiry and a payout wallet. Once the policy expires, no new NFT can be minted under that project.
7

Mint and Send Random NFT to Address

Action

In Zapier“Mints and Sends a random NFT to a specified wallet address. Requires the NMKR Studio Account to have enough Mint Coupons available.”

Mints a random NFT from the project and sends it straight to the wallet you give.

When to use it
airdrops to event attendees or rewards for a completed course, where the piece itself does not matter.
Watch out
your NMKR Studio account must hold enough Mint Coupons, or the action fails.
8

Mint and Send Specific NFT to Address

Action

In Zapier“Mints and Sends a specific NFT to a specified wallet address. Requires the NMKR Studio Account to have enough Mint Coupons available.”

Mints one chosen NFT and delivers it to a Cardano wallet address.

When to use it
a one-of-one prize or a ticket tied to a named seat, where the exact token counts.
Watch out
it needs the project UID and the NFT UID together, and it also spends Mint Coupons from your account.
9

Sign in to NMKR Wallet via Email

Action

In Zapier“By calling this endpoint a new NMKR Wallet gets created or an existing wallet gets opened.”

Creates an NMKR Wallet for an email address, or opens the existing one, by sending a signup link there.

When to use it
your buyers are new to crypto and need a wallet before you can send them anything.
Watch out
the person still has to click the link in the email; the Zap cannot finish the signup for them.
10

Upload New NFT to NFT Minting Project

Action

In Zapier“Uploads a new unminted NFT to an existing NFT Minting project.”

Adds a new, not yet minted NFT to an existing project, from an image link.

When to use it
designers drop finished artwork in a shared folder or a form and the NFT should appear in the project right away.
Watch out
the token name must be under 32 characters, without special characters, and unique in the project. Images go in as PNG, JPG or GIF.
When it breaks

When an NMKR Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to NMKR, so the cases below come from how every Zap behaves, plus one rule written into the NMKR actions themselves.

One reassurance first: on a polling trigger, Zapier remembers the mints it has already seen, so the same NFT does not start the Zap twice. The real risks sit elsewhere. If a run fails, start with our Zapier troubleshooting guide.

  • The Zap feeds itself

Watch a project with New NFT Minted, then mint into that same project from the Zap: every mint fires a new run, which mints again and drains your tasks fast.
  • Mints from before are ignored

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. NFTs minted earlier never come through; moving that history is a separate job.
  • A big drop gets held back

When a trigger suddenly returns a huge batch, after a bulk mint for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold the runs back.
  • Out of Mint Coupons

Both mint and send actions need enough Mint Coupons on the NMKR Studio account. When they run out, the action fails and the NFT is not sent.

FAQ

NMKR Zapier integration: frequent questions

01Is the NMKR Zapier integration free?
Yes, as long as your Zap stays simple. NMKR is not a premium app, so it runs on the free Zapier plan, which includes 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: one trigger, one action. The NMKR account itself is separate from Zapier. The moment your Zap needs a second action or a filter, for instance to check a wallet before minting, it becomes a multi-step Zap and requires a paid plan.
02How many tasks does an NMKR Zap use?
One task per action that succeeds, and nothing for the trigger. Zapier checking for new mints is free however often it looks. A Zap that logs a mint in a sheet uses one task per mint; a Zap that checks sale conditions, creates a payment link and sends an email uses three per run. An action that fails is not counted. Keep an eye on bulk mints, since each NFT minted is its own run and its own set of tasks.
03Does NMKR trigger Zaps in real time?
No. New NFT Minted is a polling trigger: Zapier asks NMKR at a fixed interval what has been minted since its last look. On the free plan that check happens every 15 minutes, on Professional every 2 minutes, and on Team or Enterprise every minute. On paid plans you can also run a check by hand from the editor. If the delay matters, for a live event say, plan your messaging around it rather than promising instant confirmations.
04What does it take to connect NMKR to Zapier?
An NMKR account, and access to any project you want the Zap to touch if someone else owns it. In Zapier you open the Apps page, click + Add connection, choose NMKR, sign in on the tab that opens and grant access. Before building, have your Project UID ready: the trigger and most actions require it. For specific NFTs you also need the NFT UID, and for minting a Cardano wallet address to send to.
05Why does an NMKR mint action fail?
Most often because the NMKR Studio account ran out of Mint Coupons. Both Mint and Send Random NFT to Address and Mint and Send Specific NFT to Address require enough coupons, and without them the action stops. Other usual causes are a wrong Project UID or NFT UID, or a receiver wallet address that is not a Cardano one. A failed action does not cost a task, but the NFT is not sent, so check the Zap history after a large drop.
06What if the NMKR action you need is not on the list?
Then Zapier cannot do it for NMKR today. The integration has one trigger and ten actions, and nothing fires on a new payment, a new project or an upload. There is no search step either, so a Zap cannot look up an NFT or a project by its name. The workaround is to keep UIDs in another app, a sheet for example, and pass them along. Looking a UID up in that sheet is a search step, so the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for NMKR?
It depends on your criteria rather than on a winner. Zapier offers a ready NMKR integration with one trigger and ten actions, and a free plan that covers a two-step Zap. If you need many steps per run, the task count adds up quickly, which is where the pricing models of Make and n8n are worth comparing. If your team writes no code at all, a ready connector usually weighs more than price. Check which operations each tool exposes for NMKR before choosing.
