What are the best UGC platforms in 2026?
A good UGC platform gets you real creator videos for your ads, with clear usage rights and a price you know before you order.
UGC (user-generated content) means those selfie-style videos shot by everyday creators that keep outperforming polished ads on Meta and TikTok. A UGC platform connects you with those creators: you post a brief, they film your product, you pay per video and get the rights to run it.
The short answer: Insense is the best pick for brands that order every month. It writes down the broadest rights we found (perpetual digital rights) and has creators in nine countries, but you pay a subscription from $500 a month plus a 10% fee. If you want the lowest price per video, JoinBrands has a free plan and videos from $25, with a 15% fee. If you just want a few ads without a subscription, Billo starts at $99 per video on a prepaid balance.
We compared five platforms that publish an official price. Quote-only platforms are covered further down, outside the ranking, along with the tools that collect content from your own customers.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored placement is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

How we compared and scored
We read each platform's pricing page, its terms on usage rights, and the reviews its customers and creators post on Trustpilot. A platform makes the ranking on two conditions: a public price you can read, and a model where you order content from creators. Tools that pull in your customers' photos do a different job, so they get their own section. Cost carries the most weight, because marketplace fees change the bill by 7 to 20%.

Insense
Insense is the most complete platform in this ranking, and the priciest to get into. You pay a subscription, then each creator, plus a marketplace fee that drops from 20% on the trial to 10% on Brand and 7% on Agency. Creators come from the US, Canada, the UK, Australia, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands. Applications land within one to three business days, and you get up to three revisions.
Its real edge is the license. The creator keeps the copyright but grants the brand full, perpetual digital rights (copy, distribute, edit, make derivatives) once the content is approved and paid. No other ranked platform puts it that clearly in writing. The catch is billing. The trial rolls into the quarterly Brand plan unless you cancel 48 hours before it ends, and it shows on Trustpilot (3.6 out of 5): "TERRIBLE , they charge you every 3 month and don't allow you to unsubscribe."
- Perpetual digital rights
- Creators in nine countries
- Up to three revisions
- Agency plan for several brands
- ✓The clearest license we found
- ✓Pick creators by country
- ✓Fees drop as you move up
- ✗$500 a month before your first creator
- ✗Quarterly billing, cancel 48 hours ahead
- ✗Middling Trustpilot score
The right call once you order more than ten videos a month or sell in several countries. For a first test, the subscription is too heavy: start with Billo or JoinBrands.
JoinBrands
JoinBrands has the lowest entry point in the ranking. The free plan costs nothing and takes a 15% fee on what you spend; paid plans lower the fee (12%, 10%, then 8%) and add a monthly credit. Videos start at $25 and images at $10. Usage rights are unlimited once you buy, and the platform claims more than 4 million creators, with a clear tilt toward Amazon and TikTok Shop.
Reviews on Trustpilot are good overall (4.4 out of 5): "Join Brands is a game changer - easier, cleaner and amazing customer service!" The negative ones point at the marketplace itself. One buyer writes: "I got a $900 bill from JoinBrands (pay as you go) and zero content produced." Others report creators who kept refundable samples without delivering.
- Free plan
- Videos from $25
- Unlimited usage rights
- Built for Amazon and TikTok Shop
- ✓Lowest price per video
- ✓No subscription required
- ✓Rights with no time limit
- ✗Quality depends heavily on the creator
- ✗Complaints about creators who don't deliver
- ✗15% fee on the free plan
Great value if you vet creators carefully. Start on the free plan, order from creators with a track record, and only move to a paid plan when the fee savings beat its price.
Billo
Billo is the simplest way in. There's no subscription: you top up a prepaid balance and pay from $99 per video, with the price set by length, format, creator tier (Regular or Premium) and add-ons such as extra hooks. The full price grid only shows inside the app. Billo works with 5,000+ creators, all in the US, Canada and the UK.
Customers like the brief builder and the support. On Trustpilot (3.9 out of 5, 522 reviews), one writes: "Creating briefs on Billo is super straightforward, but what really sets them apart is the support." The complaints are about uneven creators and the prepaid model: "Billo continues to hold my money." Your balance expires after 12 months.
- No subscription
- Creator tiers to pick from
- Hooks and variations as add-ons
- Managed service if you scale
- ✓Fastest way to a first ad
- ✓Simple brief builder
- ✓Support praised in reviews
- ✗Creators only in the US, Canada and the UK
- ✗Prepaid balance expires after 12 months
- ✗Full price grid only inside the app
The easiest first order. Top up only what you'll spend this year, and order three short videos from different creators before you commit to a bigger pack.
Influee
Influee has the widest network in the ranking: 180,000+ creators in 33 countries, including the US, France, Spain, Mexico and Argentina. You pay a monthly subscription with no commitment that sets how many collaborations you get: 10 for $229, 25 for $529, 50 for $999. Creator pay comes on top, plus a 10% fee. The platform's own example: a creator paid $100 costs you $110.
Usage rights for all content are included. The weak spot is outside proof: its Trustpilot profile has no reviews yet, so there's no public customer feedback to read.
- 33 creator countries
- Usage rights included
- Month-to-month
- Collaborations counted per month
- ✓Widest creator network
- ✓No long commitment
- ✓10% fee only
- ✗$229 a month before your first creator
- ✗No public customer reviews
- ✗Pricing per collaboration, not per video
Worth it when you need creators in two or three markets in the same month. For US-only content, JoinBrands or Billo cost less.
Trend
Trend, part of soona, sells credit packs instead of a subscription. The Starter pack at $550 covers 6 videos or 15 photos; at the Scale pack ($3,872, 56 videos) a video drops to about $69. Licensing is the selling point: 100% licensing and distribution rights across social, websites, ads, Amazon and Google Shopping. Trend refunds you if a creator doesn't deliver. Average delivery is two to three weeks.
The catch is the clock: credits expire after 12 months. Trend has only 7 reviews on Trustpilot (2.9 out of 5), so take them lightly, but one says exactly that: "It can no longer be used as it is past 12 months since it was done."
- Full licensing and distribution
- Refund if a creator doesn't deliver
- Videos or photos from the same credits
- ✓Clear rights
- ✓No subscription
- ✓Price per video drops with pack size
- ✗Credits expire after 12 months
- ✗Two to three weeks to deliver
- ✗Very few public reviews
A solid batch buyer's tool. Buy the pack you'll use within the year, not the one with the best unit price.
What a UGC video really costs by platform
The entry price doesn't tell the whole story. Self-serve marketplaces usually land around $100 to $150 per piece of content. Three things change the bill: the subscription, the marketplace fee (0 to 20%), and how long the license lasts. Here are three ways to buy, priced with public rates.
You're testing with a few videos
JoinBrands free plan: videos from $25, plus 15%. Billo: from $99 per video, paid from a prepaid balance that expires in 12 months. Trend Starter: $550 for 6 videos, about $92 each, with full licensing.
You buy in batches
Trend Growth: $1,980 for 28 videos, about $71 each. Trend Scale: $3,872 for 56 videos, about $69 each. Billo adds bonuses on larger prepaid packs. Both clocks run 12 months, so only buy what you'll shoot this year.
You produce every month
Insense Brand: $1,500 per quarter, plus creators, plus 10%. Influee Starter: $229 a month for 10 collaborations, plus creators, plus 10%. JoinBrands Pro: $299 a month with a 10% fee and $90 of monthly credit. A subscription only pays off with steady volume.
- Is there a marketplace fee on every creator payment?
- Do the rights cover paid ads, and for how long?
- Do credits or the prepaid balance expire?
- How many revisions are included?
- Does the plan renew monthly, quarterly or yearly?
- Can you pick creators by country and language?
Collecting customer UGC: the tools to know
The ranked platforms get paid creators to make videos. Collection tools do the opposite: they pull in photos and videos your real customers post (hashtags, mentions, photo reviews), help you ask for permission, and display them as shoppable galleries. For reviews, our ranking of review management software goes deeper.
Collection
Yotpo: reviews, customer photos and galleries in one place
Scored 4.1/5Yotpo combines reviews, customer photos and videos, and Instagram galleries pulled from hashtags and mentions, with shoppable posts. Its pricing page lists Reviews & UGC Starter at $89 a month and Pro at $169 a month up to 500 monthly orders, plus a free plan up to 50 orders. Moderation is a paid add-on. We score it 4.1 out of 5 in our review software ranking.

What you can actually do with a UGC video
Every list says "check the rights". None compares them platform by platform. A video you paid for isn't automatically a video you can run anywhere, forever.
Rights
Perpetual, unlimited or 12 months: compare the wording
Insense grants perpetual digital rights once content is approved and paid; full IP ownership only comes through its managed service with a contract. JoinBrands gives unlimited usage rights on purchase. Trend gives 100% licensing and distribution rights. Influee includes usage rights for all content. Get the wording in writing for the channels you plan to use, paid ads first.

Running ads from the creator's handle
TikTok Spark Ads and Meta partnership ads run your ad from the creator's account, which often reads more native. That needs the creator's access, not just the video file. Insense includes Meta connections in its plans (10 on the entry tier). Put it in the brief: after delivery, it's one more negotiation.

- In the brief
If the creator also posts it
If the creator also posts your video on their own account in exchange for money or free product, the FTC's Endorsement Guides apply: the post needs a clear disclosure. If the video only runs in your ads, you're mainly dealing with a license, but keep the contract.

Tips
Watch credits that expire
Trend credits and Billo prepaid balances expire after 12 months. Reviewers on both complain about money they couldn't use. Buy the pack you'll spend this year, not the one with the best unit price.
- Expiry
- 12 months
Set a reminder for the Insense trial
The $650 one-month trial turns into Brand at $1,500 a quarter unless you cancel 48 hours before it ends. Put the date in your calendar the day you sign up.
- Cancel
- 48 hours before the end
Buy hooks, not whole videos
In paid social, the first three seconds do the work. Billo sells extra hooks and variations as add-ons: testing three openings on one video is cheaper than ordering three videos.
- Add-on
- Hooks and variations
Do the fee math before upgrading
On JoinBrands, going from Free (15%) to Pro (10%) saves 5 points on creator spend. Pro costs $299 a month with $90 of credit back, so the upgrade only pays off above roughly $4,200 of creator spend a month.
- Fee range
- 15% down to 8%
Write a brief nobody can misread
Bad reviews tell the same story: a detailed brief, references, and a video that misses. Give the opening line word for word, the length, the 9:16 framing and one video to copy. Use your revisions (three on Insense) on the first delivery.
- Revisions
- Up to 3 on Insense
Protect your product samples
JoinBrands reviewers report creators who kept refundable samples and never delivered. Start with creators who already have completed jobs, and send product only once the creator has accepted the brief.

Your questions about UGC platforms
What is the best UGC platform?
For brands ordering every month, Insense: perpetual digital rights and creators in nine countries, from $500 a month plus 10%. For the lowest price per video, JoinBrands, with a free plan and videos from $25. For a first test without a subscription, Billo from $99 per video.
How much does a UGC video cost?
From $25 on JoinBrands to $99 and up on Billo, and about $69 to $92 per video in Trend packs. Self-serve marketplaces usually land around $100 to $150 per piece of content. Add the marketplace fee: 0 to 20% depending on the platform and plan.
Is there a free UGC platform?
JoinBrands has a free plan: no subscription, a 15% fee on what you spend. No platform gets you free videos, though: creators are always paid, in cash or product.
Can I use UGC videos in paid ads?
Yes, if the license says so. Insense grants perpetual digital rights, JoinBrands unlimited usage rights, Trend full licensing and distribution. Check that paid ads are covered in writing before you spend on media.
What's the difference between UGC and influencer marketing?
With influencers, you pay for their audience: they post on their own account. With UGC, you pay for the video: you run it in your ads or on your store. For influencers, see our ranking of influencer marketing platforms.
How long does it take to get a UGC video?
On Trend, two to three weeks on average. On Insense, creator applications come in within one to three business days, then filming starts. Add shipping time for your product.
Do I need to ship my product to creators?
In most cases, yes: the creator has to hold it on camera. Shipping is on you, and the product usually stays with the creator. Budget for it, especially for expensive or heavy products.
Do UGC platforms work outside the US?
Some do. Billo only works with creators in the US, Canada and the UK. Insense covers nine countries in North America, Europe and Australia, and Influee 33 countries, including Mexico and Argentina.
