PartnerStack alternatives: where to go and how to move without losing a partner

Eight destinations, one for each reason people leave, and an eight-step migration plan.

The short answer: FirstPromoter or Rewardful if you sell a SaaS subscription and your program is mostly affiliates, Tolt or Dub Partners if you want a done-for-you PartnerStack move, Reditus if the B2B partner marketplace is what keeps you there, Partnero for several programs with no overage fees, Tapfiliate for a small, capped program, and Kiflo if your partners are resellers who register deals. One thing first: PartnerStack publishes no prices except an SMB offer "starting as low as $6,000 for the first year". Everything else lives in your contract, and its renewal date sets your timeline. We compared all eight destinations and read their pricing pages in 2026.

The ranking is editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.

The real reasons

Why SaaS teams leave PartnerStack, and what they leave behind

PartnerStack (formerly GrowSumo) isn't a bad product. It's a PRM, partner relationship management software: affiliates, referrals, resellers, deal registration, plus a marketplace where the company says it has more than 115,000 active partners. Vendors who run programs on it still rate it highly on B2B review sites. People leave for other reasons: a price you only learn on a sales call, a platform far bigger than a simple affiliate program needs, and partners complaining about payouts. Six reasons, each one checked.

You only see the price on a demo

The pricing page lists three plans, Launch, Growth and Enterprise, without a single number. PartnerStack says pricing depends on program size, features and support level, and that your final plan and price are confirmed during the demo. The only official figure is an SMB offer "starting as low as $6,000 for the first year", and previous or active customers don't qualify. No free trial, no rate card, so no way to compare before a sales conversation.

Too much platform for an affiliate program

PartnerStack is built for resellers and sales-assisted deals: partner training, challenges, market development funds (MDF), segmentation. If your program is affiliates sharing a link, you're paying for a machine and using one drawer. SaaS company AddSearch says, in a case study Rewardful published, that it paid $18,000 a year at PartnerStack and needed a dedicated program manager; on Rewardful it moved to $99 a month.

One tracking method on the entry plan

On Launch you pick affiliate link tracking or lead and deal registration. Not both. Links plus leads plus deals, with custom workflows and priority support, sit on Enterprise. A SaaS with affiliates and a handful of resellers gets pushed up the range fast.

Your partners complain about getting paid

Partners withdraw through Stripe or PayPal, once a month. Reviews mention payout fees, a minimum threshold, and transfers landing a week after the request. On a big consumer review site PartnerStack drops to 1.7 out of 5 across 62 reviews, 64% of them one star: vanished commissions, a status that says "Sent" while support says it's still processing, no support at all. Most of those reviews come from partners, not vendors. But they're your partners.

A contract with a date you need to know

PartnerStack doesn't publish a commitment length, notice period or fees. It's all in your order form, including the renewal date and the window to cancel. Start your migration before that date. Start three weeks after and you've paid for a year of overlap.

Leaving takes method

Export exists, but it's split up: partners, members, commissions, transactions, customers, leads, deals, each in its own CSV. The file arrives by email within 15 minutes and the download link only works for 30 minutes. Partners who found you through the PartnerStack marketplace won't follow on their own: you get their contact details in the export, and winning them over is on you.

The 8 alternatives

PartnerStack alternatives, tool by tool

For each tool: why move to it, who it fits, where it falls short, how to migrate from PartnerStack, and what it costs. Prices come from official pricing pages in 2026. Scores come from our ranking of SaaS affiliate software, for the tools it covers.

01

FirstPromoter: the most complete option for SaaS

Most complete

Why move to FirstPromoter. It covers more billing systems than anyone here: Stripe, Paddle, Chargebee, Recurly and Braintree. Recurring commissions are calculated from real payments, not a pixel. And the pricing page includes a historical Stripe import when you migrate, so customers partners already referred stay attached to them. It scores 4.3 out of 5 in our SaaS affiliate software ranking, the top score in this group.

Who it's for. Growing SaaS companies with a real affiliate and referral program, especially if billing doesn't run only through Stripe.

Who it's not for. A reseller program built on deal registration. That's not what it does.

The catch. Starter at $49/mo ($490/yr) caps out at $5,000 in monthly affiliate revenue and 1,000 affiliates. Go past that and you're moved up automatically: Business at $99 ($15,000 in affiliate revenue, unlimited affiliates), then Enterprise at $149. Some users say setup is hard without a developer, and reporting could be better.

How to migrate. Use the 14-day trial (no credit card) to connect billing and pull in your Stripe history before you pay. Then import partners from the PartnerStack CSV and spot-check three known customers to confirm the right partner gets credit.

02

Rewardful: the cheapest way out for a Stripe SaaS

Small Stripe programs

Why move to Rewardful. It's the opposite of PartnerStack: a public price, a Stripe connection in a few clicks, and no percentage. Rewardful states that every plan has a 0% transaction fee on affiliate-attributed revenue. It's a Stripe Premier Partner with two-way sync, and it supports Paddle too. It scores 4.2 out of 5 in our ranking.

Who it's for. Founders and small SaaS teams on Stripe whose program is mostly affiliates and who have nobody running it full-time.

Who it's not for. A program that relies on a marketplace to find new partners. One reviewer notes it's harder to discover new affiliates here than on PartnerStack.

The catch. Starter at $49/mo ($490/yr) stops at $7,500 in monthly affiliate revenue; Growth at $99 goes to $15,000; Enterprise starts at $149 for $30,000. Managed Payouts, where Rewardful pays your partners, is an optional 3%. Without it you pay partners yourself, and that's the top complaint in reviews.

How to migrate. Rewardful publishes a PartnerStack migration guide. Two things stand out. Partners can keep the same handle in their link (think ?via=justin). But past invoices and commissions can't be imported, so keep your PartnerStack export as an archive.

03

Tolt: a PartnerStack move and zero payout fees

Fast migration

Why move to Tolt. Tolt offers to bring a PartnerStack program over: partners, customers and commissions, history included, with the switch planned with you around your renewal date. Partners sign in to the new portal with the same email. The other draw: Tolt takes no fee on partner payouts, the very thing PartnerStack partners complain about. It scores 4.0 out of 5 in our ranking.

Who it's for. SaaS teams on Stripe, Paddle or Chargebee that want to switch quickly and have a lot of affiliates.

Who it's not for. A small program chasing the lowest price. Entry is $99, double Rewardful or FirstPromoter.

The catch. Growth costs $99/mo for $20,000 in monthly partner revenue, Pro $199 for $50,000, both with unlimited affiliates and two months free on annual billing. Growth leaves out Radar fraud protection and the option to remove "Powered by Tolt". One COO also wishes he could generate a commission 45 days after payment.

How to migrate. Ask for the PartnerStack move during the 14-day trial (no card), and time it to your renewal date. Then compare imported affiliates, customers and commissions against your CSV export, line by line for your ten biggest partners.

Reditus: a B2B marketplace without the PartnerStack price

B2B marketplace

Why move to Reditus. It's the closest thing to PartnerStack in spirit: affiliate software for B2B SaaS with its own partner marketplace. If the marketplace is what makes you hesitate, look here first. White-glove migration is free on every plan, links are preserved, and Reditus plans an overlap while the cookies already set run out.

Who it's for. B2B SaaS companies that recruit part of their partners through a marketplace and want to keep that channel.

Who it's not for. A small program. The marketplace only opens on Scale Up, at $399/mo.

The catch. Growth is $99/mo billed annually ($1,188/yr), for up to $60,000 in ARR; Scale Up goes to $360,000; Enterprise starts at $799/mo. If Reditus pays your partners, it adds 5% by card or 2% by invoice on top of commissions. There's no free plan.

How to migrate. Ask for the free migration during the 14-day trial (no card), and get in writing what moves: partners, links, attached customers. Stripe coupons can be tracked too, handy if your partners hand out codes.

Partnero: several programs, no overages

Flat pricing

Why move to Partnero. Partners, transactions and revenue are unlimited on every plan, and Partnero says there are no overage fees. Your bill stays put even if the program takes off. The Partner plan runs three separate programs (say, affiliates, customer referrals and resellers), which covers part of what you did in PartnerStack.

Who it's for. SaaS teams that want separate programs under one flat cost.

Who it's not for. A team with nobody to configure it. Some users find setup complex and the docs unclear.

The catch. Starter is $49/mo billed annually ($59 monthly) for one program; Partner is $159 annually ($199 monthly); Enterprise starts at $599/mo. Each extra seat is $29/mo. Payouts through your own PayPal or Wise account carry no Partnero fee; if Partnero handles payouts, it takes 7%.

How to migrate. Partnero offers migration help on request. Ask before your 30-day trial starts so you have time to check everything. Connect Stripe, import the partner CSV, then rebuild commission rules program by program.

Tapfiliate: simple, capped, no percentage

Simple programs

Why move to Tapfiliate. No cut of your sales, a public rate card, and a Stripe sync that ties transactions to affiliate tracking. For a program that's starting out or staying small, it's easy to read, and it works for SaaS as well as ecommerce.

Who it's for. Small programs with a few dozen affiliates, run by one person.

Who it's not for. A program that already has hundreds of partners. The caps hit fast.

The catch. Launch costs $89/mo ($74 billed yearly) for 50 affiliates, 5,000 clicks, 500 conversions and one user. Beyond that, every 1,000 clicks costs $1.50 and every 1,000 conversions $15. Scale at $179 ($149 yearly) goes to 150 affiliates and 10,000 conversions. Watch the 14-day trial: it bills automatically at the end unless you cancel.

How to migrate. No PartnerStack importer, so you start from the partner CSV. Count your active affiliates before picking a plan, or Launch's 50 seats fill up on day one.

Dub Partners: keep every link, on your own domain

Links preserved

Why move to Dub Partners. Dub started as a link shortener, and that's its edge in a migration. Its PartnerStack importer recreates each affiliate link as a short link on your own domain "without breaking any existing PartnerStack affiliate links", and imports commissions with their status (pending, approved, paid). It scores 3.6 out of 5 in our ranking.

Who it's for. SaaS companies whose partners have posted links everywhere (blog posts, videos, newsletters) and can't afford to lose any.

Who it's not for. A program that needs a marketplace or real reseller tooling.

The catch. The partner program requires the Business plan, from $81/mo billed yearly, and Dub charges a 5% fee on partner payouts (3% on Enterprise). The importer skips commissions without a Stripe customer ID, and your PartnerStack triggers don't carry over: commission rules get rebuilt by hand.

How to migrate. Create a production secret API key in PartnerStack (Settings, then the API tab) and paste it into Dub's importer. Then list the commissions it skipped for lack of a Stripe ID and handle them manually.

Kiflo: a reseller PRM with a price on the page

Resellers

Why move to Kiflo. If you used PartnerStack mostly for resellers and referral partners who bring deals, affiliate software won't cut it. Kiflo is a PRM: partners register leads and deals, and you track them through to signature. Unlike PartnerStack, it shows an entry price.

Who it's for. B2B software companies selling through resellers, integrators or partner agencies.

Who it's not for. An affiliate program built on shared links. Rewardful costs about an eighth as much.

The catch. Core is $399/mo for up to 50 active partners, which comes to $4,788 a year, with three partner managers. The contract runs 12 months, billed annually. Plus and Premier are quote-only. There's no trial, just a guided proof of concept, and no cancellation fee.

How to migrate. Start from the Leads and Deals CSVs in your PartnerStack export: that's where your open deals live. Use the proof of concept to import your ten most active resellers and run the registration flow with them.

Migration plan

Moving off PartnerStack in eight steps

Order matters. Each step protects something: your budget, the money you owe partners, recurring commissions, and the trust of the people sending you customers.

01

Read your contract and find the renewal date

First

Open your PartnerStack order form and write down the end date, the non-renewal notice period and how notice has to be sent. That date sets your timeline, not the tool you pick.

Start migrating several weeks ahead of it. Starting after means paying for a year of overlap.

If you skip it
another year to pay
02

Export everything, and download it right away

Day 1

In the All partners tab, open Export records and pull every file: partners, partner members, commissions, transactions, customers, application responses, leads, deals, training. Each CSV arrives by email within 15 minutes.

The trap: the download link only works for 30 minutes. Grab each file as it lands and store it outside PartnerStack. That's your permanent archive.

Delivery
within 15 minutes
Link valid
30 minutes
03

Pay out pending balances inside PartnerStack

Critical

Settle everything owed from PartnerStack before you cut over. Don't move balances from one system to another: that's how partners get shortchanged, with a commission counted twice or never.

The new tool starts at zero, with only commissions earned after the switch.

If you skip it
underpaid partners
04

Keep the customer-to-partner link through the Stripe customer ID

Recurring revenue

A recurring commission only exists if the tool knows which customer came from which partner. That link runs through the Stripe customer ID. If it's missing, next month's commission doesn't go out, and your partner notices before you do.

Check that the customers CSV includes that ID. Dub's importer skips commissions without one, and FirstPromoter pulls Stripe history directly.

If you skip it
lost recurring commissions
06

Rebuild commission rules and archive history

PartnerStack triggers and commission rules don't migrate: rates, recurring duration, approval period, bonuses. Write them down from your account and rebuild them by hand.

History doesn't always come along either. Rewardful imports neither past invoices nor past commissions. Your day-one export is your proof if a partner disputes an amount.

If you skip it
different rates on day one
07

Test attribution end to end

Before announcing

Before telling anyone, run the full path: a click on a partner link, a signup, a real small payment, then confirm the right person gets the right amount.

Run it again with an old-format link and a new one. It's the only way to know that partner posts and videos published years ago still pay out.

When
before any announcement
08

Tell partners, biggest first

Most delicate

Call your biggest partners first, then email the rest: new dashboard, new payout method, what changes for their links. Run a 30-day pilot with your top ten partners before opening it to everyone.

Expect an activity dip for 2 to 4 weeks. Partners from the PartnerStack marketplace won't follow on their own, so reach out personally using the contacts in your export.

Migration pitfalls

What makes a PartnerStack exit go wrong

The same mistakes show up in vendor migration guides and in partner complaints. None of them is strictly technical. They're oversights, and each one costs money or a partner.

Missing the renewal date

With no public pricing and no published notice period, everything sits in your contract. A migration started after renewal costs you another year. Put the date in your calendar the day you decide to leave.

Closing the account too early

Close PartnerStack only once your archive checks out: every CSV opened, every partner there, every pending commission paid. A closed account is history you can't show a partner who disputes a payout.

Losing the Stripe customer ID

Without it, recurring commissions stop quietly. The partner who brought you a big account gets nothing, and finds out before you do. Check that column before any import.

Comparing prices but not fees

A monthly price isn't the whole story. Rewardful takes 3% if it pays your partners, Partnero 7%, Reditus 5% by card or 2% by invoice, Dub 5% on Business, Tolt nothing. Affiliate revenue caps move you up a tier too: $5,000 at FirstPromoter, $7,500 at Rewardful, $20,000 at Tolt.

Buying affiliate software for resellers

If half your partner revenue comes from resellers registering deals, Rewardful or Tolt won't handle it. You need a PRM like Kiflo, or two tools.

Announcing before checking

A partner who clicks their new link and sees nothing track loses trust in a day. Test attribution end to end, then announce. To go further, read our ranking of SaaS affiliate software, our guide to leaving impact.com, and our rankings of SaaS referral software and affiliate software.

FAQ · 8 questions

PartnerStack alternatives: common questions

  • How much does PartnerStack cost?

PartnerStack doesn't publish pricing. The only official number is the SMB offer, "starting as low as $6,000 for the first year", for new customers only. Everything else is negotiated on a demo based on program size, features and support level. Figures you see on other sites are estimates, not vendor prices.

  • Is PartnerStack free?

No. There's no free plan and no trial, just a demo. Partners join for free; the company running the program pays. If you want to try before paying, Partnero gives you 30 days, and FirstPromoter, Tolt and Reditus 14 days with no card.

  • What's the cheapest PartnerStack alternative for a startup?

Rewardful and FirstPromoter start at $49/mo, Partnero at $49/mo billed yearly. The right pick depends on your cap: Rewardful's Starter covers up to $7,500 in monthly affiliate revenue, FirstPromoter's up to $5,000. If euro pricing and a younger tool work for you, Affonso starts at €15/mo billed yearly in our SaaS affiliate software ranking.

  • Do I need a PRM or affiliate software?

Affiliate software if partners share links and earn a commission on sales. A PRM if partners are resellers who register leads and deals, take training and sell with you. PartnerStack does both, which is why it costs what it does. If you have both kinds, look at Partnero (several programs) or pair an affiliate tool with Kiflo.

  • Can I keep my affiliate links when I leave PartnerStack?

Yes, depending on the tool. Dub recreates each link on your domain without breaking existing PartnerStack links, Reditus says it keeps links, and Rewardful can keep the same handle. Either way, test an old link after the switch: one click, one payment, the right partner credited.

  • Which PartnerStack alternative has a partner marketplace?

Reditus, on its Scale Up ($399/mo) and Enterprise plans. It's the closest match to the PartnerStack marketplace for B2B SaaS. No marketplace guarantees your current partners will follow, so contact them yourself.

  • Does PartnerStack charge partners fees?

Partners withdraw through Stripe or PayPal, monthly, and reviews complain about payout fees and a minimum threshold. PartnerStack doesn't publish a fee schedule we could read. If payouts are your partners' main gripe, Tolt takes no fee on payouts, and Partnero charges nothing when you pay through your own PayPal or Wise.

  • How long does a PartnerStack migration take?

Export files arrive within 15 minutes. Tolt times the switch to your renewal date. Partners are the real timeline: plan a 30-day pilot with your top ten and a 2 to 4 week activity dip. Add your contract's notice period, which only your order form tells you.
