Overview

Why plug Notifly into Zapier

The Notifly Zapier integration lets another app tell Notifly to launch one of your campaigns. A Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then one or more steps that run every time) watches your other tool, then calls the Trigger Campaign action with the parameters you choose.

Three things you get out of that single action. A welcome sequence for every new lead that shows up in your form tool or your sheet, launched by Trigger Campaign with no one clicking anything. A follow-up campaign tied to a sales event, such as a deal marked as won in your CRM, with the customer's details passed as parameters. And a reactivation push you launch from a spreadsheet: add a row, and Notifly sends the campaign you picked for that segment.

Now the limits, since the Zapier listing won't spell them out. Notifly exposes no trigger, so nothing that happens inside Notifly (an open, a click, an unsubscribe) can start a Zap. There is no search either, so a Zap can't look up a contact or a campaign in Notifly: you copy the campaign ID yourself. If your plan is two-way sync between Notifly and your CRM, Zapier won't get you there with this app.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Seven words come back all over this page. Here they are in plain language, once.

Zap
The automation itself: one starting event, then one or more steps that run every single time that event happens.
Trigger
The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier sits and waits for it. Notifly has none.
Action
What the Zap does once it has started: the step that writes, sends or launches something for you, here a Notifly campaign.
Task
The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. The number on your plan counts exactly those.
Polling vs instant trigger
Polling: Zapier checks the app on a timer. Instant: the app calls Zapier the moment the event happens, so nothing waits.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it quietly otherwise.
Multi-step Zap
Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action, a filter or a search makes it one, and it needs a paid plan.
Cost

What it really costs

Notifly is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. What you pay for is tasks, and only one step here can eat them.

  • Premium appNo, free plan works
  • Free plan100 tasks a month
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps: 1 trigger, 1 action
  • Cost of a trigger0 tasks

The trigger in the other app never costs a task, however often Zapier checks it. Each Trigger Campaign that goes through counts as one task; one that fails counts for nothing. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps only, one trigger and one action. Add a filter to send only some rows to Notifly, and you have a multi-step Zap that needs a paid plan. And with several actions in one Zap, each successful one counts on its own, so a three-action Zap eats three times more.

Connect

Connect your Notifly account

  1. 01

    Open the Apps page

In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Notifly account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that needs it.

  2. 02

    Pick Notifly

Type Notifly in the search box of the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. You need an existing Notifly account before you start; Zapier won't create one for you.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

A new tab opens on Notifly. Sign in, then allow Zapier to reach the account. If the campaigns you plan to launch belong to a teammate, make sure your login can actually use them.

First Zap

Your first Zap: a new row launches a campaign

GoalEach new lead added to a sheet gets the right Notifly campaign, and only qualified rows go through.

  1. 01

    Build the start

Create a Zap, pick the app and the event that start it, here a new row in your sheet. Test it: Zapier brings back the three most recent rows so you map fields on a real one.

  2. 02

    Add a filter

Click the plus icon, choose Filter, then set the field, the rule and the value. A text rule only works on text. This step makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  3. 03

    Add Trigger Campaign

Pick Notifly as the next app and Trigger Campaign as the event. Paste the campaign ID from Notifly, fill the type field, then map the row values you want passed as parameters.

  4. 04

    Test the action

Run the step once and read what comes back before going further. A real test launches the campaign, so point it at a test contact rather than a live list.

  5. 05

    Publish

Click Publish to switch the Zap on. From then on, every new qualified row launches the campaign, and each successful launch counts as one task.

Actions

The Notifly action on Zapier

Notifly gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Trigger Campaign

Action

In Zapier“Triggers the selected Campaign with the supplied parameters”

Launches one of your Notifly campaigns and passes it the values your earlier steps collected, like a name or a plan picked in a form.

When to use it
a lead fills in a demo request and you want the onboarding campaign to follow without anyone launching it by hand.
Watch out
the campaign ID is pasted by hand, so if someone deletes or recreates that campaign in Notifly, the Zap points at nothing until you update it.
When it breaks

When it breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Notifly, so the known failure points are the ones every Zap shares.

Four of them hit a campaign Zap hard, because a wrong launch lands in someone's inbox. If one stops you, our Zapier troubleshooting guide walks through the fixes.

  • No catch-up on old records

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you switch it on. Leads already sitting in your sheet won't get the campaign; moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • The loop that eats your tasks

If a later step writes back into the very sheet your trigger watches, the Zap sets itself off again and again, and launches the campaign each time.
  • Bulk imports held back

Paste hundreds of rows at once and the trigger returns a huge batch. Zapier's flood protection can hold it back instead of firing every launch.
  • Duplicates are filtered out

On a polling trigger Zapier remembers what it has already seen, so the same row never launches the campaign twice.

FAQ

Notifly Zapier integration: FAQ

01Is the Notifly Zapier integration free?
Yes, it runs on the free Zapier plan, since Notifly is not a premium app. That plan gives you 100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps and polling every 15 minutes. The catch is the Zap size: the free plan only builds two-step Zaps, one trigger and one action. A trigger in your sheet followed by Trigger Campaign fits. Add a filter to keep only some leads, and the Zap becomes multi-step and needs a paid plan.
02How many tasks does a Notifly Zap use?
One task per campaign launch that succeeds. The trigger in the other app costs nothing, and Zapier checking for new data costs nothing either, however often it looks. A launch that fails is not counted against your plan. So if your sheet gets forty qualified leads in a month, expect forty tasks, plus one more for every other action you add to the same Zap, since each successful action counts on its own.
03Does Notifly react in real time?
It depends on the app that starts the Zap, since Notifly has no trigger of its own. If that app reports events to Zapier itself (an instant trigger), the campaign launches straight away whatever your plan. If Zapier has to check it on a timer (a polling trigger), the delay follows your plan: 15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise. Instant Zaps show a lightning bolt in the editor.
04What do you need to connect Notifly to Zapier?
A Notifly account, and access to the campaigns you want the Zap to launch. From the Apps page in Zapier you click + Add connection, search for Notifly, sign in in the tab that opens and grant access. Then keep the campaign ID at hand: Trigger Campaign refuses to run without it, and you copy it from Notifly yourself. A second required field, type, also has to be filled before the step will test.
05Why would a Zap launch the wrong Notifly campaign?
Almost always because of the campaign ID. Zapier doesn't list your Notifly campaigns for you: the ID is pasted by hand, so a copy error, or a campaign deleted and rebuilt in Notifly with a new ID, sends the Zap somewhere else or nowhere. Check the ID in the Trigger Campaign step after any change on the Notifly side, and run a test against a test contact before republishing. One wrong ID can reach a whole list.
06What if the Notifly operation you need isn't there?
Then Zapier can't do it with this app today. Notifly offers a single action, Trigger Campaign, and no trigger or search. Starting a Zap from a Notifly event, updating a contact, or reading campaign results are all out of reach here. The usual workaround is to keep the logic upstream: let your form, sheet or CRM decide, and only call Notifly at the end to launch the right campaign. Notifly then does what it does best.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Notifly?
Judge by your criteria rather than by a ranking. Zapier gives you the Trigger Campaign action ready to use, with the free plan covering a simple two-step Zap. If you need branching logic, many steps per run or self-hosting, compare how each platform prices runs and whether it offers a ready-made Notifly connector or makes you call the app another way. Your volume and your team's comfort with technical setups decide it.
