What is the best CRM mobile app for reps on the road?
Seven apps compared on one question: can your reps do their whole job from a phone, even with zero bars?
Short answer: Pipedrive if your team needs to move deals forward offline, Zoho CRM if your reps run territory routes and need nearby accounts on a map, HubSpot if you want a free app that logs your calls for you. Salesflare and folk round out the ranking for narrower jobs: an email-heavy sales team, or a founder working a network from an iPhone.
Every CRM app looks good on its App Store page. The real gap shows up later. The day your rep walks out of a dead zone, some apps let them edit everything, some let them read 200 records, and some show a spinner. Some only open on a paid tier. We went through each vendor's documentation, the store listings and hundreds of user reviews to sort it out. Salesforce and monday CRM appear in the table, but stay unranked: we don't have a full Salesforce review yet, and our monday review covers a different product.
Pick in one line. Field rep in back-to-back meetings: Pipedrive or Zoho CRM. Small team with no budget: HubSpot free or Zoho CRM free. Outbound team that lives in Gmail: Salesflare. Solo founder with a big network: folk.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always flagged on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.
Which CRM app is actually useful in the field?
"Mobile app included" tells you almost nothing. What matters is what the app does when your rep is away from a laptop. Three questions separate the good apps from the rest. Can you edit a record with no signal, or only view it? Does a call made from the phone land in the contact's timeline on its own? And which plan actually unlocks the app?
Rank follows mobile app quality. The score out of 5 is the score for the whole product, the same one as in our full reviews. That's why HubSpot, scored the same as Pipedrive, ranks lower here.
| What the app does: offline, scanning, calls, field | Plan that unlocks the app, entry price | |
|---|---|---|
| PipedriveRanked #1 | Full offline: move deals, add notes and activities, sync when the signal returns. Card scanner (one card at a time), call tracking, dictated notes. | Every plan, from Lite at $14/seat/month billed annually ($24 monthly). Needs Android 11 or iOS 18. |
| Zoho CRMRanked #2 | Full offline: view, add, edit and delete records. Nearby customers and deals with navigation, on-site check-ins, call recording. | Included in the free plan (3 users). Standard €14/user/month billed annually on Zoho's euro price list. |
| HubSpotRanked #3 | Caller ID, automatic call logging prompt, card scanner. Offline is beta and read-only: 200 recent records max. | Free app, free CRM for 2 users. Offline needs Starter, from $20/seat/month billed monthly. |
| SalesflareRanked #4 | Card scanner, live alerts when a prospect opens your email or visits your site, follow-up reminders, AI summaries. No offline mode listed. | All plans, from Growth at $29/user/month billed annually ($39 monthly). |
| folkRanked #5 | AI card scanning, cleaned-up voice notes, calls with your own number, transcripts and summaries. iPhone only. | Included with any folk account, Standard at $24/user/month. |
| SalesforceUnranked | Offline via Briefcase, set up by your admin, who picks which records get preloaded. Custom home, custom notifications, mobile security policies. | Starter Suite at $25/user/month, Pro Suite at $100 (billed annually). |
| monday CRMUnranked | Dedicated app, separate from the monday.com app: calls from a dedicated business number (Smart Call), meeting notetaker that works offline, AI agents. | No app on Basic. From Standard, $17/seat/month billed annually ($25 monthly), 3 seats minimum. |
Prices read on vendor pricing pages in 2026. Zoho CRM figures come from its euro price list.
Pipedrive
Pipedrive is the only vendor in this ranking that states plainly that its mobile app works offline for anything you'd normally do in it: move deals along the pipeline, add notes, log activities. Everything syncs once the connection is back. The web app, by contrast, needs a connection. For a rep driving between accounts in patchy coverage, that's the difference between logging the meeting in the car and reconstructing it from memory at 7 pm.
The rest of the app is built for speed. The card scanner sits behind the ➕ button, available on every plan and for every user type. It picks up multiple phone numbers and emails, and keeps the card image on the contact's timeline, so you can toss the paper. Notes can be dictated, and on Android the app even converts handwritten notes into text. A day planner lists your meetings and calls, with caller ID and call tracking built in.
Two catches. The app requires Android 11 or iOS 18, so audit your team's phones before you roll it out. And it's lighter than the web version: users mention confusing navigation, fewer integrations than on desktop, and an email send button some can't find. On the US App Store it sits at 3.8 out of 5 from 677 ratings, one of the lower ratings in this group.
- Full offline editing: deals, notes, activities
- Card scanner on every plan, card image kept
- Voice-to-text notes, handwriting conversion on Android
- Caller ID and call tracking
- ✓The only full offline mode promised on the entry plan
- ✓Push notifications and a built-in day planner
- ✓Low entry price for this much mobile capability
- ✗Android 11 and iOS 18 minimum: older phones are out
- ✗Scans one card at a time, slow after a trade show
- ✗Fewer integrations than the web app
Our top pick if your reps need to keep the pipeline current from the field, signal or not. Tip: offline mode can't be switched on by hand. If the app stays stuck offline while you have coverage, contact support instead of reinstalling.
Zoho CRM
Zoho CRM has the most route-friendly app here. It shows customers and deals near your current location, with turn-by-turn navigation. Reps can check in at a customer site, and on Android their manager gets notified. If a rep has a 40-minute gap between meetings, seeing the three accounts in the neighborhood beats any dashboard.
Offline is complete: view, add, edit or delete records, and changes sync automatically when you're back online. The app also handles caller ID, call recording, voice notes, today's tasks and meetings with reminders, and a team feed with @mentions. It runs on Android 6 and iOS 14, which keeps older company phones in the game. And it's included on the free plan for up to three users, the best field app you can get without paying.
The trade-off is setup. Zoho takes configuration, and it shows on mobile. Users on Zoho's own forum report fields that don't update and calls made in the app missing from reports. For card scanning, Zoho long relied on a separate Card Scanner app, so check during the trial what your plan includes in the main app.
- Nearby customers and deals with navigation
- On-site check-ins, manager notified (Android)
- Full offline: view, add, edit, delete
- Call recording and voice notes
- ✓Full app on the free plan (3 users)
- ✓Runs on older phones
- ✓Rated 4.5 out of 5 on the French App Store
- ✗Takes longer to set up than Pipedrive or HubSpot
- ✗Mobile-to-web sync of call data can be patchy
- ✗Interface feels dense on a phone
The best pick for teams that run territories and managers who want visit tracking. Go with Pipedrive if your reps need something they'll understand in ten minutes, with no setup.
HubSpot
The HubSpot app is free and one of the best rated in its category, with a 4.7 out of 5 on the App Store in France from around 1,300 ratings. Calls are where it shines. When a customer rings, the app identifies them even if their number isn't saved in your phone. After the call, it prompts you to log it with an outcome, a note and a follow-up task. The HubSpot keyboard also lets you drop a document, a snippet or a quote straight into WhatsApp or LinkedIn messages.
Offline is the weak spot. It's in beta, read-only, and limited to Starter, Professional and Enterprise. The app caches the 50 most recent records per object (contacts, companies, deals, tickets), 200 in total, with the last 3 engagements and next 5 tasks per record. Files and custom objects don't come along, and a Super Admin has to switch it on. You can look up a customer in a dead zone, but you can't write down what they told you.
On Sales Hub Professional, the Mobile Notetaker records an in-person meeting, transcribes it and drafts a summary with next steps, even offline. User complaints worth knowing: the card scanner sometimes misses mobile numbers, you can't reply to emails from the app, and iOS doesn't support line items on deals.
- Caller ID without saving the contact
- Call logging prompt after every call
- HubSpot keyboard for quotes and snippets in WhatsApp or LinkedIn
- Breeze AI assistant on every screen
- ✓Free app and free CRM for 2 users
- ✓Top-tier App Store rating
- ✓In-person meeting recording on Sales Pro
- ✗Offline is read-only and not on the free plan
- ✗No email replies from the app
- ✗Advanced features get expensive fast
Our pick for starting free with solid call tracking. Tip: turn on offline mode while you're still connected, then open the day's records so they land in the 50 most recent. The cache refreshes every 24 hours.
Salesflare
Salesflare fills much of the CRM automatically from your inbox, and its iPhone app extends that idea. It pings you live when a prospect opens your email or visits your website, so you can call at the right moment, from the coffee line. The app also scans business cards, runs your email sequences and follow-up reminders, and writes AI summaries and drafts.
The app is included on every plan. Growth costs $29 per user per month billed annually, $39 monthly. Pro is $49 ($64 monthly), Enterprise $99 with a five-user minimum. Support is the standout in our review, at 4.8 out of 5, the highest support score in this ranking.
For a pure field rep, the limit is clear: the App Store listing mentions no offline mode, no map and no nearby accounts. Salesflare is a prospecting app, not a route app.
- Live alerts on email opens and site visits
- Business card scanner
- Email sequences and follow-up reminders
- AI summaries and drafts
- ✓CRM that mostly fills itself from your inbox
- ✓Support rated 4.8 out of 5 in our review
- ✓App included on every plan
- ✗No offline mode mentioned
- ✗Nothing for routes: no map, no nearby accounts
- ✗Higher entry price than Pipedrive
A strong pick for teams that sell mostly through email and want to react fast from a phone. For true field work, Zoho CRM does more.
folk
folk isn't a field sales CRM. It's a smart contact book, and its "Contacts by folk CRM" app is built that way. Scan a business card and AI fills the record. Dictate a voice note after a coffee and the app strips the filler words. Call from the app with your own number as caller ID, and the call gets transcribed and summarized. Call recording works once your number is verified.
The app comes with any folk account at no extra cost. On the web, Standard is $24 per user per month and Premium $48. If you subscribe through the iPhone instead, Apple's in-app pricing applies, which is a different price list, so sign up on desktop and use the app for the field.
The limits are sharp. It's iPhone only, and so new that it barely has ratings yet. No offline mode is listed, and there's no deal pipeline to push forward from the phone. For a team tracking deals, Pipedrive is the stronger app.
- AI business card scanning
- Voice notes cleaned of filler words
- Calls with your number, transcript and summary
- Included with every folk account
- ✓The simplest app in the ranking
- ✓Ideal right after an event
- ✓Ease of use scored 4.7 in our review
- ✗iPhone only
- ✗Too new to judge reliability
- ✗No offline mode listed
The right pick if your network is your pipeline and you carry an iPhone. If your team uses Android or works without signal, look at Pipedrive or Zoho CRM.
Six checks to run during the free trial
Everything below comes from our comparison, vendor documentation and user feedback on app stores and vendor forums. Run these checks on a real phone from your team, not a simulator. For a ranking without the mobile filter, see the best CRM, and for structured sales teams, the best CRM for sales teams.
Offline: read or write?
This is the test that splits the field. Put the phone in airplane mode, open a record, add a note, move a deal. On Pipedrive and Zoho CRM, it all goes through and syncs later. On HubSpot, you can read but not write. On Salesforce, it depends on what your admin preloaded in the Briefcase. Also count how many records stay available: HubSpot caps at 200.
The plan that really unlocks the app
Read the pricing grid, not the features page. monday CRM lists iOS and Android apps from Standard, not Basic. HubSpot offline needs Starter, and meeting recording needs Sales Pro. Zoho CRM, on the other hand, gives you the full app on the free plan, and Pipedrive on Lite.
Does the call reach the timeline?
Make a call from the app, then check the record on desktop. HubSpot prompts the log right after the call. On monday CRM, call from the app: the web can't dial, and a customer calling back your business number isn't recorded or logged. On Zoho, confirm calls show up in reports, since some users report gaps.
Card scanning after a trade show
Scan ten cards in a row. Pipedrive takes them one by one and keeps the image. HubSpot also offers a free standalone scanner app. folk and Salesflare scan inside the app. Above all, check that mobile numbers get captured: it's the most common complaint about HubSpot's scanner.
Your team's older phones
Pipedrive needs Android 11 or iOS 18. Zoho CRM runs on Android 6 and iOS 14. folk and Salesflare list iPhone apps. Inventory the phones first: a rep who can't install the app goes back to a paper notebook.
The phone left in a cab
A lost phone means your customer list is out in the wild. Ask each vendor what an admin can enforce: Salesforce offers security policies on its app. HubSpot excludes accounts with sensitive data from offline mode. Either way, require a screen lock on every team phone.
- A record edited in airplane mode syncs correctly once back online
- The plan you pay for unlocks the app, not just the tier above
- A call made in the app shows up on the desktop timeline
- Ten cards scanned in a row, mobile numbers included
- Every team phone meets the app's minimum OS version
- Field reps can log a meeting in under a minute
- Missing mobile features are listed before you sign
- Second-year pricing confirmed in writing

Your questions about CRM mobile apps
What is the best CRM mobile app?
Pipedrive, if you judge on offline work: it's the only app in this ranking that promises full offline editing on the entry plan, at $14 per seat per month billed annually. Zoho CRM is close behind and beats it on territory work thanks to nearby accounts. HubSpot has the stronger store rating, but its offline mode is read-only.
Is there a free CRM mobile app?
Yes, two good ones. HubSpot's app is free with its free CRM for up to 2 users, including caller ID, call logging and card scanning. Zoho CRM's free plan covers up to 3 users and includes the full mobile app with offline editing. The catch on HubSpot free: no offline mode at all.
Do CRM mobile apps work offline?
Some do, some don't. Pipedrive and Zoho CRM let you create and edit records offline. HubSpot offers read-only offline in beta, up to 200 records, on paid plans. Salesforce works offline once your admin configures which records to preload. folk and Salesflare don't list an offline mode.
Can a CRM app track and log my calls?
Yes, in different ways. HubSpot prompts you to log each call right after, with an outcome and a follow-up task. Zoho CRM records calls. folk records once your number is verified, then transcribes. monday CRM gives you a dedicated business number, but inbound callbacks to that number aren't logged. Check your local consent rules before recording.
Which CRM app is best for field sales reps?
Zoho CRM for route-based work: nearby customers with navigation and on-site check-ins, included free. Pipedrive if offline editing matters more than maps.
Does the mobile app have every feature of the web version?
No, at any vendor. HubSpot's app can't reply to emails or add line items to deals on iOS. Pipedrive's app has fewer integrations than the web. List the three things your reps do most in meetings and test each one during the trial.
Are CRM mobile apps secure if a phone gets lost?
It depends on what your admin can enforce. Salesforce offers security policies for its mobile app. HubSpot keeps accounts with sensitive data out of offline mode, so nothing is cached on the device. At minimum, require a screen lock and remove a departing rep's access the same day.
