Overview

What changes when Claude can run an SFDR 2.0 check

The EU's revised sustainable finance disclosure rules are still a proposal, and teams want to know where their funds might land. With this connector, you name a fund or paste an identifier, and Claude returns Clarity AI's simulated category assessment with the contribution and exclusion evidence explained in plain English, ready to discuss with a compliance team.

Assess one fund by name. An ESG analyst types a fund's name; sfdr20_check_by_query resolves it and runs the simulation in a single pass, so the analyst gets the likely category without hunting for identifiers.

Screen a fund range. A portfolio manager searches a fund house with search_securities, then picks the funds that deserve a check, by ISIN or by name.

Turn raw flags into a memo. A compliance officer already holds the contribution and exclusion flags; interpret_sfdr20_result turns them into wording that can go into an internal report or a client note.

What it will not do: the result is a simulation, not a regulatory ruling, and it may shift as Brussels refines the text. Two of the four tools are legacy aliases on Clarity AI's own server. Nothing is saved to a Clarity AI account, and nothing runs by itself when a fund's data moves: Claude only checks while it answers you. The Integrations hub lists the platforms we document.

Vocabulary

Five words before you connect

The vocabulary Claude uses around this connector, in one minute.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and a service, so Claude can call it while it answers you.
Tool
One named thing a connector lets Claude do. Claude picks the ones it needs by itself; the directory sheet lists them by name.
Authorization
The sign-in screen of a service, where you grant Claude the access it uses afterwards. Given once per person, and revocable.
Approval
The confirmation Claude waits for before it changes something in an account, shown in the conversation when it matters.
MCP
The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant such as Claude talk to an outside service.
Connect

Connect Clarity AI to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

Find Clarity AI in your settings

Open Claude's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and search for Clarity AI in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it for the organization before members can use it.

  2. 02

    Start the connection

Click Connect on its row. If the link stops working later, choose Disconnect and connect again: in most cases that is enough to restore it. Nothing else is needed on Claude's side.

  3. 03

    Check what is being granted

If a service shows an authorization screen, read it before you accept: it belongs to the service, not to Claude, and it sets the scope of the access. You can withdraw that access later from the same place.

Tools

The 4 tools, grouped by what they do

Clarity AI gives Claude 4 tools: 4 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.

One group only: all four look up funds or interpret results. Clarity AI's server describes each one, and the names stay exactly as Claude shows them.

search_securities

Looks up funds by keyword, ISIN or CUSIP through Clarity AI's SFDR demo service. It is the starting point when you do not yet hold the exact identifier of a fund.

When it helps
you want every fund of one asset manager before checking them one by one.

sfdr20_check

Runs the simulated SFDR 2.0 assessment for a fund whose ISIN is already known. Clarity AI lists it as a legacy alias of a newer check by ISIN, kept for backward compatibility.

When it helps
a fact sheet gives you the exact identifier and you want the evidence straight away.
Watch out
the server also asks for an email address as a required field, and the ISIN must be exactly 12 characters.

sfdr20_check_by_query

Takes a fund name or a free-text request, resolves the fund and returns the interpreted assessment in one go. The publisher marks it as a legacy alias of its preferred name-based check.

When it helps
a client asks about a fund by its marketing name and nobody has the ISIN to hand.
Watch out
the tool Clarity AI recommends instead is not listed on the directory sheet.

interpret_sfdr20_result

Converts raw contribution and exclusion flags for each article category into category-level assessment evidence written in plain language, which Clarity AI presents as its interpretation step.

When it helps
you received the raw flags from a colleague and need a paragraph your compliance committee can read.

Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude stops and asks for your go-ahead before each action it takes on an account for you. All four tools here are marked read-only by Clarity AI's server.

On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also restrict what a connector may do for the whole organization, for example keeping reading and closing writing, and no member overrides that from their own account. Claude never works beyond the rights of the person who connected it, and since this server asks for no sign-in, there is no private account behind it at all.

Plans

Which plans include it

None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows availability by plan. Connector by connector, that answer is published nowhere: it is a real gap in the catalogue.

What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner turns the connector on for the organization before members use it. For the current state of this one, check its sheet in the official directory, the only place showing it.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you; nothing fires when a fund's data or the draft regulation changes.

The tool list is an observed floor, not a promise: an administrator can open actions that no public sheet shows. The verification badge is not a security audit, and Anthropic states on every sheet that it does not control which tools a publisher exposes. Only Clarity AI documents this connector; no Claude help article covers it. For a connector from a very different field, see the Claude affinity connector.

FAQ

Questions about the Claude Clarity AI connector

01What can Claude do with the Clarity AI connector?
Claude can find investment funds and return Clarity AI's simulated classification under the proposed SFDR 2.0 rules. Its four tools search funds by keyword, ISIN or CUSIP, run the check from an ISIN or from a fund name, and translate raw contribution and exclusion flags into plain-language evidence. Clarity AI's own server describes each tool, so nothing here is guessed from a name. The output suits analysts and compliance teams preparing for the transition.
02Can Claude change or save anything in Clarity AI?
No tool on the directory sheet writes. All four consult Clarity AI's fund data and return results into the conversation, without saving a portfolio, a report or a setting anywhere. That is the floor observed on the public sheet, not a guarantee for the future, since an administrator can open actions no public page shows. If you want to keep an assessment, copy it from the chat into your own document.
03Does Claude ask before running an SFDR 2.0 check?
Claude's default rule is to ask for confirmation before any action it takes on an account for you. No source describes a specific confirmation for the Clarity AI tools, and all four only consult data, so the general rule is what applies. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, owners can also decide whether members may let some actions through without being asked again each time, and can restrict the connector for everyone.
04Which Claude plans include the Clarity AI connector?
No official source publishes plan availability connector by connector, and none of the 819 directory sheets shows it. The general rule is that remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner or Primary Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. Clarity AI's page names no Claude plan. Only the connector's sheet in the official directory shows its current state for your account.
05Does Claude see my portfolio holdings through Clarity AI?
No. Clarity AI says the server requires no authentication, so it is not tied to a personal account or to your holdings. Claude only sees the funds you name or search for, and the data Clarity AI returns about them. If you want an assessment of a whole portfolio, you list the funds in the conversation yourself. Claude never works beyond the rights of the person who connected it, and here no sign-in brings a private account into play. One detail to know: the check by ISIN asks for an email address as a required field.
06Can I rely on the SFDR 2.0 category Claude gives me?
Use it as an informed estimate, not as a final answer. Clarity AI describes the assessments as simulated, based on its disclosure data and its modelling of the European Commission's November 2025 proposal, and warns they can change as the framework evolves. The publisher also calls it a live tool that will move with the EU discussions. For a filing or a client commitment, your compliance team keeps the final say.
07Claude or an automation tool for SFDR 2.0 screening?
They answer different needs, so the choice depends on the task, not on a ranking. Claude suits questions asked on the spot, such as checking a fund a client mentions or explaining a set of flags, and it only acts while you are talking to it. An automation tool suits repeated jobs that run without you, such as re-screening a fund list every month. Many teams end up using both side by side.
