What you can automate

What can the Workiom Make integration automate?

The Workiom Make integration links your Workiom account to Make, a tool where you build a scenario: an automation made of modules, each one a single brick such as a trigger or an action. Make can notice records that were created or updated in Workiom, and it can add new records there, with no code to write.

Feed Workiom from the rest of your stack. A lead form, a signed quote or a support ticket lives in another app. Put that app's trigger first, then Create a Record, and each new item arrives in Workiom as a record your team can work on.

React when someone edits a record. Watch Updated Records picks up changes, so a status moved by a colleague can push a message or a row into another tool. For brand new entries, Watch Created Records does the same job at the start of the record's life.

Reach what the list does not cover. The Workiom app in Make has no module to search, update or delete a record. Make an API call fills that gap: it calls the Workiom API with the connection you already set up, as long as the API offers the endpoint you need.

One caution before you build: Make's own Workiom page says its content was generated by AI from the vendor's documentation and may contain mistakes, so trust the Workiom screen when a label differs. How do you connect Workiom to Make?

    Copy your Workiom API key

    In Workiom, open Account Settings, find the section labeled API key and copy the key shown there. Make needs it to act on your behalf, and you need an active Workiom account for the key to exist at all.

    Add a Workiom module in Make

    In a scenario, add any Workiom module and click Create a connection. A connection is your Workiom account linked to Make once; every Workiom module in your scenarios reuses it afterwards.

    Name it and paste the key

    The Connection name field is optional, but a clear name helps when you run several accounts. Paste the API key you copied, confirm, and Make now lists what it can read from your Workiom account.

    On the Scenarios page, create a new scenario and click the + to add the first module. This one belongs to the app where your leads arrive, not to Workiom.

    Search your form app by name, pick its trigger and connect the account. Each lead it sends becomes a bundle: one item that flows to the next module.

    Click the + on the right, search Workiom and choose Create a Record. Pick your connection, then fill the fields Make shows by mapping the lead's details from the first module.

01Is the Workiom Make integration free?
Yes, on the Make side. Workiom is a standard app, so it works on the Free plan, which allows 2 active scenarios, a minimum of 15 minutes between scheduled runs, up to 5 minutes per run, files up to 5 MB and 512 MB of data transfer. Paid plans (Core, Pro, Teams and Enterprise) drop the interval to 1 minute and remove the cap on active scenarios. You still need an active Workiom account with its own subscription, and Workiom's pricing page is the place to check that part.
02What do you need to connect Workiom to Make?
An active Workiom account and its API key. In Workiom, open Account Settings, find the section labeled API key and copy it. In Make, add any Workiom module, click Create a connection, give it a name if you like and paste the key. That connection is then reused by every Workiom module you add later, so you only do this once per account. If a menu name looks different, follow what Workiom shows, since Make flags its page for this app as AI-generated.
03Do Workiom triggers in Make react instantly?
No. Watch Created Records and Watch Updated Records are handled here as scheduled triggers: Make checks Workiom on the scenario's schedule, every 15 minutes by default, and at best every minute on a paid plan. Make's documentation lists them without a description, so their type is deduced from their names; an instant module would ask you to click Create a webhook when you connect it. Check the clock badge on the bubble when you add the module. If a delay of a few minutes matters, shorten the schedule on a paid plan.
04What if a Workiom module is missing in Make?
Use Make an API call. The Workiom app in Make lists only 4 modules, with nothing to search, update or delete a record. Make an API call reaches any endpoint of the Workiom API with the same connection, so those gaps can be covered as long as Workiom exposes them. You write the request yourself, so keep the Workiom API documentation next to you and read the returned bundle after a Run once. It depends on the tool you already run.
