Sellerboard alternatives: switch, or fix what you already pay for?
Six reasons sellers leave, five destinations in detail, and an eight-step exit that keeps your history.
The short answer: SellerLegend if your order volume swings month to month or you want a second opinion on your margins. Shopkeeper if your bookkeeper wants clean exports into QuickBooks or Sage. Sellerise if you also want FBA reimbursements tracked without a commission. Helium 10 or Jungle Scout if what you really miss is product and keyword research. And if your only complaint is the bill, stay put: Sellerboard Standard is $15 a month billed yearly. One warning before you touch anything: Sellerboard won't export reports on a free trial, and its COGS report (cost of goods sold) only holds your current costs. We compared these tools on their official pages and on seller feedback in 2026.
Rankings are editorial: a sponsored spot is always labeled on its card, and no affiliate link changes a score.
Why sellers leave Sellerboard, and why most stay
Sellerboard has a strong reputation: 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot (163 reviews, 90% five stars) and 4.7 on the App Store for its iPhone app. Some sellers say they moved to it from Helium 10 because they stopped trusting Helium 10's profit numbers. So when people do leave, it's for specific reasons. These six show up again and again in reviews and seller forums.
A dashboard that crawls on big accounts
This is the top complaint in 2026. Sellers describe the site as close to unworkable when they pull long date ranges, plus filters that unselect themselves. Even happy mobile app reviewers admit it's slow and accept it in exchange for accurate math. If you live in the dashboard all day, that adds up.
Ad spend and margins that import wrong
A profit tool is only as good as its numbers. One-star reviews describe marketing expenses imported incorrectly and still unfixed after three weeks, and margins off on a handful of products that support couldn't explain. On the Shopify version, merchants report ad spend syncing hours late or not at all. A wrong margin makes you kill a winner or keep a loser.
An order cap that bumps you up a tier
Standard covers 3,000 orders a month. Past that you move to Professional (6,000 orders, $29 a month or $23 billed yearly), then Business (15,000, $39) and Enterprise (50,000, $79). For a seasonal brand that blows past the cap in Q4 only, that's a higher tier paid all year on an annual plan. Some competitors bill overage per order instead.
Several accounts or clients to manage
Sellerboard is built around one seller and their accounts. Agencies and multi-brand operators usually want numbers grouped by client or brand, with different permissions for each person. Granular user permissions sit on the top plan only, and the tool tops out at 30,000 products before you need a custom deal.
No product research, no keywords
Sellerboard tells you what you make on what you already sell. It won't tell you what to launch next or which keywords to target. Private label sellers often end up paying for two tools. If you already pay for Helium 10 or Jungle Scout, consolidating starts to look tempting.
Missing integrations outside Amazon
Users miss WooCommerce and eBay connections and say they couldn't figure out how to tie it into QuickBooks. If you sell on several channels or your accountant wants clean entries every month, expect manual exports. There is a Shopify version, but it's a separate app with its own pricing ($9 to $79 a month).

Sellerboard alternatives, tool by tool
For each tool: why move to it, who it's for, its catch, how to migrate from Sellerboard, and what it costs when the vendor publishes pricing. Prices are in USD, before tax. The last card covers the case where staying is the smart call.
The tools
SellerLegend: for seasonal volume and a second opinion on margins
Seasonal volumeWhy switch to SellerLegend. Its pricing fixes the cap problem. Each plan covers a volume (2,500, 5,000, 15,000 or 50,000 orders a month). Go over and you pay $0.002 per extra order, with no cutoff. Your plan then adjusts to the average of your last two months. If your sales double in November and December, you pay for the spike per order, not for a bigger tier all year.
Who it's for. Established sellers whose volume moves around, and anyone who wants to cross-check their margins. Reviewers also point multi-account sellers its way.
Who it's not for. A small seller under 500 orders a month. The entry plan is $49.99 a month, more than three times Sellerboard Standard on annual billing.
The catch. Sellers coming from newer tools often call the interface dated. And the pricing page shows no annual rate: you pay monthly.
How to migrate. Start the 21-day no-card trial while Sellerboard is still running. Connect your Amazon account, re-enter your product costs, then compare both tools on the same month, SKU by SKU. Small gaps? You can move. Big gaps? Figure out which tool is right before you cancel anything.
- Price
- Starter $49.99/mo (2,500 orders)
- Next tier
- Advanced $59.99/mo (5,000)
- Trial
- 21 days, no card
- Catch
- no annual rate listed
Shopkeeper: when your bookkeeper matters as much as your dashboard
AccountingWhy switch to Shopkeeper. It's Sellerboard's closest rival on profit tracking, with one edge for sellers who run tight books: exports into QuickBooks and Sage. If you spend half a day each month reshaping spreadsheets for your accountant, that's the feature that matters. Shopkeeper also took over Fetcher (formerly HelloProfit). If an older roundup still lists Fetcher, it's now the same company.
Who it's for. Sellers who close their books monthly, file sales tax or VAT in several places, and want their profit tool to feed their accounting software.
Who it's not for. Anyone who also wants automated review requests or product research. Shopkeeper sticks to the numbers.
The catch. Pricing scales by order count, and the entry tier is sized for small volume. Past it, the bill climbs faster than Sellerboard's. Check the pricing page against your busiest month of the year, not your average. Shopkeeper also doesn't publish how far back it pulls your Amazon history on import: ask before you pay.
How to migrate. During the trial, connect your account, re-enter product costs, then have your bookkeeper run a test export on a month you've already closed. If the entries match, the hard part is done.
- Best for
- bookkeeping, multi-region tax
- Exports
- QuickBooks, Sage
- Absorbed
- Fetcher (formerly HelloProfit)
- Catch
- no review requests
Sellerise: profit tracking plus FBA reimbursements
FBA reimbursementsWhy switch to Sellerise. Amazon regularly loses or damages inventory in its warehouses and doesn't always pay you back unless you file. Many sellers pay a separate service that keeps a percentage of every recovered dollar. Sellerise bundles reimbursement tracking into the subscription with no fee on what you recover. If you're paying that percentage today, that's money back in your pocket.
Who it's for. FBA sellers with a lot of units in Amazon's warehouses who want profit and reimbursements in one place.
Who it's not for. Merchant-fulfilled sellers. No FBA, no reimbursement argument.
The catch. The official page explains reimbursements in detail but doesn't print its plan prices. Tiers are set by number of accounts and orders, so get the exact quote for your volume before comparing. The trial is also short, too short to compare a full month of margins.
How to migrate. Because the trial is brief, prep before you start it: your SKU list with costs, your fixed expenses, your Sellerboard exports. Then spend the trial on two checks: profit on your top five products, and the list of reimbursement cases the tool finds.
- Best for
- FBA with heavy inventory
- Included
- FBA reimbursements, no commission
- Trial
- short, prep first
- Catch
- pricing on request
Helium 10: research and profit under one login
All-in-one suiteWhy switch to Helium 10. If you pay Sellerboard for profit and another tool for research, Helium 10 covers both: product research, keywords, listing optimization, ad tracking and a profit module. One subscription, one Amazon connection.
Who it's for. Private label brands that work their listings and keywords every week.
Who it's not for. A seller who only needs profit. You'd pay $99 a month instead of $15. And some sellers moved the other way, from Helium 10 to Sellerboard, because they found its profit data unreliable.
The catch. Platinum is $129 a month, or $99 billed yearly, and covers 3 marketplaces. The full profit and P&L module may not sit on that plan: check the pricing page for which tier includes it before you cancel Sellerboard.
How to migrate. Run both for a month. Compare net profit on your ten best sellers. As long as the gap is more than a few percent, keep Sellerboard.
- Labs score
- 4.4/5
- Price
- Platinum $129/mo ($99 billed yearly)
- Best for
- private label, all-in-one
- Catch
- 3 marketplaces on Platinum
Jungle Scout: product research first, sales data on the side
Product researchWhy switch to Jungle Scout. It's built to help you find what to sell: sales estimates right on the Amazon page, a product database, niche research. For a seller launching several products a year, it's the piece Sellerboard doesn't have.
Who it's for. Private label sellers hunting for their next product who want something simpler than Helium 10.
Who it's not for. Anyone hoping to replace Sellerboard's profit and inventory tracking on the entry plan. Starter has no sales analytics, no inventory management and no FBA reimbursements.
The catch. Starter is $49 a month, or $29 billed yearly. Sales analytics come with Growth Accelerator, at $49 a month billed yearly. There's no free trial and the refund window is short. In most cases Jungle Scout sits next to a profit tool rather than replacing it.
How to migrate. Buy one month, not a year. Do your product research in week one and check its sales estimates against your real Sellerboard numbers on three products you know well. Our guide to switching from Jungle Scout covers the trip in the other direction.
- Labs score
- 4.2/5
- Price
- $49/mo ($29 billed yearly)
- Best for
- finding a product
- Catch
- no inventory on Starter
Staying on Sellerboard: when switching costs more
CheapestWhy stay. Under 3,000 orders a month, nothing in this guide does the same job for less than $15 a month billed yearly ($179 a year). The trial is a full month with no card, Standard includes 150 review request emails, and you can cancel anytime.
Who it's for. A seller whose only gripe is one wrong number on a SKU or a flaky ad import. Both usually get fixed without changing tools.
How to fix it. Three settings fix most bad margins. Enter COGS per batch, with the date of every supplier price change. Add your indirect costs (software, freelancers, samples) as expenses, or your profit looks too good. And when an ad import looks off, export the advertising report and compare it with Amazon Ads before you contact support. A ticket with a precise gap is easy for them to check.
The catch. Slowness on long date ranges won't go away. Work in shorter ranges and save full-year views for exports.
- Labs score
- 4.5/5
- Price
- Standard $19/mo ($15 billed yearly)
- Included
- 3,000 orders, 150 review requests
- Catch
- slow on long date ranges
The alternatives at a glance
Our default call: stay on Sellerboard if your volume is steady and the numbers check out. Try SellerLegend if your volume swings or you doubt your margins. One row per tool: on the left, what it does better than Sellerboard; on the right, the trial and the one thing to check before you migrate.
| What it does better | Trial and what to check | |

Leave Sellerboard in eight steps
A profit tool holds things you won't find anywhere else: your product costs, expenses you typed in by hand, and months of calculated margins. The order of these steps protects that history.
The steps
List everything you entered by hand
Day 1Anything Amazon doesn't know about lives only in Sellerboard: COGS per product and per batch, inbound shipping costs, indirect expenses, review request settings, alerts. Write it all down and screenshot each setting. That's what you'll rebuild in the new tool.
- Time
- about an hour
- If you skip it
- a missing cost, a wrong margin
Make sure you can export at all
TrapSellerboard doesn't allow report downloads on a free trial. Exports need a paid plan. If you canceled during the trial or a payment failed, reactivate for as long as the exports take. One month of Standard is $19, far less than losing months of history.
- Rule
- no exports on trial
Export all ten reports in short chunks
Day 1Sellerboard offers ten reports in .xlsx or CSV: dashboard by day, by month and by product, orders, sales by product per month, advertising, repeat customers, stock history, COGS and refunds. Emailed reports must stay under 16 MB. Above that, download directly or split the range, one quarter or half-year at a time.
Export from the date you first connected Amazon. That's where your data starts.
- Formats
- .xlsx or CSV
- Email limit
- 16 MB per report
Save your past costs with their dates
TrapThe COGS report only shows current costs, not their history. If your supplier changed prices three times, only the latest comes out. Before you leave, record old costs and their dates by hand, or keep supplier invoices next to the export. Otherwise your new tool recalculates past margins with the wrong cost.
- What exports
- current costs only
Run the new tool in parallel
Connect the new tool to Amazon without turning Sellerboard off. Re-enter costs and expenses, then wait for a full month to import. No competitor offers a native Sellerboard import, so plan for the manual re-entry.
- Time
- one month of overlap
Compare both tools on the same month
Take your ten best sellers and compare revenue, Amazon fees, ad spend and net profit, tool against tool. A small gap is usually an expense entered differently. A big gap means one of them is wrong: find out which before you go further.
- Method
- 10 SKUs, one month, 4 lines
Run review requests from one tool only
If the new tool also sends review requests, switch off Sellerboard's on the same day. Two tools emailing the same buyer about the same order means an annoyed customer and a risk under Amazon's rules.
- Rule
- never two tools at once
Revoke access, then cancel
LastOnce the new tool checks out, remove Sellerboard from the authorized apps list in Seller Central, then cancel the subscription. Keep your exports in a dated folder with your old costs. It's your only record of margins calculated before the switch.
- Where
- Seller Central, authorized apps

What makes a Sellerboard exit go wrong
Leaving a profit tool doesn't break anything visible on day one. The damage shows up three months later, when you compare a margin with last year and it no longer means anything. These are the mistakes that keep coming up.
Canceling before exporting
The classic sequence: trial a competitor, cancel Sellerboard, then find out the history won't come out. Export first, on an active plan. A seller with two years of data in Sellerboard is often right to keep it one more month.
Assuming your history comes along
The new tool re-reads what Amazon gives it, and how far back varies by vendor. Your COGS, your manual expenses and your old supplier prices don't come from Amazon. They don't follow you. Ask each vendor how many months it imports before you choose.
Comparing profit with different fees
One tool counts long-term storage fees, another doesn't. One spreads ad spend per product, another at account level. Before you decide a tool is wrong, line up which fees each one counts. Otherwise you switch tools over a settings difference.
Leaving over speed without timing it
Slowness on long ranges is real, but every tool has slow screens. During the trial, open your heaviest view (a full year, all products) in both tools and time it. That's the only way to know you're actually saving time.
Paying for two suites to solve one problem
Move to Helium 10 for profit while keeping Jungle Scout for research, and you pay for two suites. Pick your main need first. Our rankings of Amazon FBA tools, tools for brands and Amazon agency software help you settle it.
Forgetting tax in the comparison
Most of these vendors list prices before tax, and Sellerboard adds VAT for EU-based sellers. Compare pre-tax prices against each other, then add tax once at the end.
- Sellerboard plan active for the whole export
- All ten reports exported in .xlsx or CSV, in short ranges
- Past COGS recorded with their dates
- Manual expenses and settings listed with screenshots
- New tool running in parallel, costs re-entered
- One month compared on ten SKUs, gaps explained
- Review requests running from one tool only
- Access revoked in Seller Central, then canceled
Sellerboard alternatives: frequently asked questions
Is Sellerboard accurate?
For most sellers, yes: 4.5 out of 5 on Trustpilot, with 90% five-star reviews. Reported errors mostly involve ad imports and badly configured products. Before blaming the tool, check your per-batch COGS and indirect expenses. They're the most common cause of a wrong margin.
Is there a free Sellerboard alternative?
Not for full profit tracking over time. Serious tools are paid and offer a trial: a month on Sellerboard, 21 days on SellerLegend, a few days on Sellerise. A spreadsheet fed by Seller Central reports works for a few SKUs, at the cost of hours every month.
Can you export your data from Sellerboard?
Yes, as ten reports in .xlsx or CSV, but only on a paid plan: nothing exports during the trial. Split long ranges, because emailed reports must stay under 16 MB. And save past COGS separately, since the report only shows current costs.
Sellerboard vs Helium 10: which is better for profit?
Sellerboard if profit is your main need: $15 a month billed yearly versus $99 for Helium 10 Platinum. Helium 10 earns its price if you also work keywords and listings every week. Some sellers have left Helium 10 for Sellerboard because they didn't trust its profit data.
What's the best profit tool for multiple seller accounts?
Look at SellerLegend, which reviewers recommend for multi-account sellers and which prices by order volume. On Sellerboard, granular user permissions are on the top plan only. For agencies, our Amazon agency software ranking goes further.
What happens when you go over 3,000 orders on Sellerboard?
You move to Professional, which covers 6,000 orders for $29 a month, or $23 billed yearly. The next caps are 15,000 and 50,000 orders. If you only exceed the cap a couple of months a year, compare with SellerLegend, which charges $0.002 per extra order.
Does Sellerboard work for Shopify stores?
Yes, through a separate Shopify app with its own pricing: $9 for 600 orders, $19 for 1,800, $39 for 5,400 and $79 for unlimited, with a 30-day trial. Its reviewers flag ad spend that syncs late, so check that during the trial if ads drive your store.
How long should you keep Sellerboard after switching?
At least one full month of overlap, so you can compare both tools on the same sales. Keep paying until every export is done and checked. A month of Standard costs $19; a wrong margin on your best seller costs a lot more.
