What you can automate

What can the B33 Make integration do for you?

The B33 Make integration lets a Make scenario, the automation you build as a chain of modules, create, read, change and delete records in B33: customers, invoices, invoice lines and payments. Each module is one brick of that chain, so you assemble the steps visually and never write code.

A customer file that fills itself. When a new client signs up in another tool, Create Customer adds them to B33, and Update Customer keeps their details current when something changes upstream. No more typing the same name twice.

Invoices built from real data. Create Invoice opens the document, then Create Invoice Line adds each item that came in from your order or project tool. The invoice ends up complete, line by line, without copy and paste.

Payments that land where they belong. Create payment records money received against the right invoice, and List Payments lets a later step check what has already been paid before anything else happens.

Know the limits before you start. B33 has no trigger in Make, so a scenario starts on a schedule or on another app, and the official documentation is limited because little public information exists about B33. If you want a second pair of eyes, our Make agency can review your build, and the Make training covers the editor from zero. Curious about the alternative? Connect

How do you connect your B33 account to Make?

  1. 01

    Add a B33 module

In your scenario, click the +, search for B33 and pick any module, for example Create Customer. Then click Create a connection: this is your B33 account linked to Make once, and every B33 module reuses it.

  2. 02

    Name it and authorize Make

Give the connection a name you will recognize later, which helps when you run several accounts. Then either authorize Make on the B33 page that opens, or paste the key B33 gives you, depending on what the window asks for.

  3. 03

    Save and check

Click Save. Once the connection exists, Make can read your B33 data and offer lists in the module fields, so you pick values instead of typing them. If nothing shows up, the connection is the first thing to recheck.

First scenario

Build your first scenario with B33

GoalWhen a new client arrives from another app, Make creates the customer in B33 and opens an invoice for them.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the +. B33 has no trigger, so the first module comes from the app where your new clients appear, such as a form or a CRM.

  2. 02

    Add Create Customer

Click the + on the right of that first module, search for B33 and choose Create Customer. Pick your connection, or click Create a connection if this is your first B33 module.

  3. 03

    Map the client data

Fill the customer fields by mapping values from the first module: click a field, then pick the matching item from the data the previous step received. Make lists what it can read once the connection works.

  4. 04

    Add Create Invoice

Add a third module with the +, choose B33 Create Invoice, and map the customer that Create Customer just returned. Each bundle, one item passing from module to module, carries that customer forward.

  5. 05

    Test with Run once

Click Run once to execute the scenario a single time. Open the bubble above each module to read the bundles it received, then check in B33 that the customer and the invoice really exist.

  6. 06

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module, every 15 minutes by default, or let the other app start it. Then switch the scenario on. Every module that runs on a bundle counts as one operation on your plan.

Modules

Every B33 module in Make, explained

B33 gives you 17 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

B331

Create Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Adds a new customer to B33 from data another app already holds, so the client exists before any invoice is written.

When to use it
right after a sign-up form or a won deal in your CRM, as the first B33 step of the scenario.
Watch out
if the client may already be in B33, run List Customers first, otherwise each run can add a duplicate.
B332

Create Invoice

ActionIn the docs only

Opens a new invoice in B33 for a customer, which gives the rest of the scenario a document to attach lines and payments to.

When to use it
when an order is confirmed or a project milestone is reached in another tool and billing should follow.
Watch out
map the customer returned by Create Customer or Get Customer, so the invoice lands on the right account.
B333

Create Invoice Line

ActionIn the docs only

Adds one item to an existing B33 invoice, so an invoice can grow line by line from the products or hours recorded elsewhere.

When to use it
after Create Invoice, once for every item of the order that feeds the scenario.
Watch out
the module adds a single line per bundle, so an order with several items needs one bundle per item to reach it.
B334

Create payment

ActionIn the docs only

Records a payment in B33, which keeps your books aligned with the money that actually came in through your payment tool.

When to use it
as soon as another app reports a successful payment for an invoice you issued from B33.
Watch out
check with List Payments that the same payment is not already recorded, or a retried run can log it twice.
B335

Delete Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Removes a customer from B33, which keeps the client list clean when an account is closed in the tool you treat as the reference.

When to use it
at the end of an offboarding flow, once nothing else in B33 still needs that client.
Watch out
a deletion cannot be undone from Make, so test it with Run once on a dummy customer before you switch the scenario on.
B336

Delete Invoice

ActionIn the docs only

Erases an invoice in B33, useful to clear drafts that a scenario created by mistake or that were cancelled at the source.

When to use it
when an order is cancelled in your sales tool before the invoice ever went out.
Watch out
there is no undo, so pass it an invoice found with List Invoices and try the flow with Run once on a test draft first.
B337

Delete Invoice Line

ActionIn the docs only

Takes one line off a B33 invoice while the rest of the document stays as it is, so a single wrong item can be fixed on its own.

When to use it
when a customer drops one product from an order that is already invoiced as a draft.
Watch out
find the exact line first with List Invoice Lines; removing the wrong one cannot be reversed from Make.
B338

Delete Payment

ActionIn the docs only

Removes a payment record from B33, which lets a scenario correct the books when a charge is refunded or was logged by mistake.

When to use it
after your payment tool reports a refund or a failed charge that B33 still shows as paid.
Watch out
the record is gone for good, so keep a trace elsewhere, for example in a sheet, before this step runs.
B339

Get Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Fetches one specific customer from B33, handing the next modules that customer's full record to work with.

When to use it
when you already know which customer is concerned and need their details before creating an invoice or a payment.
Watch out
it targets a single customer; to look someone up among many, List Customers returns zero, one or several matches instead.
B3310

List Customers

SearchIn the docs only

Searches your B33 customers and returns every match as a separate bundle, which is how a scenario checks whether a client already exists.

When to use it
just before Create Customer, to avoid duplicates, or to update a whole group of customers at once.
Watch out
a search can return zero, one or many bundles, and each module after it runs once per bundle, which adds operations.
B3311

List Invoice Lines

SearchIn the docs only

Returns the lines of your B33 invoices, one bundle each, so a scenario can read what was actually billed item by item.

When to use it
to copy invoiced items into a reporting sheet, or to find the one line you plan to update or delete.
Watch out
an invoice with many lines produces many bundles, and every following module counts one operation per line.
B3312

List Invoices

SearchIn the docs only

Pulls a set of invoices out of B33, each one as its own bundle, which is the starting point for any follow-up on billing.

When to use it
in a scheduled scenario that sends reminders or exports invoices to your accounting spreadsheet.
Watch out
no result is a normal outcome, not an error; the modules after it simply do not run on that pass.
B3313

List Payments

SearchIn the docs only

Retrieves the payments stored in B33 as separate bundles, giving you a clear view of what has already been collected.

When to use it
before Create payment, to skip a payment that is already recorded, or to feed a cash tracking sheet.
Watch out
several matches mean several bundles downstream, so add an aggregator if the next step expects a single total.
B3314

Update Customer

ActionIn the docs only

Changes the record of a customer who already exists in B33, so a correction made in your CRM also reaches your invoices.

When to use it
when the tool you treat as the reference records a change on a client that B33 also holds.
Watch out
the module needs to know which customer to change, so find it first with Get Customer or List Customers.
B3315

Update Invoice

ActionIn the docs only

Edits an invoice that already exists in B33 instead of creating a new one, so corrections stay on the same document.

When to use it
when an order changes after the invoice was opened, for example when the client asks for a correction.
Watch out
pass the right invoice from List Invoices; changing the wrong one is easy when several belong to the same client.
B3316

Update Invoice Line

ActionIn the docs only

Corrects a single line on a B33 invoice, without touching the other items.

When to use it
when the order tool reports a changed quantity on one product that is already billed as a line.
Watch out
List Invoice Lines is the reliable way to pick the line; guessing the wrong one silently changes another item.
B3317

Update Payment

ActionIn the docs only

Adjusts a payment already recorded in B33, which keeps the record right when the payment tool later corrects what it first reported.

When to use it
when a partial refund or a settlement correction arrives for a payment B33 already holds.
Watch out
identify the payment with List Payments first, and test with Run once before letting the scenario touch real records.

FAQ

B33 and Make: common questions

01Is the B33 Make integration free?
Yes, B33 is a standard app, so its modules are available from the Make Free plan. The Free plan allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution at most and files up to 5 MB. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. Make counts usage in operations: one module running on one bundle is one operation. Nothing is said here about the price of B33 itself.
02What does connecting B33 to Make require?
You need a B33 account and a Make account. Make's documentation lists no specific prerequisite for B33. Add any B33 module, click Create a connection, give it a name if you like, then authorize Make on the B33 page or paste the key B33 provides, and click Save. The connection is created once and reused by every B33 module in your scenarios. Because public information about B33 is limited, check the key on the B33 side first if the link fails.
03Can a B33 scenario start on its own when something changes?
Not from B33 directly, since the app has no trigger module in Make, scheduled or instant. There are two ways to start a scenario anyway. Put a trigger from another app first, for instance a new order in your shop or a new row in a sheet, and let it call the B33 modules. Or open the scenario with a B33 search such as List Invoices and set a schedule on it: every 15 minutes by default, down to 1 minute on paid plans.
04What if a B33 module is missing in Make?
It depends on the gap. B33 offers 17 modules in Make covering customers, invoices, invoice lines and payments, but no Make an API Call module, so you cannot send a custom request to B33 from Make. The documentation is also limited because little public information exists about the app. If a step is missing, check whether another app in your stack can hold that part of the process, or ask a Make specialist to review the scenario with you.
05Make or n8n for B33: which fits better?
It depends on what you need to build. On Make, B33 comes with 17 ready modules: 13 actions and 4 searches, available from the Free plan, and a visual editor where each step is a module you configure. The same app often has an n8n node too, so check what n8n offers for B33 before deciding. Compare the modules each tool gives you for your use case rather than a general ranking; the comparison page linked above lays out the criteria.
