PingBell Zapier integrationAutomate PingBell with Zapier.
The PingBell Zapier integration offers 0 triggers, 1 action and 0 searches. That single action, Notify PingBell, rings your team's bell when something happens in another app: a sale, a sign-up, a form sent. Any app with a trigger can feed it.

What PingBell does inside a Zap
PingBell on Zapier is a finish line, never a starting point. Another app notices that something worth celebrating happened, and the Zap hands it to PingBell, which notifies your whole team. The integration has exactly one move, Notify PingBell, and it always comes after another app's trigger.
Three results people get from that one move. A sales bell: a payment app reports a new sale and Notify PingBell lets the whole team know without anyone posting in chat. A sign-up pulse: your product or newsletter tool spots a new account, and the same action marks the moment. A form signal: a demo request lands in your form tool and the bell rings for the people who will call back.
What Zapier does not do here is just as clear. PingBell has no trigger on Zapier, so nothing that happens inside PingBell can start a Zap. It has no search either, so a Zap cannot look up a bell or check what was already sent. The integration only pushes notifications in; it never reads anything out. That makes PingBell easy to bolt onto a Zap you already run: one extra step at the end, and the rest of the Zap stays as it is.
If you are still weighing tools, the n8n vs Zapier page is a sensible stop. The same app also has a PingBell Make integration page, handy to compare the two side by side.
Zapier words you will meet on this page
Seven terms, each in one plain line, with what they mean when PingBell sits at the end of the Zap.
- Zap
- The automation you build on Zapier: one trigger, then one or more actions that run every time that trigger event happens.
- Trigger
- The event that starts a Zap. PingBell has none, so the trigger always comes from another app: a payment tool, a form, a CRM.
- Action
- What the Zap does once it has started. Here it is Notify PingBell, the step that rings the bell for your team.
- Task
- The unit Zapier bills: one action your Zap completes successfully. Each bell that actually rings through the Zap is one task.
- Polling vs instant
- A polling trigger is checked by Zapier on a timer; an instant one is reported by its app. It depends on the app before PingBell.
- Filter
- A step that lets the Zap go on only when what arrived meets your condition, and stops it there otherwise. Handy to ring only for big sales.
- Multi-step Zap
- Any Zap beyond one trigger and one action. A filter or a second action turns it into one, and it then needs a paid plan.
What each bell costs you in tasks
The trigger in the other app costs nothing. Each Notify PingBell that goes through is one task.
- Trigger cost0 tasks
- Each successful bell1 task
- Free plan100 tasks a month, 2 steps per Zap
- Premium appNo, it works on Free
So one sale, one bell: one task. If the action fails, it is not counted against your plan. The free plan gives 100 tasks a month and unlimited Zaps, and a Zap there holds two steps, which is exactly a trigger plus Notify PingBell. Add a filter to ring only for some events and you need a paid plan. How fast the bell rings depends on the trigger: instant ones fire straight away, polling ones follow the grid below.
Connect PingBell to Zapier in three steps
- 01
Open Apps and look for PingBell
In your Zapier account, go to the Apps page and click + Add connection. In the dialog, type PingBell into the search box and select it from the results.
- 02
Sign in to PingBell
Click Add connection. Sign in to your PingBell account in the tab that opens, using the account that owns the bell you want to ring, or one with write access to it.
- 03
Grant access
Approve the access Zapier requests. The connection is then shared by every Zap that uses PingBell, so a second Zap for another type of conversion does not ask you to sign in again.
Your first PingBell Zap: ring the team on big sales only
GoalEach new payment above the amount you set rings your team's PingBell; smaller payments stay quiet.
- 01
Pick the trigger app and event
Start building with the app where conversions happen, here your payment tool, and its new-payment event. PingBell cannot start a Zap, so this first step always belongs to another app.
- 02
Test the trigger
Run the test. Zapier brings back the three most recent items of the connected account, so you set up the rest on a real payment rather than a guess.
- 03
Add a number filter
Click the plus icon and choose Filter. Fill the three boxes: the amount field, a number rule, and your threshold. A text rule on an amount never passes. This step makes the Zap multi-step.
- 04
Add Notify PingBell
Add the action, pick your PingBell connection, then select the bell to ring, the one setting it requires. Run the step once and read what came back.
- 05
Publish
Click Publish to switch the Zap on. From then on, every payment that clears the filter rings the bell; earlier payments are not replayed.
The PingBell action
PingBell gives you 1 action. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.
Operations index
Notify PingBell
ActionIn Zapier“Notify PingBell whenever an event / conversion happens”
Rings a chosen PingBell so your whole team hears about an event or conversion that another app just reported. It turns a quiet row in a dashboard into a shared moment.
When a PingBell Zap breaks
Zapier ties no help article to PingBell and records no limit of its own for it. The breakdowns come from general Zapier rules, mostly on the trigger side.
Four cases cover most of what goes wrong. For anything else, the Zapier troubleshooting page is the next step.
Past conversions never ring
A Zap only reacts to events that happen after you switch it on. Sales or sign-ups from before stay silent; nothing is replayed.A bulk import floods the bell
Import a large batch into the trigger app and it may report a huge wave at once. Zapier's flood protection can hold that batch back. The filter never lets a sale through
Filter rules are typed: a number rule works on numbers, a text rule on text. Compare an amount with a text rule and the bell never rings. The Zap will not publish on Free
The free plan builds two-step Zaps only. A filter or a second action next to Notify PingBell makes the Zap multi-step, which needs a paid plan.
