What you can automate

What can the Exact Spotter Make integration do for you?

The Exact Spotter Make integration links your Exact Spotter account to Make, so other apps can create and change leads and contacts for you. You build a scenario, the automation you assemble in Make, from modules: each module is one brick, and here all 14 Exact Spotter modules are actions.

Three typical setups, presented as examples. A web form collects a prospect: Criar um Lead opens the lead and Criar um Contato adds the person behind it, with no copy and paste. A deal is signed in your contract tool: Pesquisar Leads finds the matching lead and Vender um Lead records the sale. A prospect answers again after a refusal: Recuperar Lead Descartado brings the lead back into play.

Know the limits before you start. The module names are in Portuguese and the Make doc gives no description for any of them, so each note below reads the name and tells you what to check with Run once. The app has no trigger module either: the scenario starts from another app or from a schedule. The doc itself warns that its content was generated by AI from the Exact Spotter documentation and may contain mistakes.

New to Make? The Make training covers the editor basics, and Make pricing explains how operations are counted. If you are still choosing a tool, n8n vs Make sets out the criteria side by side.

Connect

How do you connect Exact Spotter to Make?

  1. 01

    Copy your API token

In Exact Spotter, open Settings in the left menu, click Integrations, then select Token Exact API. Copy the token shown on screen: it is the key Make will use.

  2. 02

    Open the connection window

In your Make scenario, add any Exact Spotter module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Exact Spotter account linked to Make once, then reused by every module of the app.

  3. 03

    Paste the credentials

Give the connection a name in Connection name if you like (it is optional), then enter the token you copied or follow the on-screen instructions. The connection now appears in every Exact Spotter module.

First scenario

Your first scenario with Exact Spotter

GoalWhen a prospect fills in a form in another app, Make creates a lead in Exact Spotter and adds the matching contact.

  1. 01

    Create the scenario

From the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module: the trigger of the form app that collects your prospects.

  2. 02

    Add Criar um Lead

Click the + on the right of the form module, search for Exact Spotter and pick Criar um Lead. Click Create a connection if the account is not linked yet.

  3. 03

    Map the form answers

Fill the fields Make displays by mapping the answers from the form module. Each bundle, one form entry here, becomes one lead.

  4. 04

    Add the contact and test

Add Criar um Contato after the lead, map the person's details, then click Run once. Read the bundles each module received to confirm both records exist in Exact Spotter.

  5. 05

    Schedule and switch on

Set the schedule on the first module (every 15 minutes by default) and switch the scenario on. Each module run on a bundle counts as one operation on your plan.

Modules

The 14 Exact Spotter modules in Make

Exact Spotter gives you 14 modules. For each one: what it does for you, when to reach for it, and what to watch out for.

Exact Spotter1

Atualizar um Contato

ActionIn the docs only

Fixes contact details in Exact Spotter when they change elsewhere, so salespeople call the right number. Its name means “update a contact” and the doc describes nothing more.

When to use it
a customer edits their phone or email in your support tool and the CRM should follow.
Watch out
you update an existing record, so find it first with a search module and check the result with Run once.
Exact Spotter2

Atualizar um Lead

ActionIn the docs only

Changes an existing lead instead of opening a duplicate, which keeps one clean record per company. The Portuguese name translates as “update a lead”.

When to use it
a prospect books a demo in your calendar app and the lead should carry that new information.
Watch out
pair it with Pesquisar Leads upstream, since the module has to know which lead to change.
Exact Spotter3

Criar um Contato

ActionIn the docs only

Adds a person to Exact Spotter from data another app already holds, so nobody retypes names and emails. The name reads “create a contact”.

When to use it
right after Criar um Lead, to attach the person who filled in the form.
Watch out
running the scenario twice on the same entry can create the same contact twice; test with Run once before switching the scenario on.
Exact Spotter4

Criar um Lead

ActionIn the docs only

Opens a new lead in Exact Spotter when a prospect shows up in another tool, which is the usual first brick of a sales scenario. Its name means “create a lead”.

When to use it
a contact form, a chat or an ad platform hands you a new prospect.
Watch out
the doc lists no fields, so open the module after connecting and look at what Make proposes.
Exact Spotter5

Descartar um Lead

ActionIn the docs only

Takes a dead lead out of the active pipeline so the team stops chasing it. The name translates as “discard a lead”.

When to use it
a prospect unsubscribes or answers “not interested” in your email tool, and the lead should leave the queue.
Watch out
discarding is a decision, so filter carefully upstream; the list also holds Recuperar Lead Descartado if one slips through.
Exact Spotter6

Fazer uma Chamada API

ActionIn the docs only

May let you reach parts of Exact Spotter that the other modules skip: the name means “make an API call”, yet the Make doc does not describe how it works.

When to use it
only when none of the named modules covers what you need.
Watch out
this is not Make's generic Make an API Call module; open it, see what it asks for, and test it with Run once before building on it.
Exact Spotter7

Listar Webhook

ActionIn the docs only

Shows which webhooks exist on your Exact Spotter account, going by its name, “list webhook”. That helps you see what already talks to the CRM before adding more.

When to use it
during setup or a cleanup, to review what is already plugged in.
Watch out
the catalog types it as an action, not a trigger, so it will not start a scenario by itself.
Exact Spotter8

Pesquisar Campos Personalizados

ActionIn the docs only

Tells you which custom fields your Exact Spotter account uses, so you can fill them correctly in later modules. The name means “search custom fields”.

When to use it
your team added its own fields, such as a segment or a source, and a scenario must write to them.
Watch out
a search can return several bundles; read them with Run once before mapping anything.
Exact Spotter9

Pesquisar Contatos de um Lead

ActionIn the docs only

Brings back the people attached to a given lead, which is handy when one company has several contacts. The name reads “search contacts of a lead”.

When to use it
a lead is sold and you want to email every contact on the account through another app.
Watch out
expect zero, one or many bundles, and plan what the next module does with each of them.
Exact Spotter10

Pesquisar Leads

ActionIn the docs only

Finds existing leads so later modules can act on the right one instead of creating a copy. Its name means “search leads”.

When to use it
before Atualizar um Lead, Vender um Lead or Descartar um Lead, to get the lead they need.
Watch out
if the search finds nothing, the next module gets no bundle; check that case with Run once on a test entry.
Exact Spotter11

Pesquisar Leads e Contatos

ActionIn the docs only

Looks across leads and contacts in one go, which saves chaining two searches. The name translates as “search leads and contacts”.

When to use it
an email lands in your inbox and you do not know yet whether the sender is a lead or a contact.
Watch out
the results mix two kinds of records, so read the bundles with Run once before mapping fields.
Exact Spotter12

Recuperar Lead Descartado

ActionIn the docs only

Puts a discarded lead back into play when the prospect comes back, without rebuilding the record. The name means “recover discarded lead”.

When to use it
a former prospect replies to a campaign or books a call after being set aside.
Watch out
it only makes sense on a lead that was discarded, so find it first with a search module.
Exact Spotter13

Vender um Lead

ActionIn the docs only

Marks a lead as sold in Exact Spotter, so the win is recorded where the sales team reports. Its name translates as “sell a lead”.

When to use it
a contract is signed or a first invoice is paid in another app.
Watch out
the module has to know which lead closed, so run Pesquisar Leads before it and test the whole chain with Run once.
Exact Spotter14

Webhook

ActionIn the docs only

Relates to the webhooks of your Exact Spotter account, the links an app uses to call another one. The doc gives no description, and the catalog types this module as an action.

When to use it
alongside Listar Webhook, when you manage how Exact Spotter notifies other tools.
Watch out
it is not an instant trigger, so it will not start your scenario; open it and test before relying on it.

FAQ

Exact Spotter and Make: common questions

01Is the Exact Spotter Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Exact Spotter is a standard app, available from the Free plan. That plan allows 2 active scenarios, at least 15 minutes between two scheduled runs, 5 minutes of execution per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Every module run on a bundle counts as one operation. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams, Enterprise) lower the interval to 1 minute. Exact Spotter itself needs an active account and an API key, and its subscription is separate: check the Exact Spotter pricing page.
02What do you need to connect Exact Spotter to Make?
An active Exact Spotter account and its API token. In Exact Spotter, go to Settings, then Integrations, select Token Exact API and copy the token. In Make, add an Exact Spotter module, click Create a connection, optionally name it, then paste the token or follow the on-screen instructions. The connection is created once and every Exact Spotter module in your scenarios reuses it, so you never paste the token twice.
03Can Exact Spotter start a Make scenario in real time?
No. Exact Spotter has no trigger module in Make, so nothing in the app starts a scenario on its own. You start from another app instead: an instant trigger of your form or chat tool, or a scheduled trigger that Make checks on the scenario's schedule, every 15 minutes by default. The Webhook and Listar Webhook modules are typed as actions, not triggers, so do not count on them to launch the flow without testing.
04What if an Exact Spotter module is missing in Make?
It depends on what you need. Exact Spotter does not have Make's generic Make an API Call module. Its list does include Fazer uma Chamada API, whose name means make an API call, but the doc does not describe it, so test it with Run once before counting on it. Otherwise, handle the missing step in another app of the scenario, or ask the team for help on the build.
05Make or n8n for Exact Spotter?
It depends on your criteria, not on a winner. On Make, Exact Spotter brings 14 action modules, runs from the Free plan and connects with a single API token. The same app often has an n8n node too, so compare the actions each tool offers for your exact case, such as creating a lead and its contact from a form, and test that flow on both before committing, since the page you read here only covers the Make side.
