Overview

What changes for your marketing team

Peec AI tracks how your brand shows up in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Google AI Overviews and AI Mode, Claude, Microsoft Copilot and Grok. With the connector, you ask in plain English and Claude reads the numbers from your Peec dashboard itself.

Check where the brand stands. To see how the brand compares with tracked competitors, get_brand_report returns visibility, sentiment, position and share of voice, and list_brands confirms which brands the project tracks.

See who the AI engines cite. get_domain_report and get_url_report show the domains and pages the engines retrieve and cite, across AI search engines.

Review what's being tracked. list_projects, list_prompts, list_topics and list_tags lay out what Peec monitors, organized by topic and label.

What the sheet doesn't cover: it lists no tool that creates or edits a prompt, topic or tracked brand. Peec's own docs do describe write tools that the sheet leaves out, and the limits section puts the two side by side. Nothing runs in the background either, so no report sends itself on a schedule. That's a job for an automation tool, a different line of work; the Integrations hub covers that side.

Vocabulary

Five words before you start

The vocabulary used below, one sentence each.

Connector
The link you set up once between Claude and an account you already have, so it can pull from it while it answers.
Tool
One specific, named action the connector makes possible. Claude picks which ones to call; the directory names each of them.
Authorization
The service's screen where you agree to give Claude access. It's granted once per person and taken back the same way.
Approval
The moment Claude stops to ask for your OK before it changes something in an account, right inside the chat.
MCP
The open standard connectors are built on, the one that lets an assistant like Claude exchange with a third-party service.
Connect

Connect Peec AI to Claude in three steps

  1. 01

    Open the connector list

In Claude's settings, go to Customize, then Connectors, and find Peec AI. On a Team or Enterprise workspace, an Owner or Primary Owner has to enable it before each member can connect.

  2. 02

    Sign in to Peec

Click Connect on its row: Peec opens its consent page in your browser, where you sign in and allow access. If the link ever breaks, hit Disconnect and connect again.

  3. 03

    Read the authorization screen

Before you accept, read what the screen says: it's Peec's, not Claude's, and it sets how far the access reaches. Peec's consent page asks you to sign in and choose Agree & Allow Access, and the session then persists across conversations.

Tools

The 8 tools, grouped by what they do

Peec AI gives Claude 8 tools: 8 that read your account, 0 that change something in it.

The directory sheet only lists lookup tools. Names stay in English, exactly as Claude shows them.

What Claude reads (8)

8 tools

Eight tools that read your Peec projects and reports without changing them.

list_projects

Lists every project your account has access to. Peec says this call always comes first, since most of the other tools need a project to work on.

When it helps
your account reaches several projects and the analysis has to start from the right one.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_brands

Shows the brands in a project: yours plus the competitors Peec tracks for you. It's the reference list before any comparison. Like most of the connector's tools, it works inside a project picked beforehand.

When it helps
before comparing, you check which competitors the project actually tracks.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_prompts

Shows the prompts tracked in a project, and the list can be filtered by topic or by tag. Each prompt belongs to one topic, which is how the rest of the reporting is organized.

When it helps
you want to reread the prompts tracked under one topic or tag.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_topics

Returns the topics that group a project's prompts, with each prompt sitting in exactly one topic. Handy when you'd rather read results by theme than question by question.

When it helps
results are easier to read by theme than prompt by prompt.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

list_tags

Lists a project's tags, cross-cutting labels that can span several topics. They're how you carve out a subset of prompts when topics aren't granular enough.

When it helps
a subset of prompts carries the same label and you want to follow only that slice.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_brand_report

Returns brand visibility, sentiment, position and share of voice across AI search engines. It's the report to open when you want to measure up against competitors.

When it helps
you need your brand's visibility, sentiment, position and share of voice set against competitors.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_domain_report

Gives, domain by domain, how often AI engines retrieve a source and how often they cite it. You see which sites carry weight in the answers on your market.

When it helps
you want to know which source domains AI engines retrieve and cite.

Sourcedocs.peec.ai · October 1, 2026 ↗

get_url_report

Goes down to the exact address: retrieval and citation metrics for each page across AI search engines, where the domain report stops at the site level.

When it helps
one page keeps coming up in AI answers and you want its retrieval and citation figures.

Approvals

What Claude asks before acting

By default, Claude pauses to get your OK before every action it takes on an account for you. The request appears in the chat, when it matters.

The eight tools on the sheet are lookups, and no source describes a confirmation specific to any of them. Peec says its write tools, which the sheet doesn't list, are flagged so the client asks for confirmation before the call. On Team and Enterprise, Owners decide whether a member may let some actions through without being asked again, and can restrict the connector for the whole organization. And Claude acts with your Peec permissions, nothing more.

Plans

Which plans it's available on

The 819 sheets in the official directory show no plan availability at all. For any given connector, that information isn't published anywhere.

What is published is the general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile. On Team and Enterprise, an Owner or Primary Owner enables them for the organization before members connect. The current state shows on the Peec AI sheet in the official directory, checked from your account.

Limits

Where this connector stops

A connector isn't an automation. Claude calls these tools while it answers, so no report builds itself.

By default the sheet only exposes read tools. That's an observed floor, not a guarantee, and Peec's own docs list far more tools than the sheet does. The connector is documented by its publisher alone, with no Anthropic page; the rest of the family sits on the Claude connectors hub. The directory badge isn't an audit: Anthropic doesn't pick the tools a publisher exposes or guarantee how they behave.

Two official sources disagree

How many tools does the Peec AI connector give Claude?

What this page followsNeither source is dated as stale. This page only describes the 8 tools on the sheet, because those are the only ones the directory publishes. What Claude actually sees in your account shows up in the connector's settings once it's connected.

FAQ

FAQ about the Claude Peec AI connector

01What can Claude do with the Peec AI connector?
Claude can read your brand's AI search visibility data the way Peec measures it. The eight tools on the sheet cover your projects, tracked brands, prompts, topics and tags, plus three reports: brand visibility against competitors, cited domains and cited pages. You ask in plain English and Claude picks the report that answers it, Every call respects the same project and organization permissions as your Peec dashboard session. Peec adds that any project member can use the read tools.
02Can Claude edit my prompts or brands in Peec?
Going by the directory sheet, no: its eight tools only look things up. Peec's documentation, however, also describes write tools that create, edit or delete prompts, topics, tags and tracked brands, and those don't appear on the sheet. A read-only list stays an observed floor, not a guarantee. What your account really exposes can be checked in the connector's settings once connected, which is the place to look before counting on a write.
03Does Claude ask before acting in Peec?
By default, Claude asks for confirmation before every action it takes on an account on your behalf. No source describes a rule specific to the eight tools on the sheet. For its write tools, Peec says they're flagged so the client asks for confirmation before the call. On Team and Enterprise, Owners decide whether members can let some actions through without a prompt, and they can restrict the connector for the whole organization.
04Which plans is the Peec AI connector available on?
No official source publishes plan availability for this connector, and no directory sheet shows it. Anthropic's general rule: remote connectors are open to all users on Claude, Cowork, Claude Desktop and mobile, with an Owner enabling them first on Team and Enterprise. On Peec's side, you need an account with at least one project. The directory sheet, opened from your own account, is the only view kept current, so check it there rather than trusting a blog post.
05Does Claude see every project in our Peec account?
It sees what your own Peec session shows you, nothing more. Every call respects the same project and organization permissions as your dashboard. A project you can't open stays invisible, and the tools behind a feature that isn't enabled on a project don't show up at all. On top of that, a Team or Enterprise Owner can restrict the connector for the whole organization, and nobody lifts that from a personal account.
06Why can't Claude find some Peec tools?
Because some tools only show up when the feature behind them is enabled on your project. Peec names three such features: fact-checking, content optimization, and its website feature. While a feature is off, Claude doesn't see its tools at all, and calling one by name returns a not-found error. A Company Member can switch the feature on in Peec's company settings, under early access, and the tools then become visible to Claude. None of these tools appears on the directory sheet.
07Claude or an automation tool for Peec AI?
They do different jobs. Claude with Peec fits when a question comes up now: why the brand slipped, which competitor page gets cited, which domains the engines rely on. An automation tool fits when something has to run without you, on a schedule or on an event. None of the connector's tools starts on its own, so that kind of recurring tracking belongs with the second kind of tool. Peec's write tools, absent from the sheet, wouldn't change that.
