What the Oveit Zapier integration is for
The Oveit Zapier integration sends what happens in your Oveit event registration to other apps through Zapier. It works in one direction only: Oveit starts the Zap, another tool does the work. Two events are available, a completed order and a ticket issued or edited. No code, and Oveit works on the free plan.
Three results event organizers build first. A live sales log: New Order adds each completed order to a spreadsheet the whole team can read, without anyone exporting a file. A guest list that stays current: New or Updated Ticket pushes each ticket to your CRM or mailing tool, and pushes it again when someone edits it. And a heads-up for the team: a message in your chat app every time an order goes through.
Both triggers are instant. Oveit warns Zapier itself, so the waiting time the free plan puts between checks never applies.
What Zapier does not do for Oveit: it cannot write anything into Oveit. There is no action to create an order, issue a ticket or change an attendee, and no search to look one up. Oveit is always the starting point of the Zap, never a destination. Orders and tickets that existed before the Zap was switched on are not picked up either.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words you will see in the editor. One read and the rest of the page is easy going.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is on, Zapier waits for it; here, an order or a ticket in Oveit.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you, in a tool other than Oveit.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills. One task is one action your Zap completes successfully, and your plan gives you a set number.
- Instant vs polling trigger
- An instant trigger is reported by the app as the event happens. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a fixed timer.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it the rest of the time.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes it one, and it then requires a paid plan.
What it really costs
Zapier bills tasks, not Zaps. The Oveit trigger costs nothing; each successful action in your other tools does.
- Oveit trigger0 tasks
- Each successful action1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2 steps per Zap
- Oveit on the free planYes, not a paid-only app
One task per successful action: a Zap that logs an order in a sheet and posts a chat message uses two tasks per order. A failed action is not counted. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, but each Zap stops at two steps, one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action means a paid plan. The plans also set how often Zapier checks polling triggers; Oveit has none, so that grid is listed for reference.
Connect Oveit to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your connections
In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. You need an Oveit account, and access rights on any event you do not own yourself but want the Zap to read.
- 02
Find Oveit
Search for Oveit by name in the dialog, select it, then click Add connection. That connection is your Oveit account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every Zap you build on it.
- 03
Sign in and grant access
Sign in to Oveit in the tab that opens, then allow Zapier to access the account. The connection then appears in your Zapier list, ready for the first Zap.
Your first Zap: every Oveit order in a sheet and a message
GoalEach completed Oveit order lands as a row in a shared sheet, and the team gets a chat message about it.
- 01
Build: pick the trigger
Start a new Zap, choose Oveit as the app and New Order as the event, then select the Oveit connection you set up a moment ago.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent orders of the account, so you map the next steps on a real order rather than an empty one.
- 03
Add the sheet
Add your spreadsheet app as the first action and map the order details from Oveit into the matching columns of your shared sales log.
- 04
Add the message
Add your chat app as a second action and write a short note that picks the buyer's name from the order. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, on a paid plan.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each action once and check the sheet and the channel. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on for every order that follows.
Oveit triggers on Zapier
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Oveit, and 2 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.
New Order
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new order is complete.”
Starts the Zap once an Oveit order is complete. It is the event for anything tied to money coming in: a sales log, a thank-you message, a revenue tally for the event.
New or Updated Ticket
Instant triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new ticket is issued or edited.”
Reacts to tickets rather than orders: a ticket issued in Oveit, or a ticket someone edits afterwards. This is the trigger for attendee-level work, one ticket at a time.
When an Oveit Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Oveit and the source gives no limit specific to the app. These are the general traps, applied to event sales.
Most surprises come from how the Zap is built, not from Oveit. Four cases are worth checking before an event goes on sale. If a Zap still misbehaves, see Zapier troubleshooting.
Earlier sales are not picked up
A Zap only reacts to what happens after it is switched on. Orders and tickets already in Oveit stay out; bringing that history over is a separate job.One ticket, several runs
New or Updated Ticket starts again on each edit of a ticket. If your action always creates a new record, the same attendee ends up listed twice in the other tool.A big batch gets held back
When a trigger suddenly sends a huge batch, after a mass ticket import for example, Zapier's flood protection can hold that batch back instead of running all of it.A filter that never passes
Filter rules are typed. A text rule on a number, or a number rule on text, means the condition is never met and the Zap stops at the filter every time.
