What changes once Claude can reach your Quo account
Quo is a business phone system, and the connector hands Claude your calls, texts and contacts. Instead of replaying voicemails or scrolling through threads, you ask a question and Claude pulls the history itself, then summarizes it. It can also send a text or save a contact, and Quo says it asks you first for both.
Know what customers said without replaying every call. With fetch-call-transcripts and fetch-messages, Claude reads calls, voicemails and texts from the inbox you name and sums up recurring questions or complaints.
Reply from the right number. list-inboxes shows which lines exist, and send-message texts one person or several teammates from your Quo number once you approve.
Keep the contact list tidy. get-contact and list-contacts look people up; create-contact and update-contact save or correct their details.
What Claude will not do: it does not place calls, it cannot read transcripts on numbers where Quo has them switched off, and every text it sends uses prepaid credits. Nothing happens on its own either: no tool reacts when a call is missed. And Claude does not delete contacts or conversations. That kind of automatic follow-up belongs to an automation tool, a different job, covered on our Quo Make integration page.
Five words before you connect
The vocabulary Claude uses around this connector, in one minute.
- Connector
- A link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so Claude can work in it while it answers you.
- Tool
- One named thing the connector lets Claude do. Claude chooses the tools it needs by itself, and the directory lists them by name.
- Authorization
- The Quo sign-in screen where you hand Claude the access it will use. Given once per person, and it can be taken back.
- Approval
- The confirmation Claude waits for before it does something that changes your account, shown in the chat at the right moment.
- MCP
- The shared standard connectors are built on: it is what lets an assistant like Claude talk to an outside service such as Quo.
Connect Quo to Claude in three steps
- 01
Find Quo in Claude
Open Claude's settings, go to Customize then Connectors, and look for Quo in the list. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner enables the connector first; each member then signs in on their own.
- 02
Start the connection
Click Connect on the Quo row, then sign in to Quo in the window the service opens itself, not inside Claude. If the link breaks later, use Disconnect and connect again.
- 03
Read the authorization screen
Check what the screen lists before you accept. It belongs to Quo, not to Claude, and it sets what the access covers. You can also withdraw that access later from your Quo account.
The 9 tools, split by what they do
Quo gives Claude 9 tools: 5 that read your account, 3 that change something in it, and 1 no official source describes.
Three groups: what Claude reads, what it changes, and what no official source describes. Tool names stay as Claude shows them.
- 5 read
- 3 write
- 1 not documented
What Claude can read in Quo
5 toolsFive tools that read calls, texts, inboxes and contacts. Quo says reading uses no credits.
fetch-call-transcripts
Retrieves call history and voicemail transcripts from your Quo numbers, using filters to keep what matters. Claude can then summarize what callers raised.
fetch-messages
Pulls text message history from any of your Quo inboxes, filtered by contact, date or topic, so Claude can read back a thread or sum it up.
list-inboxes
Lists the inboxes in your Quo workspace, which tells Claude which phone numbers are available.
list-contacts
Goes through your Quo contact list so Claude can find people and see who is already saved.
get-contact
Opens one contact's details in Quo so Claude can use them in its answer.
What Claude can change in Quo
3 toolsThree tools that change Quo. Two of them wait for your approval, per Quo.
send-message
Asks you firstSends a text from your Quo number to one person, or the same text to several teammates, without opening the Quo app.
create-contact
Asks you firstAdds a new contact to Quo with the details you give Claude.
update-contact
Approval: see the ruleChanges the details of an existing Quo contact, for example a new email or a different company.
Not documented
1 toolThe directory lists this name and nothing more. No official text says what it does.
list-users
This name appears in the directory's tool list and nowhere else. Neither Quo's documentation nor any Claude page describes it, so this page says nothing more about it. Treat any answer that leans on it with care until a source documents it.
What Claude checks with you first
By default, Claude stops and asks before each action it takes on an account for someone. Quo confirms it for texts and new contacts.
On Team and Enterprise workspaces, owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked each time. They can also limit what a connector may do for the whole organization, for example leaving reads open and closing writes. Nobody overrides that from a personal account. Claude also works with the rights of the person who connected, nothing more: Quo says the integration only reaches what your Quo account can already see.
Which plans include it
None of the 819 sheets in the official directory shows plan availability. The answer per connector is published nowhere.
The published rule is general: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner opens a connector for the organization before members can each connect. For the live state of this one, check the Quo sheet in the official directory. Quo's own help page says something on the subject; the limits section below sets both texts side by side.
Where this connector stops
A connector is not an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers you, so nothing starts when a call is missed or a text arrives.
Everything here comes from Quo's help center and the directory sheet: no Claude help page covers this connector. The badge in the directory is not a security audit, and Anthropic says on each sheet that it neither picks a publisher's tools nor guarantees their behavior. Connect Quo because you already trust it with your customer conversations, and remember that every text Claude sends is billed like one you type. Other apps are in our Integrations hub.
Which Claude users can use the Quo connector?
- Claude help center, general connector rule ↗September 2026Remote connectors are open to all users; on Team and Enterprise an Owner enables each one first.
- Quo help center, Claude article ↗September 2026 (read on)The publisher describes Quo as an official connector available to all Claude users.
What this page followsThe two texts point the same way, but Quo leaves out the Owner step that Anthropic requires on Team and Enterprise. Neither is outdated; Anthropic's rule is the one that covers organizations. Check the directory sheet on your own account for the live state.
