Paytm Payment Gateway Zapier integrationAutomate Paytm Payment Gateway with Zapier.
The Paytm Payment Gateway Zapier integration gives you 4 actions and 9 searches, with no trigger of its own. Another app starts the Zap, then Paytm creates payment links, issues refunds, manages subscriptions or pulls orders and settlements for you.

What the Paytm Payment Gateway Zapier integration does
The Paytm Payment Gateway Zapier integration lets your other tools give orders to Paytm, the payment platform businesses use to collect money, refund it and track settlements. Paytm never starts a Zap itself: something happens in another app, and Zapier tells Paytm what to do next or fetches what Paytm already knows.
Three outcomes people build first. A payment link for every new order: a row, a form entry or a deal in another tool calls Create Payment Link, so nobody types the same order twice. Refunds handled from your support desk: a ticket marked for refund calls Create Refund with the transaction and the amount, and the agent never logs in to the Paytm dashboard. A settlement report that fills itself: a form your finance lead submits runs Fetch All Settlements and copies the results to the sheet your finance team reads.
What Zapier does not do here: it cannot start a Zap when a payment arrives, because Paytm Payment Gateway exposes no trigger on Zapier. If you want to react to a payment, the event has to come from somewhere else, such as your shop or your CRM. There is also no find-or-create search, and Cancel Subscription is final. Nothing before the Zap went live is picked up either.

Zapier vocabulary in one minute
A handful of Zapier words come back on every line of this page. Here they are in plain English.
- Zap
- The automation you build: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time the trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts the Zap. Paytm has none on Zapier, so the trigger always comes from another app.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started: here, creating a link, refunding, or changing a subscription in Paytm.
- Task
- What Zapier bills you for: one action your Zap completed successfully. Your plan is a count of those.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked on a timer set by your plan. An instant trigger is reported by its app the moment it happens.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap continue only when the incoming data meets your condition, and stops it otherwise.
- Search step
- A step that reads something that already exists in an app, so the next steps can use what it found.
- Connection
- Your Paytm account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that talks to Paytm in any of your Zaps.
What a Paytm Zap costs you
Paytm Payment Gateway is not a premium app, so it works on the free plan. You pay in tasks, and only actions that go through count.
- Free plan100 tasks per month, unlimited Zaps
- Free plan stepsOne trigger and one action
- Search or filterMakes the Zap multi-step
- Paytm on ZapierNot premium, works on every plan
The trigger, whichever app it comes from, never costs a task. Each successful action counts as one task, so a Zap with three actions uses three times what a one-action Zap uses. An action that fails is not counted. The free plan stops at two steps: one trigger and one action. Add a search, a filter or a second action and the Zap becomes multi-step, which needs a paid plan. Since most Paytm scenarios chain a search before an action, budget for a paid plan early. The grid below sets how often a polling trigger in the other app is checked.
Connect Paytm Payment Gateway to Zapier
- 01
Start from the Apps page
In Zapier, open Apps and click + Add connection. Type Paytm Payment Gateway in the search box of the dialog and select it. You need a Paytm account first, with access to the orders and subscriptions the Zap will touch.
- 02
Sign in to Paytm
Click Add connection. A new tab opens on Paytm: sign in with the merchant account whose payments, refunds and settlements you want Zapier to work with.
- 03
Grant access
Allow Zapier into the account. The connection is saved once and every Paytm step in every Zap reuses it, so building your second Zap skips this part entirely.
Your first Paytm Zap: a payment link per order
GoalEach new order added to a shared sheet gets its own Paytm payment link, and only orders marked ready go through.
- 01
Pick the trigger
Create a Zap and choose the app where orders land, here a spreadsheet, with its new row event. Paytm cannot start a Zap, so this first step always belongs to another tool.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rows of the sheet, so you map the next steps on a real order instead of an empty sample.
- 03
Add a filter
Add a Filter step from the plus icon: pick the status column, a text rule, and the value Ready. Orders still being drafted stop here. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.
- 04
Add the Paytm action
Add Paytm Payment Gateway with Create Payment Link. Choose the link type, then map the order name and description from the row, since the customer reads both.
- 05
Test, then publish
Test each step and check the link Paytm returns. When it looks right, click Publish. From then on, each new ready row gets its link; older rows are left alone.
Paytm Payment Gateway actions
Paytm Payment Gateway gives you 4 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Cancel Subscription
ActionIn Zapier“Permanently cancels a Paytm subscription. This action cannot be undone.”
Ends a Paytm subscription for good. There is no undo: once the step runs, the subscription is gone.
Create Payment Link
ActionIn Zapier“Create and share payment links.”
Builds a Paytm link your customer opens to pay, with a name and a description they will see on screen. You can let them pay in several parts, or tie the link to their mobile number.
Create Refund
ActionIn Zapier“Create full or partial refunds.”
Sends money back to a customer, in full or in part, for an existing Paytm transaction. You pass the transaction, the order, a reference of your own and the amount.
Pause or Resume Subscription
ActionIn Zapier“Pause or resume an active subscription.”
Puts an active Paytm subscription on hold, or starts it again, depending on the target status you choose in the step.
Paytm Payment Gateway searches
9 search steps look for data that already exists in Paytm Payment Gateway, so a later step can use it.
A search step reads what Paytm already holds and hands it to the steps that follow. In the editor, the nine Paytm searches sit at the bottom of the Action event list, under SEARCH. Four of them return everything in a date range; the others go into the detail of one order, one link, one refund, the transactions behind settlements, or one subscription. Paytm has no find-or-create variant, so none of them creates anything. Three settings shape what happens next.
Fetch All Orders
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch all orders within a date range.”
Pulls every order between two dates, narrowed by transaction type and order status, a page at a time.
Fetch All Payment Links
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch all payment links within a date range.”
Lists the payment links you created over a date range, with the option to keep only those still active.
Fetch All Refunds
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch all refunds within a date range.”
Returns the refunds issued between a start date and an end date, and can sort them by refund date.
Fetch All Settlements
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch all settlements within a date range.”
Brings back the settlements Paytm paid out to you over a time window, page by page.
Fetch Order Details
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch payment and settlement details of an order.”
Looks up one order from its transaction ID and returns its payment details, with settlement information if you tick the option.
Fetch Payment Link Details
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch details for a payment link.”
Reads one payment link from its link ID and the transactions made against it, failed attempts included if you ask for them.
Fetch Refund Details
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch refund details for an order.”
Retrieves a single refund using the reference you chose when issuing it, together with its order ID.
Fetch Settlement Details
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch transaction level details for a merchant settlement.”
Goes one level deeper than the settlement list and returns the transactions behind each payout in a time window.
Fetch Subscription Details
SearchIn Zapier“Fetch subscription status and payment details for your account.”
Gets the status and payment details of a subscription on your account. It is the simplest check to run before either subscription action touches anything.
The three settings every search exposes
- Successful if no search results are found? On its default, a search that finds nothing stops the Zap there and skips the steps that depended on it. Switched on, the Zap continues with nothing in hand.
- Create X if it doesn't exist yet? This box turns a search into find-or-create. Paytm offers no such variant, so expect a lookup and nothing more.
- If multiple search results are found?Matters for the date-range searches: keep the first result (the default), stop the Zap, or pass every result on at once.
When a Paytm Zap breaks
Zapier links no help article to Paytm Payment Gateway and documents no limit specific to it. The failures to expect come from Zapier itself and from the required fields of the Paytm steps.
Check these first when a Zap stops or does something you did not expect. The Zapier troubleshooting page goes further.
Past orders are not processed
A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Orders already in your sheet or shop before that stay untouched; handling them is a separate job.A cancellation cannot be reversed
Cancel Subscription is permanent. If the trigger fires by mistake, the subscription is gone, so guard the step with a filter. The refund is refused
Create Refund asks for an amount no higher than the order amount and a reference that has never been used. Reusing an old reference or overshooting stops the step. The Zap loops on itself
If a Zap writes into the very place its trigger watches, such as the same sheet, it starts again and again and burns through your tasks.A bulk import is slowed down
When the trigger app suddenly returns a huge batch, after an import or a migration, Zapier's flood protection can hold it back.A date-range search misses items
The date-range searches work page by page. With a small page size and a single run, part of the period simply never comes back.
