Overview

What the Peblo Zapier integration does for a creator business

The Peblo Zapier integration links your Peblo account to the rest of your tools. Peblo handles brand deals and the payments that follow them. Zapier, an automation service, listens to those deal and payout events and passes them on, or writes new deals into Peblo from another app. Seven operations in all, every one of them usable on the free plan.

A deal log that fills itself. Starting from Brand Deal Approved, every deal Peblo approves can land in the sheet or board where your team plans content, with nobody copying it over.

Deals typed once. Create Brand Deal takes a deal signed somewhere else (a form, a CRM record) and opens it in Peblo with the client, the brand, the amount and the payment terms in days.

A payout signal for the whole team. Creator Paid and Agency Paid confirm that a payment went through, which is the moment to thank the creator or close the file with the agency.

What it does not do: there is no search, so a Zap cannot look up an existing deal by name, and the deal ID has to come from an earlier step. There is no trigger for a newly created deal either, only for its approval or rejection. And Zapier never moves money here: it hears about payments, it does not send them.

Vocabulary

Zapier vocabulary in one minute

Eight words come back on every Zapier screen. Here they are in plain English, and Zapier training goes further if you want it.

Zap
The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run each time that trigger event happens.
Trigger
The event that starts a Zap, here something that happens in Peblo. Once the Zap is switched on, Zapier waits for it.
Action
The step the Zap carries out after it starts: the part that writes, sends or changes something, like editing a deal in Peblo.
Task
What Zapier bills: one action that completes successfully. The allowance on your plan is a count of those.
Instant vs polling
An instant trigger is reported by the app the moment the event occurs. A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer. Peblo's four are instant.
Filter
A step that lets the Zap carry on only when what arrived meets a condition you set, and stops it otherwise.
Search step
A step that looks up something already stored in an app so the next steps can use it. Peblo offers none on Zapier.
Connection
Your Peblo account linked to Zapier once, then reused by every step that touches Peblo, in any Zap you build.
Cost

What Peblo costs you in Zapier tasks

The four Peblo triggers never cost a task. Only an action that goes through counts: one Create Brand Deal that works is one task, one that fails is nothing.

  • Peblo trigger0 tasks
  • Successful action1 task
  • Free plan100 tasks a month
  • Free plan Zap size2 steps

Peblo is not reserved for paid plans, so it runs on the free plan: 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps, one trigger plus one action. A second action, a filter or a search step makes it a multi-step Zap, and that needs a paid plan. The interval grid below only governs polling triggers, which Zapier checks on a timer. Peblo's are instant, so they fire straight away on every plan, free one included.

Connect

Connect Peblo to Zapier in three steps

  1. 01

    Open your connections

You need an existing Peblo account first. In Zapier, open the Apps page of your account and click + Add connection. A dialog opens with a search box.

  2. 02

    Pick Peblo

Type Peblo in the search box, choose it in the results, then click Add connection. Zapier sends you to the Peblo sign-in page, which opens in a new browser tab.

  3. 03

    Sign in and grant access

Log in with the Peblo account that holds your deals and grant Zapier access to it. If some deals belong to someone else, you also need read or write access to them.

First Zap

Your first Peblo Zap: rework a rejected deal

GoalWhen Peblo rejects a deal for one client, update it straight away instead of retyping it.

  1. 01

    Build: pick the trigger

Start a new Zap and pick Peblo as the app that starts it, with Brand Deal Rejected as the event. Choose the Peblo connection made above.

  2. 02

    Test the trigger

Run the trigger test. Zapier brings back the three most recent rejected deals of the account, so the mapping is done on a real one rather than on dummy data.

  3. 03

    Add a filter

From the plus icon, add a Filter, then set the field to look at, the rule and the value that marks the client this Zap handles. A filter makes the Zap multi-step, so it needs a paid plan.

  4. 04

    Add Edit Brand Deal

Add Edit Brand Deal as the action. Map the Deal ID from what the trigger returned, then fill the eleven other required fields, from client to currency.

  5. 05

    Test, then publish

Test the action once and read what came back. Then click Publish to switch the Zap on. Only rejections that happen after that moment will set it off.

Triggers

Peblo triggers on Zapier: 4 instant events

4 events start a Zap when something happens in Peblo, and 4 of them are instant: the app calls Zapier straight away, whatever your plan.

1

Agency Paid

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when we have successfully processed a payment to an agency.”

Starts your Zap once Peblo has successfully processed a payment to an agency. A payout becomes something the rest of your tools can act on, without anyone opening Peblo to check.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
when the agencies you work with expect a note, or an updated line in your books, once their share has gone out.
Watch out
it only covers payments to agencies. Payments to creators come through Creator Paid, and since a Zap has one trigger, covering both takes two Zaps.
2

Brand Deal Approved

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when your brand deal has approved.”

Fires each time one of your brand deals is approved in Peblo, and hands that deal to the next step so the work around it can begin without a manual check.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
to drop every approved deal into the board or content calendar where your team schedules the posts.
Watch out
deals approved before the Zap was published never come through. The Zap only sees what happens after it is switched on, so any backlog is a separate job.
3

Brand Deal Rejected

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when your brand deal has been rejected.”

The mirror image of the approval trigger: it reacts when a brand deal is rejected, so a refusal never sits unnoticed in the account while the creator waits for news.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
to alert the talent manager, or to open a follow-up item in your project tool, whenever a deal is turned down.
Watch out
if the same Zap then edits that deal in Peblo, keep an eye on loops. A Zap that writes where its own trigger listens can set itself off again and again.
4

Creator Paid

Instant trigger

In Zapier“Triggers when we have successfully processed a payment to a creator.”

Kicks off when Peblo has successfully processed a payment to a creator. It is the clearest signal that the money for a deal has reached the person who made the content.

How it fires
the app tells Zapier the moment it happens, so the Zap starts right away, whatever your plan.
When to use it
to send the creator a thank-you message, or to mark the deal as settled in your own tracking sheet.
Watch out
when you test it, Zapier pulls the three most recent creator payments of the connected account. With none on record yet, there is nothing real to map from.
Actions

Peblo actions on Zapier: create, edit and confirm deals

Peblo gives you 3 actions. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

1

Confirm Brand Deal Performance

Action

In Zapier“Lets us know that the content for a brand deal has been performed and posted.”

Tells Peblo that the content for a deal has been made and posted, with links to the live posts. It closes the creative side of the deal from inside your Zap.

When to use it
after a publishing step that already knows both the deal ID and the address of the post.
Watch out
Brand Deal ID and Performance Confirmation Links are both required, and without the ID the action cannot reach the deal.
2

Create Brand Deal

Action

In Zapier“Creates a Brand Deal”

Opens a new deal in Peblo from data that lives elsewhere: client and brand, the client emails that will receive Peblo's invoices, payment terms, creator details, amount and currency. All eleven are required.

When to use it
when deals are signed through a form or a CRM and should reach Peblo without retyping.
Watch out
Currency only accepts USD, CAD, EUR, GBP or AUD.
3

Edit Brand Deal

Action

In Zapier“Edits a Brand Deal”

Rewrites an existing deal, found by its Deal ID. It asks for the whole deal again: client, brand, emails, payment terms, description, creator, amount and currency.

When to use it
when a deal changes upstream, say a new amount agreed in your CRM, and Peblo has to follow.
Watch out
the Deal ID and eleven other fields are required, so a Zap that only knows the new amount still has to supply all the rest.
When it breaks

When a Peblo Zap breaks

Zapier attaches no help article to Peblo. What follows comes from Zapier's general limits and from the required fields of the Peblo actions.

  • Old deals never show up

A Zap only reacts to what happens after you publish it. Deals approved, rejected or paid before that stay out, and moving that backlog is a separate job.
  • A Zap that keeps setting itself off

When a Zap writes into the very place its own trigger watches, it can fire again and again and burn through your task count fast.
  • A sudden batch held back

After a bulk import or a migration, a trigger that returns a huge batch at once can be held back by Zapier's flood protection.
  • A field or currency refused

Create Brand Deal and Edit Brand Deal each require a long list of fields, and Currency takes only USD, CAD, EUR, GBP or AUD. Get one wrong and the action fails, which at least costs no task.

FAQ

Peblo and Zapier: common questions

01Is the Peblo Zapier integration free?
Yes, on Zapier's free plan. Peblo is not one of the apps Zapier keeps for paid plans, so all seven operations are open there. The free plan gives you 100 tasks a month and Zaps of two steps: one Peblo trigger and one action. A paid plan only becomes necessary once the Zap grows, with a second action, a filter or a search step. What Peblo itself charges is a separate question that this page does not cover.
02How many Zapier tasks does a Peblo Zap use?
One per successful action, and nothing for the trigger. A Zap that starts on Creator Paid and runs a single action costs one task each time a creator is paid. Add a second action and that becomes two. An action that fails, for instance an Edit Brand Deal with an empty required field, is not counted. Listening for new Peblo events is free as well, however many of them go by, because only a completed action is billed.
03Do Peblo triggers run in real time?
Yes. All four are instant triggers: Peblo reports the event to Zapier itself, so the Zap starts without waiting for a scheduled check. The interval grid of the plans (15 minutes on Free, 2 on Professional, 1 on Team and Enterprise) only applies to polling triggers, and Peblo has none. In the editor, a Zap built on one of them shows a lightning bolt. The type is set by the app and cannot be switched from Zapier.
04What does connecting Peblo to Zapier take?
A Zapier account and a Peblo account, nothing more. From the Apps page of Zapier, click + Add connection, search for Peblo, confirm with Add connection, sign in to Peblo in the tab that opens and grant Zapier access. If the deals you want the Zap to touch belong to someone else, you also need read or write access to them. Once made, the connection is reused by every Peblo step in all your Zaps.
05Why does Edit Brand Deal ask for the whole deal again?
Because on Zapier, eleven of its fields are required on top of the Deal ID. Client Name, Brand Name, the client email addresses, the talent manager email, the payment terms in days, the short description, the creator's first name, last name and email, the amount and the currency all have to be filled. A Zap that only knows the new amount still has to supply the rest, from the trigger or from an earlier step, or the action will not go through.
06What if the Peblo operation you need is missing?
Then Zapier does not offer it today. The seven operations on this page are the full set, with no search and no trigger on a newly created deal. Two routes remain. Build the Zap around the events that do exist, for example starting on an approval instead of a creation. Or let another app handle the missing step and pass its result to a Peblo action, keeping in mind that each extra step makes the Zap multi-step and calls for a paid plan.
07Zapier, Make or n8n for Peblo?
It comes down to criteria rather than a ranking. On Zapier, Peblo runs on the free plan, its four triggers are instant and its seven operations need nothing beyond the connection. The free plan stops at two steps and 100 tasks a month, so a busy deal flow or a Zap with a filter will need a paid plan. Before weighing Make or n8n, check whether they offer Peblo at all and which deal events they expose, since this page only covers Zapier.
