HypeAuditor alternatives: where to go and how to keep your data
Six platforms reviewed, one per reason to leave, plus a six-step exit plan.
The short answer: Modash for a huge creator database with public prices and a no-card trial, Favikon for B2B teams whose creators live on LinkedIn, Kolsquare for a European vendor with hands-on support, Heepsy for a tight budget, GRIN for ecommerce brands that want month-to-month billing, Upfluence for an all-in-one suite if a 12-month contract is fine. One rule before you choose: HypeAuditor reports lock when the subscription ends. Export first, cancel second. We compared these six platforms and their terms in 2026.
The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.
Why teams leave HypeAuditor
To be fair, HypeAuditor is a serious tool. Its fake follower detection and audience quality score have a strong reputation, its free tools are handy, and it claims a 226.8M+ profile database, second only to Modash on this page. Review sites still rate it highly. People who leave do it for six reasons that keep coming up in reviews.
Prices you can no longer see
HypeAuditor's pricing page no longer shows a single number: just free media plans, demo versions and a Talk to sales button. Software directories quote figures that don't match each other. For a small team, that's the top complaint: reviewers call it a bit expensive for small businesses, and without a public price list you can't compare before the sales call.
Cancellation is easy to get wrong
Your cancellation request has to land no later than 24 hours before the current period ends, and HypeAuditor doesn't refund partial use. Deleting your account or personal data is a separate request. On review sites, customers say they were charged after asking to cancel, or ask for a simple cancel button. HypeAuditor disputes some of these complaints in its replies.
Reports lock when the subscription ends
It's spelled out in the help center: reports are only available while a paid subscription is active. One customer says all his credits were taken away when his plan ended. So your migration has to happen before renewal, not after.
Export is a Pro feature
CSV export of discovery results is available on the Pro plan only. Annual plans get unlimited exports, capped at 5,000 per user per month. On a lower plan, getting your lists out means upgrading or copying by hand.
Data quality is debated
Reliability splits users. One Dutch reviewer says the data science is far from reliable, others flag poor reporting, limited analytics or numbers that don't match other platforms. It's not the consensus, but if your numbers look off, you're not alone.
A steep learning curve and patchy support
One review sums it up: powerful analytics, but a steep learning curve and an unclear workflow. On support, a UK customer describes messages met with silence. Teams without an influencer specialist feel it fast.
You're leaving because… go to…

For each tool: why switch to it, who it's for, its weak spot, how to bring your lists over, and what it costs. Prices are those listed by each company in 2026. Scores come from our influencer marketing platforms ranking.
Alternatives
Modash: the big database with public prices
Best for most teamsWhy switch to Modash. It fixes HypeAuditor's sorest point: prices are public. Essentials costs $199 a month with 2 seats, 300 unlocked profiles and 150 emails; Performance costs $499 a month with 5 seats and 800 profiles; Enterprise starts from $14,700 a year. The claimed database tops 380M profiles, more than HypeAuditor, across Instagram, TikTok and YouTube for creators above 1K followers.
Who it's for. Brands and small agencies that want to find creators fast without a sales demo. The 14-day trial needs no credit card and gives 20 profiles, 6 emails and 10 tracked creators: enough to judge search quality in your niche. Want to push profiles into your CRM? See Modash with Zapier.
Who it's not for. B2B teams whose creators post on LinkedIn: Modash covers three networks, not LinkedIn.
The catch. The unlocked profile cap goes fast if you browse a lot. Before you commit, check how many profiles you actually opened per month in HypeAuditor.
How to migrate. Keep the profile URL column from your HypeAuditor exports: it's the key that finds each creator again. During the trial, look up your top 20 creators and compare audience numbers with what you had.
- Trial
- 14 days, no card
- Paid
- Essentials $199/mo, Performance $499/mo
- Score
- 4.3/5

- no LinkedIn
Favikon: the B2B pick, with LinkedIn and a free plan
Best for B2BWhy switch to Favikon. HypeAuditor is built around Instagram, TikTok and YouTube. If your creators are founders, experts or consultants, they talk on LinkedIn, and that's Favikon's strength. Prices are listed in euros, and the free plan has no time limit: 15 credits a month and 3 tracked creators, no card.
Who it's for. B2B brands and lean marketing teams that want monthly billing. Core costs €159 a month billed yearly or €199 monthly, with 500 credits and one active campaign; Pro costs €239 or €299 with 1,000 credits and five campaigns; Enterprise starts at €499 a month. Quarterly billing saves 10%, yearly 20%.
Who it's not for. Teams that judge a tool by database size: Favikon doesn't publish its own. And heavy users of broad searches, because of the credit model.
The catch. Credits burn faster than you'd think. A search uses one credit per creator in the results, and an email costs three. Favikon's own estimate: 500 credits is roughly 300 creators reviewed plus 65 emails found. An extra seat is €69 a month, API access starts at €199 a month.
How to migrate. Start on the free plan and find your current creators one by one before paying. Keep filters tight so you don't spend credits on useless results.
- Free
- 15 credits/mo, 3 tracked creators
- Paid
- Core €159/mo yearly, Pro €239/mo
- Score
- 4.2/5
- Catch
- credits go fast
Kolsquare: the European vendor that runs campaigns with you
Best European vendorWhy switch to Kolsquare. If you want a vendor based in Europe with a real account contact, Kolsquare is the closest match. It covers six platforms and sells three offers: Discovery, Listening (up to 11 brands) and Enterprise, all built after a demo.
Who it's for. Brands and agencies running several brands that want human follow-up. Startups under three years old, with under €500K raised and fewer than ten employees, get 30% off: ask for it on the first call.
Who it's not for. Anyone leaving HypeAuditor because the prices are hidden. Kolsquare shows none either, and its page mentions no trial.
The catch. Contract length isn't on the pricing page. Get the term, notice period and renewal rules in writing before you sign.
How to migrate. Bring your creator export to the demo and ask how it will be imported. Also ask how long your reports stay available if you ever leave.
- Trial
- demo, no trial listed
- Paid
- custom quote, 30% off startups
- Score
- 4.1/5
- Catch
- no public prices
Heepsy: the small budget pick, with a real free plan
Best on a budgetWhy switch to Heepsy. It's the cheapest way out on this page. The free plan lasts as long as you like, with 500 results and 10 advanced profiles a month. Starter is $89 a month, or $69 billed yearly; Plus is $199 ($149 yearly); Advanced is $299 ($229 yearly). There's no mandatory annual commitment, and access stays open until the end of the paid period.
Who it's for. Freelancers, small shops and new agencies that want to search for creators without a contract. The claimed database tops 20M creators across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube and LinkedIn.
Who it's not for. Big brands that want the widest database and deep analytics: the database is far smaller than HypeAuditor's or Modash's.
The catch. Result export comes with Starter, but contact export needs Plus. Reviews are mixed: one customer praises quick service, another calls the cancellation practice shady. Turn off renewal as soon as you know you're leaving.
How to migrate. Start free to check your creators are in the database. If you need contact details, take Plus for a month, export, then downgrade.
- Free
- 500 results, 10 advanced profiles/mo
- Paid
- Starter $69/mo yearly, $89 monthly
- Score
- 3.8/5
- Catch
- contact export from Plus
GRIN: for ecommerce brands that want month-to-month
Why switch to GRIN. No annual contract outside Enterprise: self-serve, month-to-month. That's the cleanest answer to the contract complaint. Free is $0, Starter $200 a month, Growth $500, Scale $1,500, Enterprise on a yearly quote. Starter comes with a 30-day trial.
Who it's for. Ecommerce brands that pay creators through the platform and want shipments, codes and payouts in one place.
Who it's not for. Agencies and B2B brands mostly after creator search and audience audits. GRIN is built for online retail, US first.
The catch. Management fees are added to the money you deposit to pay creators: 20% on Free, 10% on Starter, 7% on Growth, 5% on Scale. On a big creator budget, the fees outweigh the subscription. And when the trial ends, billing starts automatically at $200 a month unless you switch plans first.
How to migrate. Put the trial end date in your calendar on day one. Run last year's creator budget through the fee rates: that's GRIN's real price.
- Trial
- 30 days on Starter
- Paid
- Starter $200/mo, Growth $500/mo
- Fees
- 5 to 20% on deposits
- Catch
- built for ecommerce
Upfluence: the full suite, with a 12-month contract
Why switch to Upfluence. Upfluence sells modules you combine, from creator search to campaign tracking. It claims a 14M+ creator database. There's no mandatory setup fee, and the trial is set up after a first call.
Who it's for. Teams that want one tool for everything and import lots of existing creators. CSV import is simple: three columns, profile_name, media_url and email, and a creator already in the system gets updated, not duplicated.
Who it's not for. Anyone leaving HypeAuditor to escape contracts. The minimum contract is 12 months and pricing is quote-based.
The catch. On review sites, customers describe an automatic renewal for another six months, or a demand for full-year payment with no room to negotiate. Moving from HypeAuditor to Upfluence doesn't solve the contract problem: read the renewal terms first.
How to migrate. It's the easiest place to bring your lists. Rename your HypeAuditor export columns to match the three expected ones, then import.
- Trial
- after a first call
- Paid
- custom quote by module
- Score
- 3.8/5
- Catch
- 12-month minimum

Leaving HypeAuditor step by step
Six steps, in this order. The first two must happen before your subscription ends, or your reports become unreadable.
Steps
List what you want to keep
UrgentList your creator lists, live campaigns and the reports you still share with clients or your boss. Write down the exact end date of your current period.
Remember the rule: in HypeAuditor, a report is only available while a paid plan is active. Anything you haven't pulled out by renewal stays locked unless you pay again.
- Time
- 30 minutes
- Risk if skipped
- locked reports
Export your lists and results to CSV
CSV export of discovery results is Pro only. Lists export from their settings with a CSV button. Annual plans get unlimited exports, capped at 5,000 per user per month.
Not on Pro? Either upgrade long enough to get everything out, or copy your key creators by hand. Save the reports you need as PDFs or screenshots.
- Time
- 1 to 2 hours
- Plan needed
- Pro
Clean the file around the profile URL
Keep a column with each creator's full profile URL: it's the key every tool understands. A username alone isn't always enough. HypeAuditor itself only imports .xlsx files with profile URLs, which shows how much that column matters.
Remove duplicates and add an email column if you have contacts.
- Time
- 30 minutes
- Key
- profile URL
Start the new tool's trial while HypeAuditor still runs
Open your destination's trial before cancelling: 14 days at Modash, the free plans at Favikon or Heepsy, 30 days at GRIN. Look up your top 20 creators and compare audience numbers with your exports.
Big gaps? Dig before you decide: it's usually the calculation method that differs, not the creator.
- Time
- 1 week
- Sample
- 20 creators
Import your creators into the new tool
In Upfluence, rename columns to profile_name, media_url and email: existing creators get updated, not duplicated. Elsewhere, the profile URL finds each creator in the database.
Count creators before and after import. A gap means a broken row or a profile missing from the new database.
- Time
- 1 hour
- Check
- creator count
Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal
ImportantSend your cancellation request no later than 24 hours before the period ends. Keep the confirmation email: it's your proof if a charge still comes through. Partial periods aren't refunded, so aim for the end of the period.
Account and personal data deletion is a separate request. Send it on its own and keep that confirmation too.
- Deadline
- 24 hours minimum
- Proof
- confirmation email

What makes a HypeAuditor exit go wrong
The same mistakes show up in reviews again and again. None are technical: they're calendar and contract slips, and each one costs lost data or an extra billed period.
Cancelling before exporting
Once the subscription ends, your reports are locked until you subscribe again. Order matters: export first, cancel second, never the other way round.
Missing the 24-hour window
A request sent on the last day can land too late, and the next period isn't refunded. Send it several days ahead.
Forgetting export needs Pro
Finding out at the last minute that your plan can't export means a rushed month of Pro or copying everything by hand. Check your plan as soon as you think about leaving.
Signing a new contract without reading the renewal
Upfluence requires 12 months minimum, Kolsquare doesn't state its term online. Get term, notice and auto-renewal rules in writing.
Letting a trial roll over
At GRIN, the trial turns into a $200 monthly plan on its own. At Modash, no card is taken, so there's no risk. Put every trial end date in your calendar.
Choosing on database size alone
380M profiles don't help if your creators are on LinkedIn. Choose on your network and workflow. Agencies should also check our influencer platforms for agencies ranking.
- Period end date noted
- Lists exported to CSV
- Key reports saved as PDF
- Profile URL column kept
- Trial started before cancelling
- Creators counted before and after import
- Cancellation sent 24+ hours ahead
- Account deletion requested separately
HypeAuditor alternatives: frequently asked questions
Is HypeAuditor free?
Partly. HypeAuditor offers limited free access, demo versions of some features and free tools such as its fake follower checker. Creator discovery and full reports need a paid plan. For a lasting free plan, Heepsy and Favikon have one, and GRIN has a Free plan with a 20% fee on deposits.
How much does HypeAuditor cost?
HypeAuditor no longer lists prices on its pricing page: you have to talk to sales. Figures quoted by software directories don't match each other, so don't treat them as a quote. To compare without a call, Modash, Favikon, Heepsy and GRIN publish their prices.
How do I cancel HypeAuditor?
Send your request at least 24 hours before the current period ends and keep the confirmation. Partial periods aren't refunded. Export your lists first, and ask separately for account deletion if you want it.
What happens to my reports after I cancel?
You lose access. HypeAuditor reports are only available while a paid subscription is active. Save the ones you still use as PDFs and export your lists to CSV before renewal.
Can I export my influencer lists from HypeAuditor?
Yes, as CSV, but exporting discovery results is a Pro-only feature. Annual plans get unlimited exports up to 5,000 per user per month. Keep the profile URL column: that's what you'll need in the next tool.
HypeAuditor or Modash: which one?
Modash if you want public prices, a 14-day no-card trial and a claimed 380M+ profile database. HypeAuditor keeps its edge on fraud detection and its audience quality score. If deep audience audits are your core work, compare both on your 20 most-used creators.
Which HypeAuditor alternative has a free plan?
Heepsy (500 results and 10 advanced profiles a month, no time limit), Favikon (15 credits a month) and GRIN (Free plan, with a 20% fee on deposits). Modash has no free plan but a 14-day trial with no credit card.
What's the cheapest HypeAuditor alternative?
Heepsy: Starter is $69 a month billed yearly, with no mandatory annual commitment. Favikon Core is €159 a month billed yearly. For more options, see our influencer marketing platforms ranking.
