Picreel Zapier integrationAutomate Picreel with Zapier.
The Picreel Zapier integration comes down to 1 trigger, 0 actions and 0 searches. When an exit popup on your site captures a new lead, Zapier picks it up on its next check and passes it to your CRM, your inbox or a sheet.

What the Picreel Zapier integration does for you
Picreel shows exit offers to visitors who are about to leave your website, and some of them leave their details. The integration takes each of those leads out of Picreel and hands it to a Zap (the automation you build on Zapier: one starting event, then the steps that follow), so it reaches the tools where someone will actually follow up.
One trigger, New Lead, but several useful results. A lead list your sales team reads: each new contact becomes a row in a shared sheet or a record in your CRM. A follow-up email that goes out without you: the lead gets the discount or guide your popup promised, sent from your own mail tool. A team alert: a chat message tells whoever handles leads that a new one came in from the site.
Now the limits. Picreel has no action and no search on Zapier: a Zap can read new leads, but it cannot edit a campaign, change a popup or look up an older lead. Everything you do with a lead happens in the next app. And because New Lead is a polling trigger, Zapier checks for leads on a timer rather than hearing about them instantly. On the free plan that means a lead can wait a while before your Zap sees it.
If you are still choosing a platform, the Make vs Zapier comparison is a reasonable place to start.
Zapier terms, explained once
Eight words you will meet below, in plain language.
- Zap
- Your automation on Zapier. One event starts it, and one or more steps then run every time that event happens again.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap. For Picreel there is exactly one: a new lead captured by one of your popups.
- Action
- The step that does something once the Zap starts. Picreel offers none, so actions always run in another app you connect.
- Task
- What Zapier bills you for: one action completed successfully. Your plan includes a set number of them per month.
- Polling trigger
- A trigger Zapier checks on a timer, asking the app for new items and ignoring the ones it has already seen. New Lead works like this.
- Instant trigger
- A trigger the app reports by itself the moment something happens, with no timer. Picreel offers none of these.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when the lead matches the condition you set, and stops the run right there otherwise.
- Multi-step Zap
- A Zap with more than one trigger and one action. A second action or a filter makes one, and that needs a paid plan.
What a Picreel Zap costs
Picreel is not a premium app on Zapier, so it runs on the free plan. What you pay for is tasks, and how fast leads are picked up depends on your plan.
- Free plan100 tasks a month, unlimited Zaps
- Zap size on FreeOne trigger and one action
- New Lead checksFree of charge, every 15 minutes on Free
- PicreelNot a premium app
Checking Picreel for new leads never costs a task, however often Zapier looks. Each action that succeeds in your other apps costs one; a failed action is not counted. A Zap that adds the lead to a sheet and then sends an email uses two tasks per lead. The free plan allows two steps only, so that Zap needs a paid plan. The plan also sets how often Zapier checks for new leads, as the grid below shows.
Connect Picreel to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open the Apps page
In your Zapier account, go to Apps and click + Add connection. A connection is your Picreel account linked once, then reused by any Zap that reads its leads.
- 02
Choose Picreel
Search for Picreel in the dialog, select it and click Add connection. You need an existing Picreel account, with the popups that collect your leads already set up there.
- 03
Log in and grant access
Sign in to Picreel in the tab that opens and give Zapier access to the account. If the account belongs to a client or a colleague, make sure your login can see its leads.
Your first Picreel Zap: from popup to sales sheet
GoalEvery lead captured by a Picreel popup becomes a row in a shared sheet, and the sales channel gets a heads-up.
- 01
Start with Picreel
In the Zap editor, choose Picreel and the event New Lead as the trigger, then select the Picreel connection you just created.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent leads in your account, so you map the next steps on a real contact.
- 03
Add the sheet
Add Google Sheets as the first action and map the lead details from the test into the matching columns of your sales sheet.
- 04
Add the alert
Add Slack as a second action with a short message for the sales channel. Two actions make this a multi-step Zap, which means a paid plan.
- 05
Test and publish
Test each action, then check the new row and the message. When both look right, click Publish to switch the Zap on for good.
The Picreel trigger
1 event starts a Zap when something happens in Picreel. Zapier checks for them at the interval your plan allows.
New Lead
Polling triggerIn Zapier“Triggers when a new lead is created”
Starts your Zap each time a new lead is created in your Picreel account, typically a visitor who filled in one of your exit offers before leaving the site. Whatever the next app needs to know about that person comes from this step.
When a Picreel Zap breaks
Zapier attaches no help article to Picreel, so the cases below come from how its single trigger works and from the limits every Zap shares.
With one polling trigger and nothing else, most surprises are about timing and about what the Zap never sees. If something goes wrong beyond these, Zapier troubleshooting covers the general method.
Leads that seem late
New Lead is checked on a timer, every 15 minutes on Free. A lead that waits before reaching your sheet is the plan at work, not a fault in the Zap.Old leads never show up
A Zap only reacts to what arrives after it is switched on. Leads collected before stay in Picreel; moving them over is a separate job.Big batches held back
If a large number of leads appears at once, for example after an import, Zapier's flood protection can hold the batch instead of running each one.Second action blocked on Free
Adding a second action or a filter turns the Zap into a multi-step one. On the free plan it will not run until you switch to a paid plan.
