Jungle Scout alternatives: where to go for your business model, and how to leave cleanly
Six tools in detail, one per reason for leaving, plus an eight-step exit plan.
The short answer: Helium 10 if you sell your own brand and want keywords, listings and ads in one place; SmartScout for wholesale and brand research; Sellerboard if what you really lack is your true margin; Keepa for price and sales rank history; Seller Assistant App or SellerAmp SAS if you resell products from supplier lists or retail stores. Plenty of sellers swap Jungle Scout for two small tools rather than another all-in-one suite. One thing to know before you cancel: Jungle Scout's 7-day money-back guarantee only covers your first purchase, never a renewal. We compared these six tools and checked their prices and marketplace coverage in 2026.
Our ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.
Why sellers leave Jungle Scout
Jungle Scout is still a serious tool with a good name for product research, and it fully supports the big US and European marketplaces. People rarely leave over one dramatic flaw. They leave because what they pay stops matching what they use. Six reasons come up again and again.
You only use one feature now
The classic pattern: in year one you explore the Product Database, Opportunity Finder and the extension. After that, you only open Keyword Scout or the Sales Estimator. A seller who paid for three years describes exactly that. At that point you're paying at least $29 a month (Starter, billed yearly) for a single feature that a focused tool often does better and for less.
Sales estimates you can't take at face value
On Amazon's European seller forums, several sellers call the sales numbers unreliable and say to treat them as a starting point. One seller found 31 sales a month in one tool and 390 in Jungle Scout for the same UK listing. Another customer says they launched a product based on the data and it failed. No tool has Amazon's real numbers; they all estimate. But a tenfold gap is enough to sink a launch.
A short guarantee, and nothing on renewals
The US pricing page and the terms of use give you a 7-day money-back guarantee. It applies to your first subscription only: renewal orders are never eligible, and there are no prorated refunds for partly used periods. Customers report yearly plans charged after a cancellation they thought had gone through, with no confirmation email to prove it.
Some of the best features stay US-only
Outside the US, Jungle Scout supports 20 of its 23 features on Amazon UK, Germany, France, Italy and Spain. The three missing are deep research tools: the Supplier Database, Category Trends and Competitive Intelligence. If most of your sales are on Amazon.co.uk or in Europe, part of what justifies the higher plans does nothing for you.
Real profit tracking isn't its strength
Jungle Scout has a sales and profit dashboard, but users describe it as wonky, with numbers they don't trust. To know your true margin after Amazon fees, ad spend, returns and product cost, nearly every seller ends up with a dedicated tool. If that number drives your decisions, you're paying a suite price for something a $15-a-month tool does better.
A pricing grid that keeps pushing you up
Three plans and per-module limits: on Starter, 50 tracked products, 100 product searches and 50 Keyword Scout searches a month, no export, no Inventory Manager, no Rank Tracker. The Supplier Database moved out of Starter. Extra seats cost $49 a month and aren't allowed on Starter at all. One long-time customer says they were told to upgrade or lose service.
You're leaving because… go to…
The best Jungle Scout alternative depends on what's pushing you out and how you sell. Usually only one row applies. Each card jumps to the full write-up below.
Keywords, listings, rank tracking and ads in one place, from $99 a month billed yearly.

Jungle Scout alternatives, tool by tool
For each tool: why switch to it, who it's for, its main limit, how to move over from Jungle Scout, and what it costs. Scores are the ones from our Amazon tool rankings, identical on every Labs page. Prices are what each vendor lists in 2026.
The tools
Helium 10: the full suite for private label
Score 4.4/5Why switch to Helium 10. It's the other big Amazon suite and the only one that covers as much ground as Jungle Scout: product research, keywords, listing optimization, rank tracking, inventory and FBA reimbursements. On Amazon's European seller forums, sellers who don't trust Jungle Scout's estimates keep Helium 10 for its reimbursement tool and its listing work. If you sell your own brand, it's the most direct swap.
Who it's for. Private label sellers who want one subscription for keywords, listings and, later on, ads.
Who it's not for. Sellers who only use one module: you'd pay more for the same use. Wholesale sellers are better served by SmartScout or Seller Assistant App.
The catch. Price. Platinum runs $129 a month, or $99 billed yearly, which is well above Jungle Scout Starter. It's capped at three marketplaces, and that cap is lifetime: switching countries doesn't reset it. Ad management (a 2% fee on managed spend) is Diamond-only, at $359 a month. Belgium isn't natively supported, and the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden only partly. Customers also complain about the jump from $99 to $129, the end of single-tool plans, and renewals charged without a reminder.
How to move over. Export your keyword lists and Product Tracker from Jungle Scout first (export needs at least Growth Accelerator). Rebuild your lists in Helium 10, connect Seller Central, then compare both tools on three products you know well before you cancel. Choose your three marketplaces carefully on day one. If you use Claude, our Helium 10 and Claude guide shows how to query your data in plain language.

SmartScout: research by brand and by seller
Score 4.0/5Why switch to SmartScout. Jungle Scout thinks in products. SmartScout thinks in brands and sellers: which brands are climbing in a category, and which sellers carry them. For a wholesale seller hunting brands to approach, or an agency prospecting brands, that's the angle Jungle Scout lacks. And the entry price is the same: $49 a month, or $29 billed yearly.
Who it's for. Wholesale sellers, agencies, and brands keeping an eye on their resellers.
Who it's not for. A first-time private label seller looking for a first product: Jungle Scout's or Helium 10's product research is more guided.
The catch. Its data is deepest on the US marketplace. The pricing page doesn't list countries; comparisons say it covers the UK and the main European marketplaces, but check yours during the guarantee window. Basic caps keyword research at 5,000 ASINs a month; keywords become unlimited from Essentials ($119 a month, $99 billed yearly). One user is included, and each extra user costs $49 a month.
How to move over. There's no free trial, but there is a 7-day money-back guarantee. Prepare your list of brands and categories before you pay so you can check everything that week: coverage of your marketplace, data quality in your categories, seller search. Keep Jungle Scout until the end of your current period, since it isn't refunded pro rata.

- Basic $49/mo ($29 billed yearly)

Sellerboard: your real margin, product by product
Score 4.5/5Why switch to Sellerboard. Sellerboard doesn't find products; it tells you what you actually earn. Sales, Amazon fees, ad spend, returns, product cost, reimbursements: you get net profit per product, per day. That's exactly the dashboard Jungle Scout users call unreliable. If your issue is paying for a suite to get a shaky profit view, Sellerboard replaces it for a fraction of the price.
Who it's for. Any seller with live products who wants to run margin, stock and reorders properly.
Who it's not for. Someone still hunting for a first product: there's no product database and no keyword research.
The catch. It's an add-on, not a suite. If you still need keywords, you'll need a second tool. Plans scale with orders: Standard covers 3,000 orders a month, Professional 6,000, Business 15,000, Enterprise 50,000, with a 30,000-product maximum. Standard is $19 a month or $15 billed yearly ($179 a year).
How to move over. One-month free trial, no credit card, on every Amazon marketplace. Connect your account, enter your product costs (the only slow part), and let it rebuild your history. Tip: run the trial during your last month of Jungle Scout and compare both tools' margins for the same month. The gap is usually telling.

- Standard $19/mo ($15 billed yearly)

Keepa: price and rank history, almost free
Score 4.1/5Why switch to Keepa. Keepa shows the price, sales rank and Buy Box history of any Amazon product right on the listing. To judge whether a product really sells and how fast, many sellers trust these charts more than a sales estimate. If you used Jungle Scout mostly to validate products, Keepa covers a good part of that job with observed data rather than modeled numbers.
Who it's for. Resellers, arbitrage sellers, and anyone who wants to sanity-check an estimate before buying inventory.
Who it's not for. Sellers who need keywords, listing optimization or profit tracking.
The catch. The charts take some learning, and Keepa doesn't publish a readable pricing page. Its users describe a free tier cut to 200 tracked products in 2026, then a subscription of about €29 a month, billed in euros, so your card will convert it. Treat these as ballpark figures and check when you pay.
How to move over. Install the extension, create an account and start on the free tier. Bring over the products from your Jungle Scout Product Tracker (export them or screenshot them before leaving) and add them to a Keepa tracking list. The most common pairing among sellers: Keepa to validate, Sellerboard for margin.

- 4.1/5
- Price
- free (200 products), then about €29/mo

Seller Assistant App: supplier files analyzed in bulk
Score 4.0/5Why switch to Seller Assistant App. Jungle Scout is built for private label. If you resell existing products, your real work is elsewhere: running supplier price lists through a filter to find what's profitable on Amazon. Seller Assistant App does exactly that, with an extension that checks selling restrictions and flags brands known for filing IP complaints.
Who it's for. Wholesale and online arbitrage sellers who get supplier files, alone or with a VA.
Who it's not for. Private label sellers creating their own products: there's no niche research and no keyword tool.
The catch. During the trial, exports are capped at 25 rows, so you can't judge a big file before paying. Price climbs with volume: Pro at $29.99 a month ($24.99 billed yearly), Business at $79.99 ($69.99), Business Plus at $189.99 ($159.99), and an Agency plan from $999.99 billed yearly.
How to move over. 14-day trial on Pro and Business. Two seats come with Pro, handy for a VA. Test it on a small supplier file you've already analyzed by hand so you can compare. If you automate, our Seller Assistant and Make guide shows how to pipe its results into your other tools.
- Labs score

- Pro $29.99/mo ($24.99 billed yearly)

SellerAmp SAS: the buy decision in one scan
Score 4.0/5Why switch to SellerAmp SAS. SellerAmp is the tool for resellers who buy in stores or online to resell on Amazon. Scan a product or open a listing and within seconds you see profit after FBA fees, ROI, selling restrictions on your account and the Buy Box situation. For that business, Jungle Scout's product research barely matters: you need a decision per item.
Who it's for. Retail and online arbitrage, and small resellers who want a quick answer on their phone.
Who it's not for. Private label, and resellers working through supplier files with thousands of rows (that's Seller Assistant App's job).
The catch. It's a per-product analysis tool: no keywords and no overall profit tracking, so it's often paired with Sellerboard and Keepa.
How to move over. Nothing to migrate from Jungle Scout, since they don't do the same job. Start on Getting Started at $19.95 a month and move to Getting Serious ($29.95) or Going Pro ($49.95) only when you hit the limits. Paying yearly gets you two months free.

Jungle Scout and 6 alternatives side by side
Our default picks: Helium 10 for a private label brand that wants a suite, Sellerboard plus Keepa for a seller who wants to spend less. For a sense of scale over a year: Jungle Scout Starter costs $348 billed yearly, Growth Accelerator $588, Brand Owner $1,548; Helium 10 Platinum about $1,188 ($99 a month); Sellerboard Standard $179; Keepa's free tier nothing. Sellerboard plus a paid Keepa plan lands roughly where Jungle Scout Starter does. One row per tool: what it does on the left, entry price and coverage on the right.
| What it does | Entry price and coverage | |
|---|---|---|
| Jungle ScoutWhere you're starting | Product and keyword research, sales estimates, product tracking | Starter $49/mo ($29 billed yearly); full support in the US, Canada, Mexico, UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, with 3 US-only features |
| Helium 10Private label, all-in-one | Products, keywords, listings, rank tracking, inventory, reimbursements | Platinum $129/mo ($99 billed yearly), 3 lifetime marketplaces; no native Belgium |
| SmartScoutWholesale and brands | Research by brand, seller and category | Basic $49/mo ($29 billed yearly); main US and European marketplaces, deepest in the US |
| SellerboardProfit | Net profit per product, inventory, reorders | Standard $19/mo ($15 billed yearly); all Amazon marketplaces |
| KeepaHistory | Price, rank and Buy Box charts | Free up to 200 products, then about €29/mo according to its users |
| Seller Assistant AppSupplier files | Price list analysis, selling restriction checks | Pro $29.99/mo ($24.99 billed yearly), 2 seats, 14-day trial |
| SellerAmp SASArbitrage | Profit, ROI and restrictions from one scan | Getting Started $19.95/mo, 2 months free on yearly billing |
Entry prices before tax, subject to change. Left out: ZonGuru, whose current product only covers the US and UK; Perpetua, which only manages ads ($695 a month up to $10,000 in ad spend); AMZScout, Viral Launch and SellerApp, whose official prices we couldn't read.
Leaving Jungle Scout in eight steps
Order matters. Each step protects something: your history, your money, your seller account, and the quality of your decisions during the switch month.
The steps
List what you actually use
FirstOpen Jungle Scout and write down the modules you used this month: Product Database, Opportunity Finder, Keyword Scout, Product Tracker, Inventory Manager, Review Automation, the profit dashboard. Next to each one, write the tool that will replace it.
Often the list is two lines long. That's the strongest case for replacing a suite with two smaller tools, and the only way to make sure nothing is forgotten on switch day.
- Time
- half an hour
- Risk if skipped
- a forgotten feature
Export before you cancel
DataExport your Product Tracker, keyword lists and history. The catch: Starter has no export. If your history matters, move up to Growth Accelerator for one month to export everything, or screenshot the listings that count.
Don't count on Jungle Scout keeping your data after you leave: its terms say it keeps only what the law requires. Store your files outside the tool.
- Catch
- no export on Starter
Check your billing date and your guarantee
MoneyWrite down your next billing date. The 7-day money-back guarantee only applies to your first subscription. A renewal is never refunded, and a partly used month isn't prorated.
In practice: if your yearly plan renews soon, decide now. After the renewal, you've paid for the full year.
- Renewals
- never refunded
Compare the new tool on products you know
QualityDuring your last Jungle Scout month, start the new tool's trial or guarantee period. Pick three products whose real sales you know (your own) and compare both tools' estimates. One seller saw 31 sales a month in one tool and 390 in another for the same listing: you need to know which one matches your reality.
Sellerboard gives a month with no card, Seller Assistant App 14 days, SmartScout a 7-day guarantee. Prepare your checks before paying so you fit inside those windows.
- Method
- 3 products with known sales
Turn off automated review requests before enabling new ones
Seller accountIf Jungle Scout sends automated review requests, stop them before you turn on the new tool's. Two tools requesting a review for the same order is a duplicate you don't want. On Amazon's US seller forums, one seller says they ran into account trouble and no longer allow any third-party integrations.
The Request a Review button in Seller Central stays the safest route if you're unsure.
- Rule
- never two tools at once
Revoke Jungle Scout's access in Seller Central
SecurityCanceling your subscription doesn't remove the authorization you gave Jungle Scout on your seller account. Go to the authorized apps in Seller Central, remove Jungle Scout, then connect the new tool.
Do the same cleanup for every tool you no longer use. The fewer apps with access to your account, the fewer surprises.
- Where
- Seller Central, authorized apps
Cancel at least one day before billing, and keep proof
MoneyThe terms ask you to cancel at least one day before the next billing date; you keep access until the end of the paid period. Customers say they got no confirmation email and were charged anyway, one of them $589.
Screenshot the cancellation screen, note the date, and email support for written confirmation. If a charge still comes through, that record is your only proof.
- Deadline
- at least 1 day before
- Proof
- screenshot and support email
Check every marketplace you sell on
CoverageBefore you commit, list your marketplaces and check them one by one with the new tool. Belgium, the Netherlands, Poland and Sweden are weak spots for both Jungle Scout and Helium 10. ZonGuru only covers the US and UK. Sellerboard works on every Amazon marketplace.
On Helium 10 Platinum, remember the three marketplaces are a lifetime count: pick them once.
- Weak spots
- Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Sweden

What makes leaving Jungle Scout go wrong
The same mistakes keep showing up in customer complaints and seller forums. None of them is technical. They're calendar or method slips, and each one costs more than the time it would have taken to avoid it.
Missing the renewal date
A yearly renewal on Brand Owner is $1,548, and no guarantee applies. Set a reminder two weeks before the date, not the night before.
Canceling before exporting
Without an export, your Product Tracker and keyword lists go away with the subscription. Starter has no export at all: plan a month on the next plan up, or screenshots.
Switching suites without changing habits
Moving to Helium 10 only to use keyword research again means paying more for the same thing. Start from your real usage list, not from a tool's reputation.
Trusting a single estimate
Every one of these tools estimates sales; none has Amazon's numbers. Always cross-check an estimate against Keepa's rank history before you buy stock.
Forgetting a marketplace
A tool that's great on Amazon.com can be blind in Belgium or Poland. If you sell across Europe, check each marketplace before you pay for a year.
Comparing prices without comparing currencies
Keepa bills in euros, and Sellerboard adds VAT for EU sellers, so the amount on your card can differ from the sticker price. Compare the final charge. For more depth, our rankings of Amazon FBA tools, Amazon tools for brands and Amazon agency software cover each tool in detail.
- List of modules you really use, with their replacement
- Product Tracker, keywords and history exported outside Jungle Scout
- Next billing date noted, reminder set two weeks ahead
- Estimates compared on three products with known sales
- Automated review requests turned off before enabling the new tool

- Canceled at least one day ahead, screenshot and written confirmation kept

Jungle Scout alternatives: frequently asked questions
What is the best alternative to Jungle Scout?
For a private label brand that wants a full suite, Helium 10. For wholesale, SmartScout. For a seller who mainly wants their margin, Sellerboard, often paired with Keepa. There's no best tool in the abstract: start from what you actually use. Our ranking of Amazon FBA tools scores them all on the same grid.
Is there a free alternative to Jungle Scout?
Not a full suite. Keepa is free up to 200 tracked products, Helium 10 has a free plan limited to its extension, and Sellerboard offers a one-month trial with no card. With those three you can validate products and track margin for a month without paying, which Jungle Scout doesn't allow: it has no free trial.
Helium 10 or Jungle Scout: which should I pick?
Jungle Scout is cheaper to start ($29 a month billed yearly versus $99 for Helium 10 Platinum). Helium 10 goes further on listings, rank tracking and reimbursements, but Platinum is limited to three lifetime marketplaces. If you sell in more than three countries, check that first.
Does Jungle Scout work well for UK sellers?
Yes, the UK is a fully supported marketplace, alongside Germany, France, Italy and Spain: 20 of 23 features. The Supplier Database, Category Trends and Competitive Intelligence stay US-only. We found no pricing in pounds: plans are listed in dollars.
How do I get a refund from Jungle Scout?
Only on a first subscription, within the 7-day guarantee. Contact support as early as possible and keep a written record. Renewals are never refunded, and partly used periods aren't prorated.
How do I cancel Jungle Scout without being charged?
Cancel from your account at least one day before the billing date, screenshot the screen and ask support for written confirmation, since some customers say they never got one. You keep access until the end of the paid period, so export your data first.
Are Jungle Scout's sales estimates accurate?
They give you a ballpark, not a number. Sellers outside the US find them unreliable, and two tools can differ tenfold on the same listing. Always check against Keepa's rank history and, if you can, on a product whose sales you know.
Can a team share one Jungle Scout account?
Yes, but not on Starter, which doesn't allow extra seats. On Growth Accelerator and Brand Owner, each extra seat costs $49 a month or $459 a year. If you work with a VA, compare with Seller Assistant App, which includes two seats from Pro, or SmartScout at $49 per extra user.
Which tool should handle Amazon ads after Jungle Scout?
Helium 10 manages ads on Diamond, for 2% of managed spend. For a dedicated tool, our ranking of Amazon PPC software compares the options. If you'd rather hand it off, our Amazon Ads agency runs it for you.
