Parsd AI by Capella Solutions Zapier integrationAutomate Parsd AI by Capella Solutions with Zapier.
The Parsd AI by Capella Solutions Zapier integration gives you 2 triggers, 0 actions and 0 searches. In plain terms, Zapier can notice a new upload or a finished parse in Parsd AI and pass it to another app, but it cannot write anything back.

What the Parsd AI by Capella Solutions Zapier integration actually does
Parsd AI turns documents into data. Connected to Zapier, it becomes the starting point of a Zap (an automation that waits for one event, then runs steps in other apps). The event comes from one of two triggers: a document lands in a dataset, or its parsing is done. Everything that happens next lives in another tool.
Three outcomes you can build with what is there. A log of incoming files: New Document adds a line somewhere every time someone uploads into a chosen dataset, so the person in charge sees the queue without opening Parsd AI. A clean hand-off of extracted data: Document Parsed waits for the extraction to finish, then sends the result to a sheet, a CRM or an accounting tool. A heads-up for the team: the same parse trigger can post a message to whoever validates the output.
Now the part the app page does not spell out. There is no action and no search for Parsd AI on Zapier. A Zap cannot upload a file into Parsd AI, start a parse, or look up a document that already exists. If your plan was to collect invoices from an inbox and push them into Parsd AI automatically, this integration does not cover that leg. It only listens.
Both triggers also work by polling, not by push, so the delay depends on your Zapier plan (details in the cost section). If you are still weighing tools, the n8n vs Zapier comparison and the Zapier review sit next to this page.
Zapier vocabulary in one minute
Seven words come back on every Zapier page. Here they are once, in plain English.
- Zap
- Your automation on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions each time it happens. Here, the trigger is always a Parsd AI dataset event.
- Trigger
- The event in an app that starts the Zap. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it. Parsd AI offers two.
- Action
- What the Zap does after it starts: the step that writes, sends or moves something for you. Parsd AI has none, so actions live elsewhere.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. With Parsd AI, every task is spent in the destination app.
- Polling vs instant
- Polling: Zapier asks the app for new items on a timer. Instant: the app tells Zapier right away. Both Parsd AI triggers poll.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when what arrived meets your condition. Adding one makes a Parsd AI Zap multi-step, so paid.
- Search step
- A step that finds something already stored in an app so later steps can reuse it. Parsd AI offers no search on Zapier.
What it really costs
Zapier does not class Parsd AI as a premium app. Its two document triggers, upload and parse, are therefore both open on the free plan.
- Premium appNo, works on the free plan
- Tasks on the free plan100 per month
- Zap size on the free planTwo steps: one trigger, one action
- Cost of a Parsd AI triggerZero tasks
Watching Parsd AI costs nothing. The trigger never uses a task, however often Zapier checks. You pay for each action that succeeds in the other app; a failed one is not counted. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and two-step Zaps only: one trigger, one action. Add a second action or a filter and you need a paid plan. Also note that a few apps take more than one task for some actions, so the destination app decides part of the bill.
Connect Parsd AI to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open your apps
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box. You need an existing Parsd AI account before going further.
- 02
Find Parsd AI
Type the app name in the dialog, pick Parsd AI by Capella Solutions from the list, then click Add connection. A new tab then opens on the Parsd AI side.
- 03
Sign in and allow access
Log in to Parsd AI in that tab and grant Zapier access. Use the account that owns the datasets you plan to watch: the connection is saved once, and every Parsd AI Zap reuses it.
Your first Parsd AI Zap
GoalSend each parsed document to a spreadsheet row, then ping the reviewer in Slack.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Start a new Zap and set its first step to Parsd AI by Capella Solutions with the Document Parsed event, the one that fires after extraction rather than on upload. Then pick the Parsd AI connection made above.
- 02
Choose the dataset
Pick the dataset to watch in the required Dataset field. Only parses finished in that dataset will start this Zap, so one dataset per workflow keeps things readable.
- 03
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent parsed documents of the account, so you map the next steps on a real one rather than on a guess.
- 04
Add the actions
Add the spreadsheet step, map the parsed values into columns, then add the Slack message. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, which needs a paid plan. On the free plan, stop after the sheet.
- 05
Test and publish
Test each action once and check what landed in the sheet and in the channel. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.
Parsd AI triggers
2 events start a Zap when something happens in Parsd AI by Capella Solutions. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Document
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a document is uploaded.”
This one starts your Zap when a file is uploaded into the dataset you picked, before any extraction has happened. It tells you something arrived, not what is inside it.
Document Parsed
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a document parsing completes.”
Here the Zap waits until Parsd AI has finished turning a document into data, then hands the result to the next step. This is the trigger that carries the extracted content.
When it breaks
No Zapier help article covers Parsd AI. What follows comes from Zapier's general rules, applied to a Zap that watches a dataset.
With this integration, what goes wrong tends to be about timing and history rather than the connection itself. Read these before you switch the Zap on, and keep the Zapier troubleshooting page at hand.
Old documents never show up
Publishing a Zap does not reach back in time. Documents already parsed in the dataset stay out of it; moving that backlog is a separate job.The dataset list is empty
Both triggers require a dataset. If the connected account has none, or not the one you expect, there is nothing to pick and the trigger cannot be saved.A bulk upload gets held back
If a large batch of documents appears at once, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold the trigger back instead of running everything. The same document does not run twice
On a polling trigger, Zapier keeps track of the documents it has already seen, so the same parse never starts the Zap twice and your sheet stays free of duplicates.
